Hey Sonos Team! We really need an auto-update feature! I work with 300+ rental properties in Park City, UT, and whenever you push out an update, it automatically updates on everyones phones (iOS & Android), but when guests check-in to a rental, the Sonos equipment at the property doesn't let them play music until they update the Sonos first. Kind of frustrating, hopefully you can help! Thanks, Andrew AB Tech Park City | UT 801-432-0263 abtech.io
I love the CR100. Please keep it. But I applied for my voucher thinking ...OK. They are trying to compensate for the hundreds we spent. I have 2 active CR100’s and I sent them the serial numbers. I’ve got ONE voucher. And I need to spend it within 6 months. NO SONOS. That’s NOT fair. I don’t uave an immediate need for a new Play1 or whatever. I’ve got sonos devices all over the house. Please extend the time limit to at least one year.
I've been using a 2016 Amazon Fire HD 8 tablet to control my Sonos system without any issues. I was prompted to install the 9.0 update but cannot do so. Amazon says Sonos 9.0 is incompatible with this previous generation Fire HD 8, as well as a Fire 7 that I had purchased several months before. Is this true? Thanks in advance for all replies
Tried to run Sonos (6.4) from my iMac today. It refuses to run and gives me the message "We need Sonos running on the latest software. Choose check for updates to get started." If I follow the advice I am forced to accept the new privacy rules which I will not do. Any advice on how to make Sonos run on my iMac without accepting the new privacy conditions would be much appreciated. It was my understanding that for people like me Sonos would slowly but surely be phased out. I had never expected it to block access completely.
Sonos 9.0 removes the ability to control volume from the lock screen but doesn’t tell you before upgrading. How do I revert?
I installed the latest updates and tried using AirPlay with a Sonos 1 today – The Sonos 1 is sitting about four feet from, and in direct line of sight to my iPhone 7 Plus running iOS 11.3.1, with no other applications running (I force-closed them all), using Amazon Music or Pandora. Eight Sonos devices in the house, grouped, or not grouped. Only the Sonos 1 supports Airplay. 1) Various dropouts: Fairly often – averaging more than once during each song, the music stops for less than a second, sometimes longer than a second, or several seconds, sometimes skipping early to a new song, and sometimes audio output simply shuts down completely, with the only restart being to go back to the app and re-connect. 2) Long connect times - Connect times are longer than anticipated, sometimes 10+ seconds. 3) Noisier than it should be: And when connecting and these stops and starts, the cut-off or “cut-on” isn’t always smooth, and is occasionally obnoxious. Not Sonos quality at all.
How do I control the sonos one volumes from my Apple TV remote?
Are the Internal web pages gone after the recent 9.0 update? I get this from every page and device (1, 3, 5v1, 5v2 and ZP-80) I've tried give me only an: Error 400 - Bad Request Diagnostic: 583533240 Replace the sonoszp80 with your IP address to try your system) http://sonoszp80:1400/status http://sonoszp80:1400/reboot http://sonoszp80:1400/advconfig.htm http://sonoszp80:1400/wifictrl
My controller only works when I disable my avast protection on my pc windows 10 64 bit operation system. My avast version is 18.5.2342 (build 18.5.3931.0). Any advise is appreciated thank you stephen.
So hardware buttons and lock screen no longer work. I've uninstalled the app, reset the controller, and still nothing. Audio buttons only control the phone - or nothing at all. No lock screen anything. Why does this seem to happen with 80% of iOS builds? Is Apple freezing out Sonos, or has Sonos engineering just failed? (see v8.6 update debacle)
Is there a way to automate playing music on my sonos? We have a play one in one of our bathrooms and the kids always put their music on it and when I use it I don't want to go through the multiple menus to play my music. We use Rhapsody and the kids usually have a playlist that they play. I usually use one of the radio stations 80's rock. On the sonos controller you have to go through 4-5 menu's to get to this particular station and it is laborious. I'm thinking of a "button" a zee wave button, an amazon "dash" button or something similar that has a single purpose. Push it and it sends the proper commands to sonos to tell it to play rhapsody channel "80's rock" on this play1 at this volume. Thats all it does. We could have another button that plays the kids play list. No need to navigate the controller at all, just push and play. Has this been done? Can this be done. Seems like it would be a great feature.
Can you enable Siri Voice control for your Sonos One without IOS device?
i am not able to add a song to the queue using pc software or android device. when this happens i am unable to submit diagnostics so please dont ask me too. the only thing i can think of is the router but i have done everything the client support has told me to do. please fix this issue. I dont seem to have any problems with the apple products that are in the house just android and pc.
Now that Sonos has updated its controller to work with Airplay 2 is it possible to link my sonos 1 speakers with my Apple HomePod? If so how do I do that?
When do you think that Sonos will release an update with Airplay 2 support?
When will there be a visually improvement of the desktop controller.. It looks so old fashioned!
Like many of you, I am extremely disappointed by the latest app update. I have been a long-time and heavy user. The latest update and recent issues I have getting reliable performance, has made me wonder if there are any 3rd party apps that could be used in lieu of the Sonos app on apple devices.
I've been using my sonos connect cleanly for several years now without incident until now. If I launch the sonos app, it says its trying to link my players to my account. I eventually get the screen "Setup problem. Check your internet connection and make sure all of yours speakers are plugged in."... I see in other posts, where you ask if the sonos device is wifi or not. I have plugged it into my network via ethernet cable but still can't get anywhere with this app. I'm not trying to add any new sonos devices but simply get back to controlling my connect through it. What's the next step?
I’ve seen a lot of posts on here with the same title, but none reflect what’s going on with my unit. I have a CR200 that won’t turn on. Zero juice. If I place it in the charging cradle, the top-left LED glows amber for a little bit, then starts flashing. After a little while longer, the LED turns off and the controller’s screen turns on with the Sonos logo, shows me how to connect to a Sonos component. What appears to be a charging icon is present in the top-right corner of the screen. After about 10 seconds, the screen turns off. I can leave it in the cradle all night and the next day it still won’t have any charge. Dead battery or something else?
I have some large Sonos playlists and I haven't figured out how to eliminate duplicates. This can be particularly troubling when combining two existing playlists (e.g. adding a 100 song playlist to an existing 500 song list). Typically, I would look for a sort function, sort the playlist by song title, and scroll thru, identify the duplicates, and delete. However, I haven't been able to find a sort function.. Has anyone solved this?
Hi I just run anti aware to detect any virus in my phone. But unfortunately urban airship virus detect in Sonos app with red color? Means dangerous. Any one knew about this or why Sonos using this aware?
Received a customer request for adding Korean as a language. Anyone else interested in this language option?
I have a 5.1 set up with a playbar, sub & two Play:1's in my living room. My kitchen & dinning from back right onto my living room in an open floorplan. When I listen to music I'd like the rear speakers to act as a separate pair of stereo speakers to fill out the sound in the kitchen & dinning room and thus avoid having to turn up the volume on the playbar. Is it possible to set up a second profile/configuration that would essentially have my rear speakers appear in a separate room? I know I can detach them from my living room but I want to setups that I can toggle between. (and I know that the Sonos simulates 5.1 from a stereo feed but this gives me almost no volume on the rear channels.). Thanks in advance.
This used to be available as part of the support info, but disappeared with an earlier release of software. How do I now find out this information, please? Do I really have to submit a diagnostic every time I want to know this essential information?
We have a 5th generation iPod Touch we would like to use as a controller for the Sonos speakers in our home. When I search for "Sonos" on the iPod I do not get any results? The iPod is running iOS 9.3 and can not be upgraded per Apple. Per the app information it appears the 5th Generation iPod Touch running iOS 9 or late is suppose to work, but how do I install it on the iPod if search doesn't find it?
