I have my living room set up with a Playbar, Sub, left and right surrounds Play 3. Often when I play a song it sounds like only the playbar has output and then maybe 30 sec later the sub comes in. I've dicconnected and reconnected it a few times. No change. 

My Sonos beam lost connectivity to Wi-Fi but connects on Ethernet. I have tried to factory reset, spent hours on the phone to the support team at Sonos and my internet provider and cannot get it to connect. I also noticed slight almost unnoticeable gaps in audio at the time WI Fi dropped. The only thing I can think to do next is try to connect on someone else’s WiFi or my phone as a hot spot on 5g Any ideas gratefully received 

I am able to get Dolby Atmos sound when watching shows on Apple TV+ and Disney+, but not when streaming from Amazon Prime Video or HBO Max. I am only getting Dolby Digital Plus (DD+) 5.1 with those two services, despite that the content has the Dolby Atmos badge under the title screen. My system is as follows:Surround sound: Sonos Beam (gen 2) paired with a sub mini and two Era 100s (as surrounds). This is plugged into the eARC hdmi port.TV: Sony Bravia - XR X90L (2023)Streaming Device: Apple TV 4k (3rd generation). This is plugged into  4k/120hz hdmi 2.1 port I’ve tried playing around with some audio setting on both the ATV and the TV, but so far, I can’t get HBO nor Amazon to play Atmos, yet Disney and Apple TV+ don’t have an issue. I will also say that I tested the native Amazon app on the Sony platform, and that also only gives DD+ 5.1. My Netflix subscription doesn’t support Atmos, so I can’t test that application. Any thoughts or advice would be greatly appreciated.

I’ve been using Beam gen 1 with my Samsung Frame TV. No problems. HDMI and all other cables are in the wall.  I’m now replacing with a Beam gen 2 (so that I can use new Eras 300 set as surround).  Is there any reason the HDMI cable that I’ve been using successfully with Beam gen 1 would not work with the Beam 2?  When I connect the new Beam 2 using the existing cable, nothing works.  So I tried the HDMI cable that came with Beam 2, it works, but it will be too short to run behind with wall.Why would the HDMI cable work for Beam 1 and not Beam 2? And if I need to buy a new cable, (that’s long enough), do I just need to get HDMI 2.1 for it to work?Thanks in advance!k

Bonjour la communauté j aurais une question sur  les réglages thrueplay , j ai installé ma barre de son beam et mes 2 enceintes era 100 dans mon salon . Pour ne pas utiliser tous les système quand j écoute la musique j ai mis ma paire de era enregistré sur l appli sur pièce à vivre et ma beam sur salon , je voulais savoir si lorsque je les appairent pour faire un système surround je suis tous le tps obliger de refaire les réglages thrueplay il n y’a pas un solution. Pour garder le réglage actif quand je passe du mode surround au mode stéréo pour les era ?merci pour votre aide

As far as I am informed it is still not possible to use two era 300’ s as a stereo pair when listening to music when these two era 300’s are setup in a surround setting together with an arc and a sub gen 3.If you want to use them as stereo pair,  everything needs to be installed from the start?And if I want to switch back to home cinema setup, I need to install them once more? Why is it not possible to switch between cinema setup and stereo setup in the Sonos appIt would be great when I can youse the 2 Era 300’s for listening to music or cinema with a simple press of a button. Will there be an update to let this work in the future ??  

Can a Playbase be connected to a DVD/CD player AND a TV at the same time?

Hi everyone, I’m just redesigning my open plan lounge and the sofa shall be in the middle. My only options to wall mount are either offset to the left and right directly behind (but this about 2.5m) or directly to the left and right of the sofa again about 2.5m or so.is there a optimal placement out of the two? I could get stands for behind the sofa but I have 3 young children and fear them knocking them over.  my worry is if they’ll be loud enough that far away? For reference I’m running an arc and 2 x sub gen 3s also

hi, I have several Play:1 speakers and I’m thinking of buying a BEAM or RAY to connect to my TV. Will it be possible to stream my tv sound on the Play:1 devices ?

I am wanting to set up a surround sound system in my basement. I have a sonos beam that will connect to the tv via hdmi arc. Then I have two in wall speakers (not sonos) that are above the tv to the left and right. I also have two ceiling speakers in the rear to the left and right. I also have a sony sub that I want to use. I would like all the speakers to play from my tv in sync. From what I read, I think that I will need two sonos amps, one to the front speakers, one to the rear speakers.Here are my questions:  How does the surround sound setup work with the beam? Do i choose the placement of the speakers on the app or something ? Which amp should i plug the sub into? Do i need to connect the amps to the tv via Hdmi arc and if so how would i go about doing that If not ^ and they work through internet, should I hardwire the beam and the 2 amps via ethernet? How reliable is this system vs a traditional AV receiver?

I just got an LG C3 Oled. I’m watching Top Gun Maverick on Prime in the LG Prime app. I have arc, sub, and era 300’s. TV to Arc is connected with the hdmi cable that came with the Sonos Arc. HDMI cable is plugged into eARC port. When I look at the Sonos app on my phone it shows Dolby Multichannel PCM 5.1. What am I missing?

Hi. I've seen some people describing loud sound pop and Audio loss when playing Dolby Atmos from Apple TV 4K and Sonos Arc. I don't experience loud pop, but I do experience Audio loss for approx. 1 second at random places when watching content with Dolby Atmos.My setup in short is: Apple TV 4K -> [Belkin High-Speed 4K/8K cable] -> Samsung QE75 [eArc] <- [Sonos cable] Sonos Arc (WiFi: One + One SL + Sub )I've been in contact with Sonos support Norway, and we've done some troubleshooting, but we haven't found a solution yet.My observations so far:Sound drops out for 1 second when playing content with Dolby Atmos from tv, HBO Max or Netflix from Apple TV 4K. Sound does NOT drop out when playing content with Dolby Atmos from tv, HBO Max or Netflix directly from Samsung TV. Once Dolby Atmos sound completely disappeared when I was watching a movie with Dolby Atmos. Every content I played from Apple TV with Dolby Atmos consistently had no sound. I shelled out for Sonos equipment and was exasperated to find that i can't get a drop of TV dialogue out of my two Era 100 speakers, after configuring them in a surround system with my Beam soundbar. Instead, they are just expensive paper weights if, say, I'm watching TV news or another talky broadcast (shows which barely have any surround sounds to emit). In other words, I can choose to set my new Sonos speakers up merely as extra speakers (good for news and talk shows) or as surround speakers (good for movies). But not both, nor with any way to toggle among sound profiles, nor adjust the sound to let dialogue through in surround. Whether by money-grubbing design (to get us to buy more speakers) or engineering incompetence, I simply can't use my expensive Sonos speakers for both surround sound AND dialogue. Do others have the same experience?

Hi, today I upgraded my Beam 1 to a Beam 2. I have two One surround speakers and a mini sub.I’m using a 2022 LG Oled with earc, I own, Switch, PS5, Xbox series X and Apple tv. Now, since upgrading I’m totally lost what my settings for each should be :( Currently with switch I’m getting Multichannel PCM 5.1. Which is what I should be getting.But on PS5 I set my settings to Dolby Atmos but the sonos app tells me that the audio is multichannel PCM 7.1. Even when using a Atmos game. Apple TVis also showing as multichannel PCM 7.1  Is that the correct audio that I should be getting as my system is only 5.1? Why 7.1 and not dolby?On Xbox, I have set it to Dolby atmos and with that it shows as Atmos in the app. But then I read that atmos on Series X has a delay. So, I'm lost as to what my best settings should be. Can someone here please be kind enough to what the best TV/console settings are for each device? I’ve done a search but there does not seem to be any PS5 settings suggested after it

I've used the Sonos arc, sub mini, and one SLs for over a year and I've never had any issues. Last week I decided to get two era 300s to replace my one SLs because I watch a lot of Atmos content. After I installed the era 300s, the whole system's sound cuts out randomly, and does not come back. I'll be watching a movie on say Disney+ and the sound will just cut out, not just in the 300s but all of the speakers, and the tv will continue to play the movie. All speakers are connected via wifi, I have rebooted my router and unplugged everything and plugged in the router, then tv, then the arc and each speaker to make sure they're all connected to the same network (2.4ghz). The Sonos arc is connected to my LG G2 77 tv via the hdmi cable that it came with to the tvs eARC port.  One way I've found to get the sound back, as it doesn't ever come back on its own, is I go into my TV's sound settings - > click on digital sound output - > change the sound from pass through to auto, and then b

I've connected my Arc to my Samsung QE65Q70 via the Arc HDMI, but only have PCM audio (no Dolby or DTS surround) through the Arc when playing blu ray discs on my PS5. Other audio sources, such as Netflix, do have surround. Is my TV compatible and what settings should I use to get surround sound when playing blu ray ray discs? Thanks

Hello! Today, I upgraded my Beam to gen 2. My TV is 2022 LG oled. This means that i can now get surround sound on my switch. Great! Except, that I use PS5 and switch in the same HDMI port with a switcher, because I’m out of ports. I read that to get surround audio on my switch I set digital sound output on my TV to PCM and HDMI input audio format to PCM. My question is, will these same settings give me surround on PS5 or do I have to change the TV’s settings each time I change console? Obv, not the end of the world but it would be nice if I didn’t have to switch. Tagging in @GuitarSuperstar and anyone else who is kind enough to help me!

Howdy!First my issue:TV Autoplay has a default behavior of setting the Arc volume to 10 if it is less than 10 when TV Autoplay triggers. I would like to have an option to either a) not have that default behavior happen or b) have that minimum 10 volume behavior also apply to grouped speakers.Or both, that’d be cool.Anywho, I have a full ARC setup with surrounds and subs in my living room. Works great. I mostly use it by chromecasting content to my TV. Usually I have all the sonos speakers in the common areas of my house grouped to the home theater. A lot of times I have the volume of all of the speakers set to 7 or 8 for background music (again, the source is my TV). When I come home or pick up where I left off and chromecast more content, TV Autoplay kicks in and sets my home theater to volume 10 while all the still grouped common room speakers are still on volume 6 or 7. Then I have to go open the app and fiddle with the volume to get them all equal again. Kind of a pain in the butt.

Sorry another Atmos plea for help.As per the title I have a Apple TV 4k (2nd gen), Arc (purchased 2021) and Samsung QE50Q60TAU, I’ve had this setup in place since the release of that Apple TV version. I’ve never had a problem with atmos when streaming, but in the last week or so, when I stream a show that has atmos audio I just get silence until I powercycle the TV and then the Arc picks up the format and I can watch the show. Swapping audio format (by going to the main menu) causes the problem with Atmos to happen again.So far I’ve tried:Turning everything off for 5 mins Updating TV firmware Unplugging the Arc HDMI and plugging it back in Perfoming a factory reset on the ArcI can confirm:The soundbar is plugged into the eArc port on the TV I’m using the HDMI cable supplied by Sonos Apple TV has Atmos enabled in settings Samsung is set to use eArc as the output format Samsung TV has Atmos enabled in settingsI’m out of ideas, can anyone recommend anything else I can try!?

My Arc, sub and both era 300’s are on surround sound and I can’t connect via Bluetooth I’ve followed Sonos instructions but still can’t connect. Any ideas please. Dennis Moderator edit: added Arc detail from user profile, and corrected Era 500 to Era 300

I was able to connect my Ray to my Projector through the HDMI ARC. Sounds great but my surround sound speakers (two SL’s) are extremely muted and have a little lag when I bit my ear up to it. They work if I’m playing music through Sonos but when I’m playing something from my projector they cut out. Not sure what to do :/ 

Hello Sonos Forum,I will no longer be using Samsung TV due to Audio Tech Issues, as in not being able to use my sonos system. I will be purchasing a Sony or LG television, they ate both 50 inches, both say ARC, my sonos beam 2 is an EARC model, will I have any sound issues ? SONY IS DOLBY DIGITAL ARCLG IS ARC ONLY
