Think I found answer to why Sony remote doesn't work with Sonos. On your remote, tap the wrench button to get to Quick Settings. Then go to Bluetooth. In Bluetooth setting, turn it off and now the remote volume will control the Somos speaker. 

Ik have a LG Oled65CX3LA that I want to Work with a Sonos Beam gen2.I plugged the Beam in the eArc-port of the tv, changed the needed settings of the tv and have sound, but when I come to the tv-installation I get the message ‘ the arc-mode is not connected and the remote doesn’t change the volume.On the tv I even set the HDMI2-port to a soundbar, but Sonos is not listed in the options offered to choose.On internet Philips was told to choose, buy that doesn’t work.What van I do?

I have an LG C3 TV, a Sonos Arc, and a Sonos Sub Gen 3. Earlier today I factory reset all of these devices and started from scratch. I started by connecting the Arc to the TV and using video/audio content from the TV itself (antenna or TV apps). In this situation everything works as expected (audio is being passed through to the Arc, and I can use the volume +/- and mute buttons on the TV remote to control the volume of the Arc.I have two other HDMI devices that I would like to connect to the TV, a Samsung Blu Ray player, and an AppleTV 4k. As soon as I plug in the HDMI cable for either of these devices into the TV, I lose the ability to control the Sonos volume using the TV remote (or the other connected device remote).For example: If I connect the AppleTV and use the volume controls on the Apple TV remote, I can see it “changing” the TV volume via the TV interface (which has no effect since sound is coming through the Arc), but the volume changes aren’t passed onto t

From time to time we get a loud chirp out of our speaker(s) while streaming movies through our TV via our ROKU Ultra. I sit closest to a Sonos 5 so it’s a bit startling when, out of the blue, a chirp occurs. I’ve posted this before and the support staff, based on my previous diagnostic, had me reset the 5 that is closest to me. Well, I’m still getting the chirp.If a Moderator sees this, my diagnostic for this incident is: 1514047738

Sonos beam has audio interruptions/cuts out. I rebooted tv and speaker. Still having issues.How do I fix this. 

I have this week moved from Sky Q to Sky Stream using the puck . I also have a Sonos Arc which has had in the past  the usual sound delay problems which I successfully corrected using the amazing HD Fury Arcana device . I was previously watching UHD through Sky Q with no no sound delay issues . After  switching to Sky Stream I’m now faced with one of 2 options 1.no sound delay and not being able to select UHD2.Sound delay removing HD FURY  and seeing UHD .  The problem seems to be that Sky stream want you to connect the puck straight to my Panasonic TX-DX750B. If I route through the HD Fury it won’t allow me to select UHD ( screen just flashes ).  Maybe a different question but if I had an eArc enabled TV would all these  problems go away and there would no time delay issues and I could attach my puck straight into the tv and not through the HD fury . Thanks very much having read all this it’s probably better I post it

How do I set up my 2 era 100’s and my Sonia sub to my new Samsung smart tv.  please help for some reason I’m not finding a solution maybe this will get me the advice I need. 

I watched half of Top Gun Maverick on Paramount + yesterday in 5.1.   Second half played today but signal was Atmos.  All on ARC plus mini sub sounded great.  Do I have any choice in this or do I just take the signal that shows up. 

My TV unit has a central recess for my 55" LG OLED TV. I can get a nice riser to raise the position of the TV by 80 mm. I would plan to position the Arc in front and below the TV. The clearance between the front of the riser and the TV feet to the front of the unit will be 105 mm. The depth of the Sonos Arc is 117 mm. This would mean that the Sonos Arc would overhang the unit by 12 mm at the front, but all of its width and almost 90% of its depth would be supported by the unit.There would be 75 mm (about 3") on each side of the Arc, though some output of the side facing drivers should stand proud of the recess sides, as the recess sides are set slightly back from the front of the unit by 75 mm.Will this placement be OK? I have the arc, sub (gen 2) and 2x era 100 in the rear. trying to perform trueplay for first time. I receive an error before it even starts (see below). I'm using iOS 17 tried on ipad  pro, iphone 11 and 13 same error. This happens before the first part of the process is completed like it doesn’t get to the part where it asks for phone to be rotated, and I can't seem to figure out why. Only getting as far as pick the sitting spot then next I get true play errorWhen I cancel and try again I always get the same error.Has anyone else seen this issue and been able to resolve?

SetupTV: Samsung TU8000Soundbar: Beam (Gen 1) with 2 Sonos One Speakers4K player: Samsung UBD-K8500So I bought this 4k player especially to convert the sound of all my Blu-rays to Dolby Digital 5.1.But in the last week, this has stopped happening. No settings have been touched at all, and no wires have been removed or changed. The discs that used to play sound, no longer do. PCM 2.0 seems to work, but my 5 channel setup has disappeared overnight.Is this a known issue, or am I gonna have to do another expensive upgrade?

I’ve just got a Sonos Beam gen 2 and want to build surround sound with it. My first addition will be an Era 100. I know it would be ideal to add a pair but for the time being I’ll have just one. A review I read suggests an individual Era 100 can be added as a stereo pair. Is this correct? Hi all,A few days ago I bought a SONY XR-75X95L to replace my old SONY KD-55XD8005. On the KD-55XD8005 I could listen to SACD format CDs (UBP-X800M2 and the SONOS Arc / 2x Sub -Gen 3 / 2x One -Gen 2 ) perfectly, but with the X95L I can't listen to anything. Checking on the internet I have read that the SACD format has a very strict form of copy protection and requires the TV to play / pass it on, it involves a "chip" in the TV and very few have it. could this be the problem?Thanks and RegardsAngelo

My Arc has been having issues with connecting to my Samsung TV.  Prior to switching to the Samsung, I had a older Vizio.  The connection issue happened with the Vizio as well.  I would just unplug the HDMI and/or unplug the Arc and the audio would come back.  That is not the case with the Samsung.  The option for Home receiver Audio output on the TV goes away. Also, I do use a Nvidia Shield for my content. Is this a cable, TV, or Arc issue? I have replaced the HDMI and seems to still happen. 

 Advice needed.I currently have an Arc (behind the camera) plus Gen 2 sub (behind the couch) plus a pair of One surrounds on stands (shown) and just upgraded the One’s to Era 300 (which arrive tomorrow).   The floor displays what happens when our dog gets a new squeaky toy.   The right side is open to the dining room with a wall maybe 12 ft away. Right now when I tune the system I sit in the middle of the two surrounds for the initial settings but when people sit next to either surround it is too loud with the surround by their ear.   I also bought new stands for the Era 300’s but now I’m wondering if I should wall mount them.   I’d rather not. I was also thinking of moving the couch toward the TV a bit (maybe a foot) but the better half will strongly object. Anyone have a similar

I am setting up an outdoor theater with the intention of creating a 4.1 surround sound experience. Both front and back channels will be powed by two separate Sonos Amps connected through ethernet but in two separate locations from each other. One will be in my house and the other to our Gym that is 50 feet away from the main house. Both Amps will be powering separate pairs of JBL Control 25 speakers. My subwoofer is a JBL SB 210 powered by a Crown XTi 4000 amp. My subwoofer will be located under my deck and will need to connect to my rear channel Sonos AMP VS my front channel amp. My question is. Will I be able to get the same full cinematic bass signal from my rear channel amp as I would if it was connected to the front channel AMP. Or… will I only be getting the bass signal from what ever was mixed for the rear surround. I would like the full bass experience without needing to trench 50 feet of speaker wire just to connect my sub to my front channel amp.

My set up of Sonos arc+port+Chromecast+JVC projector worked well untill recently.It started loosing and breaking up sound. Either arc is working without surrounds or the arc is going silent and surrounds work on their own.Tried resetting the system and refreshing the wifi connection. No improvements.Any ideas what could be the problem welcome!Thanks!

My Sony TV (77" A80CK series) is connected to an Amp via ARC, which works fine. It uses the on-screen External Speakers control for sound.When I set the audio output on "TV Speakers," it starts playing through the TV Speakers, but then a few seconds later it says "switching audio to external speakers" and it plays the audio only through the External Speaker, which is my Sonos Amp. The Amp doesn’t seem to relinquish control back to the TV. I’ll say that for a few months it worked just fine. Seemed to stop working after a Sonos autoupdate - I since switched off auto updates and now only manually update Sonos.I’m going to setup an old receiver here instead of the AMP to test it. Has anyone tried this? I doubt this is an issue with a normal amplifier but I’ll find out. My current workaround is to unplug the HDMI cord to the AMP, but I’ll likely need to add an HDMI splitter. We need a discussion on this and Sonos ne

I have an LG OLED C1 Tv (2021) and just bought the Beam Gen 2.  The sound is great but the Magic Remote with the LG doesn’t control the volume of the Beam.I connected the TV to the Beam with HDMI-ARC.   I’ve tried with the Universal Remote set up but that also doesn’t work.  I’ve tried turning everything off and unplugging but doesn’t work.Has anyone had luck controlling volume of the  Beam Gen 2 with LG’s Magic Remote while connecting with the HDMI-ARC connection?  

Hello there!I would like to ask to anyone knowing about the setup that I intend to have.My setup would be as follows: 2 Sonos  five working with a projector connected to either an Apple TV or a fire tv cube.The questions are how do I connect the stereo pair to either of the systems?would there be delay playing movies?For the 2 sonos to work as a stereo would I need to have the sonos port to connect the directly via cable to the projector?should I connect both Sonos via Ethernet cable to the internet? thank you so much

I renovating a new house and plan to install a Samsung Frame TV. I want upgraded TV sound, but don’t want a soundbar. I will have Sonos Amps hardwired to various speakers throughout the house, including a pair of in-wall speakers near the TV. I would like to be able to push TV sound through these in-wall speakers, and still be able to drive music through them from one of my Sonos Amps (but not at the same time of course). I have no idea how to set this up. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

My Arc volume while watching  tv suddenly needs to be turned up a lot on my television in order to hear it. When I play music from it and the surround speakers it plays at normal volume. Any suggestions on how to fix the volume while watching the television

I have a Sonos Arc that I want to be able to switch between either a Samsung OLED TV and a BENQ W1800 4K projector.The TV and projector both have eArcWould i need some kind of device to switch between the inputs to the Sonos Arc?
