Hi everyone, I'm planning on setting up a sonos-based 5.1 home theater on my new home, but first of all it's like to understand if the projector I want to get does properly support Dolby Atmos, TrueHD, etc.The projector in question is the LG HU85LS (I think it's an Europe-branded version of the HU85LA).LG's website seems unclear on whether eARC is supported or not. Could someone help me decipher this table from the manual?Is eARC supported or not? What are the constraints? All I want to understand is if I can simply connect it to a Sonos Arc and have the best audio from streaming services and such.Thanks a bunch guys!

I just got my new Arc and Dolby Atmos sounds amazing, but I noticed that all other Dolby formats show up as “PCM 5.1” when using my Apple TV 4K.  Switching the formatting back to Dolby solves this issue, but means I’m having to constantly tinker with the Settings to get the right Dolby surround for the right movie/TV Show.  Has anyone else had this issue and is there a better solution?  Is Apple aware of this issue?  (Everything, including my Apple TV app on the Sony TV works flawlessly in switching formats, so this is an Apple TV 4K issue only.) 

Hi I have Sonos AMP, 2 wired sonos celing spicers, sonos soundbar Beam Gen2 and sonos sub Gen3. Can I link them and use as surround ? 

I am having intermittent connection issues with my Sonos Arc.  It has been connected to my LG CX for around 2 years now, and I had zero issues until around 1-2 months ago.  And it seems to be getting worse by the day.  The surround sound speakers and subwoofer keep disconnecting on their own.  And sometimes, even the Arc itself goes completely mute.  I check in the Sonos App and everything is still technically connected just fine.  So it’s not an App issue or me needing an Amp.  When I unplug the Arc and plug it back in, that usually works.  However, within an hour or so of watching tv it goes out again.  Can someone help me please?!  I imagine there is an issue with one of the latest software updates from the LG, Sonos, or AppleTV 4K.  However, I have no idea which item(s) is causing the issue.   This is extremely frustrating when I’ve paid over $5k to have a fantastic home entertainment experience!!!

Hello everyone,I picked up an HD Fury Arcana and decided to try out Dolby ATMOS with my Beam Gen2.  I’ve connected per instructions and recommended HD Fury cables (Apple TV out to Arcana in, Arcana eArc out to Beam Gen2).  When I view out ATMOS enabled content i.e. Avengers Endgame, Shang-Chi, Sonos S2 is showing airplay and ATMOS?!  In Apple TV settings, it is showing ATMOS available for audio output, so I am wondering if something is amiss here since there is a lot of discussion about airplay not transmitting ATMOS signal?  Appreciate any feedback on this, and to be honest I’m not clear why S2 is showing airplay at all given the wired connections.Thank you very much,Tim

Can you add the ceiling speakers to the ARC, Sub and 2x One SL's? Been all over YouTube and Google search, but can't find anything solid. Tried to get the Atmos effect to the fullest. 

Hello, I’ve had my arc and sub gen 2 and two play one sl for a while now probably at least a year and I’ve had the same arc issues as everyone else, but it’s been pretty much problem free for the past 6-8 months. But recently a few days ago my sound will just cut out while watching something, I’ll try to switch inputs and do other light troubleshooting to no avail and then the sound will come back on in like 10 minutes. It’s happened watching Hulu at first then watching Apple TV+. This is through an Apple TV 4K. Not the latest one but the one before that. But when the sound cuts out I can still play music through my system via the app. But I played the music and then stopped it and tried to play the tv and the app didn’t immediately switch back to showing tv as the input. I also have an lg cx and I tried to play content directly through the tvs os instead of the Apple TV and there was still no sound. It’s been happening about once a day lately. Any suggestions are appreciated

I bought a New Samsung TV and Sonos ARC Soundbar last week:  Samsung TV Model QE65Q95TATXXU Software Version : 1115.5 Connected Sonos Arc to the eARC port 3 on the TV and the Arc only delivers any sound when the eARC is switched off (no Sound on Automatic). The Sound output on the TV is only recognising the ARC as connected to HDMI when it should recognise it as connected to the eARC HDMI port. The Dolby ATMOS compatibility button makes no difference when on or off. Pass through setting makes no difference. Dolby Atmos (DD+) is recognised by the SONOS App when playing directly from Netfix App on TV, this means the TV and SONOS ARC are not talking to each other and not recognising the eARC signal (it should say DOLBY Atmos not DOLBY Atmos DD+). Checked all connections and have rebooted both TV and Soundbar with no success Not ideal when the TV and Sound Bar cost over £3500, I just want it to work and thats what should be delivered by SONOS. I have my Beam connected to my home entertainment center, which happens to be powered by a PC. It works great except that if the computer is silent for 10 minutes, Sonos switches off of TV input. Switching it back manually is frankly a PitA - I set it to TV input, and I want it to stay that way until I change it.I know many use the default “autoplay” setting so if TV sound is detected it switches to TV input, but that means anytime anyone messages me my music cuts out if I’m playing a song from the app or by voice. Plus there’s a delay while it switches back, which an obnoxious and leads to missed messages. Again, I had Sonos stream music, and I want it to stay that way until I change it.There were several requests some years ago about this (eg https://en.community.sonos.com/home-theater-228993/playbar-tv-source-timeout-6734339), but at the time the answer seemed to be just “it’s fixed to timeout to 10 minutes and you can’t change it.” Is there some reason we still can’t override this

We’ve got a Frame TV, so the whole idea is that the TV is more or less camouflaged on the wall by a frame and other artwork. The sound on the TV is fine, but I would love to be able to use the Five speaker in conjunction with the TV sound. Unfortunately the Five would require another sound bar first, as it doesn’t have enough connection options on the unit. Does anyone else have workarounds? Or also have this use-case where they’d like more ways to connect the Five?

I’ve been using SONOs products for the past year, and never had any problem with them playing music. However, I could never connect via Bluetooth to my Sony Bravia TV (2020, 65-inch - Model # KD-65KX75CH) so I bought an ARC this past month. I connected the HDMI directly into it, and … It wasn’t the miracle home theater experience I was looking for. PROBLEM:* The sound constantly cuts out every 30 seconds for a brief second (noticeable)* When turning audio up/down via my SONOs app or the remote control there’s also a blip in the soundREMEDY:* ?IS THIS:* A Google App/SONOs issue?* Do I have to play with my settings somehow? Thanks in advance for any suggestions or solutions.

Hi All,Hoping to get some support here as Sonos support has been highly disappointing. I have had a Sonos Arc and Sub Gen3 for 7 months and recently added a pair of One SL’s to make the system a compplete 5.1.2. There were no issues initially until last week and quite recently I have started to experience the below symptoms: Sub Gen 3 and Surrounds completely pair out and produce no sound Produce Lag when a track is played All speakers show Online in the app (Arc+Sub+LS+RS)  and I dont see “?” Problem is consistent across platforms when it happens » Playing TV, Apple Airplay, Netflix, YoutubeI have a basic Wifi setup with dual band wifi and mesh that has been there for 6+ months. Initially, I tried rebooting each device which resolved the issue temporarily until it occured again. I then resetted the whole system from scratch starting with Arc, Sub and surrounds each. I was wondering if anyone had a solution for a scratched top of a Sonos Playbase other than just living with it? Whether it be a cover, a special solution or even reaching out to Sonos to see if they’d sell a replacement shell. I’m less disappointed than I would have been when I first got it, but I haven’t quite progressed to just letting it go. Thanks in advance to anyone that answers. 

Hello, I’ve recently switched my TV to a LG OLED C1 77”.Coming to this from a samsung Q60 QLED on which Atmos and my Sonos home theater (Arc+Sub+2xOneSL) was working fine.After setting up the new TV to the wall I found out that atmos isn’t being passed to Arc even after enabling the different settings.Audio output: Pass Through (Also tried Auto) eArc support: Enabled (Also tried Dolby Digital +)Reproducing an Atmos enabled content from the Netflix native app, the Sonos app shows it’s playing Digital Plus 5.1 no matter what settings I try.Already tried plugging everything in and out and tried a few solutions from reddit such as turning eArc on, unplugging the arc and enabling when plugged back.Cause of the wall mount I can’t double check what HDMI port the Arc is plugged into but I’m pretty sure it was port 2 (even though all the ports on TV support 120hz and Earc) 

Hi There. I had some great support yesterday about setting up my LG C1 new TV with my Arc soundbar. Apple TV now plays Atmos content and my app shows that the Arc is receiving Dolby Atmos. So far so good.My problem now is that when trying to play a film, that I know has an Atmos soundtrack, from my Mac mini M1, using VLC ( tried various other programs also),  the soundtrack only comes through as Stereo PCM.I have set the TV for eArc support and Pass through. All help appreciated.Tony  

Current Sonos products in my living room listed below. Is this an optimal surround system system? From what I read, Sonos Ray is a step back in quality, so that is not an option. The Sonos Ray sounds perfect for my system. My question is this. I don’t use my TV remote but rather the Apple TV (4K 64 GB) Remote!  Is this going to work if the Sonos Ray is plugged into my TV an LG 27 UN850?

Couldn’t find the answer to this but was wondering if I could use the Sonos Arc with the Beam as the rear speaker for a home theater setup. Considering they can both do Atmos...was thinking it could be a nice setup. Thoughts?

Hi - I have the Sonos amp connected to two 3rd party ceiling speakers and my TV. Would the Sonos subwoofer be able to pair to the amp? Or would the speakers need to be Sonos too?cheers, nick

If this is true, I’m not sure what I think about it. I guess there is a market for lower-priced sound bars, and I’m sure the “Fury” would sound great in a small room. The article also mentions that it can be used as a surround speaker in its vertical orientation. Brand New LG 77” OLED TV (OLED77G2PUA)Brand New SONOS ARC SoundbarBrand New SONOS SUB Gen 3My problem (and solution) -After Soundbar installation, streaming services (Netflix, HBO, Disney, etc.) worked fine with soundbar. When I switched to HDMI 1 (COX Box) and select a TV channel on my Cox box, the TV screen would show the channel for a few seconds, then screen would go black for a few seconds, and repeat over and over.After much troubleshooting, I found the solution was to upgrade to the newest COX Contour 2 TV Box. It is a free upgrade for ppl with older boxes (my Cox Box was over 4 years old).   

Can Rat be used as a Center channel with Sonos amp?
