Similar to many users I lost connection to my music library which sits on a Laptop running windows 10. Also meant library disappeared on IPad and Phone. I read one suggestion that suggested taking the option to add the library from an NAS effectively tricking SONOS in to thinking the laptop is an NAS. I did this and after a bit of playing to get the path title right SONOS connected to my library. The library is now available on all my devices as before and working. Worth a try , better than waiting for the possible fix mid June or waiting 60 mins to talk to someone in SONOS support.I’m happy I can now play my music but think SONO’s performance in this upgrade is nothing short of scandalous.
I’m so disappointed!!!!!!!!!it is very frustrating to have a great system and now this. For all the reasons listed by EVERYONE !!! how can you not immediately not revert the app to the more stable version and apply a new fix? Planned on expanding a large system and I am losing faith for sure. I am considering going back to a Bose or wired system.
Hi guys, first post. I've owned a beam 2, sub mini and a pair of one xls for surround, for about 18 or so months now and I've never had any problems at all with the system. I've always had sky Internet and hub but this week I changed over to EE/ bt's Internet and hub and this is where my problems have started. I manage to find the beam xls and sub on the app but when I try to add them to a single room it creates multiple rooms with each product separate, it asks me which room I'd like to add each item to but when I select one room it just creates another one. It also takes a long time to find each speaker. It gives me the option to create a surround pair of xls but when I try I just get this message (picture attached) I've reset each speaker and I've also reset the app and the bt hub but it makes no difference at all, I've even turned off the 5g setting on my router but that turns my phone Internet WiFi off so I have to factory reset. I've connected the beam up with a ethernet cable a
Bug report-Speakers drop intermittently - app version is current and all speakers restarted within the last week. Appears to be playing in the app but no sound. In-app volume sliders disappear for speakers randomly. See photo. I must always look for the system on my network if I have joined a different system on another network. New thing in the current version of the app.
My Sonos Radio recently stopped working (all the other services work fine, on all 8 speakers)The APP says “Your Sonos Radio account access has expired” when I try and reauthorise it, it fails. it says “Couldn’t sign in” even though I am using my valid account Is there some way you recommend that I can have my account re-validated?
For some apps (Netflix, Disney plus, YouTube, etc) on my iPhone or iPad my Sonos roam when connected will play 2 seconds and then go quiet or not even play at all. What can I do to fix this?

So upgraded, absolutely useless! Loses speakers, playlists, connections, preferences. Wondering if Sonos have back ended an AI engine in to this update and wrecked it? any idea when an update will be coming? Thanks all.
I have updated to 16.1 and I have noticed a significant degradation in the bass of the Sonos Arc, and the dialogues feel a bit flat. I have performed Trueplay around 11 times in different ways, but it's the same, nothing changes. Additionally, my maximum volume for 5.1 movies and Atmos was around 65%, now I have to reach 75-80%. For horror movies where there are screams, it distorts the voices, which didn't happen before. For music, I now have to manage it at 80 or 90%, whereas before, 65 to 70% was more than enough; some songs were even too loud at 70%. I have factory reset the Sonos Arc and the Sub Gen 3, disconnected the HDMIs, changed cables and ports, but nothing works. Currently, my setup includes the Sonos Arc, Sonos Sub Gen 3, dual Sonos Era300 as surrounds, and Apple TV. I just spoke to Sonos support today, and they said it's normal, they can't do anything about it. Does anyone else have the same issue? What a disappointment that I can't revert to the previous firmware version
Hi all, just to let you know if can help, I’m testing the PureLink CSC200 adaptor to have Dolby Atmos on my Sonos Beam2 connected to an old Samsung TV that has only an ARC HDMI port and, using as input a Fire TV 4K, trough the adaptor I can reproduce correctly Dolby Atmos on Netflix and Disney+ at a third of the price of the HD Fury ARCANA. Really fantastic!!! 😁
Since the upgrade to Sonos 2 for Android, and regularly during the course of the day, the app drops the connection to my router and I have to reboot the router to regain the connection and be able to use the app. I have been a Sonos customer for 10 years and have 5 sonos speakers and a base unit in my home. Most are used frequently throughout today. The router I have is a Google mesh system and I did not have this problem prior to the upgrade to Sonos 2 for Android. Unfortunately, I've been unable to get through to Sonos telephone support to diagnose this problem. Any helpful suggestions would be much appreciated.
I have Eero as my router and after the update with Sonos it won’t connect without a speaker being connected with a Ethernet cable. How can I make it wireless like before
Hi all!Still getting used to the new app, and noticed something that is intriguing me:On previous app, if Trueplay was on, Sub Gen 3 phase was grayed out. In the new app , even white Trueplay on, Sub Gen 3 phase is not grayed out and it I possible to set to 0 or 180. Is this working as it is intended and Sonos changed this or is it needed to perform a new Trueplay calibration ?
Play 1. Will not connect to BT network, when Sonos Beam in same house, has connected fine to same network. Using same Sonos app that I've set up the Beam successfully, I've reset to factory settings four times (holding the pause button until orange light flashes,). It goes into set up mode no probs. The app communicates with the Play 1 via the temporary network, it then gets to adding the password for the BT router, but despite trying 5 times by entering the correct password, it will not connect. I've plugged in an ethernet cable direct to the router, and it doesn't recognise it either. As well as factory reset, I've powered down the Play 1 four times, I've also re-booted the router too.
HelloSome have reported charging issues with PD certified chargers for the Sonos Ace Headphones. Please be advised that the Ace headset is not malfunctioning. There is a compatibility issue with certain PD certified chargers. Sonos Tech Support informed me that they are aware of the incompatibility and are looking at possible remedies. IMO that means that not all PD certified chargers will be included in a fix. However, per Sonos Tech Support; any charger purchased should be at least 15 Watts and there is no ceiling on the maximum wattage.I’ve already been through a (hit n’ miss) PD certified charger selection process. When playing songs in the Sonos App, there is a red heart mark on the playback interface of QQ Music, NetEase Cloud Music, and Spotify. Click it to add the song to your favorites. The most important thing is that it can be synchronized with the playlists in the apps of each music platform, which is very convenient. However, when playing Apple Music songs in the Sonos App, there is no red heart mark. If you want to add a song to your favorites, you can only add it to the Sonos App, and it cannot be synchronized with the playlist in the Apple Music Appp. It is very inconvenient. I hope it will be improved!
I’m about to buy a pair of Era 300 speakers to replace my One SL’s as surround for my setup. However, as I was cleaning my One SL’s last night, I discovered cracks on both of the speakers near the top side edges. This had me really worried because my old Play 1’s bought in 2017 had developed these cracks after 5 years, and they started peeling and tiny pieces breaking off eventually. The One SL’s are less than 2 years old. I then searched the internet and found a lot of people are having similar issues with all kinds of Sonos products including the Era100s which just came out last year. Sonos really needs to do something to address this issue. There’s a nice Father’s Day deal for the Era 300 right now, but I don’t think I would risk investing further in Sonos products, not until this is addressed.P.S attached a pic of one of my Play 1’s; you can see that there’re some holes now on the top after all the peeling and breaking off.
HelloLots of chatter (if you can call it that) about the Sonos App. I need not go into detail as to what the general consensus is about it. However that’s not what this post is about. Moving on….Let’s talk Sonos Ace Headphones. Many are disappointed because they cannot be used as a room in the Sonos ecosystem and therefore view them mainly as expensive me-to Bluetooth cans.Below are links to three (3) first impression videos. Take a look. You may find reasons to try them on a trial basis (or not). I just received a Sonos Move. I went through setup. I checked my router app and the Move is connected with a strong signal. But is not showing up in the Sonos app.
Maybe it's time to curtail the music library complaints and accept where the controller app is headed. My guess as to the near-future Sonos preferred customer implementation:A mobile device with bluetooth capability A streaming service on the mobile device A robust Sonos controller app on the device Sonos brand output devices (headphones or portable speakers)There will be a steady roll out of improved and expanded capabilities of the app and the devices and the preferred customer will be a trend-motivated early adopter of the latest consumer tech gadgets who doesn't mind owning previously purchased products that have been discontinued and subsequently unsupported.Just my guess.
Hear is a suggestion for the powers that be surrounding the ace headphones integrating into the ecosystem. Why not use a base station for the headphones. The base station connects to the Sonos system with WiFi. The headphones connect to the base station by Bluetooth. The base station is plugged into power and acts as a headphone stand that charges the headphones when hanging on it. Problem solved. Maybe sell this base station as an accessory. What do you think?
Hi. I used to have a Denon/B&W setup, and mostly used “Multi Channel Stereo” setting (stereo output in front and back speakers). I have Arc, 2x One and Sub. To achieve the same with Sonos, I have to :1. Setup the two back speakers (One) as stereo pair2. Start audio output from TV (ARC)3. Add them to the TV-outputIt would have been nice to be able to choose if the setup should be bundled as surround or multi-channel-stereo.
LiveOne is my main music streaming service and it no longer works with the new app.I can access LiveOne through the Sonos app, and can see station selections and favorites, but when choosing to play a station, a message appears “something went wrong”. I already tried disconnecting the LiveOne service and reconnecting, reauthorizing, uninstalling and reinstalling the LiveOne app, etc. Please fix this, you have taken away my music!
Upgraded to the new app and saw that the dual mono option was removed. This is a big deal. When will it be added? you still advertise that you can do dual mono and stereo. i now have 2 speakers giving me left channel on one side of the house and a speaker on my patio only giving right. Wtf
