Today I’ve upgraded my two Sonos Ones with Sonos Era 100s. After adding Alexa to the speakers, I tried to go into the Alexa app to associate them with their respective rooms. I’m able to add them as the room speaker, but I am unable to set them as the Alexa device for that room (allowing for room-specific commands like “Alexa, turn off the lights”, etc). What’s weird is my Era 100s will show up under the Echo & Alexa devices section in the Alexa app, but they do not show up under Alexa-enabled devices when editing a room/group (see attached screenshots).I’ve reached out to Alexa support and they were largely unhelpful, they claimed that from their resources Alexa isn’t supported on the Sonos Era 100 (maybe their documentation hasn’t been updated since this is a brand new product?). So they left the conversation there even after showing them that Sonos clearly states Alexa built-in support for the Era 100.Has anyone else experienced this issue? Seems like a bug in the Alexa app, and
Is anyone having trouble seeing music services on the new app? I can't authorize Apple Music. Anyone else having trouble?
Because Sonos has never solved the 913 Error Problem on my Mac, I followed the workaround to make the app think the volume was a networked device. Things were working OK until today when I downloaded the latest update to Sonos. Now when I select Album, Sonos list many copies of each album, BUT all of them are empty and include no songs making albums unplayable.
I’m currently using an iMac with macOS Sonoma 14.4.1 with four Sonos Play 1 speakers using Sonos OS S2 version 16.2. After updating, the path to my Music folder no longer appears in the Sonos Music Library Settings nor am I able to reconnect to the Music folder:When I try the “Advanced” method, I get this - note that the Music Library folder is faded and cannot be selected. After chatting with a Sonos Support Tech they confirmed that the access to the Mac’s Music Library was removed from the app and while Sonos has been made aware of the problem there is no estimated date as to when access will be restored. I now have a nice collection of Sonos paper weights.Any other Mac users find the same thing?
I don’t want to turn my TV on to play music.I thought Sonos was the holy grail - the fancy sound bar that would work with my TV and also be available for Airplay. The sound for TV is good. Don’t need subtitles nearly as much. The bass is sufficient for most things. The spacial quality and clarity do not disappoint. I’ve seen the other posts about airplay problems, and yes, if I reboot everything in the right sequence, remove and re-add the device, poke a doll with pins then my beam shows back up. I don’t have to turn on my TV to listen to music.Just not exactly the “effortless” experience I was advertised.I have other devices on the same WiFi, some LG, others Apple, others open source stuff running on a raspberry pi, and they all show up as Airplay targets. Which makes me think it’s not a general problem with my wifi configuration. It’s most likely a software bug on the Beam. 😞
I have been on the phone to sonos now for 1 hour 15 minutes and they told me the wait maybe 50 minutes. Since their new app etc my set up is not working. I have sonos playbar, sonos sub and 2 sonos 1’s. They worked perfectly fine and now do not want to connect. It connects the sonos play bar and then says it may not show up and restart but no luck. I connected it with network cable and it worked but the sub etc won’t connect. I honestly don’t know what to do anymore.
… but when project management fails, release management is a disaster and crisis management is simply non-existent, then the CEO is called upon - but where is he? Sitting out problems has always been the worst strategy. Now it should be up to the Board of Directors ...
This is perhaps the most pathetic error message from Sonos.
Arc + Sub 3 + 2 SL OnesJust above my head are two Klipsch in walls with 8” speakers + tweeters. Wiring is in place and tested by me. I want to upgrade my surrounds. I can buy a Sonos amp and connect the Klipsch speakers or purchase a pair of Era 100s. Or I can wait until fall and hope for a surround-improved Era 300. Or…? I am interested in hearing opinions from those who have upgraded from the Ones, what paths were chosen and how the process worked out.
my sonos speaker is connected but not playing

Just installed the iPad version. Definitely do not like the app compared to the old one.The new app feels way more busier, due to everything being thrown at you at once (which was their design intention). I’m not saying this approach can’t work though. I’m just saying that the way they designed it, it doesn’t feel right. In terms of the look and feel, it feels less stylish to me and more cheap. Like it feels like I’m using the Amazon Alexa app (which I hate). The album covers are smaller and not as pronounced, compared to the previous apps recents area. And the Now Playing screen on the iPad?! Like WTF? Why is there a gap around it showing the interface area behind it (ie Home area)? Why isn’t it full screen (and without rounded corners)? Makes zero design sense, as it’s super distracting, only adding to the busy feeling of the screen. Also see no option to make the app dark instead of light. All said and done, this just makes me want to not use the app at all, unless there are substantia
First let me say I’m enjoying my Ace headsets. Yes, headsets...I have two as I have Arc’s upstairs and downstairs and I’m lazy 😂To the purpose of my post. I wear eyeglasses with arms of varying widths. You may find that eyeglasses with arms as shown in Pic I provide a better seal for noise cancellation than those eyeglasses with arms of a wider width as shown in Pic II. Before the naysayers chime in to add “there’s another reason not to buy the Sonos Ace” know that the Apple Pro Max’s (of which I have a set) share the same sealing details in regards to this post.FYI, the Ace received another update within the last week or so. I have no idea what the update was for. However, Sonos is moving forward to continually improve its products in spite of dealing with App issues (which incidentally may be part of the planned improvements/fixes).That said...Enjoy your Ace!Pic I Pic II
Update available today. Installed on first pass for the first time in a long time. Forced to re-do Trueplay and EQ related settings for main room surround setup, the only speakers that regularly use Trueplay. Was hoping for an accompanying Ace firmware but no luck.
I have a 17 device setup and have extensive 300+ song playlists on YouTube Music. They're leftover from the days when Google Play Music worked flawlessly with direct casting to Sonos, pre lawsuit days.Until recently everything worked fine, but today I noticed that the playlists are limited to top 100 songs, the rest do not show up!I deleted the service, reauthorized it, only to run into the same issue.Any advice of how to fix this?
I literally can’t use my Sonos system now without drops and stutters. I see several convos talking about this, asking for a rollback. Seems to be some advice on how to do it manually, but others saying it won’t work.If anyone has managed to do it, please post here?
I recently got my SONOS Ace’s a couple of weeks ago and I am absolutely loving them. I mostly use them in my shared office space due to the dual connectivity between my phone and PC. Unfortunately, it sounds like the sound from my headphones are “leaking” so loudly that someone on the opposite side of the office can make out what song I am listening to! It’s a shame because I really wanted to have the full listening experience of my headphones but I need to now think about how loud I am putting them.SONOS Ace product page - “Personal listening perfected”Otherwise I am really happy with them but this is a real stickler
Hola muchos saludos. Eliminar t

From the look of it apple will update airplay2 soon and we will be able to get dolby atmos from airplay2! https://www.digitaltrends.com/home-theater/spatial-audio-airplay-dolby-atmos/?amp this means i guess we can dolby atmos music without relying on sonosnapp? No pun intended, for my spotify or general music playing i almost go to airplay2 by default maybe because it’s an old habit. what do you guys thinl?
Hey all, I have looked at everything I can about Ubiquiti and Sonos, but continue to run into issues. Here is my setup: Sonos AMP hardwired to a USW-Lite 16 PoE into a USW-24-POE- into a Dream Machine. I have everything set to STP. I am able to get an IP address to the Sonos and it shows up in the topology map. When I try to configure the AMP, I get to the point where it says push the connect button on the back and it just never responds. I set up a different very dumb network and did the same thing and had no issues so obviously the ubiquity is the problem but I don’t know where to go from here. Can any of you advise?
Hello,I have this open kitchen/ l living room area, as visualized in this image: Yes… I know... only one simple Sonos One mounted near the ceiling on small piece of wall next to the kitchen wall.My goal is to upgrade this place, keeping the focus on music listening. The kitchen area is where we are the most while listening. Let me take you through the journey in my mind so farEra:100 has line in! Ideal for my project-T vinyl record player (that I can connect to the Sonos setup). It will fit perfect on the vinyl table. Maybe better switch my Sonos one with another era:100 as well for some pairing? I hear good things about stereo pairing, they even “challenge” a good pair of era:100 with single devices like era:300s Hmm, the era:300 has line in as well. It is made for larger rooms, and might do the room more justice than the era:100 series. It has enough breathing room when I put it on the vinyl table (see picture). It looks like this thing was made to fill a room with sound, exactly wha
This Mesh Networking information is provided only to (possibly) explain why Sonos products may not be showing in the app and/or they continually appear, dis-appear, and re-appear in a continuous cycle. If you want to discuss missing features in the app please look to other posts with your comments/questions as there are many already dedicated to that subject. Let’s begin...A Mesh system/network operates as a cohesive unit. The components are called Nodes. For this post we’ll designate them as follows:Main Router Satellites (there may be 1, 2, or 3)All components help extend the WIFI signal across the environment. The Main Router is the only component that should have DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol) capability. DHCP is the process of assigning IP Address to products on a network. The Satellites on a Mesh (even if they themselves can act as a router) should not have DHCP capability. They should receive their IP Address from the Main Router.FYI…The Main Router communicates with t
I've had a customer's system up and running for over 2 years. We've had problems all along, but nothing like now. The new app will not recognize the existing devices in the app for device selection, however, it sees them in the About System/Sonos System Info section. Even after a complete system reset and new setup, it showed the system for about 5 seconds, then dropped it again. I have spent no less that 15 hours troubleshooting Sonos issues that are due to this new app without compensation, since this is neither my fault or my customer's fault. I've been a Sonos System provider for over 15 years and this is by far the most unreliable and frustrating experience I've ever encountered. With products from Denon/Marantz and others making their way into this realm, and the crazy price increases over the past two years, I would expect more from Sonos. Shame on you for causing these issues, not supporting your custom AV dealers (financially), and not owning up to it when called out for said
