Talk about Sonos S1 and S2 Controller apps for mobile, and the desktop app. This is also the place to talk about partner apps, Airplay, and direct control.

Sirius was deleted during an update this morning and is now not listed as an option in the services list. My country is set to United States in my profile. How can I get it to show up again?
Hi there, I am currently trying to set up my new Sonos speakers, but the Sonos app says I need the latest update. Problem is, I have the latest update. I have even deleted and re-downloaded the App. Anyone have a solution? iPhone XS Max, latest iOS update, latest Sonos app update.
In the 10.1 app update there was a feature called recently played under the My Sons tab, however since the 10.1.1 update this is no longer appearing. I am also not getting My Sons Settings under Settings where this option can be turned on/off. I have done a controller reset and tried setting it up again. Anyone having the same issue?
Playing music used to be an enjoyable experience before I got a Sonos system. I now spend more time trying to get Sonos to work than listening to music. I'm sick to death of it losing my speakers, my music library, stopping and starting when it does occasionally work and generally wasting my time. I plan to rip it all out and toss it in the trash!
Recently I've noticed that my phone (android) no longer reconnects to Sonos when in range. (eg, when I come back home). I noticed it a couple of updates ago, hoping it would be fixed, but not yet - hence the post: Basically, in the past, with the android app, the controls are persistently in the notification area (or the lock screen), allowing you to control the speakers as expected. Even if you went out of range, it would pick up where you left off when returning home. Not any more. Now you have to load up the app back up each time to get the controls to show up in the notification area. Very annoying. Sonos Bridge, 2x Play1, 1x Play3 Sony Xperia Z5 compact Everything is up to date. I've tried a reinstall, and resetting my Sonos set up. Anyone else experiencing this?
When I first open the Sonos app on my iPhone, everything works fine. I set the music playing, all good. However, if, after say two minutes, I decide I want to turn the volume down slightly, I unlock the phone and when trying to access the Sonos app I get the message 'We can't connect to Sonos...let's try a few things' Usually, closing the Sonos app, turning the wifi off on my phone and then on again, then opening the Sonos app again sorts it, but I have to do this every time and its infuriating. Anyone else get this? Note: wifi signal is strong/full throughout, and nothing else that is connected to my phone via wifi has this same issue. Every time I get a notification saying that Sonos software is going to be updated, I pray its going to fix this but never does.
I use a Mac running MacOS X 10.9 Mavericks. I've been totally fine with the status quo of the past 3 or 4 updates that have limited the usability of my desktop controller but still allowed me to edit the queue and add music services. That's about all I need from my computer. But I made a horrible mistake to assume that the status quo was going to last forever. I didn't read the release notes for 8.4 before updating and now it says I have to update my entire computer's OS, which is not an option for me. I wasn't expected MacOS X 9.0 support to be completely dropped with an seemingly insignificant incremental update (it was the update to 8.1.1 that killed it for me I think), and I think that a warning that my controller will become essentially bricked should be displayed before updating. Is there any possible way to downgrade my system's software from where it is currently (8.4) to 8.0 or below? I don't have any Sonos ONEs so that's not a problem. Or, if that's not feasible, are there
Anybody have thoughts on how you will be able to select radio stations using the Alexa integration? In the US all stations have a unique 4 letter call sign so you can say exactly what station you want to hear but if you wanted to listen to say 98FM in Dublin what could you say to ensure you get that station and not some other location that transmits at 98FM?
Is there a fix coming for this? Takes extended period of time to get menus up and refresh queue, etc.
Hi, I recently bought 2 x Sonos Ones purely for the Airplay functionality and being able to stream from desktop. However, despite seeing the speaker choice in the mac's output setting and being able to select it, no audio actually routes to the speakers unless I am in iTunes. I can see in the Sonos app that is receiving play information from Airplay, but no actual output. This should be possible correct? I have been able to route system audio through airplay enabled speakers before. I am running Mac OSX 10.12.6 and V 9.3 on the Sonos Ones. Thanks
Google Home and Google Assistant with Sonos
I have a new Sonos smart house system, and a Mac 10.10.5 with all of my music on it. I am trying to access the music directly from Sonos. The "easy" Sonos online instructions say all I have to do is download the Sonos App, click +, etc and all will work. Only problem is that there is only one App, and it is ONLY for Mac IOS versions 10.11 and higher? Is there no way to get an older App, or otherwise access my music library? (I have a new X iPhone with the library sync'd to it).
I've just replaced a dead amp with a new one. But the system thinks the dead one is still on the list of rooms, even though it's been thrown away. How does one remove it?
Is there a way we could set a turn off time for some of our speakers? My daughter often doesn't turn off her speaker when she falls asleep and on a few occasions the hot tub (connect amp) was left on after people came inside. The same way it can be turned on with the alarm it would be great to be able to set a "turn off" alarm.
Well, it's been 6 years and was already looking forward to the ceiling speakers, something I had been waiting for a loong time. I would have gotten a Beam if it hadn't had a listening device on it. I never minded the software glitches, since it happens and as long as they are worked out eventually, then it's cool. But your last trick is definitely the sign that Sonos has become the kind of shady company a customer wants to avoid. I updated the Sonos controller on my phone and guess what? I can no longer use the Sonos product unless I update my OPERATING SYSTEM (ie if I replace my phone). Basically, Sonos is telling me that I am not good enough to use the product that I BOUGHT. Just go buy a new phone you poor bastard. Well talk about a totally unnecessary move. The product worked fine 5 minutes ago and if I miss on the updates then too bad, but DISABLING the product? I don't have enough F words to throw at you for such a move. Sorry Sonos, but if you think you're too good for me
This update is crap. HELP
When I first set up my connect with my Sonos ready Onkyo receiver, the Sonos app would switch the inputs on the Onkyo when I selected music to play. Now it will not switch. I have to manually do it with the remote. Any idea's? Thank you.
Sooooooo frustrated. I run a Mac on an OS older than 10.11. I control Sonos from it and am constantly adjusting music, pausing, etc. throughout my work day. I can NOT upgrade the OS on the Mac without a humongous hassle because of app compatibility for various other apps I run on the Mac. I just accepted the latest Sonos controller update from my iphone because I was prompted and now of course the desktop controller won't work, because I understand that Sonos Software 10.1 requires Mac OS 10.11. So am I just stuck? Is there absolutely no way to control Sonos from my Mac other than upgrading its OS? Are there any workarounds at all to get me control back. Or am I really stuck either upgrading the Mac OS or using my phone only to control the music? If I DO have to only use my phone (because I am NOT upgrading my Mac OS), are there any tricks for fast easy access to the Sonos controller on it. For example, if I am listening to music and the iphone actually rings, how can
I have found the new updated controller to be extremely difficult to use. I.e switching room to room, locating playlists in pandora, changing volume in 1 zone, switching stations from pandora to spotify, searching for old pandora stations, searching for new pandora stations, downloading spotify stations to listen to later offline. I could go on but it wouldnt solve the problem. The last ios based controller was extremely user friendly. Very simple and quick to find all the settings. It was highly intuitive. I dont find any of these to be true on the latest update. Is there any way to revert back to the simplified interface? If not would it be possible to have a future uodate that can bring back many of the easier to use functions? Its so annoying and difficult to use that were discussing getting rid of sonos and going back to our old setup.
My friend convinced me to buy Sonos, and he showed me how to get music streaming to it. But he likes to mess with people. So every time he's over at my house now, he changes the music stream from his phone - just to fluster everyone. I've changed the Sonos password online (i.e. from a Windows computer, via web browser, log in to sonos.com and change my Sonos profile password). As I recall, that's the same password I used during the Sonos speaker setup. But after changing that password and restarting the Sonos Mobile app on my phone, I am still able to access my Sonos system without being prompted for a new password. How do I lock my prankster friend out of Sonos while still allowing him to use WiFi when he's at my house?
I just ran the most recent update of the controller on Mac (version 8.2, build 39247040). I notice that Pandora created a new subfolder of "My Stations" and inside of that, my stations are sorted by date most recently played. I'm sure that was requested by some users, but is of no use at all to me. I want to browse channels alphabetically as it has been. Is that a preference I can change or is this the new sort order we all have to use now?
When I browse artists in music On this Phone, an album art is pulled and displayed as an icon for the artist. When I browse Music Library it does not. I’d like to suggest an updated to fix this please.
Just got a Play:1, set it up successfully with my i Phone added another i Phone and i Pad. All working fine. Down loaded the Windows Controller. When I tried to connect to my existing system I get the message "No existing Sonos system could be found" Any help would be welcome.
With the latest sonos app causing the ability to control my sonos speakers from the lock screen now unreliable and missing, I'm searching for alternative ways to easily adjust the volume or pause/stop the sonos with a third party remote control.....either hand held or wall mounted. It is quite annoying to have to unlock my phone, open the app all just to adjust the volume or pause music. Who has used 3rd party remotes with success.....which ones did you use? FWIW, I am wanting this to control the older Sonos Play:1 speakers. I have 3 of them......all mounted high and out of reach.
I have sonos installed in several rooms and set alarms at different times but with the same radio station playing. There I should no option to be able to Group these staggered alarms. I wait until each alarm activates and then Group as I move around rooms. A small thing but it would be great for this to be able to be carried out automatically would be most welcome
