Hiya Sonos

I'm trying to get 5.1 sound through my Playbar and 2x Play 1 speakers. I've just upgraded to a LG B4 OLED TV and it appears I don't have 5.1 anymore via my Foxtel box. I was sure I did previously.

Do I have to tinker with some settings in my Foxtel box? LG TV? Not sure where to go from here.

Thanks

The most likely culprit is your TV. There will be a Dolby 5.1 setting you will need to turn on for 5.1 audio. Also check your Foxtel box’s sound settings.

Your Playbar will just play what it fed into it. There aren’t really any settings that can be adjusted  on the Sonos app side.

(Your Foxtel box should be connected to the TV by HDMI cable. And your TV should be connected to the Playbar by optical cable.)

Thanks for the response @Rhonny.

Ran a quick test today, watching a movie via Amazon Prime and I think it's something to do with Foxtel iQ?

Watching the App via TV = 5.1

Watching the App via iQ Box = 2.0

Looked at the audio settings in iQ and there isn't much there tbh
