My son bar has been paired with my sub outwith the sonos app for two years. Now it does not work. Why does sonos punish the older systems. I had binned my sonos threes and ones as they were too difficult to use. The sub and the sound bar worked but now nothing on the sub. Two years without the sonos app now I'm punished by sonos agsin for not purchasing new equipment. A sad sad company
Hi can anyone help I’m struggling to connect my Sonos play 5 to my new router (wireless) . I can connect through Ethernet but than can’t move my speaker around the house ? Many thanks
Hi everyone,I’m interested to set up a basic wireless speaker system in a small apartment—mainly for podcasts. I’ve heard about Sonos and I’m curious what a good starting setup might look like for a smaller space.Would one or two speakers be enough to get a rich sound? Are there specific models that work better in tight rooms or near walls? I’m also wondering how well they integrate with streaming apps and voice assistants.Would love to hear your recommendations or lessons learned from your own setups! Thanks!
Hi Team,I am facing random connection drop issues between Sonos app on iPhone and the speaker system. Here is the situation. Everything was working as expected for the past three years but since almost a week, Sonos app on my iPhone dies with the error - No Sonos system found. Opening play.sonos.com on a computer also shows the same error. Randomly after closing the app and relaunching it for a few times, the system shows up again. But it is mostly hit and try.Have been using Sonos Arc + Siub Gen 3 + Sonos Roam for the past 3+ years without any issue. Nothing has changed in terms of SSID, router, placement of the system etc. Sonos Arc, Sonos Sub Gen 3, Sonos Roam are all connected to the router (wirelessly), and the internet is working. All systems are up and running as expected. All Sonos devices are working as expected. The iPhone with Sonos app (and computer with play.sonos.com open) is on the same network as the Sonos devices. Airplay on iPhone shows Sonos system as an option. Ran
As the following topic is closed, I’m reopening it here In February 27, 2025, this lady asked Panos Panay (VP of Amazon’s Devices & Services department), about it and he answered: Will Alexa+ come to my Sonos? That is the plan. That is the plan. I mean, Sonos is in a little bit of a transition of course, but yeah, they're a great partner of ours.
Sonos speakers no longer play when I use Spotify. Keep getting “no content” messages for both BedRoom and LivingRoom speakers. Completely frustrated with Sonos since the day I bought these.
I’m seeing many callouts amplitude.com, some appear to be persistent. I sometimes operate on a network that won’t permit that. This appears to sometimes break Sonos. I see no reason for this to be happening, however.Anyone else seeing this? There are other callouts it’s making to adnxs.com, branch.io, google-analytics.com (there may be others). These don’t always succeed, either and that should not interfere with the functionality of the system configuration.I have seen where my speaker configurations get wiped when Sonos app can’t succeed in certain API callouts, for example.Looks like there needs to be some code improvement.
Hi All, I have a return from the uk being processed. At the Sonos have sent me a UPS label etc but have not given me the customs forms that need to be provided. any ideas where I get them from? many thanks
I am setting up a new system with SONOS ARC Ultra, Woof Gen 4 and have purchased the SONOS ERA 100 surround speakers. Is it advisable to upgrade the ERA 100 to ERA 300? Will I see a significant difference in my home theater experience?
I highly doubt the issue reported in has been resolved from a technical implementation. If it has been great.Today my housemate encountered another unexpected behavior. Their Apple Music account needed reauthorized. They clicked the right places and provided Apple password. The screen said the password was wrong, even though they were sure they used the correct one. The cancelled the re-authorization process. At this point their Apple Music account had in fact been reauthorized for use on Sonos (as evidenced by being able to browse their content from Apple Music within the Sonos app). But, the Sonos system had replaced their previously input account nickname with the First and Last name on their Apple Account. Clearly this isn’t intended or wanted behavior-- users don’t like to fuddle with things just to have them undone by some broken software workflow. We set the nickname again, but this doesn’t have to stay broken.
I recently ran an update on my Mac OS to Sonoma v14.7.6Some of the button functionality changed on my Ace headphones. The side button no longer starts and stops my music and instead calls Siri, same behavior whether I short or long press.I tested my headphones on my phone and everything works the same as it always has, so this seems to be an issue only on my desktop OS, not the headphones themselves.I ran a firmware update from the app on my phone. This started causing even more strange behavior with noise cancellation not entirely canceling the noise, so I ended up trying a factory reset. That also went sideways because I could never get a blinking light to indicate they were reset. However after many attempts, my phone recognized them as a new device, so something happened. After a lot of resetting, re-pairing, rebooting, and changing settings, I finally got the noise cancellation to work properly on my Mac OS. It required disabling the new “sidetone” and “adaptive “cancellation” feat
Is there a fix for fragmented albums. I am re ripping all my cds and compilation albums are showing an album for each artist and I cannot select the whole album
I got my system work really well, I have one Arc Ultra, a Sub gen 4, and two Sonos Five. Everything are connected to the Arc Ultra and the Arc Ultra connected to the TV via HDMI earc. And now I got the karaoke machine and microphone to be added to the system. The problem is that the mic and the karaoke machine are two different input. How do you guys suggest to set it up?One, to connect HDMI out from karaoke machine to TV, and Microphone out to TV and then earc to Arc Ultra (idk will it work). Two, to connect HDMI out from karaoke machine to TV as Video inp, RCA from karaoke machine to separate mixer, Microphone out to the mixer, and mixer output to audio in to tv. Which one will work better? or do you have any other suggestion? thanks
For those of you who have tried to get Alexa working on one, or especially multiple Sonos devices, here’s a cheat sheet of things to know.DocumentationSonos still has the Alexa Voice Assistant in Beta. The documentation for the Sonos Skill on Amazon.com is sparse and out of date, and the rating is 1 star.https://www.amazon.com/Sonos-Inc/dp/B072ML3N6K The guide to setting up Alexa on the Sonos app covers only the best case, and does not include how to handle situations like a power fail, factory resetting, multiple systems, room naming, etc etc. They’ve also followed the bad habit Google created by making you follow many links within a support guide to get complete knowledge, and have to unwind your reading each time: https://support.sonos.com/en-us/article/set-up-amazon-alexa-with-a-voice-enabled-sonos-speakerTermsSonos terms: system, speaker or component or product, room, service, voice assistant, “ownership”, groupAlexa terms: device, skill, app, account, group Sonos terms:speaker/
Who the **** is in charge at Sonos and have they even passed any qualifications to be in charge. Ohwhere to begin after update left speaker playing what seems like the left hand side of the band right speaker full pelt bells and whistles …sounds great however both speakers playing out of sync by 20 seconds wtf…….note to Sonos please get an add on something physical and stop pissing us about Moderator Note: Modified in accordance with the Community Code of Conduct.
Dear Sonos Team, I’m a long-time Sonos user and a great admirer of your ecosystem. I’d like to propose a product idea that could expand your user base and offer a seamless upgrade path for home audio enthusiasts: A compact Sonos HDMI stick—similar in size and concept to streaming sticks like the Chromecast or Fire TV Stick—that plugs into the HDMI (or ARC/eARC) port of an AV receiver or TV and effectively turns that system into a Sonos zone. Key features could include: HDMI (Full/ARC/eARC) input for integration with AV receivers or TVs Audio streaming from the Sonos app, including multi-room playback Support for AirPlay 2 Grouping with existing Sonos speakers Lossless/HiRes Audio Support as per HDMI spec Such a device would be a game-changer for people who already own high-quality audio systems and want to integrate them easily into the Sonos ecosystem without purchasing a full Sonos Amp or Port. Thank you for considering this suggestion. I believe this would be a welcome add
I currently have a Playbar, 2 Play ones as rear Speakers and a Sub Woofer. I want Dolby Atmos and am considering replacing the Playbar with Beam Gen 2. Has anyone done this and what was their experience good or bad?
Continue to receive this error. It has worked > 1 yr until 2 days ago. Thanks
I’m asking for help with a karaoke setup connected with HDMI to my TV that has a playbar, sub and two play 300’s. Will it output though the Sonos system or just the lyrics on screen? I do not use an amp.
I have Era 100 speakers installed in my home. I also have a turntable with its built-in simple amplifier. I want to know what equipment I should purchase so the turntable can play through my Era 100 speakers, and I also want to listen to my TV through the same speakers. I understand I should buy an amplifier and a sound bar, and I could achieve what I want, but I'd like to be sure.
I have a network with 3 devices. Sonos 5, Play3 and Move 2.My summer house is just out of range of wifi so I bought the Move 2 to try to act as a repeater for my wifi after being told it can setup a Sonosnet that is dedicated to Sonos network.I have hard wired my Sonos 5 which is very close to the router. But my Move 2 does seem to be connected to the SonosNet.I can check my status using:http://192.168.0.27:1400/support/review My Sonos 5 shows its in Sonosnet mode:WifiMode 0 WifiModeString SONOSNET_MODE IdleState 0x00000000 BusyClients AUDIO_OUT, LOCAL_SONOSNET, NO_PRIMARY But my Move 2 shows:Wireless Info WifiMode 1 WifiModeString STATION_MODE IdleState 0x00000000 BusyClients AUDIO_OUT, NO_SONOSNET_PEERS, NO_PRIMARY Its not unlikely the router is the stronger connection between this and my Sonos 5 as they are pretty much in the same place. Is there a way I can force my Move 2 onto the SonosNet so it can bridge between my Sonos 5 and the out of reach Play 3.
sonos Android app 80.23.9sonos OS 85-0-65270Android 14 Kernal 5.10.218There is a repeatable bug in the android app where it can delete the wrong entries when you are editing a playlist. I have a playlist with 10 or so albums, open the playlist to edit delete two entries at the beginning then scroll down and delete, lets call it the 40th entry press done Review the result and you will find that entries 1 and 2 have gone BUT entry 40 is still present and entry 42 has been deleted instead. I repeated this test 5 times and it happened every time What changes things is if you hit DONE on EVERY screen you have deleted something and you don’t scroll down to edit other entries first then it appears to delete the correct entries. Such mistakes are easy to miss unless you are very careful in reviewing your changes and you are looking out for it which is why I suspect so few have reported a problem. (BTW I noticed this behaviour in prior versions of the APP and reported it) The IPAD OS versio
In our family room I have an Arc Ultra. 2 x 300s, and a gen2 Sub. Originally it was an Arc and the Sub was great. Since updating to the Arc Ultra the Sub is really not doing much. I have read this should have been fixed but I have ran all updates and can confirm this has not been resolved. I imagine this has to do with a crossover the Arc Ultra is managing what low frequencies to send to the Sub. If feels like the Sub isn’t getting it’s part of the mix. I can gain up the sub +10 in the app and it is almost unnoticeable.
Enhance Your Sonos Home Theater: More Era 300s for Even Deeper Surround Sound!Hey Sonos enthusiasts!Like many of you, I absolutely love my Sonos home theater setup with the Arc, Sub, and the two Era 300s as surrounds. It sounds fantastic, but there's always room to push the boundaries, right? My idea is simple: We need the option to add more than just two Era 300s to our home theater setup!Imagine this: instead of only two rear surrounds, we could have four (or even more!) Era 300s for a truly mind-blowing Dolby Atmos experience. Think about having dedicated side and rear channels, creating a much more complete and enveloping sound bubble for movies and shows. Why This Is a Win-Win Idea: * For us, the users: This would mean unprecedented cinematic immersion. The sound would truly wrap around you, pulling you deeper into the action. * For Sonos: A massive boost in Era 300 sales! Many of us would be thrilled to buy an additional pair if this were possible. More units sold without needing t
Still missing the functionality of the widget after the app update awhile back. Is this ever coming back to the app? It was great to have an entire page on my phone to manage my music throughout my entire home at a glance.
