Problem getting Dolby Atmos on my Sonos Beam Gen 2 from LG C4 TV

Amazon Prime only has Atmos if you are paying the extra for no ads.  See this link:

I am located in Sweden and when reading it seems that Swedish Prime only offers no-ads. At least I am unable to see any other info, or maybe I am wrong. It says:

Could this still be the problem, that they do not offer Dolby Atmos even when paying the normal fee in Sweden?

If the content mirrors the US, I would guess Atmos requires an ad free subscription.  But that would be a question for Amazon Sweden. 

Confirmed now with Amazon that I have the correct subscription that would allow Dolby Atmos.

Is the problem that below is greyed out and why is that and how can i fix it not to be greyed out?

The HDMI Input Audio Format setting only applies to external media devices. Since you are only using the TV’s native apps, you can ignore this setting.

When you start a movie on Prime Video, do you see any ads or does the movie start immediately?

No ads showing. The film starts immediately. Also tried with the tomorrow war same result only DD+ 5.1
 

Think I have looked at all settings also in the Sonos app and they should be correct. 

Are you playing the ORIGINAL language audio track?

Yes. The english normal version. 

Do you use any other streaming apps?

No not with dolby atmos support. Have Netflix and Max but only standard subscription without atmos. 

Try unplugging your TV and Beam from power for  about a minute and test The Tomorrow War again.

Sorry to hear of this issue you are having with playing Atmos on your Beam Gen 2.

In order to play Atmos, the following must be true:

1. The source content must be in Atmos
2. The source device must support Atmos
3. The TV must support Atmos
4. The Audio device must support Atmos
5. The settings on everything that has settings must be correct (including apps)

Points 2, 3, and 4 are clearly true - your TV has eARC enabled, and it is also the source device. You also have Passthrough enabled, so point 5 is good - for the TV, at least.

But, if the streaming service is advertising a particular movie to be in Atmos, it certainly should be - assuming the correct tier of service, which you have already checked.

I am not sure what settings the app on your TV might have, but I definitely recommend checking them.

Assuming the 5 points above are all true, we can only now assume that something somewhere is not as it should be and we now need to start trying things that should not help, but might. 

My first idea is to disable eARC on the TV’s settings - it’s on that screenshot that you posted. Although eARC is needed to play Atmos from a Blu-ray, it is not needed to play Atmos from a streaming service, as they will all use Dolby Digital + (Atmos). Note that Atmos is still displayed in the Sonos app when playing this, and that not all Dolby Digital + is Atmos. Please try turning the eARC option on the TV off, then play the content, and let me know how you get on.
