Ive two suggestions for product features. This is based on my experience of Arc Ultra / Era300 Surrounds.1 - Detach a Surround speaker temporarily - So into its own environment / room (so for example if having guests and need something in the kitchen occasionally). Then re-add and it rejoins in one click with previous settings (but possibly suggest a profile tune) 2- Quick EQ Presets - Where the surround levels/Bass/Treble/Vocal levels/Height Channels etc are all saved and you can switch. For example at night you may want night mode, less bass, more vocal. Day mode all up! A Sport event, maybe louder surrounds and height than a film. Both of these seem straightforward and massively overlooked. I get Sonos do multi room in relation to question 1, but its a bit overkill to purchase an extra speaker for occasional use. Likewise with the presets, its as if the kit gets tested but not real world as this seems very basic when factoring neighbours, listening environments, what gets watched e
Worst experience I have had ever. I spent just over $5000 for allmy speakers. They are no longer working. I can’t believe why or what person sold you on this idea. Obviously was not anyone that actually owns a SONOS Systemim in process of squirting a different set of speakers. You can bet your ASS it will not ne SONOS. .
I plead with Sonos engineers not to introduce any new features or products until you can bring back stability to the product. Please test it in real conditions with normal wifi coverage. I loved the product 15 years ago. I believed in it. Today, I mostly curse it.
I’ve enjoyed sonos products for some time now, and own more than a few. So imagine my surprise when, after requesting replacement feet for my sub mini (the adhesive failed) I was launched directly into the center of a customer support black hole. as much as I love being told I’m SOL on a product I spent a good deal of money on, I’m thinking there has to be a better way for sonos to treat its loyal customers. Anyone else had this experience?
As a fairly new SONOS user I have been looking to expand my coverage outside by the pool and have found that everywhere I want to put a speaker I also must extend my WiFi. I have a mesh but it is from China and I am worried that it is not secure. With the new CEO taking over someone might want to put this in his 👂. SONOS can create its own secure WiFi mesh inside the speakers. Two awesome features in one! Good Luck!
I have a nice setup HiFi system in my office (Schitt Audio Stack connected to some Marantz speakers). - connected to a small windows computer for driving Tidal/Qobuz. BUT sometimes I am doing audio throughout the whole house and I have Sonos amps and arcs everywhere else and want to play that in my office. Is there a way to use my computer as an “output” so I can join it in a Sonos group so I can listen in my office to what is on everywhere else?I can do it if I use Spotify directly and connect everything using Spotify...but that is just spotify...I would rather use the Sonos App and pass it through.
I keep getting emails offering Sonos products for sale. Sonos needs to stop until it can get its app back to where it was. I was an evangelist for Sonos for many years but since the app changed I can no longer support them. Nothing stays fixed, my Connect now doesn’t!This was a wonderful product completely ruined by a bad update to an app that Sonos appears unable to fix!
Dear Sonos, Please could a roadmap be shared on when consumers can expect to have just the basic in the app fixed. For the longest time the app has been largely unusable due to issues with the ability to shuffle music from YouTube Music playlists. The app selects only a handful of songs then fills the queue up to 33500 of these songs thus duplicating the song over and over and over. So you listen to the same handful of songs on continuous repeat. Support claim to be aware of the issue but have no timeframes to fix. Customers need to know if and when the app will be fixed, so they can decide to stick with the platform or flog it (if there are any willing buyers). Why develop new, great, hardware when this hardware is rended useless due to a buggy unusable app?Hoping too that 200 new developers will be hired to speed up the delivery of some really critical fixes required.Kind Regards, a previously loyal customer of almost a decade, with significant investment of hardware gathering dust.
The software is still not working, lest anyone think the problems have been solved. PLEASE fix it! I have 11 of your devices throughout my home, and have for about six years. I’d really like for them to work. I wish I’d just purchased an Apple system.
I am trying to purchase the set of ERA 300 speakers on the Sonos store but I keep getting a message there was an error trying to add to my cart. The site does NOT show these as Out of Stock. Anyone else having this issue? (Oddly convenient for them as I am trying to take advantage of the 20% off sale but unable to complete the purchase.)
If you tell me that ANY of the developers uses this garbage to play music from their own library then you are a liar.It is actually impressively bad. Browsing by Artist is completely pointless, half the items are “Unable to load content.”, most of my favorited albums don’t work and all in all the site is pure garbage. With the fact that privacy minded people don’t want this s*** exposed online and you don’t even let people disable it is unbelievable. Please open up the APIs and just let third party developers create apps and services for this. You cannot do this by yourself, you have proven as much these past TWO YEARS of s*** apps and services. Moderator Note: Modified in accordance with the Community Code of Conduct.
Dear Sonos Team,As a devoted user of your products, I want to express both my admiration for the groundbreaking work you’ve done in audio technology and my growing frustration with the challenges your closed ecosystem has created. Recent months have brought these frustrations to a boiling point, as nearly every review on app stores, forums, and social media is filled with complaints about the Sonos experience. It’s heartbreaking to see such a beloved brand risk alienating its most loyal customers. The Frustration Is Real and GrowingThe issues with the app update earlier this year are a glaring example of what happens when users are locked into a system they can’t control. Missing features, bugs, and a lack of transparency left many of us in the dark, relying solely on Sonos to fix problems that persisted for months. In the meantime, your community—your greatest advocates—has been venting its frustration everywhere, from the app store to your forums.Search “Sonos app review,” and you’ll
The Sonos app has to be the worlds worse app! It drives me crazy to the point where I want to give up and sell my whole system! It’s so unbelievably slow, glitches, can’t connect speakers etc. please re-do the app asap!
Today, February 5th 2025 you were told that you and upwards to 200 of your colleagues will be let go. I know first-hand how such an announcement can affect your well-being, work ethic, future plans and family. Your acting CEO has given the reason for such a move as an effort to transform Sonos into a company that is flatter, smaller and with more focused teams. The hope is that having a simpler organization in place, cross-functional project teams will come together to improve the core experience and deliver new products. I must also assume the encompassing goal is to regain customer trust and strengthen the Sonos brand. As a loyal Sonos customer since 2015, I’m 100% in favor of seeing Sonos continue to flourish. However, the most important reason to write this is to say…Thanks to you and your colleagues as you depart the ranks of Sonos. Your contributions to the Sonos experience; in whatever shape or form, has afforded me tremendous satisfaction with my Sonos system. I know I express
Congratulations on all the progress made to resolve the issues associated with the new app. As you now can look forward, thought this might be a good time to offer a couple of suggestions for enhancing the system. 1.) Can you look at increasing the capacity of what can be housed in a Music Library, such as I Tunes? I don’t believe it has been increased from inception (?) and I would think customer libraries have grown over the years. 2.) The ability of the Amazon Music service to display all the library information remains incomplete. There is a work around, but it would be welcome if Amazon could partner with you to look at this and apply a more lasting fix now that the your app issues are mostly addressed and Amazon is out of its Holiday crush. Thanks for your consideration.
I have a Sonos Arc and Sub in my living room that’s primarily delegated to TV use, but occasionally I’ll AirPlay audio. The AirPlay volume defaults to the last volume setting from the TV, which is too low, so I crank the volume. Later when I return to TV the volume is way too loud for the TV and blasts the whole house without warning. It would be great if the Arc could remember separate volume setting for the HDMI input vs AirPlay and recall them when the relevant input is active.
More false promises from sonos, playlist editing was originally scheduled to be re-implemented back in November I believe and yet here we are in February and seemingly no closer to getting basic functionality in the app. Is there an update when this will actually happen?
As a loyal customer and shareholder of 15+ years who went through the whole S2 upgrade it’s highly disingenuous of Sonos to then basically make the upgrade codes irrelevant to discounted products. A very frustrated customer!
I purchased a Reburb Sonos Arc back in November during black friday. Received the unit first week of December and immediately had issues with setting it up. Called tech support twice to go through the steps in resetting the unit but nothing worked. I was offered a replacement unit and was provided with a RO# on December 11. I still have not been able to get a shipping label from them. Called in at least 5 times to support and everytime I was advised that the case was escalated to another team and would hear back 24-48 hours later. It is January 6th and a return shipping label has still yet to be sent to me. Unbelievable. I’ve completely lost confidence in the brand and the service team at this point. I no longer want the unit and requested for a refund of my money and was told I need to speak to a customer rep instead. Waiting another 24-48 hours to hear back for my “escalated” case...
For those of you that now have speakers for doorstops. Here’s a link for the class action suit https://sauderschelkopf.com/investigations/sonos-may-2024-app-update-debacle-class-action-lawsuit-investigation/?utm_source=chatgpt.com
If I didn’t own any Sonos product and was interested in possibly purchasing some … no way would I consider Sonos after reading about all the issues that are posted here.. it’s just continues. Absolutely astonishing the issues people have.
After latest update I’ve lost a play 5 which will not reconnect after multiple factory resets etc. etc. So I'm now using it as an outdoor door-stop, which actually works well due to its weight.Over the last 5 years I have never had the system fully working. Is it time that Sonos admitted that the whole thing was and is a complete failure?
It’s been over a year and their crappy app still doesn’t work properly. Additionally, the Sonos Ace auto-off feature only works if you disconnect the Bluetooth device, which renders the feature pointless. Is it really auto-off if you have to manually turn off Bluetooth?I think I won’t be buying nor recommending any more Sonos products. At least not until they get their stuff together.
this is ridiculous!I’m 63 years old and I’ve already spent way way way too much time trying to figure out how to play a song my wife wrote for me for my birthday. I spent all this money to play my music and again I’m spending way too much time trying to figure out how to f**** do it! The only way I’m finding is to use a DIFFERENT app or I can only listen to it on the Bluetooth side of my Move??? UNACCEPTABLE and yes, I’m pissed. After many attempts to update the latest software mid January. I have noticed to difference to the operation of the new app. It seems more problematic now as I am unable to separate grouped speakers. When playing through Spotify it can take 5 - 10 minutes on a good day for music to start and skipping songs on a playlist is hit and miss ?I'm sure you have heard this before, "If its not broke don't fix it".
