Hi, I just received my Roam and I am quite happy so far. But running on my first charge, I do have 2 ideas for features.Charging status: while I do understand that people would not like to have an LED burning all the time if the Roam sits on a charging pad the whole day, I would like to see a configuration option to at least display a “fully charged” status on the speaker for users, who don't want to charge that thing all the time. Yes I know, battery status is displayed in the Sonos app. But I would like to request an integration of that status with the voice assistants. I asked Alexa for battery status and she answered, she is unable to get that status from the system.
Has any on got a direct email or contact for Sonos as support and customer service is shocking
I recently received my Roam and I have a couple of items to bring up for v2 of the Roam. We have Sonos products in all our family homes, from Grandparents houses to Kids rooms, and love the quality, so this comes from our personal setup and first days with Roam:Came uncharged from manufacturer - Strange but ok. No charge me first sticker and perhaps I missed that note on setup via app. Charge - It is hard to know if the charge lasted more than 4hrs but that was how long we played music on first use from 100% at 75% volume. The device was dead the next day. How do you know how much battery is on device? Its not in quick setup or app and therefore you have to look in Sonos App and cant do it from speaker itself (kind of strange). Power Button - This is my biggest issue. The power button is very hard to depress and know when you are turning the Roam actually on and off. It feels...cheap to press, like on a $6.99 radio. Yes, there are the chimes and the tiny lights but I pressed
I pre-ordered Roam weeks ago then was emailed about 10 days ago that my card failed. I spent hours on the phone firstly with Sonos and then with my bank and their fraud department and established nothing was wrong with my card whatsoever there is more than enough money available and was told by the Sonos agent there had been ‘complaints with your site’ indicating a know problem- therefore last Thursday after another session on the phone you cancelled my original pre-order, placed a new order, ran my card whilst I was on the phone - it was authorised - I had the confirming email, and today I have an new email saying my payment is not authorised again. Clearly you are having problems, clearly they are not resolving. I’ve been buying your products for years and therefore a repeat customer and find this situation unbelievable. I can see other similar complaints but that Sonos have chosen to ‘close comments’ to the community posts they don’t like.
Bought it, drove the 1.5 miles home, plugged the usb cable into Roam and power source, fired up the app on iphone, added the Roam, updated the Road software, played music - works like a charm, no issues.Connected to Bluetooth on IPAD, connected, played a book from my IPad Library - again, no issues.Eveything working as advertised in about 12 minutes, including the drive home! Well done Sonos
I've various Sonos products spread out in 3 zones and subscribed YouTube music streaming service. Recently I replaced my wifi network with mesh zenwifi ax8. Since then i encountered many problems, such as intermittently fail to detect the devices, access to YouTube streaming service etc.Any advice on how to address this would be very much appreciated.
The criticism was about ridiculous full screen Radio HD ads on the Sonos app
Hello,so here I am asking Sonos to come up with an app for the Apple Watch. There are 3rd party apps out there but unfortunately they are rather unreliable. So, Sonos, please!! :)
Hi. My system sonos system in living-room is composed by Smart TV, a ONE SL, a Sub-woofer, and two Play 5. And next to the living room I have, outside, a pair of outdoor sonos speakers.I would like to know if Sonos AMP can help me in the performance of all of this and, very important, if the AMP connects by wi-fi or if it’s only by cable (through the bananas)?
I am a retired sound engineer, technical manager of several recording and post production studios. I began my professional life as an electronic engineer in a hifi company, and finished it as a network administrator and web designer.A friend of mine had the bad idea to offer to me his old sonos system, composed of a NAS, a bridge, a Play3 and a Play5.I had spend two days to connect them. TWO f… full days. I had never seen in my life such a stupid system, so badly designed, so badly explained and so many bugs in one single app. Nothing was working as expected. And I’m not alone to think this: just see the ratings of the Sonos1 app in ‘Play Store !!!And the sound quality: No comment :-(I'm on the verge of throwing it all in the one room where this whole mess will work properly: the trash can!Just for the record, I own a pair of Kef 50 Wireless. It took 10mn to set them and the sound quality is just day and night: How can somebody pretend a single enclosure like Play5 to be ‘stereo’ and
Can I connect a Sonos Amp to 1 pair of L/R and 1 single stereo ceiling speaker?
Is it possible to create 5.1 SS with Sonos Arc, 4 Polk in-ceiling speakers/sub already installed, and a Sonos Amp?
Hi, why such a small media image on the landscape view of the controller still? See attached. Wondering if there is an enhancement on the horizon to improve this? I would prefer this media image to be 25% of this screen. As it is, it adds very little to the display. Do you agree?
Hi Sonos community,I found this post about Sonos integration with Mycroft AI voice assistant (from 3 years ago), and I would like to let you know that I build a skill to let Mycroft AI integrates with Sonos speakers.I'm looking for testers to get feedback, the skills has been posted on Mycroft AI community forum for the same purpose. So far I tested the skill with different Sonos speakers such as:Play:1 Play:5 PlaybarAnd different music services such as:Spotify Deezer Music Library (not really a service but still working)The skill is based on SoCo Python library, and the code is open and available on GitHub.Thanks for your help
Is this 1980? What are the Sonos product engineers thinking? I am terribly disappointed with the lack of Bluetooth connectivity in Sonos Beam. Such an expensive product missing basic functionality! These days, even the $5 speakers come with a Bluetooth connection. I would not have purchased Sonos Beam had I know this. Buyer beware!
I have 3 Play 5 - Gen 2’s. I am considering buying and or upgrading to Sonos 5’s. The upgrade program is offering $75.00 for each speaker that I own. I payed $500.00 for each of my speakers. Why do these Sonos speakers depreciated so much? I would never sell my $500.00 (still in immaculate condition speakers) for $75.00. RegardsUpdate: I totally misunderstood the upgrade policy. I apologized for my misinformed post.Regards
What a lousy technical diagnosis to suggest a REPLACEMENT to a pod with which I have only two years Pay 5 Gen 2 just because its RESET does not work, if you have no way to guarantee physical technical follow-up, better not sell your products in Mexico City, to any Brand user who does not receive a reliable technical argument on their product is not appropriate for them t
If you want to watch your TV while still streaming your music (Ex. So you can your hear music while muting your TV to watch a basketball game or other event). Open your Sonos App Clicj “Browse”. It’s the music note next on the bottom tool bar in-between the Sonos Star Icon and the Rooms icon. Under browse you should see a drop down menu of your music libraries, (Sonos Radio, Napster, SiriusXM, Spotify, etc.). Then you should see a TV Icon and a Line In Icon. Tap the TV Icon. Now you will be given the choice to continue streaming your music. The message will say, “Your audio will mute the TV. Do you wish to continue?” If you choose “yes”, then the music will play, the tv will be muted, but the tv program will still play.
I want to write this as positivly as possible. Think of it as constructive criticism rather than just a negative rant. When I first bought some Sonos gear some time ago (website says it was registered in 2017 but I know I’ve had it longer). I was excited. It was a big purchase for me, it seemed geared a bit more for an audiophile than I actually am but I bought it because I wanted to have great sound throughout my house. Some of the tech set up was challenging - I had to get a NAS drive to store my music so it was always accessible. At the time that was another substantial cost I wasn't bargaining on. Eventaully I got my system working well and it served its purpose which was playing music, throughout the house on well made, good sounding spakers. But then...they started changing. My I pod dock was no longer supported, I had to replace my Bridge with a Boost. Updates for the app telling me half my system was being bricked. You all know that story. For all the changes Sonos has made - non
I’m new to the forum and can’t figure out how to navigate to the question I posted yesterday; but I’d like to add that the problem I’d encountered with the 800 error code and failure to update must have been an internal issue with the Sonos website as it self corrected this morning. Today I was able to successfully get my app to update and properly set up my boost. I would add that the Sonos2 app does not properly reflect the procedure for installing the boost.
I've read a lot about the S2 upgrade. I have old products and while I don't love the whole S1 , S2 compatibility issues with the hardware I'm here because of the oft repeated statement “ you can continue to use the S1 controller same as you always have”. This however doesn't seem to be the case. It seems that I can no longer use the Sticher podcast service unless I updrade to the S2 controller. Am I missing something here or are the poor S1 holdouts going to be squeezed out one service at a time? Jason
I use the Sonos Controller on MacBook Pro (Intel) and I like to add artists and song to the queue to play them then save them. It would be nice to save more playlists from the queue or save it locally (on my machine) but I keep getting there is not enough room. Then I remove an old playlist, but it still cannot save the playlist. Would be nice to add songs in a batch select to a playlist. Drag and Drop song to a playlist -- with multiple selections also.
when ? u used to have it , sonos are used for movies , movies take place in the dark , this should be a no brainer and so easy to implement.
So I didn't want to have to post on here but I feel it's my only choice as I'm ready for pulling me hair out. It's difficult enough dealing with a mental illness never mind having to keep calling customer support and emailing them to be fobbed off.All I want to do is get the items returned because they are no use for what I need. Despite letting Sonos know of my predicament plus not being able to get to a printer or leave the house I'm promised it will be dealt with. It's nearly 2 weeks now, i'm no further forward and this evening I just had an email asking me to print of labels and arrange a collection myself just a generic email. How difficult is it for this company to understand and do what they say to customers.I get the feeling they are being extremely difficult with me so I dont return the goods. I hope Somone from Sonos sees this and helps as I'm getting rather frustrated by this and for my health it's not best to be in this situation. I just want to return the goods and get my
Does Sonos display any message when playing a Hi-Res audio track (e.g. 192 kHz) similar to displaying ‘Dolby Atmos’ etc. I have just signed up to Qobuz and it would be useful to see such a message.
