I needed a way to connect my turntable to my speakers and purchased a Connect Amp in 2015. After Sonos made it useless with a forced system upgrade I purchased an Amp in 2020 and was able to connect it to my wife's Sonos One. We moved last year and I recently tried to set it up again, but now Amp will not connect to Sonos One. Setup wants hard-wired speakers and only offers Sonos One as surrounds. Is this another software downgrade to force me to buy a new system?
Hvordan indstiller jeg mine SL højtalere til fabriksindstilling?
When I take a long vacation, I leave my Sonos speakers plugged in. Is that OK
As stated, a really annoying bug occurs constantly when rebooting my system. As the PC shuts down and reboots, I can hear the disconnect and connect chimes from the Move 2. However, no sound (YouTube videos, VLC music, games etc.) can be heard after logging into the windows account. Under windows sound settings, I can see that sound is being transmitted. Notably, the same behaviour does NOT occur if I hibernate the PC, instead of full shutdown/reboot. When I hibernate the PC, again I can hear the disconnect and reconnect chimes from Move 2 and the speaker works as expected. There are only two ways that I have found to fix this:1) Disconnect and remove the Move 2 from the system vie Windows Bluetooth settings and then repair the speaker with the windows PC.2) When the speaker is connected to the PC, go to Settings → Bluetooth&devices → Devices → More devices and printer settings → Move 2 (SONOS 4AC4) → properties → Services and un-tick all Bluetooth services (audio sink, iAP2 Server,
Close to giving up on my Sonos system and looking elsewhere for a replacement. The App is just not for purpose!! Failure in connecting to speakers, failure to respond to commands once connection achieved. Ludicrous reconnection rigmarole required every time I want to listen to music. I’ve had enough.
I wrote to Sonos customer service and was told to start a thread because that was the only way to get a change implemented – getting the community to ask for it back. I was told that otherwise, nothing will change. Please bring back lock screen controls to iPhone. The sonos app is slow and has bad user experience, it requires way too many clicks for EVERY thing. Taking the ability to skip songs and change volume from my phone away makes this product a lot worse. Please upvote if you’re having the same issue, as that seems to be the only way someone MIGHT listen to the feedback.
Bonjour,Il m'arrive de regarder des vidéos sur Youtube et j’aimerais bien pouvoir me servir de sonos comme relai son voix musique.
i have a Sonos Beam Gen 2, currently i have it connected directly to my Sky Q box, is that the best connection or should i connect to my HDMI ARC ?
Several months ago Google Assistant started responding “I didn’t understand” to commands in Google automation routines that were supposed to announce something on the initiating Sonos speaker. This bug is still present and I don’t think it was ever acknowledged or addressed by Sonos or Google. Only Sonos speakers are affected - all other Google Assistant speakers continue to perform this action just fine. Fortunately there was a workaround in the case of routines that are only ever used on the Sonos speaker: modify the routine to always make the announcement specifically on the Sonos speaker rather than “on the initiating speaker”.Today things got worse. Google Assistant on Sonos has started responding “I didn’t understand” even when the announcement in the routine is specifically sent to the Sonos speaker.I guess this is the next step in Google trying to put the screws to Sonos and Sonos trying to abandon Google Assistant?
I can’t say exactly when this started, but recently, I’ve noticed that the Sonos App no longer shows album cover art when listening to Sirius XM channels. When listening to Classic Vinyl, for example, the app shows a graphic for the channel, but it’s static and doesn’t change with the song. Artist and song name change as expected. The SiriusXM app, on the other hand does display the album art.Anyone else seeing this?
Hi,It was my wife’s bday yesterday and I she wanted a record player system. So I brought the Pro-Ject T1 Phono SB Turntable2 Room set with Era 100Sonos Line in AdapterI spent yesterday evening setting the system up while my wife excitedly went to get a number of albums from the record store. I think I spent just under $1000 which was a big chunk of money. As soon as I turn the record player on we get a massive hum. I have tried all the settings, unplugging and plugging the system. Probably around 3 hours of trouble shooting last night following posts and reviews. You can hardly hear the music on the speakers over the loud hum and it is very annoying.I’m now reaching out the community for help. I’m at my wits end and my wife was understandably very upset we didn’t get a differet record player and speaker set.Anything else I should try? I’ve tried attaching the grounding wire and this does not work or make a difference. I’ve tried multiple settings in the app leading to a very quiet hum w
Hi folks. my Dad has an old B&O Beomaster 901 amp and turntable. I’m hoping someone here might be able to advise how to get it playing through his Sonos Move and Beam 2. Does he need Sonos Amp, or Port? Or a different speaker? I’m attaching photos of the back of his amp to show what the inputs are. It’s from 1975 so pretty dated - still sounds great though! I’ve a feeling the speaker connections might be an issue. Any help much appreciated!
Hi All,Many posts of this issue, I brought a brand new ARC in December 2023 & the voice control (Alexa) randomly switches off, the work around works by disabling the button on the app but as others mention the sound control also stops I’ve contacted Sonos & they were willing to replace with a “Grade B” refurbishment which i was not happy with so contacted John Lewis who I purchased it from & they have replaced with brand new one.The new one arrived & exactly the same issue, anyone had theirs replaced & it works?
When are these people at Sonos going to listen to the literally thousands of people complain about the lack of dialogue with the Arc.It truly seems they don’t give a ****.Its all our problem in that we do t know what we’re talking about and our settings are incorrect!Id like to know how many people are actually happy with the Arc dialogue because it seems thousands arentI can’t do TruPlay as it continually says a speaker is missing even though you can clearly hear all speakers playing during the intitial sound test!Surely Sonos can make some type of dialogue adjustment in the App so it can be adjusted similar to bass and treble for example, it no, we don’t have a clue hat we’re talking about. Please listen to your customers and fix the F…ing problem.Im truly over itModerator Note: Modified in accordance with the Community Code of Conduct.
I have a Sonos Connect:Amp.it is about 7 years old.it has started to play up, cutting out frequently. This happens every three/four days.to fix this, I have to switch it off overnight after which it works fine again for a while.at the moment, I switch it off and pull the plug every night and all is fine.however, this is a new thing so not how unit should work.has anybody had anything similar?FYI if I play through Alexa at the same time there are no breaks in the music, which suggests to me it is not the Router or anything upstream.I begin to think the unit is overheating. Letting it “cool down” seems to be the fix.Any thoughts greatly appreciated!bob. Moderator edit: changed Sonos Amp to Sonos Connect:Amp for accuracy
We just managed to get the arc finally connected. Directions online don’t match….anyway, I really expected the sound to be much louder. It’s up ¾ of the way! Is there a setting we need to tweak? Seems like it shouldn’t be. TV is a smart Sony 85 inch - couple, three years old. Also does the light go off on it. Is that normal?
I want to buy a second hand Sonos One Gen 2. Please help me to check the warranty for Sonos One with sn: ******************** Many thanks in advance Moderation Edit: Recorded and removed SN.

Is it okay to connect two powered base speakers to the amp using a splitter on the amp's base output jack?

Today I attempted to mount a play 1 in my master bathroom. I recently ordered two long power cables for the Era speakers we have. I didn't think much about it until I discovered the cable end is completely different. Is there any logical reason for this or is it purely because they want you to spend more money on a different cable?
When listening to Sirius XM at regular volume levels, say 25 on a Sonos One, if I then switch to Apple Music IT IS SUPER LOUD AND I HAVE TO TURN IT DOWN TO LESS THAN HALF, AROUND 10 OR 11 AND THEN HAVE TO ADJUST EVERY SPEAKER IN THE HOUSE.Even setting it to volume 1 is too loud in some rooms. Is there a setting I can change to fix the level disparity between sources?
I have a connect amp that was working fine until today. Not sure which of my family members messed it up but I’m very confused what to do. It’s saying that the sound is coming out of my kitchen speakers but I’m still not hearing anything. Any help would be very appreciated!
Be it other peer integrators here in this Sonos community, or Sonos staff if they happen to look at this community page?Thanks!https://community.ui.com/questions/BEGGING-for-an-official-press-released-step-by-step-How-to-configure-Unifi-with-Sonos-from-Ubiquiti/4cfdba27-12f6-4237-b113-b338fa473ac8Is this correct that there’s no true way to foolproof 100% correctly configure Sonos on managed switch networks? Per the dated way of networking protocols in software wrting that Sonos does STP wise?
My wife asked me this question, which sent me on a mission:“In the Sonos app when I ‘heart’ a song on Spotify, where does it go?”The tooltip for the Heart icon says “Save to Your Music” - this is a total lie.Hearted songs in fact show up here:In the Sonos app they are under Spotify / Your Library / Songs In the Spotify web player they are under Liked Songs, which is a playlist In the Spotify iOS app they are under Your Library / Liked Songs
