I have an older Samsung that I’d like to use with the Arc I just bought. I’m planning to upgrade the tv to a Sony when they are next on sale, but I’m wondering if the arc will work with my current Samsung, which is model number UN65KU6290F.

It does have an hdmi arc port.

Yes, the Sonos Arc needs either HDMI arc or earc to work. So you will be fine.
