I have a PC with an Nvidia GTX 1060 hooked up to an LG CX conntected to my Sonos Arc SL, Sub Gen 3, and 2 One SLs hooked up as surrounds. I downloaded Dolby Access and was able to successfully see Dolby Atmos reflected in the Sonos app, however when I went to play non-Atmos sound I had a loud buzz come out of the One SLs, this has happened a couple times trying to get Atmos to work. I had set the TV to pass through, but then it seemed the non-Atmos surround sound didn’t work, so I set it to Auto and it seemed like everything was great until I came back after a half hour and tried to play a youtube video and had that god awful noise. I’m wondering if my HDMI cable from the pc is too low quality, as I’m having an issue enabling HDR on the TV after changing the port to pc mode.
Hi,Using Sonos S2 app on Android 10.I used to be able to tap the volume slider either side of the marker and it would adjust the volume a small amount each time. This no longer works, has this feature been removed or is it just me?Also when I have speakers grouped, if I want to adjust the volume of only one of the speakers in the group, I can no longer tap the volume marker, get a pop up and then adjust the individual speaker - I have to drag the slider to get the pop up - which is a pain as it adjusts the volume of all the speakers at first so I can access an individual.Tried uninstalling and reinstall with no luck. Thanks
I have read many posts about how to configure Sonos when you have 2 or 3 homes and how to manage the different speakers in each house. Many of the solutions involve “resetting” the app on your phone each time you go between each house, so the app somewhat “forgets” and “rediscovers” which house you left and which house you just arrived at. I have managed to implement a different procedure that does not involve resetting the Sonos app and I wanted to share it and see if it fixed more problems than it creates for other members in the community. I’m not sure how you would do this on an apple phone, but my Samsung Galaxy has a “secured folder”, which creates essentially a separate phone within a phone, where many apps can run in another “instance” with different accounts and without conflicting with the same app on the primary instance of the phone. Other Android phones can use an app called “Dual Space” which does pretty much the same thing. So in my primary home, I am running Sonos nor
Hi,My Sonos Play 3 and 3x Sonos Play 1s have all just randomly stopped working. I work in IT, I have a dedicated 2.4Ghz SSID for Sonos to use, all was working fine but randomly on occassions I see one speaker, then two, then none. I have CAT6 around my house and have tried connecting the speakers to this but this has not had the desired effect. When I review my wireless, which is emterprise grade Aruba WiFi I see the devices connected on the SSID. All have a valid IP address. I have no traffic filtering, etc. It just randomly stopped working. I looked in the Google Play store at the S2 app and it seems a common problem. I also have the same problem on my iPhone and iPad. It is incredibly frustrating as nothing changed in my setup. I even tried disconnecting them all and wiring them directly into an enterprise Cisco switch I have that I run my network over and this fails too. My system has been reliable for 5 years plus and has now become completely useless and unstable. Other services
Just connected my new beam to my tv and feel I have been conned. The sound quality is very poor. I have a soundbar and a couple of play ones and they are brilliant. The beam seems to distort at very low volume and I am very disappointed, to the extent that I want to return it.Is this a common complaint?
I am trying to play music from a turntable as line-in to a Sonos Five, and have the music play through all my Sonos speakers in stereo mode.***I have a Sonos Five speaker in one room with a line-in turntable (Den). In another room I have an ARC, SUB, 2 Sonos one SLs set up as surround. (FAMILY).In the Family room, the Sonos SL speakers will go into surround sound setting automatically when playing a movie, and switch to stereo speakers when streaming music. However, if I group the room DEN with the room FAMILY, the Sonos SL speakers stay in surround sound setting even when playing music.I am not able to directly add the Sonos Five speaker to the FAMILY home theater room. And I am hoping that I don’t have to keep manually moving the Sonos SL speakers to other rooms for the purpose of using them as stereo speakers when playing the turntable.Has anyone been able to overcome this issue?
I recently purchased 2 sonos move speakers that are stereo paired and currently have them on the 2nd floor of my house. The main Xfinity gateway/router is on the first floor directly below the room with the move speakers. The other side of the 2nd floor has a wifi dead spot where I installed a EX8000 Netgear Nighthawk wifi extender which just failed completely and now needs to be replaced. What type of WiFi range extender would you recommend that will provide "seamless roaming" for my other devices but won't cause interference with the move speakers' connecting to the main wifi? (I had initial move installation problems that your tech said was caused by the Netgear wifi extender.)
error 1101.3 out of my 4 songs products wont update giving. error code 1101i have re set router. deleted and reinstalled app still the same.anyone any ideas.
I have recently upgraded my iMac and it came with Big Sur 11.2.3. When opening my Sonos desktop app and trying to connect to our system i get the following. The nearest speaker is about 8 feet away. The firewall is offI have trieduninstalling and reinstalling the app turning the computer off/on resetting the router - when i did this is recognised the system but when i quit the app and re-opened it was back to the message aboveThe system works fine on my iPhone, my partners iMac (Catalina) and other bits if kit...so it seems a Big Sur problem. Any suggestions? Thanks
After 2 sessions with Apple and 3 sessions (3 hours) with Sonos Support each one sending me the other way I still can’t play my Library from my iMac to Sonos Playbar in the Lounge. It has worked ok for 5 years. Basically I get an error message when trying to load the Music Folder. They’ve checked Privacy and sharing options ad infinitum, no joyAny help greatly appreciated, I’m reasonable at Techo but not great Many Thanks Roger UK
Hello Amazon music suddenly stopped working on my Sonos Arc. I get the attached error message. I am definitely not using Amazon Music on any other devices. Any one else ever have this issue?
I have searched the various posts gogin back to 2017. Current SONOS app is unable to connect to True NAS.Steps taken to remove the problemSet up dedicated user on TrueNas for sonos enabled SMB1 CIF server on WIndows 10 Removed SMB2/3 on freeNas (and then reinstated) Given full permissions on the mount pint (Plex) via True NAS ACLSteps I will not be takingReinstalling windows Creating a “sonos” user on windowsIf anyone has experienced similar issues and has a working solution based on the facts above I would be glad to hear it. Please do not ask a plethroa of “fact finding” questions about other services /users connecting to the TrueNAs mount point /datapool - they can. This is a SONOS specific issue which the tech guys consider is beneath their attention.
Have Sonos solved the issue of not being able to preset a fixed volume level for Google Assistant feedback? I know this issue has been discussed in several threads before, but it is annoying and it is 2021 now… *Moderator Note: Modified in accordance with the community guidelines.*
Hello.I would like to know if sonos plans to release alexa to Brazil in portuguese-br.
Hi, I have in my living room Arc+Sub+2xOneSL. When I set up everything works. Suddenly Arc disappears from the app, but not from the network. I have separate network that is only for Sonos speakers. The internet connection is fully open. I can see from the router side that the Arc is connected all the time to the network and has the IP address. When I restart Arc by pulling out the power cord and pluging it again, it comes alive and also appears to Sonos App. BUT... It should say under system Arc (+ Sub + Surround) now it says Arc ( + ? + ?). Only way to get everything up and running is removing the sub and surround setup, reset all speakers, rejoin them to the network and to system and set up system again. Not very nice from these products. Is there anything that I can do? All speakers are connected via Wireless to WPA2-PSK network, both 2,4G and 5G band available (I have Ubiquiti Unifi network gear). This is now doing it more than once in a day, so it is starting to annoy me. Otherw
Would love to hear some feedback from a sonos rep and other folks in the community on if their Sonos arc’s bass compresses at higher volume. Since I don’t have a subwoofer I like to have the arc EQ settings at +6 or +7 for music purposes and noticed that at high volumes the bass compresses and becomes very minimal. I spoke to a Sonos support rep who tested my arc with me and assured that my device was faulty and so I was sent a new one. After setting up the new one the same issue presents itself. Bass compression at volume 70 or above. I personally have no need to play anything above 70 but I’m not sure why Sonos would lie and say that shouldn’t happen when it’s happening yet again on my new arc. I’m still waiting for this soundbar to prove its value to me.
Panasonic ex750bI get a loud high pitched squeal from the Beam when changing channels. Dd to dd or dd to non dd. Used to be occasionally, but now all the time. Setting the q mini to stereo is a workaround but it's not really the answer. What troubleshooting can be done?
Hello, when I use the spotify application to listen to music from my iphone, I try to turn the volume up or down but it doesn't work .. I see the green volume bar go up and down but the sound always stays at the same intensity ... Hello,I have a Sonos Beam hooked up to my TV. I also like to play music on it using Alexa or Airplay from my iPhone. But lately, I’ve had a strange issue where the Sonos randomly stops showing up in the AirPlay menu, and the Sonos app on my phone can’t find the system either. However, the system is still completely working and connected to the Internet, as I can play music with Alexa just fine. So it’s not a matter of the system losing its internet connection; it’s just that my phone can’t seem to find it anymore.Last time this happened, completely restarting all my devices and my router solved the issue. (Restarting the phone, on its own, doesn’t help.) However, it’s happened a couple more times since then and I really don’t want to have to go through the hassle of restarting everything every few days, so I’d like to get to the bottom of what’s actually causing this. I assume it’s something to do with my router, but I haven’t actually changed any settings on my router in months, so I’
Hello,As i stated before, after adding some music to the sonos playlist from my cloud home, after a while sonos stop playing and shows the message that have lost the connection to My Cloud Home. After that error i check and the disk is available and i can acess the files on explorer or my cloud app. What could it be?
I also have the problem with 2x Sonos PLay1 can't play together “both” over WiFi.I have 1 connected over WiFi wireless & 1 directly connected wired and it works fine. But both over wirless = WiFi doesn’t work!I seen them both in the ISP modem and they getting both an IP address!I have made some month ago a call to Sonos but still can’t fix the problem because it is a multicast problem. I don’t think that this will the issue.I have plugged 2 Sonos Play1 directly connected wired to the ISP modem behind. But still no luck!Submit support diagnostic: 279263876It makes me mad that I still not can connect 1 Sonos Play1 together and I have spended many times and effort to find a solution. I have checked the Internet as well, but no luck. How to solve it?
Greetings! My system includes:1 x Connect (ZP90) (connected to LAN via ethernet)2 x Connect:Amp (ZP120) All running S1 with the latest firmware and software. Some time ago I start observing the following behaviour. If I start playback on Connect it plays fine. Once I group Connect with a single or both Connect:Amps then Connect stops playing. If I ungroup Connect, then it continues normal playback. Anyway Connect:Amps play correctly if grouped. The issue first appeared back in 2012 and then Sonos technical support suggested to go :1400/advconfig.htm and set FirstZP to Enabled and :1400/reboot. Currently the trick doesn’t do its job. Any other ideas on how to overcome the issue? Thank you.
I've got 9 devices running happily on sonosnet (S1), and a single Play 5 Gen1 on WiFi in a distant room which sonosnet doesn't reach but which is strongly covered by mesh wifi (Asus AX Zenwifi mini). The WiFi connected device disappears and reappears from the list of devices randomly... it plays absolutely fine when it's there, and there's no problem with the WiFi connectivity on the mesh. The sonos is still shown as a WiFi connected device to the mesh node when it's disappeared. I can re add it each time to speed up the reappearance process, but it's obviously pretty tiresome doing that.Connection report below.... the troublesome device is the one called Storage, and it is about 2 metres away from the mesh node so definitely has a good signal.Any suggestions? Thanks
I do see other related topics, but thought I’d start my own to avoid confusion. I just replaced my router/modem combo with a Netgear C7800 and now I can’t seem to get Airplay to work with my Sonos speakers. I have an Arc and three Ones. I tried reconnecting them all the network and I tried a full factory reset. I even unistalled and reinstalled the app. On the reset, I connected the Arc first and tried Airplay - it worked. But, the second I added another speaker none of them worked with Airplay (and I had no issues up until yesterday). Other than that, everything seems to work fine. I can Airplay to my TV, I can play from the Sonos app (on my phone and computer), and I can cast music from my computer to a speaker. Everything is up to date. Possibly some hidden setting that I’m missing??? Diagnostics - 18134826239. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!
