If you hold down the button on the back of the Roam for 5 seconds until you hear a chime, it will power off the Roam completely to keep the battery charged. Just putting the Roam into sleep mode will allow the battery to continue to drain.

this is why sonos needs to add a complete power off/on feature with deep sleep mode when turning off with app but as usual sonos is more stubborn then bose !
