Have BT Whole home Mesh set-up with 3 dishes and Sonos Boost. The master disc is plugged into main BT Home Hub, as is my Boost. About a month ago I added Sonos Move to my setup, had to reset it recently and had to ensure it connected to BT Whole home Mesh WiFi. What is the Boost doing and should I wire it too the Mesh disc?
Hi,My system occasionally (and supposedly) loses connectivity with my router which results in error codes during playback from Sonos, System update, etc. This can be remedied with a factory reset, but then I need to set everything up again which is not only a tedious process because I have to manually and individually configure true play for my entire system comprised of 4x Sonos One (gen 2) and a Beam.I can’t for the life of me understand what causes these issues as I can see that their visible to my router in the router GUI. I’ve tried to change both 2.4 ghz and 5 ghz, I’ve also tried restarting all units including the router concurrently and individually. All Sonos units are showing solid white LEDs, which should indicate a steady connection. Another thing, the mobile app won’t let me manage trusted networks, because it throws error code 800 when it tries to verify/validate the sonos app version ( I suppose)Any clues?
I cannot turn on my Sonos Move device. It seems to be charging (the light turns on when put in charger. It is fully charged). But it doesn't turn on and can't get connected!? Any advices?
I have a problem that has been driving me crazy for the last month, and I really hope someone can help me out.I recently moved to a new house, where I have set up a wireless network using a router connected to three Ubiquity Unifi 6 Lite access point. Two are on the ground floor and one on the first floor. All in all, the network performance is great, except for one thing; connection to my Sonos speakers. I have a couple of different speakers; 3 Play:1's, a Sonos Move, an Arc and a IKEA Symfonisk bookshelf speaker. Everything is set up using the new Sonos S2 platform. The problem is, that while I can usually set up the speakers fine enough in the Sonos app, they tend to disappear and re-appear in the app at random. This happens both when I want to play music, but they also just cut out randomly when music is playing. My current assumption is that the issue is related to that the speakers each connect to different Unifi APs, and that they somehow can't see each other across the network. I
When I stream uploaded tracks from my Youtube Music library to Sonos, Sonos always cuts off the last minute or so of the song. Total mood killer!Youtube Music is my main streaming service and I’ve uploaded a ton of personal tracks to my library at aren’t available anywhere else, so if it doesn’t work with Sonos, I’d be inclined to use different speakers rather than switching my streaming service. I love Sonos sound quality so I hope this issue gets fixed ASAP!
Asus AiMesh incompatibility with Sonos - solved! After updating my Asus firmware to version xxx180, Sonos would not connect - even though my Asus router and Sonos apps both could see LL 6 of my Sonos devices. After hours of mediating between Asus and Sonos reps, trying to solve why SONOS would not connect wirelessly after the Asus firmware update, I realized that I could just go around it. I didn’t need a SONOS boost to create a separate wireless network and add more signals and potential interference into the house. ( Sonos says this is to improve functionality - but it’s really to get around how incompatible and fragile their connectivity is.) I just took my old extender that the mesh router had replaced, and connected it with Ethernet cable directly permanently into the Sonos soundbar. it worked immediately. the ac extender is not mesh, but it received the new signal like any other device. Not elegant, but better than wasting the time. Sonos doesn’t need a lot of signal to o
With the system working, internet in good condition, it happens to me that it jumps from one song to another without the previous one ending
Hi All, I’ve noticed that when I try to go into the Pandora app and cast to Sonos (which previously worked) I now see only my non-Sonos Google Home devices (like minis and hubs) as available to cast to. None of my Sonos rooms/speakers show up. Not sure if somehow setting up Pandora as the default service for Google Home made it override the Sonos casting ability or not. I can play Pandora no problem using the Sonos app, so it’s not like Pandora is disconnected from Sonos. Tried to go into Pandora settings to see if I could re-link it to Sonos, but there’s no mention of other connected services there beyond Alexa. So thinking the connection must come from the Sonos App...which shows the Pandora connection and plays Pandora content fine. Just somehow lost the ability to cast from the Pandora app to Sonos. Any suggestions on how to fix this? Thx!
Hi, could someone check my diagnostics please. I have issues with songs cutting out even couple of seconds. I have fibre broadband top speed. 376079944.
Recently, all my speakers become ungrouped overnight and I have to group them again. I would say it happens about every other day - doesn’t happen every day.Any ideas how to troubleshoot? Speaking with support is pretty futile these days.Jim P.
Please help, new Samsung TV and I’ve just attached the sound bar that was cutting out on another tv to this one, same problem exists I’m playing sound out through an optical cable, TV speakers work fine.
I have a Play:5 Gen 2, updated to controller S2 latest release. It’s connected via line-in to Samsung television in the family room. We find that annoyingly often, turning the television back on (from standby) will result in no sound playing. To solve this I have to launch the i-Phone app where I see the ‘play’ icon is displayed besides the Family Room bar at the bottom. Tapping this (sometimes a couple of attempts are needed) changes the play icon to a ‘stop’ icon and the sound returns from the TV.Things I’ve tried over the past year to resolve this permanently:Updating the app on the i-Phone Updating the Sonos app on the PC (Windows 10) Restoring the Sonos to factory default and redoing all the i-Phone waving around, media library connection etc. Trialling various setting combinations for Source Level (currently Level 2 A/V Component), Audio Delay (currently medium 113ms) and Autoplay (currently with Family Room selected as Autoplay Room, Use Autoplay Volume toggled on, Autoplay Volu
I was living well with S1 and my mix of old and new devices.Today I got a Roam and was forced to setup S2 in order to use it.I got things working after some difficulties and had the Roam on S2 and the rest of my system on S1. Somwhere along the way after that I got prompted for an upgrade on the S2 app and I foolishly accepted. It appears to have upraded the firmware on my devices attatched to my S1 app and now all of my devices save for 2 in the S1 app say “incompatible”. How can I get my S1 system back to what it was before the ‘upgrade’? If I go to System Tools>Remove Products, it says “System Update Needed” which then proceeds to fail with “Error code 9”. So I cannot upgrade. I cannot remove anything. Did I just brick the entirety of my S1 devices?
Hi all,So my client (latest release version on up to date iPhone 11) sometimes doesn’t update when the song being played changes, and in this situation, adding a song via “Ply Next” means it also gets missed. is there a quick way of forcing a client refresh? Currently I have to close the app and reopen, but this is a royal pain in the neck if I have to do it multiple times an hour.
Reboot every weekend? Is that the solution? This is REALLY annoying and I able to reboot each device, reset each device, and reboot my router. However this cuts in to family time every Sunday. Is this what this SONOS system requires? Thanks for any help on this topic.
Hi folks ,Question of the day :Am I the only one that have serious issues with Sonos S2?There is my setup :2 x Sonos play 1 connected wirelessIssues :1- I can’t add any Spotify account on Sonos because Spotify isn’t in the list .2- even if I try to airplay audio trough spotify app ,Spotify detects the Sonos setup , It says “connecting …” but never connectThank you for you answers
Hi Sonos, I recently purchased the Arc & Sub. I have connected it to my Sony TV KD-85X9000H. The sound will randomly turn off for 10-15 seconds.I have tried unplugging the TV, Arc & Sub. I’ve checked the HDMI cord (the one supplied with the arc). I’ve even hoped it would just go away - if anything if feels like it is getting worse or just irritating me more. It doesn't matter if I’m watch TV or Netflix etcObviously very keen to get this fixed as soon as possible.Any suggestions?
All radio stations working using TuneIn, except WDNA It keeps repeating the ‘splash’ message, with sporadic cuts in the sound. All other stations (I have about 40) work as expected. Logging in to wdna.org on the web works fine, it’s only on Sonos for this one station.
I have two (2) Sonos One speakers paired with Beam. For quite a while these have acted as surrounds for my Beam, however today I noticed my right speaker was blinking a white led. I tried to identify this but all I can find for blinking white is the unit is rebooting. I hard reset the One speaker and returned it to factory. Once blinking green I can add the speaker to my room. This works fine, and I can play music on the speaker just fine. Now the issue comes when I tell the Sonos app to add the two Sonos One speakers as surrounds. The app plays music on the left speaker, I select that speaker in the graphic on the app and say continue. I wait a little bit and the join as surrounds fails and the left speaker is now flashing with a white led. It appears this speaker gets stuck in a reboot loop at this point. I’ve been through this process about five times. And nothing seems to matter, as soon as I add the speaker as a surround it fails the add and starts back in to the reboot loop. Fl
I have a sonos play 5 connected to my Technics 1200 turntable with a pre amp in between. It works perfectly. Unfortunately, when I group it with other speakers so I can listen elsewhere in the house it will ungroup when the current record is done playing and every time I change records I have to group it again. How can I keep the grouping persistent even with gaps in the sound?
Have the following Sonos equip:playbarsubpair of surrounds Issue: when router reboots, the playbar is no longer visible in the system. Attempts to resolve via the app are unsuccessful. However, if I plug an ethernet cable directly into the router, at least sometimes I can get the playbar to be visible again, but the sub and surrounds can’t be added to the room the playbar is associated. Have had this problem almost since day 1, and am getting pretty frustrated with this equipment. Have contacted support several times, and they were unable to resolve.Have other wireless devices on my network (TV, smartphone, laptop, DVD, etc.) and they all work fine after router reboot, so don’t a router problem. Have tried setting the router to another channel, and no luck.Any advice?
Hello Guys,my technician has identified this component to be replaced.Any tips on where to buy it?I.C. TPH 150 in 4+4 pinsSonos Model: S100 - IC 5373A - RM010 Thank you for your help!Best Regards!
Cable burnt and the Play 3 started to melt and almost caught fire.Anyone who has had same experience? What do you suggest that I do?
Hi all,I have quite a frustrating problem. My Sonos system drops sound for a few seconds randomly. This used to appear to be on the radio in our kitchen amp mainly. If I had the radio grouped with the garden it was only the kitchen amp that dropped and the garden continued so this is not an issue of the radio station timing out. I found that this was an amp working wirelessly, so I wired the connection to my network switch and reconfigured. The issue now seems to happen in more rooms than before. It is getting more frustrating and is even doing it on streaming services aswell.I’m basically asking whether it is better for my system to be wired with the amps individually connected via my network switch or with a direct feed from my router and each Sonos product daisy chained on from there. Also are there any router ports that could be opened to help? All of my amps are currently in my loft space with speaker cables run through my house to each room.My Sonos/network description is below to
Hello all, I have my Arc paired with two subs and two Fives for surrounds. Earlier all the sudden, the Fives and Subs disspared from the System > Products menu, usually it says TV (+Subs x 2, LS+RS). I tried disccconet all of the speakers for 30 sec and also reseting my router. Strange thing is I still see the products on “About My System”, just not in products. And they still all works, but now I do not have true tone anymore and I can not adjust the EQ settings of my subs and Fives anymore. I have not tried factory ressting my speakers. Below is my network matrix and Info, any help is welcomed. Thanks!
