Talk about Sonos S1 and S2 Controller apps for mobile, and the desktop app. This is also the place to talk about partner apps, Airplay, and direct control.

Feature Request: while in the EQ settings, ie bass, treble, sub audio…. I think it would be a nice feature to have the ability to press on the + and - buttons at the far ends of the settings rather than “eyeball” those settings via “press and slide”. You can do it with the main volume settings - albeit by tapping along on the volume line, but not using the actual plus or minus “buttons”. I wish those + and - buttons were actual buttons, across the app! It’s simply counter intuitive as it is now.
Why can’t I go backwards using Flow in Deezer in the Sonos Environment (App). If the function is available on Deezer why is not availble in the Sonos app? Can we get this fixed?
We have had the poor experience (many times) of grouping a room only to blast our ears out. Our Living Room has Bar/Sub/One/One and we connect it through our entertainment center. There are various volume controls at play and sometimes the Sonos Volume in the Living Room is left fairly high. The next morning… we are playing music through a One in a different room and we decide to group the Living Room… with volume still high, music is Very loud and possibly damaging to a person sitting in there. Questions: Are there any settings that would reset volume to something like 10% on any newly grouped room? Or even any settings that would allow volume limits based on Input? Our entertainment center is generally quiet, our turntable (via Sonos Port) is really quiet, Music is REALLY LOUD. I have a sizable investment in Sonos speakers but I am finding it difficult to manage all the various volume levels across my 7 rooms. It seems unreasonable that a user would need to visit every room an
I found a new way to control my Sonos using buttons over WiFi and NOT through Iphone, Andrioid, or Bluetooth. Fairly new, the Leviton Four (4) Button Wifi controller #DW4BC fits in a regular wall switch box and wires to 110v.. Once configured, up to four switches can control Sonos via IFTTT, which is referred to as If This Then That. Available at IFTTT.com. Before diving in, I have already heard this solution is costly and convoluted to some. Yes I know there are other buttons, but this works well for my building, and empowers people without Sonos accounts to listen or stop Sonos without asking me to control the music…. like when a phone rings. It solves my original problem where speakers are not easily accessible so the buttons are useless. And I won’t allow Siri or Alexa in this building. No longer do people bug me to control the music. They do it now with buttons and not running App software logged into MY Sonos account. My BUTTON solution works like this…Add a Leviton DW4BC wir
Hi, Apple Music Activity playlists are no longer showing within the new Sonos S2 controller app. All playlists are available to see within the Apple Music app. I have contacted Apple and they have stated this is a Sonos issue. I have submitted diagnostics - 1090078363. This has never been an issue before - always worked fine before the S2 controller update,
A couple of questions before I begin my setup for my WD My Cloud NAS.This will be my first time using NAS. First, I’m replacing my 12 year old Mac with a Windows Lenovo laptop. Yes I guess it would be a downgrade but I’m shifting into retirement mode in the next 2 years. I’m not on the Mac as much these days. Plus I can’t justify the cost $$$ of another Mac when I’m only on it when I’m downloading music and photos. And now with a NAS coming. I am going to miss it. Anyway, the laptop will be here on Monday. My NAS (without the disk drives) is scheduled to arrive today. I purchased the NAS diskless. I just purchased 2 4TB drives this morning so I’m assuming they will be here by Monday. So when my NAS arrives today can I set it up without the drives? Or will I have to wait for them to arrive before I can set it up? If I am able to do the setup on the NAS without the drives should I do setup with my very old and very very slow Mac (and 2 external drives)? Or should I wait for my new Window
I would love to do some more advanced settings Sonos Amp, for example "more EQ settings".This is more a wish for extended functionality then a question. / Henrik
So I love our Sonos-system but i have kids that sometimes have trouble starting up music in their rooms and if not being at home we can’t really help at the moment. Been checking out different apps but not really found a good one and when asking the Sonos support the only way to do it is to remote control a unit on the network. That is possible but would really have been a lot nicer to just be able to do it through a app or something. So guess I would like suggestions but would also like to lift the subject for a update in the Sonos app which is what i would like the most.
My Mac laptop which is configured with Catalina cannot see the Sonos S2 system I am running, I have removed firewall and changed all privacy and security settings but still no joy. My wife who has a Big Sur computer can see the Sonos S2 system but unfortunatley my company is not upgrading to Big Sur just yet so i am stuck on Catalina with no music. Has anybody got any thoughts on how to fix it. The company runs Sophos EndPoint as an antivirus that i cannot disable - i am sure that it should not stop Sonos but just saying in case there is a settign in Sophos that needs changing.
My windows 10 S2 app, keeps asking to update. I updated is it already 6 times.I reset the app and I downloaded the app from Sonos and reinstalled it.Problem persist. Please advice
I would like to buy a Roam but this only works with Sonos 2 and I have a Bridge and Play 5 that only work with Sonos 1 (I also have 2 x Play 3 and 1 x Play 1 which should work with Sonos 2).Currently I have the Sonos 1 app running on my Win 10 PC and Android phone.Router is BT Smart Hub (1).My plan is to move the Play 5 to my workshop and leave it and the Bridge working with Sonos 1.Then install Sonos 2 app on Win 10 PC and Android phone, then add the existing 2 x Play 3 and 1 x Play 1 plus a new Play 1 (to replace the Play 5) and new Roam to Sonos 2.This means I will have a hybrid setup with both Sonos 1 (via Bridge) and Sonos 2 running on the same networkMy questions are;Is this setup feasible, will Sonos 1 (via Bridge) and 2 run on the same network? Can I link the new Sonos 2 to the same music folders on my Win 10 PC as currently linked to the existing Sonos 1I understand that the two systems will be completely separate so how can I duplicate my Favourites and Playlists from the exis
I am getting totally frustrated with Sonos. As a system, I think they sound and work great. Their ability to Integrate with third party music services is beyond horrible. It sort of reminds me of the old days with my Squeezebox (Logitech Media Server), The LMS was indeed powerful, but needed constant babysitting to do what you needed/wanted it to do and to keep it running, but it had a nice user community that were able to contribute. I don’t miss all the trouble shooting I had to do, but I do miss the support from the user community. So lets move on, and after this gets posted, I’m sure a representative from Sonos will kindly post a reply along the lines of “thank you for reaching out to us bla bla bla…./ we will forward that to our development team bla bla bla…./ we are currently looking into that, but have no ETA into your problem...bla bla bla. I’ve noticed that sort of recurring answer here on the Sonos boards, polite yes, helpful no. This Is a major frustration I have rea
I have one Sonos One SL and two Play:5 gen 1 and so I use the Sonos S1 app on my iPhone. I now want to switch to a new wifi network but it seems to me that I cannot just choose that in the app. Is there an easy fix for this? Or do I eg need to reset speakers and/or delete and download app again? Thanks in advance
I’ll be setting up my WD My Cloud PR2100 this weekend. I’ve transfered all my files from my old-n-slow Mac to an external hard drive. I have a new laptop that I’ll be setting up this weekend. So my question is after I set up the Nas will I be able to transfer my music & photos over to Nas using the external hard drive? Or do I need to transfer them from ex hard drive to laptop first? And how does Plex come into play with the transfer?
Hello, we have a Youtube Music family subscription (since Google Music dissapeared unfortunately). When my wife uses the SOnos app on her phone to search for her playlists, she only sees mine. She has her own Youtube account, but for some reason Sonos only shows mine. How can I solve this?
How long until Sonos release an app for the Apple Watch to take advantage off ?
Hi,I’ve recently upgraded my TV from a Samsung UE65KS9000 to a Samsung QE65QN95A. While my old TV allowed me to discreetly turn up the audio using my Sky Q controller - it never showed the awful OSD for the volume Samsung have, the new one does it regardless.Does anyone know of a way to turn the volume of the arc up without activating the OSD? Even if I use the Sonos App the OSD displays. I wish Samsung gave you the option to disable this! Any suggestions\help would be appreciated. All the best,Paul.
Following THIS POST which is now closed for comment:I’m in a similar place with old S1 kit and v10.3 of the android app on my Nexus7 mkII tablets, which keeps me going just fine.I’ve got a couple of Windows 10 64-bit machines that could do with a Windows Sonos controller on-board- but I still need to avoid any system updates that would make my Nexus 7mkII controllers useless.Do I need an old Windows version to prevent updates ? If so, which version and where can I download it to install? For info:On this desktop, I am still running the Windows controller v 10.3The laptop has no Sonos software.I can see the Sonos site has an S1 Windows download (currently SonosDesktopController1126.exe)I also have SonosDesktopController103_0675797637.exeandSonosDesktopController1061_3385173777.exeandSonosDesktopController112.exefiles available.
does my iMac have to be always on for the music library to be available to Sonos?
Does iTunes song Volume Adjust setting carry over to Sonos? I'm playing from Apple Music in the Sonos app. I have some acoustic tracks in a playlist that need to be raised. I have increased the individual song volume in options. Will it also be increased through the Sonos app?
After having streaming dropouts for a week or two I checked out the Sonos page on incompatible hardware and found my recently purchased and installed gigabit switch was incompatible. I plugged my Boost back into the router rather than the switch and all perfect now.
I replaced my Bridge with Boost and updated to S2. I have installed the system and yesterday it worked with my iPhone 6 and iPad 4. My iPhone 12 cannot find the system in the Sonos app. There is no problem to play with Spotify. Today also the iPad has lost connection with Sonos. I have allowed integrity/local network.
The Spotify account is my account. My wife uses it through her Sonos app on her phone. I use Spotify throughout the day while I’m at the office and/or car. My wife will be at home using Spotify through the Sonos app. I’ll be at the office using Spotify through the Spotify app, and we cut each other off. We can’t both be using it, even though we’re in 2 different locations. Any thoughts or does she have to have her own Spotify account?
Will the Roam support Apple Music lossless playback? Thanks.
I love the Rain Rain app with its library of soothing sounds that I play from my Apple XS. How do I connect (wired or preferably wireless network that Playbar is connected to) from iPhone XS to Playbar? Airplay is integrated into Rain Rain. I have a Vizio smart TV as well.
