Fix & Optimize

As in the title - the icons for these services have disappeared in the iOS app. They do appear in the Mac app. Is this just me?Also - is there still no way to remove the Sonos Radio service. I tried it and didn’t like it.  thanks

For late night listening, or for improved hearing needs, I have wireless headphones which connect to the TV via optical, and an optical out (converted to hdmi) to the beam. Since there is no hdmi to the beam via the hdmi/arc port, I can’t program my remote to work. So, I’ve ordered a simple remote to control the volume on the beam. Yes, perhaps I can control the volume via the sonos app, but that requires even visitors to have access to my phone - here or asleep or not. 

I love my Sonos system however there is one issue that I find really frustrating. Every time I open my app when i get home, the volume for my Group has reset all the levels equally. I have different speakers set at different volumes in order to achieve the most even sound possible. It's frustrating to have to constantly reset the levels. This makes it harder to justify buying future Sonos as well because the more speakers I add, the more difficult it becomes. Maybe there is a setting I'm missing here? Please help! 

As being said, I can’t access to Trueplay Tuning on my iPhone 12. The iOS version is 17.0.Just got a Beam gen2 few days ago, and I’m trying to use the Sonos app to set it up. But it showed ‘not yet supported with this iPhone’. Honestly I’m super confused because iPhone 12 is a 3-year-old model and I do spot that you guys said iPhone 12 is certainly supported now. So I just don’t get it why it is not working. 

Hi Had the Arc for a few months now. (Linked to 2019 Sony Bravia) Until recently we were able to get clear sound with tv volume on about 15, but now we have to increase to about 40.  Have the bass on 6 and treble on 4. (Someone on here suggested these settings) Have also done the Trueplay tuning a few times.  Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Tried to move my Google assistant from the Ones to my Beam gen2 and it didnt install removed it from the Ones and tried to add. Now it doesn’t show the assistant for even the Ones. 

I have Sonos devices in 3 rooms, and I have a tablet in my kitchen that is assigned as the Center of the sound universe.I want an App, with just a bit of focus on useability.Top half:  Choose what I want to hear (Spotify/radio app).Bottom half: Volume level, both one for all and the indivisual levels.

Hi, I have two Ones in a stereo pair in one room and two Symfonisk speakers in a stereo pair in another room.I am choosing playing all as a group.When the music starts, only the right One plays. Then after a few seconds the left One joins in.Then a few seconds after that, only the right Symfonisk joins in and then after another few seconds, the left joins in.Any advice so they'll all play at once from the beginning? Hi, I have bought a second hand Sonos S1 Bridge and I want to know how to I de-register the previous owenr with my details?   Is it even possible to get the bridge to work.   My existing bridge stop working and I purchased a second hand from FB. Any help to get the second-hand bridge to connect and work with my Play 5 Gen1 is much appreciated. Dennis 

It seems very limiting to me and I would of prefer if Sonos let you know in advance that your primary music source comes from Spotify and not from whatever you like to play from your phone.Spotify to me is very limited and hard to search for songs, always throw more modern versions of the songs not the original and if a musician is not on Spotify you won't find the song you are looking for.Youtube video is much preferred for me as I can find any songs that comes to my mind, plus the autoplay is way better than Spotify and remembers your preferred style of songs, Spotify autoplay is not smart this way and it just keeps throwing horrible songs.So now I have to play music from my computer not from my phone.

Hi SONOS R&D,I didn’t understand why minimum music was so loud lately until I got to this forum and read what the actual problem seems to be. What I ‘d like to say about that is. Just fix it. Speakers simply get useless at the moment since that minimum is so loud. 

Using S2 - 15.7.1Every time we try to add, delete, or edit an alarm it locks up the app and you have to close it, then reopen it. This just started happening. Is this an issue with the latest version of the app?

Hi  I have a weird issue. For years I have been able to turn on/off my TV through voice command using google assistant on my Sonos One. Suddenly this has stopped working, and the google assistant in Sonos says “Sorry unknown error has occured on [name of my chromecast]” (this error might not be precise, I have translated it from my native language). I am able to for example pause/unpause the chromecast using voice command. If if say the exact same turn on/off command using the Assistant app on my phone the TV turns on/off. I have tried unlinking/removing my assistant both in Google Home app, and in the Sonos. Linked it again, and went through the setup process, but the same error occurs. I have also tried renaming my Chromecast (found that advice in a similar thread), but same result. Both my Sonos One and Chromecast has newest firmware. If i go to https://myactivity.google.com/ and filter on assistant, I can see the command, and here it also says that unknown error has occured. Anyone

Questions on HDMI ARCIn moving around some old but excellent Panasonic TVs, including a plasma, I found that the headphone jack of the high end plasma from 2011 does not cut out TV speakers when active speakers are wired to it. A later 2018 budget Panasonic TV did just that and I was able to use just the Firestick remote to control sound levels from the external speakers with the TV speakers bypassed, therefore silent. By using the headphone jack on that budget TV. A lot of googling teaches that this 2011 behaviour is normal for Panasonic and not to be defeated.Now, on the 2011 plasma, I have to dial down the TV speakers to zero and bump up the volume on the active speakers via their controls. Clunky, but two remotes now needed because the addition of the TV speakers degrades the overall sound quality. On the other hand, the plasma of 2011, has 4 HDMI inputs, of which one - HDMI 2 - is said to be HDMI ARC. Hello, I currently don’t have sonos system and i am watching for the best system for my needs so i read about each systems.. i have a room to watch the TV, in this room (if i go with sonos) i will put:ARC 2x ERA 100 as surround SUB But just behind this « room » i have the dinning room in the same physical room, where i want to put 4x Focal 300 ICW8 speakers (with sonos AMP) During the parties i want to play music from youtube in the whole room, so ARC and AMP grouped I know that with sonos system there is a delay when the ARC HDMI is used as source and when the arc is grouped with another rooms (because speakers directly link to the arc need to be fast and responsive, but for the multiroom it require some latency for perfect synchronisation) So, i am asking if it is possible or not to add a audio delay, to force the audio synchronisation of grouped rooms and loose the video synchronisation? Typically for listening youtube videos from the TV it’s not very important if video is not synce

I have some Ikea BookShelf(BS) in the corners behind the sofa. Still seach for a soundbar,but most likely it’s gonna be a Ray or a Playbase. Then my wonder will be…..what sub would i seach for.I am a person who find good deals….used,outlet or new.I have not heard the Sub Mini play in real life,but i got a couple of Gen3’s.For me my choice depending on the price of the unit. A new Mini is $470,outlet is $400 and used(secound hand) $385-ishGen3 is $840 new,$720 on outlet and $650 used.Gen2 is normally $450-$550 used,but hard to get in white.So for me it makes the most sense to get a Gen3 from Outlet,and it justefy the $ extra from a Sub Mini.But even the Sub Mini is cheeper,it seems to hold up with the Gen3 pretty good. So,As described in the topic field, I have a Sub (Gen 3) and can't decide between a pair of Sonos Fives or a pair of Era 300’s for a general music listening set-up.I know how good the Sonos Five is, and I’m very tempted to go down that route but I also I like the idea of additional connectivity of the Era 300 but I do want to ensure that the Sub is going to make up for the perceived lack of bottom-end on the Era 300 - that is the clincher for me.I’m also interested in the spatial audio aspect of the Era 300, and have the space to position them in my Victorian semi to benefit from the wider soundstage but spatial is not a dealbreaker for me right now. I listen to jazz, funk, alt-rock and classical in the main and - important note here - intend eventually running a turntable/hifi-separates system through the proposed set-up - not decided what route to take on that yet but it will definitely happen.I’m after a rich, and engaging sound - it’s not about volume; adding the Sub to my Beam 2/O

Quick Gripe and Question: Let's say I own a small home and I have One sonos product. I set it up and personalize the system, music apps, voice, etc. I enjoy it and then after a year or so decide I need to upgrade. So then to get the most out of my situation I use the upgrade program, send in my old device and bring the new device home. We'll now the app won't allow me to set up the new device because it "can't detect my sonos system." So then the app says "did you change your wifi?" I say no so it starts looking for my offline sonos. But it can't find it because I don't have it anymore. So, whats the solution?!?! Reset the app and set up a new system! OK great! Easy fix! ... well not really because now I have to re set up all my music preferences, apps, voice assistant etc. This interface assumes that everyone using sonos will have multiple devices and will upgrade those one at a time. The Sonos app on Windows is ridiculously small on 4k monitors.  There is no ability to size the font or any other interface control size.  Does Sonos plan to invest a little time into the windows controller to make it a more positive experience.

I have a beam attached to a Samsung tv. Recently I changed my network to an ASUS mesh. After doing this and setting everything up, the beam cut out from the tv at odd intervals. Having tried everything on the forum, changing HDMI cables and switching things on and off with no effect, I noticed that the light on the beam was flashing when the tv sound dropped out. The beam is sat next to the ASUS router so I decided to hard wire it. This seems to have done the trick but I can’t get an explanation as to why it kept dropping from the wifi. Just thought I ought to put this info up here in case someone else has the same problem.

What are the best home theater designs?

My Roam just arbitrarily stopped playing music. Bluetooth shows paired with my iPhone. Battery is at 95%. Turned off/on my iPhone and Bluetooth and still nothing. 

Apologies in advance for the rant.  If you hate rants scroll on, this will end part rant/part questionand feedback solicitation.SYSTEM INFO2 Sonos 1 speakers, 1 Roam, 1 Beam Soundbar, 2 connect amps (5 yrs or so old) that I connect 2 sets of outdoor polk speakers, 2 into each amp.  1 sonos boost.  OS is S2 Intend to add the mini subwoofer but after this may refrai from spending  ore money on Sonos products  ISSUEAudio is cutting in and out of the outdoor speakers.  Sometimes  1set plays and the other set does not. Or the audio cuts in and out.  It's not the speakers because when the issue happens, it happens to the entire pair.   WHAT DID I DO BEFORE CONTACTING SUPPORT The usual stuff, rebooted the modem and router.  I then changed the network channel in the sonos app and tried each of the 3 channels.
