3 options...just wondering what’s going to give me the best sound quality. Have Sonos ARC1) using Amazon Music HD through Sonos App. 2) using Airplay from iPhone to Sonos ArcUsing Amazon Music HD app on my LG TV

I have my system updates set to “update automatically” and in the 2 hour morning window. Will I be notified when an update has been applied to my system? Am I better to check for updates manually?

When I run the Spotify application on my Windows 10 laptop it (almost) never finds my Sonos speakers. When I start the Spotify app on my Android or Apple phone it immediately shows all available devices. When I start the Sonos app on my laptop it also finds the Sonos speakers within a second. All my devices are on the same wifi network and same vlan. The problem seems to be in the Spotify Windows client. Or is it something in the Sonos system?

I have successfully added the mixcloud music service to Sonos.How do I play a mixcloud live stream?If I follow a mixcloud user, I can see them in the Sonos App:Mixcloud > My Profile > Following > {mixcloud user} > StreamHowever, all I see is ‘No selections are available’Is mixcloud live stream supported in the Sonos Mixcloud Music Service? 

I’ve tried Google Music, Youtube Music, and Spotify.What is the best music vendor to use on Sonos so I don’t have to worry if someone else is listening to music in another room?

Sonos newbie here. So I have a Pro-Ject Debut Carbon turntable and a preamp that I would like to set up with a pair of Fives for stereo sound. Is it possible to hardwire both or do I just use a rca to 3.5mm to one of the Fives and then couple the 2nd Five using the software?  Greatul for any advice here!   

Hello everyone, I am having an issue that I believe is related to an iphone. My wife's iphone 8 was working fine with our Sonos network until it decided to not work. The app and said there were no Sonos items on the network. At that point I uninstalled the app, restarted the phone, restarted the router, power cycled speakers, etc.So now we cant even login in the app on one of our devices because it cant see any Sonos devices on the network.My iphone 8 plus is still able to connect, and my daughters iphone 7 both connect fine, we can see all the speaks, connect and link them together in a group.All iphones are running ios 14.3, and the Sonos apps have all been updated to current. The ios sonos app we are using is Sonos 12.2.2the router is a Google Nest mesh network. The Google Home app is version 2.32.11 no idea about hardware version or whatnot. Anyone have a problem aimilar to this?

Hi all,About a couple of years ago the Sonos app updated and the integrated UI of the Spotify service changed and since then I can’t see most of the genres/categories (there are about 60, most of them such as Sleep and Focus are missing).This is the actual Spotify app: These are the available genres/categories in Sonos: I contacted the @SpotifyCares on Twitter and this was their response:Got it. We'd suggest reaching out to our friends at Sonos at https://support.sonos.com/s/?language=en. They should be able to help  So, how can I display all the Spotify categories in the Sonos app?

I recently uninstalled and re-installed the Sono desktop controller - the reason being is that the displayed playlist did not reflec the playlist I have setup in iTunes. Specifically I now have under imported playlists, 11 (eleven) instances of a playlist called “downloaded”. There is no such playlist setup in iTunes! The contents of these playlist include non-playable songs (“Unable to play, the saher does not exists”) Its is pointing to an old share which is no longer in use.Is there anything I can do to solve this annoying problem?ThanksEd

So, I feel really silly asking this, but:  I can’t find the radio station on S2 that’s been curated by Bjork. The only curated stations that appear in my Sonos Radio > Sonos Presents section of S2 are those by Thom Yorke, Ludwig Goransson, Brittany Howard, Third Man Records, and Full Spectrum/Pride.Am I missing something obvious? Are there limitations based on country? (I’m in Canada). Is the Bjork “station” actually just part of Sonos Sound System (in which case: where do you find the schedule for that station?). I’m probably missing something obvious. But: I’m also not an idiot. You’d think something this major (from a marketing perspective) would be a lot clearer. (I.e. just trying to figure out what Sonos Sound System is, as a station, has been a challenge).Any help would be appreciated.

We have 3 different phones with the S2 app loaded. Quite often the Sonos is running but one of us cannot connect despite good connection to the WiFi on all devices.  At the moment my Sonos system is playing yet I cannot connect with the app.

After resetting my whole system i have not reconnected med Sonos Amp to my windows computer.But now the music don't play over the stereo. I am using jack cables like before.Before it would just autodetect that I played music on my computer and fire on the Amp.Is there a setting I am missing to turn on after my reset of the system?

anywhere an album title appears i would like to see the year. it is information i desire, and almost anything that plays music besides sonos provides this information. thanks.

Used to able to search all songs off album cover in old app- now there is  no option to do that ? Is there an option will that change as great way to explore

So the fact that Apple renamed iTunes to Apple Music - AND has a streaming music service of the same name has made searching for a solution to my problem a challenge. I do. not have a streaming Apple Music account - but I DO have a new laptop that has the Apple Music application (formerly iTunes). In the past I haven’t had any problems getting my playlists from iTunes to appear in my Sonos app but that is no longer the case with the new Apple Music app. I’m stuck with an old list of Playlists and can’t add any new ones. It seems as though the list is no longer synched between Sonos and Apple.  Any thoughts?

i constantly will want to know what song recently played and don’t make it to my device by the time the song ends and then i can no longer see who it was. i would appreciate a recent history list somewhere so i could see the most recent 10, 100, whatever songs that just played. thanks.

My SONOS app prompted me to download the version 2. Once I did it said it found my system but I can’t open the app. I get to the page where it say “by continuing you accept these Terms and Conditions. But there is no “continue button” or “next”. ????? If I click on the terms and conditions it opens up SONOS.com. 

I noticed that on 2/16/21 there was an Android update to the S2 App. I have held off on updating it, because I know I can never go back. Can anyone please comment on any negative or positive experiences with the update so I can make an informed decision before moving forward with the update. Thanks in advance for any answers or comments. 

When I activated my S2 system, none of my original playlists on the S1 system have appeared. I still have my S1 system which is now disconnected, how can I transfer across 10yrs worth of playlists? Thanks 

Hi everyone,I wasn’t able to open Sonos Controller on Windows 10, just like some of you, according to other topics on the community.Taking a look on the log file that’s created on C:\ProgramData\SonosV2,_Inc\runtime, i was getting the following error message: “<ApplicationData>@Module:module @Message:Can’t bind (port 3410)</ApplicationData>”It seems that Sonos is using a port that might be marked as reserved. To check that, run the following command on command prompt:netsh int ip show excludedportrange protocol=tcpYou will get a list of exclusion ranges.I couldn’t quite understand what’s reserving the bunch of ports I have on this list but, to clean it up and fix the problem, I’ve run the following commands:net stop winnatnet start winnatIf you check the list of excluded ranges again, the list should be much smaller and port

Problem: Pixel XL (smartphone) was connected to my system via SONOS S2 for about 3 weeks working PERFECTLY.  Now Pixel XL won’t connect and I can’t find any way to reconnect it even using all my old S1 tricks.Background: I upgraded my system from S1 to S2 using my Pixel XL phone.  It was used to perform the system upgrades and first to get S2 app added and S1 app removed.  Afterwards, functioning perfectly!  Been using it successfully without any issues for around 3 weeks now.Delay to Upgrade:  Not that anyone needs an explanation, but I replaced our FireHD 8.1 (2017) with a FireHD 8.1 (2020) to use as a SONOS controller for guests/petsitters.  I was holding off migrating the system/rooms to S2 until either: SONOS would actually show mercy to us long time users as first they were hinting and eventually did drop support for FireOS 4/5/6; or, I had a replacement device so that our houseguests wouldn’t be without a controller!  So, upon r

HiCan I suggest the following changes to the Android S2 app, please?Please make the mute button bigger. I have to hit it two or three times for it to activate.S2 ScreenshotPlease make the app load quicker. It takes a full 7 seconds for the app to load and if i navigate away from the Sonos screen, it has to load all over again. This is very frustrating when I am working on multiple apps. If I setup a group of speakers all linked to my Beam and for one reason or another I need to mute this, the group gets broken and I need to set it up again.Thanks for you support. Arrowmaker 

Hi, I would like to stream audio from my Nvidia Shield TV to my Symfonisk speaker - are there any apps that do this? Or is there another way of doing it?

Over the years I have bought Sonos Play 5’s x 5 (Gen 1). 1 x Move, 2 x Amps + 2 of the latest Amps, 2 x Play 1’s and 1 x Play 3’s and Playbase. In short invested a lot of money and much of it doesn’t seem to work these days. I now have 2 Apps to run the system, is SONOS crazy?So disappointed on the so called progress, I should have stuck to my British Cyrus system as this is now American junk.The real question is there anyone out there that will buy it off me and I suspect the answer is NO?To say I am disappointed with the performance is an understatement. I suggest the App software writers should be sacked and someone who knows what they are doing write an App that all components work satisfactory under.Did I say I am disappointed, YES I AM?
