I have been having issues with my Sub, it cuts out randomly and noticeable. I cannot change the network channel (Google WiFi Mesh) so I moved the sub to the other side of the room to see if I could reduce eliminate interference.I have a Playbase up front, two Play 1s in the rear and a sub. The Playbase is connected via Ethernet and I checked that I am using Sonosnet in the app (WM0). I noticed that one of my rear Play 1 surrounds was also plugged in via Ethernet so I disconnected the cable and “poof” Sonos network down. All Sonos devices except the Playbase appear in the app. I also have a Beam upstairs, a Play 1 in the basement those disappeared from the network also. I had this problem a long time ago once and turning everything off and bring it up would eventually fix it but not this time.So I tried restoring to default one of my Play 1s and connected to the app but every single time when it is finishing configuration I get the message “Your Play 1 has been added but may not appear
Good morning, when Google Music went black I changed for a paid subscription with You Tube Music and uploaded my own music. When searching for music in the Sonos S1 app I could choose between Spotify and the music from You Tube Music and my uploads. Since some months You Tube Music doesn’t appear on my searches anymore in the app. The app however tells me that You Tube Music is active in my S1 app. I deleted and restored the You Tube Music connection to my S1 app. , which worked flawless, but whatever I try there is no You Tube Music popping up in my searches!!!!! Please help!!! Many thanks in advance!peter
Speakers disappearing from system. No longer visible within Sonos app nor within Spotify airplay, etc. Yesterday, I noticed it on my Android phone. Today, its on my iphone. It’s not limited to a speaker type as it’s impacted my Play 5 Gen2’s, many Sonos One SLs, Sonos One and Move. Still showing on Playbar and 1 one SL. Was there a new product release? My home lost power 6 days ago for an hour, but never had any issues in the days following. Sonos tech, please advise. One other item to note, one the speakers no long showing up, actually still streams radio.
If I ask google home mini located in the kitchen to play a specific song in another room, ie living room, it says that the content isnt available and it cant perform that action. Cant remember the actual words used. But if I go into the sonos app and search the song, it is available and can be played. Is there any way around this?
I have a Sonos Move, everything was working fine until I changed my wifi network and I setup again Sonos Move and linked to Google Assistant again. After that when some music is playing, Google Assistant stops listening. When music is paused, it listens perfectly, even if i place the volume as low as possible (zero level - no music sounds) the microphone does not work. It was working perfectly before the change.
Hi,I'm using a Huawei 4G Router 3 Pro and have dropouts when playing music from Tidal HiFi. When I'm playing internet radio or using another music service (Telmore musik), which is lower bandwidth (320 kbps) I don't have dropouts. I'm using a Connect gen. 2 hardwired to the router through an unmanaged switch. I know that LTE routers are not supported by Sonos, but am wondering if anyone has managed to use Tidal HiFi with a LTE Router? TIA Moba
When I attempt to play this station through Alexa, I receive an error message. I have to open the Sonos Desktop or Mobile App. How can this be fixed?
I noticed (twice on my first day of Sonos customer - my first Move arrived yesterday) that eventually I can’t talk to Alexa, she wouldn’t reply.I have come up with the following workaround: click the Bluetooth button to activate Bluetooth click the Bluetooth button again to deactivate itSounds familiar to anyone?Wi-Fi coverage is good. Can use music with Spotify just fine on the Move. It’s just Alexa
Hello, I've owned a pair of Sonos One for about 2-3 months now and they are amazing. Especially since Google Assistant launched for Sonos speaker in the Netherlands last month. The first few weeks were very good and I had little complaints. But since 1-2 weeks Google Assistant stop responding to even the most basic questions. Only when I stand next to the speaker that has the voice enabled and I talk really slow she sometimes understands what I mean. We have our Google Assistant in English, since my girlfriend is Swedish. Even tho there is bilingual support in Google Assistant there is no way to name rooms/devices in Dutch and Swedish. So we choose the middle ground and set everything in our house in English. I've already tried the following: Setting it too Dutch. It's now in dutch and it's far from perfect. But she does seem to respond a bit better now. But this is not a solution. Rebuild my entire home in the Google Home App Factory Reset both my Sonos One Speakers I'm getti
HiAnyone successful in getting the Port’s 12V trigger to work with Alexa ? It works fine with S2 app, but if I want to start music using Alexa the digital starts streaming but the amp does not turn on. Any ideas/suggestions. If not, how do I report a bug?
Previously I had the following Sonos Setup:A Sonos One in the kitchen and a old Sonos Connet Amp S2.The Amp was connected via to the digital input to the digital output from my tv and the Amp's analog audio input was connected to my radio and the left and rigt speaker terminals was connected to my Beolab 8000 speakers.Due to the Amp's prioritization between input on digital and analog the amp would automatically switched between radio sound and TV sound, i.e. TV when the TV was turned on on and back again to radio when the TV was turned onand vice versa when the TV was ternede on again. Now I also have a Sonos Arc and 2 Sonos ONE SL's and a Sonos SUB all configured in the TV room. The Arc is connected to the TV's HDMI arc output, and TV sound is working fine.My Sonos Connect Amp S2 is now only connected to my Beo lab 8000 speakers. When I play music/radio via my Sonos app, I select output to go to my Sonos One in the kitchen and my Sonos Connect Amp S2 in my living room (which in fact als
Few months ago I was able to play Kindle books in my Sonos SL paired as stereo, not sure what happened that now its not possible, I tried resetting both speakers to factory settings and configuring them again but no luck. Does anyone has experienced this or know how could this be solved?
Hello, I've actived the Google Assistant on my Sonos one which is working great so far. However the audio que and the answers Google gives are way louders than the current volume (5%) should allow for. It's next to my bed and esp. at night this is quite annoying. Is there any way to control this? Also maybe it's an idea to introduce the feature that Google Home speakers have for some time now, the ability to set a max volume at night hours.
Have previously had both arc and One connected just fine to network, unplugged the One to move to different room which seemed to lose arc from network. Tried resetting arc but it can never connect wirelessly, can connect with Ethernet but despite then switching to wireless network it remains wired - connection drops when removing Ethernet. Any ideas?
Hello - wondering if someone on the forums could help me. I have been a Sonos customer since 2009 and have accumulated a number of devices that are incompatible with the S2 app. I have been happily continuing on with using the S1 app until I recently ordered a new Five and regrettably, failed to memorize the extensive list of caveats and gotchas associated with trying to buy a new Sonos product (otherwise I would have remembered not to buy any more Sonos products).Long story short, I reluctantly decided to split my Sonos system into two, removing my legacy products and settling on use of S2 for the newer stuff. Having removed them all from my system, I powered down my S5s while I attempted to sell them. Since that time, the S2 system has been working fine.Today I successfully sold the S5s and powered them up to perform a factory reset before handing them off to the buyer. When I got home, I went to fire up my S2 system and found to my surprise that those S5s are now listed in my S2 app
Wanted to post this up somewhere for people that might be tearing their hair out like I was without realising the issue.TLDR: when going through Sonos app to enable Google Assistant for your Sonos devices (Sonos One, Beam or Move), make sure your pi-hole is DISABLED / your DNS setup is unfiltered and ok. Turns out my pi-hole was blocking something from resolving somewhere which meant Google Assistant could not find any of the Sonos devices (No Devices Found error in the final steps in Google Assistant app). This was even despite the Google Home app showing the Sonos account as “linked” and showing the devices in the “Rooms” shown - it just wouldn’t complete the final steps of actually enabling the assistant on them...I probably shouldn’t be allowed to run my home network given such a simple thing, but sometimes the obvious/simple things are what you overlook, so maybe someone else will find this useful.______________________________Long Story: I was recently trying to add a Google As
Hi,Myself and my partner have a Sonos beam and 2 Sonos 1 speakers setup in our living room, the Sonos account under my partners email. We both have the Sonos app on our phones, both signed in under his account. Everything has been working fine, both of us able to control Sonos either using the voice command or selecting songs through the app on our phones until 24 hours ago when suddenly I tried accessing the account on my phone and the account, system, services & voice options were greyed out. I was also getting the error message “unable to connect to Sonos”. What’s weird is that my partners app was working completely fine with no connection issues. We have tried unplugging our router, switching off our Sonos products at the plug, even doing a factory reset and yet are still having the same issue. What’s weird is that now we have reset it all up through my phone it’s now working fine but now my partner is having the same issue on his phone ie. the above options greyed out getting
I recently bought a new wifi router/access point an ASUS RT-AC88U Once I switched over to it I found that I had sporadic access to my Sonos speakers (Play 3, Playbar + Sub). Sometimes I could connect to the speakers, sometimes I couldn't. When I could connect I'd sometimes be able to see all the rooms and other times only 1. I played with a bunch of wifi settings and finally tracked down the culprit. Wireless menu >> Professional Tab >> Airtime Fairness This setting is enabled by default. When I disabled it my access to my Sonos was restored to it's former fully functioning glory.
When I play music through my surround sound it cuts out. I have isolated it to my play bar. (Television works fine.) I have rebooted, tried it connected to eathernet and on wifi. Problem is consistently the same. I changed router settings as per sonos and it is still doing it. All other sonos speakers are fine. Any ideas?Case 02573886
I’ve just spent two hours re-setting my Sonos One so that it recognizes a new router. Alex is working Ok, because when I ask her the time, or the weather, she gives correct answers, and when I ask her to play a particular play list, she finds the play list and says that she’s playing it, but there’s no sound after that??
I have recently upgraded to SONOS S2 software and removed old devices from my home network. In particular I wanted better Hi Res support for my HiFI setup. Imagine my alarm when I find that my old Connect (v2) works better than the new PORT and more to the point that the PORT is unusable in my system.Let me elaborate:My music is stored as uncompressed FLAC images, Rips of my CD collection. I play these via the Connect(V2) to an M-Dac (via coax cable). I have run tests and the bit pattern from my Library hard disk to the M-Dac is preserved exactly. that is, the original CD is delivered intact to the M-Dac! Great! Not so the PORT. Instead of delivering a 44.1/16 stream to the Dac it delivers 44.1/24. The original CD is changed and the DAC compromised. THIS is unacceptable. But here’s the thing. The PORT does NOT deliver even the lowest so called Hi Res file to the DAC. I play a 48/24 file to the PORT and it does what Connect does and samples down to 44,1/24.The press releases for the SONO
Hi, I have Sonos Play 5 Gen 2. Speaker does not power on. After closer inspection I found that mosfet (65E6600) is shorted and with it blew R108, R106 D3, R12 components. Could someone share if anyone had experience with this issue? Also could someone be kind enough to provide values for these components?
Hello everyone! Hopefully someone can help me, I have to constantly close and open the app on my iPhone to connect to my system, then once connected I can pick one song and then after that it disconnects again and I can’t pick anymore. It will then connect again after about 3-4 mins. Very very frustrating. Anyone have any idea’s?
I've been instructed to send back my faulty Play 5 gen2 speaker to Sonos.I've been sent two emails though, one with shipping instructions from DHL and one saying use UPS? The DHL email sends me to the Norwegian site?!?I'm from the United Kingdom, can anyone help please.........I miss using my speaker!!!!!
