Hi, we've been noticing this issue for the past few weeks: when a TV is turned on, unrelated rooms that are also not grouped with the TV may begin playing music. Here is a Diagnostic captured a minute or two after the issue occured: 605248757We have 3 tvs in the house, each has either a Beam or an Arc.To reproduce this occasional problem:1. Make sure all Sonos products are not playing any audio.2. Turn on a TV that is connected to either a Beam or an Arc.3. Observe the connected product will properly begin playing TV audio, but other products will begin playing music.Let me know if you need any more info, thanks!
I have multiple zones of speakers with my Sonos Amps, and would like to use my outdoor rooftop speakers (powered by Sonos Amp) for audio output when I’m watching a moving on my outdoor projector. I currently use Chromecast to play content on my projector but there isn’t a way to play video on the projector and get audio to push to Sonos. Is what I’m trying to achieve possible? Would it be better to get a Apple TV to connect to the projector?Current state I have to connect a portable speaker via 3.5mm to the projector but would be a much better experience with my outdoor speakers. Alternatively I think I could purchase a Sonos 5 and connect that to the projector via 3.5 to act as a “center” speaker and bridge to the Sonos Amp. But honestly that’s overkill and wouldn’t use the Five for anything but one off movies on the rooftop. Appreciate the help.
I unplegged the speakers for the holiday, when I came back the group is not working anymore. They all work on their own, if I group them it works only the latest one was playing.
Cannot conncte to Sonos after hours of troubleshooting attempt. Any one had the same issue before? The system worked fine for years. There was an issue for the connected Wifi some point and no devices could connect to it as SSID dissapeared form the list of SSIDs.During the time of Wifi dissapearance, the Sonos devices worked on another Wifi NW.After rebooting NW devices the dissapeared NW came back. Tried to have Sonos back to the old Wifi NW. ‘Fix it’ ended with ‘Cannot connect to Sonos’ message. S2 app was reset and Sonos devices all rebooted but it did not change anything. Used App is Sonos S2, Sonos one SL x5 installed. Cisco router → Cisco Switch → AP → 3 SSIDs → Sonos Boost
I have Sonos throughout the house, including an Amp and surrounds in the living room, Fives upstairs - and Play:1s and One SLs downstairs, across multiple rooms.Always worked perfectly until a couple of months ago. I’ve switched to Qobuz, so presumably data throughput is higher than when everything was Spotify, Mixcloud, Bandcamp, etc. However - that doesn’t really explain the problem as far as I can tell. When I join the Kitchen speakers to the Veranda (both stereo pairs), I get massive dropouts. The Veranda is the closest room in the house to the kitchen. Individually, the zones play music absolutely fine. Different albums on Qobuz at the same time in every room, no problem. Same album at the same time when grouped, if Kitchen and Veranda are both in the mix, always results in terrible dropouts.I bought a Boost in the hopes that might help. We’re on a Google mesh wifi setup, which I understand is problematic unless you connect the Boost directly into the main hub, which I’ve done. I’v
..it is so frustrating. The Spotify connection is very intermittent;Yesterday Sonos played perfectly for 12 hours and then disappeared completely from my Mac and iphone necessitating a complete reboot of speakers, router and gigaclear range extenders... the second time in three days. It come back up but takes 15minutes to achieve this... My mac is hardwired and the gigaclear range extenders are wireless; I have a 100megabit fibre connection and no near neighbours … why does my sonos keep failing??
Hello; my you tube premium service has been working fine and then today in some of my playlist specific songs are appearing grey and not playing via Sonos App siting ‘Your account is being used in another location’! Note I can still play the playlist via YouTube app. Also I have deleted and re installed the YouTube service within the Sonos App. Please could some help to fix this issue? thanks
Is there any real fix for Spotify losing connection over Sonos? So far there are only tips offered on the forums.Spotify is completely unusable for me over Sonos for a few weeks now. All other services play fine!
My Sonos only works sometimes. Is everyone feeling the same level of garbage tech? Support does not work…chatbot nothing.
I recently moved, so I’m setting up my system again. However, I’m having a strange issue. I have 8 speakers (9 but one setup is stereo Sonos Ones), all latest generation. The main difference between this new system and my old system is that all the speakers are WiFi until I can get some wires around the house. My old house had several speakers wired (not with SonosNet).I’m having two issues. First, sometimes one controller won’t see all the speakers. For example, my computer right now only sees 5/8 speakers, but my phone and iPad sees all. Come back an hour later, and things will change. This setup was an absolute rock for years prior (I’ve been using Sonos since the the year of their founding). I’ve toyed with STP, RSTP, rebooting switches, reboot routers, rebooting EVERYTHING, reseting speakers, etc. Nothing seems to impact that over time controllers lose speakers and then find them again. The second issue is that I can’t reliably join. For example, I have speaker Family Room and anot
I've had some WiFi issues and was logged out of my S2 app. When I tried to log back in the app keeps asking me for the details of my sons account. I've tried deleting the app and reinstalling but it keeps defaulting to his account. Can anyone offer a solution?
Hi all,I bought two Sonos Ones last week. Spotify works ok, but I can't listen to anything else through the system. I've trawled the web as much as I can stomach but no luck.Any suggestions to help me please? Jonny
Hi,I woke up on Monday to find 6 of my 8 Sonos devices missing from the app. All are wifi with DHCP reservations in my router. Other than an occasional hiccup, the system has been working well for a couple of years now. I upgraded to S2 a few weeks ago, and things seemed to be working fine intially.I’ve tried:Finding lost devices in the appRebooting all devicesRebooting wifi routerReinstalled the appHard reset one device - App will find the device and provision it, but it disappears once it’s back on the wifiI plugged a couple of the devices in to ethernet and it found them and updated the software, but once back on the wifi, they disappear There are no IP conflicts or anything else I can identify that would block any devices. All other network devices are working properly. I can see the devices in my router as connected and they show up on a network scan from a third-party program. I would appreciate advice because I’m out of ideas. Thanks!
Since a few weeks, my system constantly loses connection with my two sonos:1's connected as surround speakers to my beam. I have tried everything I can think of. Finding missing products, factory resets, router resets, disconnecting all other devices from LAN. Effectively, I cannot get decent surround sound anymore. Does anyone know other ways to get it to work again? I think something is wrong in the interaction between the Sonos S2 wifi management and the router wifi management. Thanks
Hey,Sonos Radio frequently pauses mid-song before resuming. Stops for about 2 seconds.Diagnostic report: 1071618161
Normally the alarm volume has propagated to all players in a group that is set to alarm, but this time one player reverted to last level.I sent a diag about 10 minutes after this happened, 884414119 don’t know if this still is valid.
My sonos sub, after working perfectly for over a year, started flashing a white light. I reset it, got the flashing green light, the sub connected to the wi-fi and I was able to have it appear on the app in the room where it belongs. However, it would not connect to the surround sound. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.
My Sonos Amp was working perfectly fine just the day before but now it does not have any light. I’ve tried various solutions (as well as the ones listed here) as well as the Sonos Assistant bot but to no avail. My amp is relatively new, bought less than 2 years ago - is this the regular life cycle of a Sonos product?
The most recent Zenwifi firmware update caused all my Sonos products (except MOVE) to stop working. I had to roll back to previous firmware. Once I rolled back, everything is working fine.
Sonos speaker volume increases randomly during song and songs will start from the beginning after midway. It seems to only do it on our Pandora account. SiriusXM and Spotify accounts don’t encounter this issue. We use many Ones (Gen 2) that are all connected to ethernet. Does anyone know what the issue might be? I sent diagnostics with conformation # 1663762162. Thanks,-Brandon
HI. My Ikea Symfonisk, after a power outage, the led is constatnly gast blinking white. I tried to perform factory reset, no success. Tried several times. Nothing helps to boot it and, just constant fast white blinking. Have 2 Ikea Symfonisk and only one of the failed, right after a power outage and return. I think that another way of hard \reset should exist, besides the pluging the power cord with held play button.I start thinking that the device has failed due to malfunctioning. I submitted diagnostic report with number: 1575565384, 3 hours ago. Any help is appreciated. I live in Armenia, and sending back the item to the States is not feasible. I purchased it online form the US Ikea.
Please enable the Sub in the surround mode for 3rd party speaker output. This would be a huge advantage for buyers of the Amp and would get you more purchases. It would be simple to do, it seems like its been disabled purposefully, which is a sad marketing move. Please enable this feature and make us proud of Sonos.
This is driving me nuts! On windows 10, I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the windows app, hooking up my sonos one directly to ethernet and changing my display settings over and over again only for the windows app to have smearing/glitchy graphics whenever i move the window or hover my mouse over text highlights. The graphics are ok when i open the downloaded app file but as soon as I reach "connect to existing system" or "new system" page the graphics get all screwed up from then on. Opening up the app and browsing the controller is a nightmare when all of the wording is smeared, flickered and smudged. Every other windows program/app displays fine. The problem only gets fixed temporarily when i re-install windows 10 and then it persists again. Someone please help me. I won't be able to purchase sonos Five speakers if this continues.
Hello I have 3 Sonos play1 and 1 play5I have also a mesh network TPlink Deco. The wifi signal is excellent in all the rooms and all the devices except sonos are working perfectly. There are 3 Deco unit in my house: Deco-main is connected to Internet and by Etherenet cabe to Deco-AtticDeco-Rooms is full wireless. The sonos Play-5 is connected (wireless) to Deco- Attic and it is very close to the Deco unit (about 1 meter) The 3 sonos play1 are connected to Deco-main (1 unit) and Deco-rooms (2 units)They are all very close to the Deco units (max 2 meters) and there are no walls between them. When I use air play, the sonos play1 connected to Deco-main is continuosly interrupting and itimpossible to use. Other service, like listening a file from my phone or tune in radio are working perfectly. Only air play is not working and it was tested with 2 different phones and 1 McBook air I need your help! :-(Thank you
I bought a Sony Bravia X90J today and configured it with my Soundbar + Sub, which was relatively easy. It works fantastic whilst the TV is on and the audio quality is great. The Soundbar connects to my Bravia via an optical cable.I also have a Play 1 in another room, so I often have the TV off and I will stream spotify through both Zones. Whenever the TV is off and I do so, the Soundbar+Sub zone audio intermittently drops out and I can’t figure out why.Software on all of the hardware items is up to date and I am certain the issue is to do with the optical cable as whenever I’ve taken it out and continued to stream music, it works. The issue also doesn’t happen whenever the TV is ON and I stream music through both zones, so it’s as if the TV is signalling something to the the Soundbar+Sub which interrupts the audio for a moment (as the other Zone continues playing the music whilst this happens).
