If anyone is having problems updating their Sonos 2 app after the update then here is what happened to me.After updating the app my system stopped working completely. The Virgin hub blocks certain sites including the Sonos servers from accessing it properly therefore creating problems with the app update and consequently drives us all insane trying to figure out what is going on. After many hours of investigation and trial and error I was told by Virgin that the DNS settings need to be changed but they cannot be changed by logging into the settings from your computer, they have to be done by Virgin - but if you’re using a MAC then you can change them as follows:Go to:’Settings’Network’ Select ‘Wifi’ Select ‘Advanced’Select ‘DNS’ in the tab aboveClick on '+’ add 8.8.4.4 within the empty field, (perhaps the other settings will work on other computers but this worked for me)Click on ‘Ok' and ‘Apply’ Delete and re-install the Sonos 2 app from the phone or device and it will work immediat
I have recently had poor buffering problems mainly when using Sonos system with Amazon Music. My Wi fi is BT running at 50 MB so quite fast. I dont have problems with the radio throug Sonos system e.g Gold or Smooth. To solve this I have just bought a Sonos Boost. It is much better but intermittent buffering problems are still happening. Is there anything else I can do. I am not very technical. I am running S1 with 5 speakers all 1st Generation. 3 x Sonos 5 and 2 x Sonos 3 and a Sonos Amp.
Hello, I´m having trouble with my network since I installed a sonos play 1 that my now ex-girlfriend gave me as a “present”. All my connected devices to my router are having some kind of issue… So, she comes out of the bleu with the sonos play 1 and says she wants me to have this… She a couple of these players at home so I let her installe the thing… a couple of days later there are issues with the wireless adaptor in my laptop. It tunrs out is been switch off and replaced with a virtual adaptor. I have a little knowledge about some stuff but not enough to fix it. So I google to find things out and learn. Then I stumble on a site about dns rebinding and that sonos play 1 is compatible for this… My question now is : Can somebody please try I explain me in no technical terms but in plain and simple Englisch, how to find out or check this device if it´s been prepared to rebind with another remote device ,server or something else. My data charts are hitting an all time high, blue tooth s
I have a Play 5 (gen 1) and just bought a Play 5 (gen 2) to be able to use new S2 app. With Play5 (gen1) I connected sound directly from computer 3.5 mm output via cable to Play5 (gen1) speaker and had no sound sync issues when watching e.g. Netflix/YouTube etc. Then I installed S2 and connected Play 5 (gen 2) and now I have sync issues, even with direct connection with 3.5 mm cable from Computer to Speaker. I set up S1 again, and unfortunately now also Play 5 (gen 1) has sound delay when playing video (Netflix/Youtube etc). Any ideas? I know the point of sonos is getting rid of cables….!
Suddenly since the last update my Roam does not respond with the Expected track ...
Hi, for some reason when I use the Sonos S1 search function on any of my devices (2 iPads and 2 iPhones) it doesn’t find anything.
I keep getting an error when trying to add my new Boost to my existing system. I tried adding it to the existing system both in wired and wireless mode and keep getting the error. I wonder if it’s something to do with our BT router which we’ve had issues with before adding items to the network.
Hello. Do the new Sonos speakers need to be plugged into the mains or is there a wireless version?thanksLJB
Aucune possibilité de connexion j’ai changé de router cette semaine et Depuis aucune possibilité de configuration mon bridge est introuvable même si branché directement sur le router
Hi,Suddenly my Spotify can't connect to my Sonos system. The Sonos speakers are greyed out. Restarted everything that could be restarted and still doesn't work. It works directly from Sonos app. Diagnostic: 1035883723
I’ve been woken up twice in two weeks with instrumental music playing, first at 3 am and then 2 am. It’s not music from anyone’s playlists. Here is the diagnostic.
Hey, since the v13.3 update, the multiple volume sliders are gone from the Android app when multiple devices are grouped. Setup: Phone → [Bluetooth] → Roam → grouped with other speakers. Before 13.3, each speaker within the group would have its own volume slider, and they could be controlled independently. With 13.3, I don’t even get the in-app volume control, but rather the phone’s default bluetooth volume control. When playing straight on Sonos (without BT/Roam as the source), it’s the same problem: no multiple sliders are shown when using the main slider. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.
Sonos:5 won't stop playing random music! The controller app doesn't think anything is playing, so happily plays along! It took a long time to pin down what was happening because it was playing on the lowest volume setting and I was going nuts thinking I was hearing things. It seems to be a free station so there are ads mixed in too.The controller app shows nothing is playing, and when I use the physical button on the speaker it turns off for maybe a second, then right back on. The volume buttons seem to control the “phantom” station independent of what I play through the app. I’ve read about the Spotify issue allowing other users (on or off your wifi), but I would have assumed I could still both see what was playing and change it if this were the issue - no?It is connected via wifi only (no ethernet or line-in).
Hi there - in the past week or so my Play:1 in my kitchen has noticeably started to crackle and I’ve also heard this on other speakers - it seems like it only is happening when playing SiriusXM I just realized. Any idea on how to fix this or what do to to correct it? It’s driving me slightly bananas!!Diagnostic confirmation number: 275800366.Thanks! Adam
I have changed the channel on Sonos (I have tried all 3 channels) although the music continues to drop out. Appears to be at the end of the song generally. Just skips to the next song. Any ideas to fix this?
My Sonos one hit a hard floor and is broken. The sound is distorted. Is there a place to fix it?
So since - I guess - att least a year back the Swedish letters å ä and ö are not recognized. Why? My Nas can see them, windows and Mac can see them. Sure I can get something like A Better Finder Rename and traverse the entire collection hunting for and renaming these songs. But why? This used to work. I never like when things that used to work stop working. Thanks in advance, Andreas
I upgraded a five zone s1 set up to an s2 set up and switched one unit to a Sonos Move. The Move unit will not stay connected to the Sonos App. I have a Unifi Network with multiple hotspots and I have strong wifi signal all over the house. So far I’ve tried three things 1) I switched the sonos channel from channel 6 to channel 1, 2) I made sure another sonos unit reasonably nearby is hardwired to the network and 3) I set the move to a fixed IP address.None of this has seemed to help. I have to turn the unit on and off 90% of the time i want to use it.If this is how it’s supposed to work, can I return it? If this isn’t how it’s supposed to work, can you give me further troubleshooting tips? The troubleshooting log confirmation number is: 1694109195.
Hi community!I bought a Sonos Move two weeks ago approximately. First day of use the battery light flashed red and I visited the vendor in mu country (Chile, Sound Advisor), after a week the vendor says my Sonos don't have any problem, the problem did'nt apper in his lab .Today I had time to test and I listened music "all day" and...The battery light flashing red again and after to conect in his charge base it normalize, Is it normal? . Battery charge lasted exactly 8 hours with an average volume of 40%. Is it normal? I expected 11 hours or at least 10 hours of music without charging.I appreciate your comments.Javier.-
I am quite angry about this issue and it’s been discussed at length in this topic, where I was provided with instructions on how to deal with this issue. I’ve done that. Done it many times. IT DOESN’T WORK!I have two entertainment systems, a nice 5.1 and 134” screen in the barn, where we have a lot of room, and a smaller one in the house. They’re both projection TV systems, which makes ARC almost impossible to use with them. I have to keep the one in the house on Line In to hear music from the TV.My main issue is that I have to keep this AMP on Line In. (And I loathe that Sonos will ONLY work with ARC and not just an HDMI signal - that would solve m problems, but it’s more important Sonos do things their way than allow a few options to make their expensive hardware work with different setups.) Often the AMP resets to HDMI.I’ve gone through settings and turned on Autoplay for Line-In. I’ve done it about a dozen times a this point. IT DOES NOT WORK. I said, in the other thread, it wasn’t
Hi there!I logged in to my account today, to check my System specs, because I wanted to by a Roam, to add to my current setup. [2 X Play:1 and 1 X Play:3]. I saw “Upgrade” next to my System items, and assumed that this was a software upgrade. I hit “Upgrade” and did not realise that this was for something else. Now, all 3 of my devices have disappeared from my System. So, does anyone know how to reverse this? I have no idea what I have just done, and I feel a bit pissed off and misled here by Sonos. Has anyone else had the same experience?
Hi! How long should a Sonos Move battery last?I called the support because in a test it lasted 8 hours at an average volume of 40%.The support told me that it was little. They recommended me to carry out a new test with the Move at 100% load and volume at 50%, it lasted 6 hours.I called the support and another person attends me and he tells me that it is normal.Who has the reason, first support (8 hours is not nornal) or the second (6 hours is normal)? The contradictions of the support take my breath away!
Good afternoon, I hope someone can help with this. I just got the Sonos Port and hooked it up to my turntable just fine. I have the INLINE connected directly to the turn table and the OUTLINE connected to the reciever. This allows me to play music from my phone to the receiver and play records through the port to my other sonos speakers. Two problems I have run into: When playing records, it streams to my sonos speakers but does not play out of my receiver to my wired speakers concurrently. Nor have I been able to switch it to run through the port and my receiver to come out of my wired speakers When streaming my turntable to my living room, it plays out of the ARC but does not connect to my sub nor my Sonos one speakers Is there an easier way to do this that I am not seeing?
My kitchen pair of One’s in stereo are Trueplayed and modestly set on bass/treble, but one of the speakers has an audible rattle whenever anything too bassy or loud passes through it. I’ve tried turning Trueplay off but it’s the same. I would guess that this is a hardware issue. Being at least a couple of years old, is this anything Sonos are likely to help me with or am I stuck with my faulty One!? Thanks for your help.
I bought the Arc soundbar + Sub Gen 3 last week. For the first couple of days, the system connected to my Pixel 3a. For the past several days, however, I have entirely lost my ability to connect to the system. I have tried restarting the soundbar and my phone. Nothing has worked. Any suggestions on how to troubleshoot?
