I recently upgraded and bought various speakers including ERA 300s, ERA 100s, ARC, Sub Woofer and an existing One.I thought I would set up one of the ERA 300s first and which I got working then I had problems with my router which is a Huawei Model H112-370, this is a 5G router which I use as my phone line based internet is very slow. Due to the problems with the 5G Router I swapped it for another 5G router which was sent to me my 5G internet provider 3 mobile. The new router is a Huawei MC801A 5G router. I also set up a new Sonos account to keep completely separate from my Sonos Gen 1 equipment. I got it all working then it failed so after speaking with Sonos Support, I decided to start from the beginning. After a few support calls I am getting fed up as I have not been able use my Sonos equipment for over a week as I cannot get it set up. It seems that the app carries out the whole process and it falls at the final hurdle of linking to my Sonos account. I have read similar
Hello Sonos Community,I just read this notice from Sonos and can't believe this is not being fixed.https://support.sonos.com/en-us/article/play-music-stored-on-your-android-deviceSonos is basically removing the ability (May 23, 2023) for us to stream MP3s stored on our Android phones over WiFi to our Sonos products.I have 1000s of tracks on my phone and many are rare recordings that are not available on any streaming service. The work-arounds they have are garbage. Load my MP3s to a NAS. One is to use Bluetooth. I didn't buy my Sonos system to stream using that horrible protocol. Please contact Sonos and let them know that this is unacceptable and that we need to keep the "On This Mobile Device" functionality for Android. This is a loss of a very important function.Thank you,JL
No puedo emparejar dos sonos five en modo stereo
Hi. Sonos doesn’t seem to support Audible.in - can I make this a feature request? There seems to be support for audible.com, audible.co.Uk, audible.de, audible.es and a couple of others only. Screenshot from S2 app attached. I have already linked my audible account to Sonos but my library is in audible.in and not in any of the above so the library in Sonos is empty.
This garbage. Right here. Why am I here? Why am I posting to a forum I shouldn't need?! I pay you for ad free. Leave me alone. I get this I get oh go listen to Drake I get oh hey here's some cowboy music you probably hate because we know exactly what you like and don't. Stop advertising to me. I pay for no advertising. Stop advertising. Stop advertising. Seriously though stop advertising to people who pay for advertise-free products. Stop.
Hello, I know there might be a way to do it, but I haven’t figured it out yet. I have a Audio Technica bluetooth turntable that I play on my Sonos Move. I have a whole Sonos system in my house (Beam, Sub Mini, 3x Ikea, etc.). I wonder if there is a way to play the turntable everywhere ? Thank you
(1) Sonos ARC connected via HDMI to Arc port of the TV => works great.(2) Second sound source, that I convert from Optical to HDMI using the Sonos Adapter. If I connect this via HDMI to Sonos ARC (and disconnect TV), it works great. Question => Is there a switch/splitter that I can control with a remote without having to switch the Sonos ARC cables in this setup? TV only supports ARC. I connected the second source to the TV, but the TV does not recognize it.
Hoping to get some advice on ceiling speaker placement in my kitchen/dining for two pairs of Sonance MAG6R’s. The kitchen/dining is 12’ wide x 23’ long. I marked with red dots 3 different configurations I have come up with. Not sure if they can be mounted in a line or not? Any help would be appreciated.
Hello,Which rear speakers for beam gen 2 and sub mini? Era 100 or era 300 (is Dolby Atmos worth the extra cost?).Thanks !
My brother-in-law passed away suddenly a couple of years ago and we visited his house this weekend. He loved tech and it’s been a nightmare for his widow to make sense of. As I’m apparently the most tech savvy (a web developer) I’ve been given the task of trying to sort out the Sonos set-up. She’s currently using an Amazon dot for music though there must be £6K’s worth of Sonos sat there redundant. He’s got two pairs of in-ceiling Sonos speakers, a Sub (Gen 1) and an early Soundbar. The set-up could be up-to 10 years old now. I managed to factory reset the Sub which was then being recognised by the Sonos iOS app, but aside from that I was unable to get anything else working.I never managed to get the in-ceiling speakers to make a sound. Am I right in thinking that there should be an Amp to go with the speakers or could they work in conjunction with the Sub?Excuse my ignorance, I’ve only ever used my Sonos One. Any advice would be much appreciated.
HelloDisclaimer: While this is a Sonos Community there are outside factors that can have a negative impact on your listening enjoyment. One of those factors is your device. While I will be discussing the iPhone the information presented is by no means intended to sway you away from Android. A poster had issues with the Sonos app crashing/unexpectedly stopping. I provided the following information that resolved the issue. Let’s begin….This information may be helpful if you are experiencing frequent crashes or unexpected shutdown of the Sonos App on your iPhone. Here’s a link to Apple with some suggested trouble shooting. However, the link doesn't mention checking your iPhone Storage and use of iCloud to store your photos; that will free up iPhone storage, assuming you are an avid picture taker. Storage can also be an issue affecting performance on Android as well. How to Check iPhone StorageGo to Settings > General > iPhone Storage. Off load unused Apps and their data, delete mess
So I’m connected to my Sonos Move via bluetooth to my Macbook Pro (16-inch 2021 M1) on macOS Ventura 13.3.1(a). Playing music from either iTunes/Apple Music, VLC, Spotify. I hit pause to watch something on YouTube, but all audio is now muted. I then continue playing music, and by muting the music I can finally watch the YouTube-video. I’ve tested on another bluetooth speaker (Logitech Megaboom 3), and this issue does not occur there. So it seems like this is a bluetooth issue with Sonos.I’m gonna test if I get the same behaviour on my Windows-computer as well. Anyone else have this problem? I’ve seen this mentioned around the internet, but then related to other bluetooth audio products.
Can we please get separate Sub level settings between TV vs Music. Also why isn’t there a more extensive equalizer.
I’ve just purchased and set up a Beam Gen 2 to replace an old Samsung 2.1 system that finally began to kick the bucket. Even with just regular stereo content and no sub, it sounds much better with all kinds of media than the old Samsung. I’d love to make use of Dolby formats and even get surround sound set up (my fiancée and I both own Sonos Ones), but it seems my Panasonic TX-50DX750B television might be the weak link. There’s bothersome audio sync issues when playing Dolby Digital 5.1 content via Apple TV 4K or PS5 that aren’t resolved with the Sonos app offset. My TV’s got great picture quality, but only regular ARC, and the audio settings are incredibly limited. There’s not a single use of ‘passthrough’ in any of the menus; the closest option I can find is ‘HDMI Audio Format’. That only offers ‘Auto’, ‘Bitstream’ or ‘PCM’. From my research, it looks like my TV simply doesn’t handle processing DD fast enough for the Beam, and I might have to look into getting something like the HDFu
I’m looking to connect our old turntable (Technics SL-1200MK2) to our recently purchased Sonos Arc with Era 300 speakers. I’m going to purchase the port but am looing to see if anyone can share what preamps you have been using with Sonos. In my research, these 3 keep coming up:Cambridge Audio Alva Solo, UTurn Pluto 2, Rega Fono Mini A2D MKIIAlso the Schiit Mani continues to show up, but with very mixed reviewsI’d love to hear your feedack. Thanks
Sonos starts and stops only on XM reauthorized XM deleted and re-added the apps powered down and back on the whole system till starts and stops only on XM
I am going to be using a Sony STR-AZ7000ES receiver in a true 13.2 surround sound setup, with a Sonos port lined into 1 of the 3 @ 12V trigger inputs on the Sony. I mostly work in networking over that of A/V, but still do a ton of A/V work throughout the year. That said, sorry if this is a novice question, but what type of cable is used to connect the Sonos Port to respective input on the Sony receiver? It looks to me like it’s just a 3.5mm cable? Or is it something else? Thanks!
I followed the steps in this article and my Sonos system is now fully functional on a T-Mobile 5G Home Internet Wi-Fi network. I am running 4 One’s, 2 Five’s, 1 Amp, 1 Move and 1 Playbar. I believe the key was shutting all components off and then powering them up in RESET mode. This created a clean slate for connecting to the T-Mobile 5G Gateway.I just completed this today (Dec 10 2023) and will report back on stability over the next couple weeks.
Once you look around on-line and at support cases on the Sonos site, you will see that the Roam dies shortly after the warranty period. Once beyond the 12 month warranty period, Sonos says you are out of luck. It is an expensive paper weight. Don’t bother with support if you bought more than 12 months ago: This is what Sonos will tell you about the Roam. “I'm afraid that according to the information from our system, your Sonos Roam is out of warranty since MM/DD/YYYY. For this replacement, we can offer a 30% discount on the replacement unit since it is outside the warranty period. You will need to send your unit back to us, and we'll be sending you a coupon code you can use on sonos.com to get a product or set of speakers. Please, let me know if you want to proceed with this process. It will be a pleasure to help you.” So basically, it’s a product that dies with a poor quality power issue. Don’t buy the Roam. Other speakers are good, but stay away from the Roam
As far as I know this only started a couple of days ago after the last of our computers got their latest Sonos Controller for PC updates (to 15.9). We have been out of town for 2 months, and only have been back for the last week.ISSUE: volume drops to nothing from some of the grouped devices.REPRO STEPS:set a group (“main” device is Play 3 which has a wired connection remainder of devices are connected via wi-fi) play music from Spotify (have not been playing from many other sources, so cannot swear it doesn’t happen with other sources) This morning, I was playing for about 20 minutesRESULTS: no volume from most devices in the groupDIAGNOSTIC 2066897565NOTE:Devices are still seen as connected to the group Devices have a light showing they are connected Pressing volume up/down buttons on the devices with no volume is reflected in the Controller App UI Pressing pause and play buttons on the device with no volume pauses/restarts play on the devices that are still having volume in the grou
Happy Friday! I am hoping you can help me as this is driving me nuts :)I have a Sonance (BestBuy) 6.1 system setup and have 2 in ceiling speakers on the patio that are connected to my Yamaha receiver RX-A870 zone 2. I purchased a Sonos “port” per the recommendations of Sonos so i can use the sonos app to control my patio speakers and to “group” the patio speakers to the Sonance 6.1 system. I have connected my Sonos port Via Coaxial cable to my Yamaha receiver Coaxial Audio 3. I turned on Zone 2 and tried to get the patio speakers to play through the Sonos app with no luck. How do I get this all to work? Thank you so much
I use my Sonos system to listen to my Audible books. I have hundreds of books so I use the search extensively, however, today I tried to search for a book while in the Audible list and Audible is not included in the drop down search. So, it defaults to TuneIn and no results are found. When did this change? Is there a setting I am not seeing? I tried looking under Amazon Music but that is specifically music not Audible. Any help would be appreciated.
Doing normal connection from my Windows 7 and told that “Sonos 1 is not compatible with my system and I must update to Sonos2” The update fails because my system is not compatible with Sonos 2, (which is why I have never upgraded). Uninstalled everything and re-installed Sonos 1 from scratch. On opening, it again tells me that “Sonos 1 is not compatible with my system ….”. There is nowhere to go from here and no support available after 6:00pm in Queensland. Is my system a write-off?I am getting the same messages on my Android tablet and phone. Raymond
Save yourself some time and just uninstall Alexa from in my case just from one sonos 1 speaker and then re-install it using the app on your phone. Tried at least 20 write ups on what to do and none worked. I still can’t get the app on my pc to recognize this device and amazon alexa does not appear on the list of services that can be added.
