I just bought a new Samsung Frame TV and I have it connected to a Sonos Ray soundbar via an optical audio cable. I also have 2 ceiling speakers in the TV room connected to an amp in my basement tithat I am unable to run a HDMI Arc directly from since it’s on the other side of the house. I was able to connect my Samsung TV remote to the Ray soundbar and can control the volume on that. I read that I wouldn’t be able to control the volume of my ceiling speakers connected to my amp with my TV remote since it’s wireless, but I just successfully did the remote control setup in the sonos app and connected it to my amp that runs the ceiling speakers in my TV room and it does in fact control the volume of the speakers. The only issue is, since I guess it controls it with IR, it only changes the volume on the amp when the remote is pointed directly at it, and since my tv is on the other side of the house, it doesn’t control the volume from the TV room.My question is, is there some sort of produc
Help! Spent several hours today trying to set up my two new ERA 100 speakers with my existing ARC system and Sub Mini, all playing through a big Samsung TV, with Pandora music in the daytime and evening news and a few streaming or network shows in the evening. I play Pandora music using the app on the Samsung, but the two ERA speakers would not respond with that approach--zero sound from the ERAs. The tech support person suggested using the Sonos app to access Pandora. That works, but that’s not how I want to access Pandora. Pandora has worked just fine using the Samsung TV remote until I added the ERA speakers. But it won’t work that way with the ERA speakers. My tech support person seemed as frustrated as I was. After nearly two hours working with her, I could see that we were getting nowhere by doing down the same paths over and over-with the same negative results. I suggested that she get with someone who could solve the problem which she promised to try to do. So I have
After having my WD My Cloud Home no longer work with Sonos, I need to add a new NAS to my setup, specifically for Sonos. Is there a list of compatible NAS options out there? Or is there something I should be looking for? I don’t have a lot of music, and could get by with 2TB to have plenty of room to spare, I just don’t know where to begin this search.
I recently got myself an era300 and really impressed. I am (sadly for my wallet) tempted to get another one and use as rears for my beam gen2 /sub mini setup and replace my era 100’s with 300’s. Anyone with a similar setup? My living room is quite small/mis sized for uk standards. 4.37x3.68m and i am already quite impressed with the current setup but there is so much praise out there about era300’s as rears and it’ll be a future investment for the next gen soundbar sonos will release? thoughts, experiences ?
I use Sonos mostly to access local files. The app told me today I’m going to need a NAS to do this in the future.i currently have around 16000 music files (and growing). My files currently live on my newish iMac (running Ventura).I’ve spent a frankly disgusting amount of time curating this collection. It means a lot to me is anyone would probably guess by just being here asking these questions. At a minimum, I would really appreciate a recommendation on a good Nas for someone in my situation. Particularly with the emphasis on doesn’t know what the F he’s doing. If anyone actually feels like giving me a little more information on best practices for bringing one of these things home, I would certainly appreciate it.
Before this latest version of LG’s TV OS...I had a Sonos Arc setup with my LG G2 and there was just one sound control and the TV’s speakers were not used. Now...the TV sends sound thru its speakers and the Sonos ARC. Is this expected? How can I make it so I can manage both sources thru the Sonos app? Am I missing something ?
My Sonos system was recently hacked or hijacked. One of my “rooms” in my house suddenly started playing head-banging music at highest volume. Appears to have been a song streamed from Spotify. I did not request this music, and did not recognize the song (full of explitives). When I tried to stop the song and turn down the volume, the song would restart and the volume control was sliding back to maximum. Clearly I was not in control of this device and service.I powered down my entire house AV system (modem, router, Sonos system, etc..). I also did strong-password update to modem, wireless access points, WiFi, Sonos, and Spotify.I’ve uploaded support diagnostic information to the community. Is Sonos aware of these invasive events?
I have an Era 300 that I enjoy. However, it’s missing something. Doesn’t have enough ooompf. The highs sometimes are too harsh to bright. I need some punch. Would it be better to buy another Era 300 or buy the mini sub to go along with current Era 300? Which is going to offer me the most accurate sound
I’m having trouble triyng to play music on my Sonos system through the Plex app, it works fine playing music located on my Plex library using the Sonos app but just won’t work the other way around. When I try to do so I get an error message like this in the picture, both on my sonos app for desktop and on the sonos app for iPhone. I’ve been talking to the Sonos call center for support and they tell me Sonos is no longer allowing Plex app to directly control the Sonos app, but can’t find anything related to this on the internet. Can anybody help? Any suggestion would be much appreciated.
Does anyone have experience connecting a TEAC TN-280BT (or similar TEAC equipment) turntable to a Sonos Move through bluetooth? Setting up the Sonos and using it has not been a problem so far, but it has so far proven to be impossible to “mate” them. Both the LP player and the Sonos come with their own instructions on how to connect to bluetooth devices, and i can not see that they are incompatible.
Has there been any talk of extending the firmware capabilities to allow for the “Move 2” speakers to be paired and used in a surround sound set up?
Hi there. I’m just wondering, if there is any chance of Arc gen.2 are coming this year.Thx.
Yesterday, I lost one symphonics speaker inside my home network. And during to try configuration this speaker, I lost all Sonos Speakers (7). My phone is an iPhone 13 with the last update. This my configAfter many hours and chat with someone on phone and she gave me advice to separate the WiFi frequency off the Internet box, that I did, I were llocked and with no possibility to reinstall the configuration. I should use Android phone and to iinstall the configure. After 3 hours, it's working good a new. But my topic is just to inform the problem with the apps who stay lock with old configure and couldn't install correctly the configuration, because it's search old system and can not arrive to associate speakers. Impossible to erase system and to reinstall a new, even on website. To try to reset on factory, don't change anything. When cut the power of the speakers, the apps search to install it again. After to have the config back, I try a new to reinstall on an ios, but nothing works
Our home theater resides in our Condominium living room. The system includes Beam Gen 2, 2 One Sl surrounds and 1 sun mini. We’ve seen multiple YouTube that recommend having 2 Sub’s and begs the question if the current S2 App can connect a 2nd Sub Mini?We opted away from the much larger Sub Gen 3 given its cost & our shared wall Condominium space.Thank you
I’ve had a Sonos + Alexa going on for a good time. It works normally quite well and most issues in recent few years have been about Alexa. Yeah, Sonos speakers tend to take the command (my outside speaker replies when I speak 20cm from my Kitchen Echo Show) that’s meant for devices with a display, but I’ve come to understand I should only execute commands and not really expect an answer, so that’s fine.. But I’ve noticed recently a growing problem of not finding what I want to play with the Sonos app. With Alexa I can just say “Alexa, play dreamy edm” and it chooses a channel and plays something. Surprisingly often it chooses right and I’m happy with whatever comes out of the speakers. But there are situations when I want to use the app instead of voice commands, say during past week Alexa has always stopped playing music after one song no matter what album playlist or station I ask it to play. With Sonos app, the playback continues fine. But with Sonos app I have to know exactly the n

Camb
Good morning.I'm in the process of building a house. and I want to build a home cinema. Should I wait for new sonos product launches in 2024?Will there be a possibility of Sonos making tower speakers one day?or with the new sonos2 app I can have the possibility of individually defining each place on my speakers, for example (1 pair of sonos one sl as surround another pair of sl as surround back, sonos amp and two tower speakers like monitor audio or triangle borea as left and right, sonos five as central speaker.....Thanks
Hello! There is a new Sonos Port in our office. The Sonos Port is located in the server cabinet, connected via an ethernet wire to the nearest switch. The network is new and the Internet is about 200 Mbps. There is only one subnet. There are no conflicts on the network. The network engineer confirmed it. I noticed a problem connecting to the Sonos Port with the new S2 version (updated). The updated Sonos Port (with S2) is not detected on the network. I tried to connect from my smartphone (Sonos S2 App), and also tried to find it from my computer (with Sonos S2). A long search for the device, eventually not to be found. Then I made a rollback (Downgrade) to the S1 version. After the rollback, the Sonos Port began to be detected normally on the network. In the previous version, an update message is intrusively coming out. Dear developers, please check this situation, it is necessary to fix the bug and optimize the new version of S2 for Port. Thank you!P.S. Please move the topic to Audio C
Hi, when are you launching headphones, EarPods etc… ?
Recently, the Sonos S2 Controller software fails to load on my Windows 11 laptop. It shows the splash logo but that just stays on the screen and gets no further. I can only close it via Task Manager. I have uninstalled Sonos, rebooted, downloaded the installer and installed it, but the same thing occurs. Any ideas? Perhaps a recent Windows Update has broken something?
hi everyone!i need some help/ advice on what is the best set up/arrnagements to use....i have my 65” tvtv, sonos beam 2 soundbar, sub and 2x one sl’s. recently added the sonos port through my pioneer mixing desk, for my technics sl1200mk 2’s turntables as i dont mind a bit of a mix with my vinyls..… whats annoying is that the tv has to be manually switched to the port setting on the app on my phone.., and voice control (morgan freemans annoying voice) wont respond poperly/consistently! i have my tv audio, and then line in/turntables. morgan and the app asks me everytime whether its ok the tv will be-muted when i play my decks (.. ergh,,duh.) and then has 2 sound systems for the port and lounge! why is this not simpler?? maybe im an idiot..but i just dropped 600 on the sonos port, just so i could use the sonos speaker system but this is getting embarrassing with the constant sound tech fails, and i swear if morgan says ‘ im listening… again- its driving me %^& miss-daisy-crazy… w
Please tell me why I can’t disable sound delay on the Sonos Port line input? Minimal settings is 0.75 sec. Why you cant add a zero settings? In some cases this is absolutely necessary. When I bought your product, I didn’t know that I couldn’t remove the sound delay. Moderator edit: changed output to input
It would be cool if the sub menu access for settings/bass/treble/balance/ & loudness was placed to the left empty spot next to previous track button eliminating the need to tap on the volume. Don’t know if it’s possible but it would be cool to see it in a future update.
