Talk about Sonos S1 and S2 Controller apps for mobile, and the desktop app. This is also the place to talk about partner apps, Airplay, and direct control.

I am going to keep this short and sweet. I have been a long time Sonos enjoyer and proponent. I bought my first SonosZP100 and speaker back in what must have been early 2005. I expanded my collection to fill the house and constlantly bore my friends with my lyricals. I just sold my last speaker a playbar. You probably won't miss me as a customer. You have loads of happy satisfied customers. When you make a commitment to serving those who use Android and Google Home Assistant services as well as you service Apple and Amazon, I will come back. Until then I am having to live with my principles and a series of Google Homes, Max , Mini and others.
When Sonos alarm wakes me, I really really really want to be able to snooze either from an iOS notification or watchOS notification ... .please.
I just “switched” from Bluesound due to the more mature Sonos software and Apple Music compatibility which was supposed to make my life simpler. Now that I have everything up and running I’m disappointed in a couple things. Most importantly, why is there no native iOS widget to enable Sonos control from the lock screen or notification center? A previous Sonos system I set up for a friend had native control on the lock screen which, I understand, is now disabled in V9 due to Airplay 2 issues. Fine. But why not a widget as an alternative? This is just something I’ve always used, and apparently took for granted, in Bluesound and is now sorely missed.
The new app (Android) is asking me to register my speakers by signing into an account with an email address that is not one I recognize. I have my own Sonos account, but it won't let me sign in with it. What gives?
This must be a dumb question, but where are my Sonos playlists? I've just created a few playlists (e.g., tap the three dots...Add to Sonos Playlist...name a New Playlist, etc). Got a confirmatory message that songs were added to playlist such-and-such. But now I don't know where to find the playlist to actually play it. I thought there'd be a "Sonos Playlists" within the Music Library (along with Artists, Albums, Imported Playlists, etc), but I don't see it there. Surely this is an obvious thing that I'm missing. I'm using the new Sonos Controller (v8), which I just updated to yesterday... Thanks.
Hi -- I can't explain this (annoying) strange behavior: within an album, my tracks are not always sorted by track number. When it is not the case, the order is not neither alphabetical. All my tracks have correct tags. All my track number tags are correctly filled. The "sort by track number" is selected in the Controller's options. Any help?
My CR200 has frozen during the most recent update. The blue update line is around 75% across the screen. Any suggestions?
My zone player 90 has not been updated in many years (house rented out for 6 years and I don't think tenant used it). My sonos app on my phone can connect to it and then checks for updates.....and hangs. I can't get further than this. I have deleted the app and reinstalled it, I have tried updating from another device. I have switched it off and back on again but no luck so far. Can anyone help??
Hello, Setting up Sonos for the first time and the app says it needs to check for updates before launching. Once pressed it won’t stop ‘checking for updates’, it does it for hours with no changes. We haven’t been able to use the speakers. I’ve updated my phone, uninstalled the app several times and even tried it on a another phone but the same thing happens.
Hi, Today happened what I dreaded for some time. I was forced to update my Sonos systems and now both my iPad 1 tablets will not work with Sonos anymore. We have them wall-mounted so we can control music all over the place. I am very disappointed to say the least. We had planned to buy some more Sonos systems but the announcement at the beginning of this year stopped us. I hate companies that don't give me control over what is mine. Sonos nor Apple own the gear at my home, I do. Paul
I am unable to open Sonos Desktop Controller on my PC, which is running the current version of Windows 10. After displaying the Sonos logo, it hangs on the intro screen, which is just a white box. I tried uninstalled & reinstalling it, so now it’s getting hung up on the “Sonos setup” screen, which is also a white box. I’m running Windows Defender Firewall and the Sonos app is allowed to communicate through this firewall. The controller was working fine until recently and there have been no recent updates to Windows. Sonos is working, the apps on my iPhone and iPad are all working with no issues and the Sonos software is up to date (just updated today in fact). I'm also not able to launch the Spotify app on my PC, which is also set up to be able to communicate through the firewall. Any ideas?
Are there plans (or is there a way) to use the Sonos app from your phone to broadcast what you say in the phone’s microphone to one or all of the rooms so it acts like an intercom? A use case would be to announce to everyone in the house that “dinner is ready!” or “the bus is here!”. Just use the app, select the rooms - but instead of using radio/pandora/etc., there would be an option for microphone/intercom. Once selected, you can say your message from your phone and then go back to what you were listening to.
I am unable to mute both my Playbase and my Play:1 with my remote. This was working fine for a while. Now, just the Playbase mutes when I use the remote. Both devices are tuned to my TV, but my Play:1 is set up as a separate room because I want main sound coming out of my devices (don't want stereo.)
Hi, I'm trying to leave the SONOS beta as can't install the app on iOS devices. I'm receiving the attached error when accessing the Beta page on the website. Please advice how I can leave the beta. Diagnostics report: 1363486417 Thanks

I just want to let know Sonos that I am fed up with all the perpetual updates and password requirement (it is only a music system for christ sick not my online bank....). I am sure that commercial people would reply that it is to guaranty a safe system and better performance but still I am fed up.
Hi I have FLACs stored on a Vortexbox and use Bliss for music management. Recently (not sure exactly when, but within last few weeks) the track numbers that normally display on the LH side when viewing albums on the Sonos app have disappeared. What's more, the tracks on literally every album now sort alphabetically within album view (I have Mac, iphone and Android tablet controllers and they all show the same). I have checked the tags and can find no problems, both within Bliss and using a different tagging program. I have tried changing my music library temporarily to iTunes on my Mac (which I don't use now but where I do have a few albums) and the problem remained (thereby I think ruling out the issue being with the Vortexbox or Bliss). I have re-imported a few albums from my back-up drive (which pre-dates this problem) to see if my music library on the VB had become corrupted - still no difference. I even did a Sonos factory re-set - still no help. I also use TIDAL and
since upgrading to sonos 9 the app becomes unresponsive on the iphone if you switch to another app and back again , or even just press the home button , the music continues to play without a problem but the sonos app screen is no more that a picture on the phone. The only fix is to "close" the app" by swiping up and re open the app
Sonos forced updates. I do not want updates. I bought the equipment, It is mine to use. I should not be forced to update the software, especially with such poor reviews of of the current software. I have contacted Sonos customer service with no resolution other than I must update. I will sell my Sonos equipment before I am forced to update and move to another platform, probably bluetooth. If I do not get a satisfactory resolution I will contact the Attorney Generals Office for Consumer Protection in my state regarding this issue. Do away with the forced updates or give me a refund on my equipment.
Ok, After the frustrating multiple attempts at update to system, my Apple Watch no longer controls the media on my iPhone Sonos App. This was great because I could control volume and skip to next item when using Apple Music or Pandora. Sucks you disabled this feature ... Guessing it was either not in your MVP or automated test suite ...
So far, does anyone find they're getting a lot of battery life loss from using Airplay to stream music? Personally, I was hoping this would be a way of controlling the Apple Music stream from the speakers using the Music app like it happens with the Sonos app, without streaming through the phone and using up the battery. (Yup, not much of a fan of the Sonos app, would rather use the Apple Music app)
Hi all. This just started for me: the app will work fine as I begin to use it. Once I either switch out of the app and then try and go back into it, or if the phone goes into sleep mode...if I go back into the app it's frozen. And then I either have to manually shut it down or it will actually shut down for me. This is only happening on my iPhones (one is a X, another is an 😎. The iPad is working fine, as is the laptop. I submitted a diagnostic from my iPhone X: 1210298232. Thanks in advance for any ideas. (I already tried deleting the app from the phone and then re-installing it, to no avail.)
Will Sonos ZonePlayers have Airplay 2 support?
Why does the Sonos controller not show up on locked screen like it did previously (same phone and iPhone 7+)
