I’m running MacOS 26.6.1_Apple Silicon_MacMini M4Today I had issues loading the Sonos MacOS App. The solution this time was System Settings > Privacy & Security > Local Network > Sonos permission off/on.Typically one or more of the below works:System Settings > Network > Firewall > Options > Sonos > Allow incoming connections off/on System Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services off/on System Settings > Privacy & Security > App Management > off/onSo now it seems there is a fourth option in the mix. At least until MacOS 27.X 😂Enjoy your Sonos!
It seems Amazon Music, my preferred service is missing from the search tool.
I’m well aware the issues of the floating ground in the ZP80 and my setup has been a little fragile but good enough in that regard. However, For my ZP80 zones I had to get new power amps (long story) and they are unusable. Cyrus Stereo 200s so very decent kit, replacing a variety of Tag, XTZ & audiolab.Using ZP100 as a pre-amp only they work fine. I know it’s ground loops. I’ve tried connecting mains ground to RCA outer on the ZP80, no effect. I tried same to chassis plate under the ZP80, no effect. I tried ZP80 RCA outer to Cyrus chassis, no effect.I’m reluctant to try RCA ground loop isolators - cheap, yes, but theory says they will degrade the sound making a monkey of my expensive amps! However, has anyone any experience can feedback?Aside from that my solutions seem to be to use an external DAC with optical input or buy a couple of used ZP100s in pre-amp mode that I know will work. No point switching to WiiM because they will have similar issues.Any thoughts?
MacOS and ios, the incorrect channel data is displaying. One example, playing 1st Wave, Springsteen Radio info is shown. This is happening on all channels. This seems to have started a couple of days ago. I have uninstalled and re-added the Sirius service. ios and MacOS apps are both up to date. Any other suggestions?
Hello, In a future app update, it would be great to include a shortcut—or the ability to create one—to the TV system's surround audio menu for setups using a soundbar and rear speakers. This would make it easier to manually adjust home cinema audio levels without having to navigate through Settings > Room > Surround Audio > TV Level. Thank you.
I have an open concept house. I use a home theatre system with the arc under the TV and two rear speakers (both era 100) and I have the sub to go with it in the front. My wife complains when she is cooking in the kitchen she likes to watch the news but all of the speakers are located in front of that area. I wanted to add one more speaker that will play all of the sound in the kitchen (not just back ground noises like my eras do) what do you all recommend?
When multiple rooms are grouped, the Group Volume control currently changes the individual room volumes in a way that alters the balance between rooms. For example:Living Room: 100% Kitchen: 80%The Kitchen is intentionally set to play at 80% of the Living Room volume. If I increase or decrease the Group Volume, I expect Sonos to scale both rooms proportionally so that the relative balance is maintained. Instead, Sonos recalculates the individual room volumes, which changes the listening balance and requires manual correction every time. This is especially noticeable in open-plan homes where multiple rooms are grouped permanently and each room has its own preferred volume level.Suggested improvementPlease add an optional setting:“Preserve Relative Room Volumes”When enabled, the Group Volume slider should scale all grouped rooms proportionally while maintaining their relative volume levels.Example:Before: Living Room 100%, Kitchen 80% Group Volume -20% → Living Room 80%, Kitchen 64% Group V
I noticed another member posted 6 months ago with the exact same issue I am having.Sonos Arc Ultra Euro 100 X2Sub 4Playstation 5 ProSound drops out during games or on the home screen as per OuttaTime posted.Apparently it's a known issue with Sonos and setting the PS5 audio to Dolby Atoms. How has this not been resolved?
YouTube Music skipping tracks due to song not being encoded properly
Bass unit will not join AT&T modem whether wireless or wired to Ethernet. Have tried everything- rebooted, removed old system info from past usage elsewhere & just can't get it to tie in to wireless network that Arc unit & 2 Era 100 speakers are on . Any suggestions or recommendations ?

I have the following set up LG OLED55C8PLASonos Beam (Gen 1)Google TV Streamer 4kHDMI audio extractor connect to sonos optical and Newcare HDMI extractor 4k 60HZ to optical toslink spdifI am using TiviMate pro but am getting lip sync issues, when I use Netflix I have to adjust the lip sync but when I switch back to TV watching live programs the lip sync is out again, correcting that then the netflix is outIs there anything I can do or purchase to correct this issue or is the Google streamer not compatible with the Sonos?
I’m getting tired of the two era 100 speakers cutting out it’s embarrassing for the prices I paid for this and I have changed the WiFi channels rebooted them and you can’t even sync the TV volume with them only the arc might take it back. My old system never did this (wired).
When I changed the music on one speaker and change which speakers and different music the first speaker continued to play the station that was previously playing after I had deselected it and set a new group. User error? Perhaps but improved navigation seems a bit cumbersome. I’m turning it off for comparison. Thoughts?
This is so frustrating. Last night, when I said "Alexa, turn off the TV", it failed repeatedly. I checked the app on my iPhone and it showed no products in my system. So I went to re-add my Beam and when I got to the part where I need to input my wifi password, it failed. I rebooted the Beam, I rebooted my Google Wifi router, I reset my Sonos app. Nothing worked. Then I connected an ethernet cable directly to my Beam and that worked. So I went to update my network in the app while connected to ethernet still. Once again when I went to input my password. I got an error saying it couldnt connect. Nothing about my home network has changed, including my password. At this point, I give up. I bought an unmanaged switch to place behind my entertainment center and will just connect the Beam with an ethernet cable. It shouldnt be this hard.
BonjourJ’ai cru comprendre en achetant un Sonos Port qu’on pouvait écouter la musique d’une chaîne Hi fi analogique sur l’enceinte Move2 en wifi mais je n’arrive pas à les connecter. Merci pour l’aide Moderator edit:Google translate -Hello, When I bought a Sonos Port, I was under the impression that I could play music from an analog Hi-Fi system on the Move 2 speaker via Wi-Fi, but I can't seem to connect them. Thanks for the help.
So I have been using the HD Fury Arcana since its initial release, to link my SONOS ARC to my 4k projector. This evening the Arcana finally "gave up the ghost" so to speak. I smelled a faint odor of electric fire and then the HDMI output no longer recognised the cable. I assume there was a short, and not easily fixed. The Arcana has lasted 5-6 years so I'm not too surprised its crapped out. So my question is simply this: are there better and/or cheaper alternatives out there now? I know there's an "Arcana 2" but I don't think I need that. What I am looking for is something that will do the job of splitting Atmos signal out to the ARC without setting me back £200. Back in the day the Arcana was the only game in town but its been a long time since then. I can see similar products on Amazon for significantky less money, but they look a bit dodgy. Are people having success with other products? Please point me in the right direction.
When i set my TCL TV audio output to auto it plays youtube content in dolby multi channel pcm 2.0. when i set it to passthrough it plays content in stereo pcm. Auto sounds a lot louder/dynamic at the same volume level and to my ears sounds better? Passthrough sounds quieter but perhaps technically better quality? (I’m not sure). I thought the best setting for a soundbar was to set it to passthrough so it receives uncoded audio and the soundbar outputs the raw source? It seems like I prefer the opposite! Which format is better? I have a beam gen 2 FYI. It’s the same on Netflix also. I can’t remember the formats displayed on the Sonos now playing screen but auto sounds better to me also. Would love to hear some audio enthusiasts advice!
Currently it takes multiple taps to see the radio status for a speaker, then several more to see another, to see all your information takes a lot of clicks and paper/pencil to remember all the results.A single page consolidating this information for all devices in a system would greatly ease troubleshooting and equipment placement decisions. Putting it under the Network heading would be handy. If status of the 5 gHz surround links could be included that would be another big plus.
HelloEDIT:This post was incorrectly tagged as a “question”. It’s a “conversation”.Occasionally the Sonos App may not behave as you like or maybe a feature is missing such as the volume slider for example. Rather than push the panic button here are a few things you might try that don’t involve unplugging all Sonos and/or rebooting your router. Incidentally, if rebooting your router is necessary it’s a good idea to unplug ALL Sonos before doing so. OK…getting back to my original premise about trouble shooting the Sonos app…Step 1_Check for updates and install if available:App Store (iOS) Play Store (Android)Step 2_If no updates are available:Stop the app on your device and restart it. That’s essentially a reboot which can resolve a multitude of issues.Step 3_If Step 2 doesn’t’ resolve the issue:Delete the app Reboot your device and join your Wi-Fi Reinstall the app from the App Store (iOS) or Play Store (Android). Go to Step 4Step 4_Do the following in order:Open the app Select “Join an
This has been a problem since I bought my Sonos system a year ago. I have ca 500 albums on my NAS which equates to about 12,000 tracks. Many of these albums are combination albums with many tracks and all different artists. Sonos splits the album into individual tracks when searching under albums (that is ridiculous imo). Ok so recommendation is to equalise the artist names under, say, Various. I do this using tag editor. Reindexing makes no difference. The original indexing is retained. I have tried removing the music library path and reentering. Still the same. I have tried removing all speakers from system and re adding. Just the same. How on earth is it possible to reindex my library? Where is this old data being stored? If I can delete it then it would have to take revised info from the NAS.
The adjustment shortcut is missing sub. I still need to go to the room settings and jump between EQ and SUB level.
Against my instincts due to the long works with the Sonos app and the history etc I purchased the Ace today in the airport. First use after updating to firmware 3.9.9 and the left ear is making a pulsing fluttering effect from the ANC. ANC switched off. No problem. It's exactly like driving on the highway with the window cracked open and you get that resonance. In short the headphones are useless in this state. The ANC can't be used so they are dud. Is there a fix?Impossible to return to the shop as it's in the airport and I've flown to my destination. What didn't I listen to my gut? Thanks.
Hey guys, I’ve owned a Sonos Move 2 for about a year now. In my house there’s a system setup for an arc home theatre, and I had my Move 2 on its own separate system (these systems are 2 separate Sonos accounts as well). I realized last month that my Move 2 no longer showed up in the app, but it still worked over Bluetooth.I Finally set myself to fixing the setup, and did a factory reset on the move to reconnect it. However when I choose to setup a new system with it, it gets as far as having completed the WiFi connection and then fails to make a new system, causing my speaker to be lost.Specifically, it gets to the point where the app informs me that my Move has been added to the system, and that it will likely need to be reset in order to be seen. At this point the app fails to actually make a new system, I find myself connected to the existing home theater system. when my Move 2 finishes resetting it’s just non-existent in the app, with no new system created. I’ve tried re-installing
