What can I do to get Sonos Arc Sound Bar working on my Sony KD-65X8500G TV ? Trying to setup my brand new Sonos Arc with my Sony KD-65X8500G TV. Have downloaded the Sonos2 app on my iphone. Within ‘TV Setup’ it asks to ‘Turn on your TV, then plug the HDMI cable into the HDMI ARC port’ - to which I have done and then pressed ‘Connected to ARC’. I then get a message pop up ‘HDMI ARC not detected. Make sure the HDMI cable is connected to the ARC port and your TV is on’I have done this over and over, even re setting the Sonos Arc, turning off power to Sonos Arc, turning off power to TV, Disconnecting HDMI cable from both TV and Sonos Arc and re connecting - and still getting this same message - VERY FRUSTRATING !! Is my TV settings wrong somewhere?
Wanting to get best sound by placing 7.1.4 at ideal position. Ceiling height 11feet. CURRENT SONOS PLACEMENT
Hi,I dont usually write in any forum however I was very compelled to state that ever since updating to 15.5 - my sonos arc and gen3 sub has never sounded as good as it does now.Its just superb, for a very long time I kept questioning to myself if the £900 arc and the £700 Sub was worth the cost for lets face it .. meh sound… however the 15.5 update has truly opened up the potential of the system (more so regarding the gen3 sub)>If there is any improvement on top of this (which is me being picky) is that the treble side of things on the arc can do with more clarity and more presence but thats it… I would love oif Sonos keeps the sound profile of the 15.5 update but tweaks it here and there as needed just dont revert it PLEASE! 15.5 Update has even had comments from the family - wow it sounds so much better what did you do .. erm updated it….:-D
There is no way to set your Google Assistant volume separate from the Soundbar's TV/music volumes. This means that if you muted your TV before last switching it off, you can barely hear Assistant (though it appears at least to have a minimum volume). And it means that if you last listened to your TV at high volume and go to interact with Assistant late at night, you likely will wake up your whole household. There was a thread on this which Sonos closed a year ago. At that time, people were complaining Sonos hasn't done anything about this known issue for two years. Why are we even wasting our time with feature suggestions, if Sonos won't take one which already should have been obvious anyway?
Hola a todos, quiero saber si en los sonos Move (ya están emparejados en mi red de internet) se puede escuchar música desde cualquier clase de app (YouTube/Spotify etc) o solo se puede con aplicaciones premium, gracias
I just got a Sonos AMP too that I could hook up analog Bang and Olufsen speakers to my digital Sonos app and enjoy those speakers in a music room/ den in my house. The AMP came without the blue sticker on the bottom so Chat person helped me find the 8 digit code to be able to hook the AMP to my system, but once I put in the code, it is not adding to my system. When I read up on it, it says that if someone has put connected to a Wi-FI system, router internet, then that AMP has to be reset to factory reset. I am worried Sonos send me an AMP sent back to them and that is why there was no sticker on the bottom and I am having trouble connecting the AMP to my system. Can AMP be connect to digital speakers the way the drawings suggest? Do you think I am right about this AMP being sent back to Sonos and then them sending it as a new AMP to me??
What is the plan going forward for TuneIn support on S1? The TuneIn (New) service is unavailable on S1, so once TuneIn (Classic) is disabled, that’s it I assume for S1 users?
Hi,I’ve got a job where the customer has installed an ARC behind an acoustic screen..Video is provided by a projector so there is no E ARC support. He is currently using air play to get the sound from Apple TV though the Arc but wants to now add Sky stream to the system.. I can’t find any way to get the sound from Sky stream to play via the ARC.. Any ideas.. ?? Cheers
I am wondering if I use my old play 3 that does not have the blue tooth connection and I buy a new one. Will I have the blue tooth capabilities by accessing the one and play the music on all of them from streaming
Hi all,My chromecast with Google TV always sends "Stereo PCM" to my Sonos Arc.Playing exactly the same content from the same source in any other way (app on TV, from attached laptop, AirPlay) results in surround audio on my Arc (Dolby Multichannel PCM 2.0) TV: LG OLED65CS6LADTV-audio: tried both "auto" and "Dolby Digital Plus"Audio format HDMI: bitstreamDigital output setting: pass througheArc: enabled Sonos ArcArc attached to HDMI-2 (eArc).Arc has wired internet connectionCombined with 2 Sonos One's as surround speakersGoogle Chromecast with Google TV (4K)CC attached to HDMI-1Advanced sound settings: tried both "Auto" and only "Dolby Digital Plus" enabled.Content providersNetflixVRT Max (national television station)Private content using VLC on CC or laptopI also powercycled all devices multiple times, but this didn't help.I've seen many threads on many fora, but never a real working solution except buying an Arcana as mentioned by GuitarSuperStare (https://en.community.sonos.com/home-
Last night, June 7th 2023 approx 8 pm Mountain time in the US, I was able to browse my Amazon Music that I purchased and have been listening to through Sonos for a decade. This morning it only shows the first 5 artists…….Why and how do I fix this?Without my music library I just lost 50% of the use of my Sonos…...is this being addressed or is there a work around that I’m not aware of? This is making me very upset that over 4k songs are just…….gone all of a sudden
Hi, after the update to 15.2, when I play Apple Music Hits, it stops playing within 1-50 minutes. Everything else plays just well. Only the live radio stations.I’ve noticed that when it stops playing, the speaker, which plays the Apple Music Hits station disappear from the Sonos controller for a second.Does somebody else have/had the same problem?I contacted Sonos support, however, they weren’t able to help me with that. I believe we tested everything (wired, wireless connection, router restart/update, restart all speakers, delete/re-add Apple Music service, ...).Any idea? Thanks,Jakub
Impossible de me connecter via le Bluetooth depuis le passage à la fibre.Le Roam n’est plus capté par l’ordinateur, ni nos téléphones portables alors que tout fonctionné bien en ADSL.une IDÉE ?
Trying to add Apple Music app to Sonos. Comes up with “we ran into a problem. Pl try again” tried several times. Same result. Any advice ?
I have been a happy customer for ages but what has happened to Sonos functioning in general ? Why have things become so unstable, especially using the S2 app ? Sonos not found .. components dropping out, when trying to use spotify: “Your previous requests are still pending. Please resubmit this request later. If this message reappears, please contact Sonos Customer Service.”I hear the same thing from friends (who I recommended to buy Sonos in the past) … being unable to set up their Sonos device, unstable functioning … Is it just me or are there other people having the same impression ?
Bonjour,Puis-je connecter ma box internet à ma Sonos beam avec un câble Spdif (port Box Internet) Fibre Optique (Port Sonos Beam)?Merci
OK so I sold my Sonos amp and Sub and went back to a wired system which suits me better. I retained just a couple of Sonos One’s for streamed music which have always sounded great. However for the past 8 months or so the S2 app constantly “loses” the speakers and I have to go through the whole re-registration process which is inconvenient (the speakers are out of reach) and takes a long time. From browsing this forum, this behaviour seems quite common with WiFi only setups and has been blamed on the vagaries of the local network system and/or router. Now I’m a network engineer with 30 years experience and have spent considerable time configuring my local network to suit the Sonos products (including static IP’s). IMHO this is not something I should have to do - the average user should NOT have to jump through technical hoops to get his/her product to work. The bottom line here is that despite all the re-configuration, the app regularly loses the speakers and I have given up. So am I sell
I'd like a home theatre arrangement and currently own a Beam 2nd Gen, what speakers should I choose from the Sonos stable? Room size approx 4 metres x 10 metres - concrete floor
Having installed a new BT Hub I cannot get things to work again. (I rang the helpline which says it’s open until 19.00 hours at 18.12 but it said it was closed).I have a S2 Amp with hard wired new ceiling speakers.Despite powering down the amp and separately wiring the amp direct to the hub, I cannot get the app to locate any equipment.Does anyone have any suggestions?
I control my old S1 Play 5 using Sonos S1 application configured with my Music Library service. This works PERFECTLY. I control my new S2 One Sls and Amp using Sonos S2 application with my Music Library service configured in iEXACTLY the same way as S1. S2 application says it is configured correctly and has access to same folder(s) as S1. S2 will NOT update library at all. Every parameter is IDENTICAL between S1 and S2 but S2 will NOT build an index or update. This has been flagged repeatedly for years now and Sonos support gaslights users by blaming everything else EXCEPT the S2 application. When will Sonos attend to this issue?
I’ve seen this thread a few times but I still haven’t found an answer. I have a Technics turntable into a Cambridge Solo Preamp into the Line-in on my Sonos Amp. Originally I had a cheap Pyle preamp and everything work fine until one day I started getting distortion so I upgraded my preamp to the Cambridge. Distortion is still there. I even ordered new RCA cables to see if that will fix it but I’m not convinced that’s the issue. Any thoughts?
I question why I spent over $500 on two Roams if it lacks the technology to be compatible with non-Apple products. Yes, AirPlay is cool, but if I wanted to just use the Apple ecosystem than I would have bought four Apple HomePod Mini’s for the SAME price, yet double the speakers, and honestly, way better features.Consider this a feature request for audio output on PC to Sonos speakers.I have the PC Sonos S2 App I have two Sonos Roam speakers and a Sonos One I want to have surround audio sound like I do when I use my Apple TV, but for my PC instead. Currently, because of AirPlay, I am able to do this with my speakers. However, the PC app is being left behind, there is no option. I CANNOT have PC audio output go to my speakers right now. Therefore, if I wish to use YouTube or another streaming service via my PC, audio will not go through the speakers. The point of purchasing these speakers was to use on devices that were not just Apple. I liked the fact that I can have pair/party mode whe
Hi, has anyone else noticed the recent update has reduced the sound from the Era 300s in a surround setup with the Arc? The volume seemes much lower and less oomph to it? I’ve even re-tuned the truplay to no effect. I have to now increased the EQ settings to almost max on the surrounds to get the same output from them as prior to the update?
Apple Music is a huge upgrade for classical users. Great search, content and sound. But Apple music search on Sonos is a joke. It only works 10% of the time and then when it does work if often doesn’t find stuff that I know is there. So I resort to playing from my phone or computer to my Sonos system by Airplay, which I don’t love for many reasons. Is anyone else having this problem? Any workarounds?
All brand new products - Arc soundbar, Sub, and Amp. The Arc and Sub set up easily and are working well. The Amp refuses to configure as surrounds. I can successfully add the amp as just Stereo speakers and it seems to operate properly in that mode but if I try to add it as a surround it fails each time. All three components are connected via WiFi. I’m not sure where to start with troubleshooting.
