Controllers and Music services

Hey guys, please tell me you are going to or have already started working on a control for Sonos from the apple watch, I use my iPhone or iPad all the time but a watch control would be awesome.

As it seems that Sonos goes out and gets meta data for songs in the Library, is it possible to have a "kid friendly" setting to filter out songs that are known to have explicit lyrics.

I currently have 3 Play 5's in the house (Master Bedroom, Kitchen, & Garage). They work great and I'm finally home to enjoy them since I work out of town 9-10 months out of the year. The new user interface is much better than the old but I still need to get used to it. Anyways...on to the issue. the ALARM. In the Master Bedroom I have the alarm set to wake up and a certain time every day of the week to the Sonos chime. The Sonos Chime is nice and I like the way it gradually gets louder. However my big complaint is that: 1) You can't turn it off from you iPad, iPhone, etc? At least no where I've seen. 2) Where is the Snooze button? Nothing pops up on the screen of your iPhone/iPad to let you know to snooze or turn it off. I don't understand why this isn't part of the ALARM feature. 3) You have to get up to turn it off at the Play 5 by hitting the MUTE button, which does turn it off but if you hit the MUTE button again...music starts to play. I have a Playbar and Sub and am very happy with them. I thought of buying a Play 1 to have on my bedside table to effectively replace my clock radio. However, there is no clock or workable alarm, snooze or volume control post alarm with the current Sonos set up. My idea is to include within the Sonos App the ability to have a digital clock displayed when chosen that can stay open when the iPhone is on a dock so this can be displayed overnight. There are various alarm clock Apps on the market that offer this. When the alarm goes off there could be a snooze and volume control on the screen of the open Sonos App that could be easily accessed by the user. This would then allow the user to have a fully functional alarm clock solution using the Sonos App and speaker/s. Thoughts??

Quick question. How do I get TruePlay in m Room Settings menu? I do not have it in display yet I have an updated controller app.

I have been a member of the Beta program, but as I cannot add a music service (Amazon music) I have un-enrolled from the Beta Program. However, I am unable to delete the controller from my iPhone. I have deleted the app and then downloaded from the App store. But, when I open the App, it is still showing I am on the beta release. Any ideas?

Can not get CR100 to connect to my existing system - I have a bridge hooked up directly to my router and everything else is just plugged into the wall - I have a couple play 3s, sound bar, sub, couple of play 1s - About my Sonos shows WM:0 - when I push the arrows on my bridge while the CR100 is in pairing mode it acts like it is trying connect but then tells me it was unable to connect.  Please try again (1) - I have turned off the cr100 and recycled it - same thing happens - please help - I am using a Mac - all of my other controllers (ipad and CR200) work

I have just moved into a new house and got a new ISP. I had to set up my play 1 and 3 as a new system. Got that set up, however it keeps asking me to update the system on the app and I keep getting "Error code 9" and I am unable to add any music services (spotify soundcloud etc) or set up so I can access my music library on my NAS drive. I was on the beta program and also left it to try it. Still got the same message. I now have 2 systems set up but can only listen to whats on my phone which is pretty useless. thanks in advance for helping

Is there anything out there that will register on my iTunes play count everytime i play a song through Sonos using a mac? Thanks

In the Sonos App (iOS) I'm not able to find how to change the sound settings in the app. It used to be you could hit settings --> Room Settings then have the option to update surround settings, bass and audio settings, etc. I'm not able to find that anywhere. Any help would be great! I was watching a show on Netflix last night and the surround settings inside the movie were really poor and I wasn't able to turn down the surround like I used to be able to. Very frustrating.

I can only imagine that integration with the best voice command solution could only help sales of the world's best wireless home speaker system.

As I have a phone based on Android, I'm wondering about it would be an option just to invite a friend with an Iphone to adjust an Sonos Play 5 with Trueplay

Hi, I applaud sonos for enabling the URL scheme to allow the an app (such a an home automation app) to launch the sonos app, but this is only have the job. Can we now also have a "return to originating app" button added to the sonos controller. I Wrote a nice program that I run On my Windows Server that Allows Meta Data and Basic Controls too and from Russound and Sonos. Is Compatible With the Lates Russound MCA series and Latest Sonos. Gives Artist, Title, Album, Artwork, and Source. Allow Skip(Next),Prev, Pause, Play, Stop Control. Post here if Interested.

My Android controller informs me that there's a beta update available, but when I try to install it I get a message saying I should follow the instructions in an e-mail. I have received no e-mail, so cannot proceed. And before you ask, yes, I've checked my spam folder! There's a similar thread here, but the links given are for a previous version.

How to view and/or change my sonos password to update system

I have downloaded the app on to my android phone, it's found the sonos system but never connects just goes back to the sonos icon?

I have used other music libraries and got used to sorting functions I cannot find in Sonos. Firstly it is not logical to sort the albums based on their title. It is more logical to sort based on album artist first and then title. Secondly I would also like to sort on latest added albums first. Usually you listen to the most recently added albums most. Secondly you know you have added new albums that you want to explore but you do not keep in your head which 20 records you have added most recently. So I would like to have these two sorting’s available at the same time not only one or the other. Are these sorting functions available and how do I set them up? If not when can I expect them?

I eagerly downloaded the new beta version 7 onto my iPhone this morning. But see no difference in how it plays Spotify. The settings 'About my Sonos System' says I am still on v6.4.8 which suggests the update has not worked. It went through the update and reconfiguration process on the iphone. I used the url in the email (to be used in cases where update fails) to download the dmg file to my phone but then it asks where I want to open it - Notes, Dropbox, iCloud with no option to open it on the phone. Can anyone please help me. Thanks in anticipation

Hi, I can see alot of posts about party mode but I can´t find instructions on where to find it? I got a Mark all under groups and this will break current groups and make one big group to play same music on all, is this is?

Anybody finding the latest iOS app is draining their iPhone battery? When I leave my house (and wifi network), the app is continuing to do something in the background. So, it is typically drawing 25% or more of my battery life over 24 hours. Lots of 'background activity.' This is a new issue -- within the last weeks. I have to remember to close -- not just put in the background -- the app when I leave my wifi network.

Add a color screen, a large button, and a battery backup to the Play:3. The color screen can be used to display the time using a number of customizable clock faces, as well as the song artwork when playing music. The button can be customized to act as any number of functions, such as starting a preset channel, snoozing or stopping the alarm. The battery backup guarantees the alarm will still go off in case of a power failure. The only reason I haven't yet replaced my current alarm clocks with a Play:3 is this; I don't want to have two boxes on my nightstand.
