It’s like traveling backwards…...now, once again, getting “access denied” errors whenever I try to play from my server. I thought we were done with this. I can’t believe I, once again, have a useless system. This is such hot garbage.Moderator Note: Modified in accordance with the Community Code of Conduct.
I have a suggestion for great balanced sound when listening to music and it would be helpful when listening to TV as well. I normally sit on a sofa along the back wall facing the Arc Ultra on the front wall, with two Era 300’s just behind the sofa along the left and right walls, and two subwoofers behind each sofa arranged in an L pattern. I prefer to sit on either end of the sofa with the armrest which is closest to one of the surround speakers. The surround audio tv and music levels are set to -15 to try to get sound away from the surrounds and towards the Arc. All I cannot hear is music from either the left or right Era 300, which overpowers the Arc Ultra. I hear nothing from the Arc Ultra unless I get up and walk towards the front of the room. The solution would be to put a graphic joystick in the Sonos app, which would allow you to balance the sound anywhere in the room relative to where you are sitting. If you want to see what that looks like, test drive a Tesla and go to audio se

Imagine if you could EVEN order your playlists? I mean, it's gotten to the point, where what IS the point of having great sounding speakers through out the house...when the controller of the music you can play is awful. Remember using the alphabet? Imagine if you could organize your music like cd’s or records of yore. Or, at least, imagine if it was more compatible with the dynamic players who on the flip side don’t have speakers. Like Soundcloud, or Spotify or Tidal. It’s like, hit play, and guess what will come out, guess which speakers will connect on any given day...because there is no control. Why oh why won’t Sonos build interface that is respectful of music and music listeners? Please????
Arc won’t unmute after Apple TV remote mutes the volume
puis je dans un premier temps combiner, mon arc ultra mon mini caisson, a une seule era300 pour un effet virtuel (je sais qu’il n’y aira pas de stéréo, attendant la deuxième financièrement parlant merci
First issue you don't have a category for Beam 2 on you user group signup!Second issue, I have my TV mounted on an arm so that I can move it, and I can't find a speaker mount that fits the Beam 2, and ideas?Beginning to regret buying Beam 2 - I have purchased and returned SANUS and other brands, they claim to to have a universal bracket but it doesn't fit. a and SANUS support is appalling' nah sorry non-existent.
A couple weeks ago after a firmware update, my Arc stopped communicating with the ERA100 surrounds. After a few days of hoping the problem would correct itself, no such luck. The error was “not connected’ for the surrounds. After trying several simple fixes (reboot, etc.) I ended up resetting the surrounds to factory. The Arc was working normally so I didn’t do anything to it.After a number of failures with the same result, I called tech (non)support. Their analysis of the diagnostics was that the surrounds weren’t getting an ip address. We have a commercial grade infrastructure with a central dhcp server and multiple Aruba access points. The subnet is 255.255.0.0. The Arc is 10.11.190.x and the surrounds are 10.11.187.x, which are in the same subnet. The next step they want is a “complete network layout or network map. Including the make and the model of router.” For security, I hesitate to give such total information to anybody. So next, I took the surround additions step by step. Af
I would like to be able to set the volume of certain rooms (that have an amp with external volume control) to a higher (or lower) initial volume. In the living room I have to either turn my external amp way up when selecting Sonos as input (and remember!!! to turn it down when switching input so the tv input don't blow the speakers) or when grouping rooms turn that one room all the way up in Sonos). I like the rooms to be the same volume across inside Sonos so they all reflect the actually volume level. So basically adjusting the delta volume per device when set to variable line out. I have not found a way to achieve this yet.
So I been having this issue where Spotify will not play properly it will skip or stutter ect continually, I have contacted support and told its WiFi issues, then something else and now this see below, so my question is When will this is be resolved?
Just for fun I made an almost lp size pixelated album art display that is Sonos compatible. Has several modes to alternate between art and title/artist views.
Some of my Sonos speakers don’t show volume sliders in the app and it’s driving me crazy. Audio plays fine and grouping works, but I can’t control volume for some of my speakers. It always ends up that one volume slider remains, while the rest disappear. And this on al my devices, they even show the same volume sliders grayed out. What I’ve already tried: All speakers are on the same 5GHz network, same AP Disabled AP isolation, client isolation - no change Turned off WiFi band steering - no change Played with IGMP snooping settings on my switches - still broken No multicast rate limiting configured Speakers have static IPs assigned Wireshark shows that all speakers are communicating, on both IGMP and SSDP. Even the ones that don’t show the volume sliders. The only thing that works is restarting my router, but even then the problem always returns. Running TP-Link Omada AP, Router and Switches.Anything else that i could try to resolve this issue? Talked to support on the phone a
I am repeating a topic as posted below and in many other threads. It seems that Sonos have not fixed it. All software updates have been done on my side and yet it still does not work. Is there any danger that Sonos might actually care about their customers? I found this “closed” topic about Sonos group doesn't work for Airplay.Dgroups no longer working when playing over AirPlaySonos acknowledged that it is a reproducible problem. Yet eight months later, I am still experiencing the exact same problem. I hope that Sonos understands that closing the topic doesn't mean the problem is solved. You actually need to fix your bug.
Bonjour j ai une playbar avec une sortie optique et mon téléviseur n’a que des prises hdmi . J ai acheté un adaptateur sons optique -hdmi et ça ne fonctionne pas . Une solution svp ? Moderator Edit:Google Translate-Hello, I have a Playbar with an optical output, but my TV only has HDMI ports. I bought an optical-to-HDMI audio adapter, but it doesn't work. Any solutions, please?
All rooms/products show “no content”. Have tried rebooting each product, unsuccesfully. This has happened several times in the last 2 weeks. I installed a new Arc Ultra 2 weeks ago, unsure if this is related. Sonos support reset my system yesterday and it worked for a few hours and then returned to the no content status.
if I’m playing my 2 x era 100s and era 300 and try to add my playbar (with sub and surrounds) it shows as connected but no sound. I’ve reset everything more than once and it keeps happening. S2 app.also, the app takes ages (several minutes) to find all devices.
Hello forum, my 15+ year old Beolab 8000 speakers (active/built in amps) are still excellent as is the 10+ year old Sonos Connect (1st gen) - however, since I moved the system the BeoLabs are constantly switching on/off intermittently even though the Connect is not activated, This is a new phenomenon since a year or so. I checked cables (very simple RCA type, worked for many years), moving the Connect around and also that the plugs are firmly in their sockets - any ideas are highly appreciated.
Great quality until an update in 2025 that made speakers randomly pop. Tried all the things to help but still happens. Never ever purchase a product from this company.
I have issues with the sound sync on a certain channel (TV4) in Sweden when I have my Sonos system connected to my TV (Samsung S90D). The problem is quite random and will usually appear after the commercial break. If I change channel and go back again the problem will disappear. I have tried to use both Ethernet and WiFi connected to the Arc Ultra with a good connection but it is the same both ways. If I disconnect the HDMI cable from the sound system everything seems to be okay again. I have changed the sync settings in the software but the problem will remain. Any idea what can cause this sync issue?
This is an ongoing issue where certain CBC Music regional stations disappear and are not accessible. I submitted questions here a year ago and contacted support. Recently tried SONOS Support again and they confirmed the issue …“Indeed, I can see here that only Central, Mountain and Pacific are available at the moment and the ones you mentioned are not working. So, it seems to be a general issue. I can report it forward to our team so that they can investigate however I cannot provide an exact timeframe for a solution as we don't know if it's an issue with our service or from CBC's side.”They also said they did not have a way of keeping me informed of progress so my issue has kind gone into a black hole. But if others here are having the same issue (still) reporting to SONOS Support might help prioritize a solution.Trying to connect from “Recently Played”
I have just moved into our new house and I cannot connect any of our speakers to the new modem
I am considering small upgrade of Sonos system to enable flac quality, specifically via Qabuz app, Will a beam and play 1 x2 set up play FLAC quality? Are Era 100 required in combination with beam for surround sound flac quality? Also, can I include current play 1 speakers x 4 in same system in 2 separate rooms?
My iPhone app will not locate a song I know is in my library. I can go to it via artist or album. But this involves knowing what track is on which album. The PC app goes straight to the song. I’ve tried reindexing from my phone but no joy. Any ideas gratefully received.
HiI’m wondering, how do I get the Sonos Five to not go on standby on line in? The default behavior is that the Sonos stops playing within 30 seconds or so if it doesn’t detect a signal. However, getting out of standby takes a good 2-5 seconds. I’m using the Five pair as computer speakers and it is incredibly annoying to use them on video calls because the speaker keeps going on standby and I miss the first 2-3 seconds every time the other person talks. I’ve found that if I go to “Your Sources” → line-in → select Sonos Five, then it would avoid going on standby for longer, maybe an hour? But then it goes on standby again, and I have to do this again. How do I stop the speaker from going on standby? I want it to be always on so I never miss the first few seconds of audio whenever I play something. Thanks
