I am, well, I was a Sonos loyal customer. Despite the awful new App released, I still defended and stayed with the brand as I loved the sound, look, build and quality of its products. I had various Sonos Products and currently still have a Bean 2 system, with 2 play1 as surround. I also have another 2 play1 and decided to buy an Arc, to use in my main living room, pair it with play1’s and then, hopefully at Christmas add a sub mini to the system. I went with the Arc, as I thought I was going to be a step up from the Beam I have in the other room, despite the bad reviews online talking about microphone problems. After all these reviews were more a year old and thought Sonos would have recalled and solved the common issue… well, no. Arc arrived. I was really happy. Set it up, added the surround. Played really nicely, happy with the sound. After just a couple of hours in the house, tried to call Alexa to switch lights on, no answer. Microphone was off. Kept going off, every few hours. Con
When i try to add the musiclibrary it starts scanning. After scanning is complete the musiclibrary is not showing.
Still running the old firmware and the old sonos app, for my port and play3. Luckily I have android, so I could reinstall the old app back :-) Still a very happy sonos custumer. But will have to move away eventually, because it's obvious the new app will stay crap. When I can't run the app on my phone anymore, I have no choice.Home Assistant works too, but it's not great either, for what I want.
Recently took delivery of a Sonos ray which fails to connect. Contacted sonos support who said it needs to be replaced. This was on the 6th December. Have heard nothing further ?
Starting lthis week, I have been unable to connect to my local CBC radio channels. Is there a fix? Sometimes the channels show up on the channel list but do not connect. Other times they do not show up at all.
My neighbours were looking to buy a new speaker system for their home. They came over the other night and I showed them my Sonos system. At first the app wouldn’t launch on my mobile. I deleted it and reinstalled. It found the system. We listened to some tracks and they liked the sound, but then it started dropping and we couldn't regain control of the music through the app. They bought a different system. I’m stuck with this one. Is it ever going to work properly again?
Projector in small basement room. wanting to invest in soundbar (either arc or beam gen2). there's no way to put the sound bar below the projector screen as its up most of the time. Can I mount the soundbar to the ceiling above the mounted screen? would this distort the sound? have it the wrong direction or can I mount it to ceiling with pivots to slightly adjust toward the viewer. Thank you for you help and any guidance.
Hi community,After investigating my setup in other threads I still have some questions to get my Pro-ject turntables to work with my Sonos set…I currently have an Arc connected with 2 Sonos One as surround. My turntable is close to the Arc. I know none of these Sonos products has a compatible connector, but when I even try to use a connector AV to HDMI and connect the turntable (with a pre amp included, model T1 Evo Phono), it doesn’t work. Apart from the connector itself, is the Arc unable to retrieve and carry that signal for compatibility reasons?I thought about changing one or both of the One for Era 100 but I read somewhere that the Line In cannot be used if the actual setup is surround with the Arc, is that right? Does that mean the only option here is to buy a Port? For that price, I’d review my entire setup as it costs more than the turntable…Thank you!
The Sonos Aarc Ultra all of a sudden shows up as 3 speakers and 1 works fine but 2 cannot be added. How can I remove the ghost Arc Ultra from the system?
When I play a YouTube playlist with more than 250 entries, the app adds the playlist’s tracks to the Sonos queue approximately 80 times. Can someone please investigate and fix the bug.
I lost connection to the Beam 2 via WiFi.Did a reset the whole Beam already, did new setup, connected to the wifi, but it looses it directly. Also took it off from the power many times. Still not found in the app. I do see the Beam in my Unifi config. I restarted the Unifi DreamMachine (router) to avoid other problems and to get rid of Any suggestions?
What happened to SonosTube? It no longer works and is no longer in Google Play. Is there another way/app to play YouTube video music (Not YouTube Music) through Sonos?
I would have added my comment to an already existing question, but that topic has been closed and the matter has still not been fixed. As a professional video games programmer I will try to be as objective as I can without it sounding as though I’ve just spent £3500 on a complete pile of rubbish. If SONOS spent half as much effort on fixing the numerous bugs in their software as they do on advertising their products their customers would be much happier.Sonos support are aware of these bugs and are nearly as exasperated as the customers. The only solution to this problem is to get a statement from the CEO who should be fully aware of these software bugs (if he/she isn’t the they should be sacked) and what they intend to do about them. Who is on the programming team? Why hasn’t this been addressed? Do they have a producer, and why haven’t they been fired? Your customers need to be reassured and this need to come from the top - Now.Having every customer hating your guts is not a good look
It seems these forums are littered with SONOS app complaints and issues around similar topics to this. The (older orange) Windows app worked fine setting up and detecting my Music Library at //mybooklive/public/shared music. I could also work in fine using the Web app.The (newer black) iOS app however has been an absolute headache. First, when I tried //mybooklive/public/shared music, it just wouldn’t recognise the pathway… so I replaced the space with an underscore _ and now it is recognising it. However, it comes and goes regularly. This morning, it’s still there, but despite this I cannot find and use the Music Library. The app is recognising the pathway, but not displaying any music from it on my iPad or iPhone. The windows app and the web app still both work fine. What gives? What happened to SONOS? A basic requirement so fundamentally broken 😠
Hi,I have a Sonos Beam Gen 2 and all works fine with my TV via HDMI.I also have an old Karaoke system (Debra Pro X7 - https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0B6C6LHN8/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1), which has optical inputs/outputs and works fine with my old soundbar. However, I cannot get it to work with the Sonos.TV HDMI to Sonos HDMI - OKTV Optical to Sonos HDMI (via Sonos Optical/HDMI adaptor) - OKTV Optical to Karaoke Optical to Sonos HDMI (via Sonos Optical/HDMI adaptor) - NO AUDIOTV Optical to Karaoke Optical to Denon Soundbox Optical - OKThere is obviously an incompatibility between Sonos and the Karaoke box but what could it be?The Karaoke box instructions does state the following "For different versions of optical fiber interfaces, some compatibility issues may occur. Resulting in no sound being output. This is due to the incompatibility of the optical interface version of the speaker.".As far as I am aware the optical is PCM in all cases so why won't it wo
HelloPreviously had a Panasonic TV + Beam (surrounds and sub) + Apple TV. Getting 5.1 no issues.New Samsung OLED and Apple TV will not output anything other than Stereo PCM.Firestick and Built in Apps showing 5.1 so it’s specific to Apple TV.Rebooted everything, reseated HDMI cable to everything. Done new TV setup on Sonos App.Not really sure where to go next? Tried forcing 5.1 on Apple TV but I then get dialogue out of the surrounds!
Hi all!ordered a new Arc Ultra 10 days ago from Sonos Europe. Even paid for faster shipping (2 working days). Still today I haven’t got it yet. Apparently, DHL service has some serious delays. I sold my Playbar and been stuck with my Tv’s speaker for too long :-(Also, will I be able to play atmos music on my Arc Ultra. It has nothing to do with the fact my TV is non eArc, right? One final thing. Many claim Playbar was/is better for stereo music than both of the Arcs. Your thoughts? Can’t wait for my new speaker.Neven
I was signed in as the system owner, why do I have to sign out and then in again as the system owner only to get a message of something went wrong try later. It has been months with this issue and there is no fix. Ready to throw the whole system out the window.
Hi, My Setup:TV: LG OLED C4 65 inchSoundbar: Sonos Beam Gen 2Rear speakers: Sonos One SL x 2 I have read all threads here in this forum related to the same problem but are unable to show Dolby Atmos in the Sonos App. I tried below that was suggested in another thread by GuitarSuperstar, but was unable to change everything but the first setting since that is greyed out. HDMI Input Audio Format: Bitstream - this is greyed out on my TV and unable to changeDigital Sound Output: Pass ThrougheARC Support: OnThen play the film The Tomorrow War from the TV’s native Prime Video app and tell us what audio format is displayed on the Now Playing screen in the Sonos app. - I tried with the Lord of the rings series season one episode 1 (which says should be Dolby Atmos) Before changing the above the Sonos app said: Dolby Multichannel PCM 5.1After changing the above the Sonos app now said: Dolby Digital Plus 5.1 I am streming through the built in Prime app in LG TV webos. I can't even play songs or control volume with it as well as any integration with Alexa or Google Assistant. The developers and especially the managers/c-suite execs should all be ashamed of themselves for rolling out this crap.
Hi all, as the topic says, I’m considering purchasing a new soundbar. I have a current model fire TV, made by Toshiba, that does support E-arc. I also have a PC and a mac, that right now are connected to HDMI two and three, respectively, on the TV. I want to be able to use one or both devices, without turning on the TV, if I don’t need to. I am completely blind, so have no need to have a monitor on at all times. I am considering the Beam Gen 2. Will this device allow me to send audio to my PC or mac, without having to first turn on the TV? Should I consider an Arc for this? My main application for this bar is music playback, with some movies here and there. Thanks much for your help and advice. Guy
How do I get my whole house Sonos operational
Wondering if I can change the volume of my wired speakers that are in a surround sound configuration with my Arc soundbar through the amp. I don’t see where I can independently change the volume of my rear wired speakers?
Burned component on Sonos Amp bottom PCBMy Sonos Amp just died. Its totally unresponsive, there is not even any light in the LED. Tried calling Sonos support and they basically just said “Sorry, its out of warrenty. It can’t be repaired. We can give you a discount on a new Amp”. Well, sorry - with that attitude I am not exaclty inclined to send any more of my money to Sonos.Given that the unit is a write-off I decided to take it apart. Looks like there is a burned resistor on the bottom PCB. However, this resistor have properly been killed off by some othet fauilty component.I seldom ply music on this Amp so it quite strange that it died.Anyone have any idea how to get it fixed?
I use Sonos daily. Ever since they upgraded the app from Gould to Black, there are serious connectivity issues. I have powerful Internet throughout my entire place, which is not very large and ever since the upgrade, so many things have happened. 1. Sonos app doesn’t find my system, even though it finds my network. 2. I use an extra iOS device to be the remote control for Sonos as well as my phone. Sonos will no longer allow my extra iOS device to even populate the Sonos app even after I’ve deleted it and reinstalled it. It just shuts down every time I try to open it. 3 I purchased the Sonos Rome, it comes with simply a cable, no power adaptive plug that is USB-C to charge it. Guess what, they don’t even sell the USB-C power plug even though I received a message from Sonos asking me to purchase one. I received a message on my Sonos app advising me to use a power adapter so that I may efficiently charge my set of Sonos Roam speakers, it populated a photograph of the power plug showing o
