My Sonos system (Bridge & Play 3) has been working flawlessly for years up until about 2 months ago. Now when I try to use my system, my phone, laptop, tablet, and home computer suddenly can't find the system. Rebooting the system does not fix this issue. Instead I have to reboot the system, then re-attach my controller devices to the bridge. The system will then work for a day or two and then this process repeats all over again.
When I navigate to a music service (apple music, plex, spotify, tunein, all of 'em!) I ge unable to browse music, there was a problem connecting to... I had been able to fix this previously by removing my firewall from the first in the list of resolvers but I'm getting same issue again now. Manually removing my IPv6 resolvers seems to fix the issue but they are last on my resolver list. Do you have an IPv6 issue Sonos or am I doing something daft?
Does adding a boost to an existing sonos setup automatically create the required network for the speakers? Thanks
A friend just set up Sonos at their home with 4 play ones. Should I not be able to play my music from my app when at their home?
Spotify Connect was just announced and I was surprised that I didn't see Sonos in the list of companies that would provide support. Many Spotify users have been asking for a long time to be able to use the Spotify app as the controller for selecting songs, as it provides a superior experience (you still can't even see the Top 5 songs in the Spotify view within the Sonos app, and it is difficult to look through an artist's collection to find a specific song unless you know which album it was in). Please support spotify connect. Additional details on Spotify Connect are here: http://www.theverge.com/2013/9/3/4688166/spotify-connect-launches-to-stream-music-to-compatible-speakers If you look at the post on theverge, even the first comment was one asking for Sonos support for the feature.
I would like to be able to play anything on my phone (using the phone's app) and have it play on SONOS. SONOS doesn't have Audible support or YouTube support. This would not be a problem if I could just share my phone's sound (using native Audible and YouTube app functionality) like how bluetooth works. Even for apps where SONOS does have their own version (like Spotify) The SONOS version of the Spotify app has a lot less functionality than the Spotify app on my phone.
Now while its great to see that Spotify radio is going to make it into the Controller app, having used Spotify for a few weeks now on my Sonos system i think Sonos need to go a step further. In effect i think that the spotify app, for ipad for instance needs full integration into the Sonos system (as it does for Napseter etc) What ive found annoying to date is that if im playing a tune on my Sonos system that i like, i then have to go to the Spotify app, search, and find that tune, then click on the star button for example so that its added to my Sonos Controller. That kind of functionality should be included by default.
I started the betaprogram. After that I was asked tot update. Since that moment I recieve the error 9 (I can not add music services, etc .....)
my mother in law has one play one and a connect, she has some how has named it twice! how do you remove one
Will someone please assist us with error code 9. Call demand is so great it take an eternity to get through
Currently, the alarm will play through the selected music once then stop, regardless of how long it's been playing and how long the alarm duration is set for. There should be an option to loop the music until the set duration has been reached.
Hello, Does anyone have any idea when the Amazon Echo Dot and the Sonos will be compatible? Also, when it does become compatible will I be able to play my Apple Music Library? Thanks!
I frequently group sets of rooms together but each time I want to change things I have to do the dance of selecting and unselecting rooms. It would be much easier to be able to group rooms ahead of time and select those groups.
I think the Sonos team should immediately start writing an API and connector to interact with Amazon Alexa and other products of it's nature. Essential to the future of Sonos' business...
Hey guys, please tell me you are going to or have already started working on a control for Sonos from the apple watch, I use my iPhone or iPad all the time but a watch control would be awesome.
As it seems that Sonos goes out and gets meta data for songs in the Library, is it possible to have a "kid friendly" setting to filter out songs that are known to have explicit lyrics.
HI, Is there a way to snooze an alarm from the iphone app in the same way you can from the controllers? Thanks!
I currently have 3 Play 5's in the house (Master Bedroom, Kitchen, & Garage). They work great and I'm finally home to enjoy them since I work out of town 9-10 months out of the year. The new user interface is much better than the old but I still need to get used to it. Anyways...on to the issue. the ALARM. In the Master Bedroom I have the alarm set to wake up and a certain time every day of the week to the Sonos chime. The Sonos Chime is nice and I like the way it gradually gets louder. However my big complaint is that: 1) You can't turn it off from you iPad, iPhone, etc? At least no where I've seen. 2) Where is the Snooze button? Nothing pops up on the screen of your iPhone/iPad to let you know to snooze or turn it off. I don't understand why this isn't part of the ALARM feature. 3) You have to get up to turn it off at the Play 5 by hitting the MUTE button, which does turn it off but if you hit the MUTE button again...music starts to play. At this time it appears to
I have a Playbar and Sub and am very happy with them. I thought of buying a Play 1 to have on my bedside table to effectively replace my clock radio. However, there is no clock or workable alarm, snooze or volume control post alarm with the current Sonos set up. My idea is to include within the Sonos App the ability to have a digital clock displayed when chosen that can stay open when the iPhone is on a dock so this can be displayed overnight. There are various alarm clock Apps on the market that offer this. When the alarm goes off there could be a snooze and volume control on the screen of the open Sonos App that could be easily accessed by the user. This would then allow the user to have a fully functional alarm clock solution using the Sonos App and speaker/s. Thoughts??
Quick question. How do I get TruePlay in m Room Settings menu? I do not have it in display yet I have an updated controller app.
I have been a member of the Beta program, but as I cannot add a music service (Amazon music) I have un-enrolled from the Beta Program. However, I am unable to delete the controller from my iPhone. I have deleted the app and then downloaded from the App store. But, when I open the App, it is still showing I am on the beta release. Any ideas?
Can not get CR100 to connect to my existing system - I have a bridge hooked up directly to my router and everything else is just plugged into the wall - I have a couple play 3s, sound bar, sub, couple of play 1s - About my Sonos shows WM:0 - when I push the arrows on my bridge while the CR100 is in pairing mode it acts like it is trying connect but then tells me it was unable to connect. Please try again (1) - I have turned off the cr100 and recycled it - same thing happens - please help - I am using a Mac - all of my other controllers (ipad and CR200) work
I have just moved into a new house and got a new ISP. I had to set up my play 1 and 3 as a new system. Got that set up, however it keeps asking me to update the system on the app and I keep getting "Error code 9" and I am unable to add any music services (spotify soundcloud etc) or set up so I can access my music library on my NAS drive. I was on the beta program and also left it to try it. Still got the same message. I now have 2 systems set up but can only listen to whats on my phone which is pretty useless. thanks in advance for helping
Is there anything out there that will register on my iTunes play count everytime i play a song through Sonos using a mac? Thanks
In the Sonos App (iOS) I'm not able to find how to change the sound settings in the app. It used to be you could hit settings --> Room Settings then have the option to update surround settings, bass and audio settings, etc. I'm not able to find that anywhere. Any help would be great! I was watching a show on Netflix last night and the surround settings inside the movie were really poor and I wasn't able to turn down the surround like I used to be able to. Very frustrating.
