In my living room I have an Arc and Sub. The ARC is wired to the router. In my kitchen I have a Move. When I first set it up, I could connect the Move to the app no problem, however, after a while it disappears. If I shut off the Move, it will appear on the App as offline. If I turn it on again, it will appear and work fine. Its a bit of a pain to have to recycle the power everytime I use it. A couple of updates ago, it seemed like it was finally fixed and the move stayed connected.I did an update yesterday and now its broken again and I have to restart everytime I want to use it.Its docked when this is happening
So obviously Alexa can be enabled on Roam, this question is whether the Roam can be one of the "Alexa-Enabled Devices" in a group and not just a "Device".The difference being I can tell an Alexa-Enabled device to "turn on the lights" and the lights in the specific group associated with that Alexa-Enabled Device turn on. With the Roam, you need to specify the group as it only appears as a Device. For info, when editing a group, both the Beam and One appear under "Alexa-Enabled Devices" whereas Roam appears under "Devices".
Hello I currently have a 5.0 sonos system consisting of a playbar and 2 play:1 surround sound systems for the home cinema and a denon df107 system for the music. My plan is to replace all that with the new generation sonos amp associated with two bookshelf speakers that have yet to be defined, connected via HDMI to the TV. I have several questions about this: - is it relevant to replace a playbar, for which I am disappointed with the stereo spatialization, by a sonos amp? - what about the surround effect generated by the 2 play:1 associated with the amp? Are the effects well managed? Is there a degradation at this level compared to the playbar?
Hi Sonos Fans,Proud owner of a Sonos Arc, my LG 4K OLED TV turns on my Arc when streaming Spotify from my iPhone 13.Is that possible to only use the Arc without having it turning on the TV ? thanks a lot for your helpAnthony
I have the sonos move speaker which I registered in alexa app. However I cannot make it play simultaneously with my echo dot 4gen using “combine speakers” feature. When I choose this option only echo dot shows up in the list. When I choose “sonos move” group I cannot select both speakers - it is either or.But when I go to “devices” I can see echo dot AND sonos in the list. Any body has any idea? Appreciate any help… :)
Just as my Sonos Play:1 and Sonos Play:3 is setup in Stereo, og had the same intention with my new Sonos Roam. After Stereo Paring, they can stay paired for some days, but unfortunately, they keep randomly unpairing for some reason, and i have to start over again. The Roam unpairing can happen out of the blue, - or when network/power or something else do change. Though, my Sonos Play:1 and Play:3 keep being Stereo Paired. So Why Not the Same With Roam? I hope this will be fixed.
It seems VERY shortsighted on the part of Sonos to push an Arc update to then be told the Arc was reset during the update and use Trueplay only to find out my iPad OS is simultaneously no longer supported. I then purchased a new iPad Air Gen 5 and it is not yet supported so has anyone at Sonos considered this possibility?? Please don’t reset my Arc during future updates Sonos, OK?
I like to use a sonos arc soundbar as surround sound for a Projector and motorized screen setup. Any idea on how or if possible at all?
I have worked with Sonos techs on and off for over two years because my 8 sonos gen 1 speakers would constantly drop and skip and be generally a disaster. This was a new problem vs the 10 years I started collecting Sonos speakers. My diagnostics always checked out. I was ready to completely abandon Sonos. I felt like I was being forced into the new Sonos 2 system. I bought a fairly inexpensive sonos boost and that didn’t help either. THEN it occurred to me that the weak link was not the Sonos system or my high speed internet connection but the quality of the feed the stream service was giving me and sure enough it was.Amazon music skips stutters and drops but when I tried other stream services like Sonos Radio or Pandora or TuneIn or Spotify there were zero drops. Audio plays flawlessly. For me AMAZON MUSIC IS BAD NEWS AND GIVES ME A BAD FEED ON SONOS. I’m not sure if it’s a sonos thing or Amazon thing but currently anything else other than Amazon Music on Sonos is what works well for
HiWhile I enjoy the new voice commands very much for modifying playback. I often end up asking for increased volume on great track, but forget to turn it down again.Suggestion: Voice command: “(Hey Sonos) This is a great track!”Response: Volume increase to a (in app?) set value, but for the remainder of the song only. For the next track, volume should return to whatever it was before.
There are some basic functions I am missing:Set a sleep timer increase/decrease Volume here (like in this room) Play this everywhere (like Group everything) Set a timer (in general)and… of course… I am missing Spotify.Apart from that - its great!! Thank you!
Has anyone else had an awful experience doing a return/replacement?
What is up with these clowns? It’s been over two months, have not been able to receive a refund for a product I never received. This is after I, the customer, called through to ask about status and get in touch with local delivery carriers. I have a clown named Nicole who’s the “director of sales” “helping” me. I’m so annoyed and frustrated that I’d rather just stick to my native tv speakers.
Hi all,I worked with assistant for about 2 yrs. now in the living room on Playbar-Sub-One (Rear) setup. We upgraded now the play:1 to Sonos One and SL in the kitchen one week ago, to get convience with assistant too. The distance between both speakers is about 5 meters, with a wall in between.Since the adding of the One in the kitchen, we encounter strange messages from Google like:no setup for room extremly slow performance in executing commands (about 10-15 secs) “your command is not supported yet”Does anyone has experience with this issue? It’s really annoying. It took me a long time to convince my wife, but now I’m angry on myself - waiting 15sec to get the light on or stop music.PS: Sonos App is working well, like before.kr, Thomas
Sonos, you may think your updates are important but don’t disable my surround sound. Not only that but the update is not successfully updating, so this causes me to have to stop what I’m doing to troubleshoot. So, you forced an update on by disabling my surround sound and then the software doesn’t actually install. Wow. Next time, my advice is don’t do it again.
I've had Sonos for over a decade. Started with a Play:5. Decent enough. Definitely not audiophile and doesn't compare to my B&W CDM 9NT speakers, nor do I expect it to, but I did hook a Sonos Connect up to that system for the better audio quality of those speakers. I also eventually got some Play:1's, a Playbase, a Sub, and a Sonos One.Sonos eventually rendered my old system incompatible with itself. The older Play:5 and Connect are not compatible with the other newer speakers. If I try to play through all of them on the legacy app, the sound keeps dropping out. Their solution is to buy more of their stuff and junk my old perfectly working $500 Play:5 and both of my $350 Connects. Yes. That is over $1,000 in equipment they want me to junk.Well, with the Echo, you can take the 1/8" jack and output audio to any type of amp and speaker. If the tech in the Echo becomes outdated, just get a new cheap Echo instead of throwing out $1,200 in equipment. In fact, I had an old, but good quali
I’m trying to build a killer system for a home gym in a large room with a climbing wall & weight lifting/training equipment. Sonos will be the source of the music with all 3 options. I'm interested in folks opinions of the options. I appreciate the input!I want great quality sound that I can turn up loud when I want it. The room is large with tall ceilings - 13’ ceilings & about 22’x23’ dimensions. I listen to alternative, rock, hip-hop music.Option 1 - "Sonos Full" - (4) Sonos Fives, (2) Sonos Subs.Cost - around $5K.Thoughts - Simple. Pure, Less expensive. Not sure if it would be loud enough in this large room. Option 2 - "Sonos Hybrid" - (2) Sonos Fives, (2) KEF R3s, (2) Rythmik Subs, (1) Sonos Amp.Cost - around $8K.Thoughts - Primarily adds better subs, but also mixes in different music profile. Option 3 - "3rd Party" - (2) KEF R11s, (2) Rythmik Subs, (1) NAD C399, (1) Sonos Port.Cost - around $12K.Thoughts - Def loud enough. Sound not as distributed. Most expensive.
The Move connects to everything else fine. The Monster adapter sees the other bluetooth discoverable devices around it just fine. It cannot see the Move. It’s sitting right next to the move, in pairing mode. Here are the specs on the Monster adapter. Providing this so someone can confirm they aren’t compatible, but also hopefully this will show up in the Google results so someone else doesn’t waste their time with the Monster adapter. P.S. the adapter works great with other bluetooth speakers, just not the Move. Currently the last update for the devices especially the Arc and the Sub has affected the audio quality and the strength of the sub among other details, I can't believe that even after so many complaints and reports they have not been able to resolve the situation or allow us to return to the previous version, everything was working perfect there was nothing to fix.
Same issue as everyone else from past two years.Nothing works.Uninstalled, added again, etc.Maddening
Krautrock world radio is suddenly missing from all providers.Always been available. Any reason for this? The station is still on air
Not sure how the latest beta software was Road tested but it should have definitely been mentioned when the beta was on ho poor it was. It may well have improved the dialogue on the arc but not at the expense of the quality sound & booming bass that we had before & my volume had to go fro roughly 25% to now nearer 40% volume. The last arc that I had last year when I was involved in beta trials died as a result of the beta so much so that sonos deemed it as faulty & replaced it. Today I spoke to someone about my roam & although it was never a boomer it still had a good bass if put it up to about +10 . Please we definitely need to get our sound back to its previous levels I think I’d sooner be fighting with the remote control to turn the sound up & down as opposed to losing levels
Hi, I’m hoping someone can help. I’ve had several Sonos components for years. I leave the radio on a low volume setting for our dog when I go to work. Today I left him for 6 hours to come home and find the volume on our Sonos Amp on full volume. The dog is a total mess and playing back our cctv footage the audio can be heard outside the house on the cameras about 1 min after I leave the house. Is there anyway of finding out how this happened through any logs potentially? Thanks.
Bonjour à tous, Description Installation :TV LG OLED65CX6LA (eArc) - Sonos Arc + Sub 3e génération - Apple TV 4K - Philips Hue Sync Box (V2) pour adaptation TV Ambilight. Merci d’avance. Alex
