Let's talk about Sonos Connect, Connect:AMP, Sonos AMP, and setups using Sonance architectural, or your own speakers and components.

Hi Sonos, firstly "I LOVE MY SONOS SPEAKERS"! However I appear to have lost some of the small rubber feet from the Play 3 speakers I have. Please could you let me know where I can purchase some, as the SONOS rep at my local John Lewis does not know where I can. P.S. My favourite are the Play 1's - sleek and powerful
Can I connect a powered subwoofer to the Connect.Amp with 16 g wire or do I need to use an RCA Cable?
I recently bought a 5:1 Sonos home theater system and wondering the possible positions for the subwoofer and the best position. Can I place the sub woofer below the TV and Playbar in the entertainment center furniture? Any suggestions is highly appreciated
I have several SONOS SPeakers. Today I purchased sonos connect and connected it to my denon x4000 receiver. The sound quality is really bad. I connected into phono input. I have tried other inputs but no sound comes out. Can anyone help
Hi guys, I'm new to sonos but really happy to be part of the community. So far I've got sound bar, play 1s and sub. I notice these are powered up Individually with plug. My question is can these be left plugged in 24/7 For long periods of time or do they need to be turned off when not in use. Thanks for support Kro Brummie65
In a certain iTunes artist folder, I've got 16 albums, all imported from CDs. 3 were brought in as MP4, the rest WAV. Sonos "sees" the 3 MP4 albums, but not the WAV albums. Any ideas?
I have a Connect working well on two Play 5 speakers using the Audio line out from my Bose MC1 Media Centre. The play 5 speakers are in a seperate room to the Bose system (with its Bose speakers) I would like to now add the ability to play the streamed Sonos content through the Bose system, which I assumed would be a simple task of using the Sonos RCA line out as an input into a Bose audio input. Then selecting that input on the Bose system should work - it didn't ! I have tried disconnecting the Audio line in to the Connect in case of any conflict, but this made no difference. Any suggestions appreciated.
I am connecting devices wireless to my beamer via a Chromecast (HDMI). The beamer is hanging at the ceiling. The sound now comes out of the beamer. The beamer has a line out connection so I can connect my beamer to the headphone jack of my play 5, but then of course I need a cable from my beamer to my play:5. Of course this is not an acceptable solution. Hanging the play:5 at the ceiling isn't an option as well. Splitting video and sound from my device results in synchronisation issues + I would still need a cable from my device to Sonos. So what alternatives do I have to connect my beamer to Sonos? Isn't there a small device that only has a headphone jack and the ability to connect to the sonos network?
Is the boost device designed to be only hardwired to the network > or can it be used as a stand-alone signal repeater? Thanks!
Hi there- I just got a vinyplay, which hooks up to my sonos connect via audio cables (red/white). I also have two play 1s in one room and a subwoofer. For some reason, I can only get one of the play 1s to play. The other play 1 just has loud noise coming out of it, so I've unplugged the red cable entirely on the record player so to not send anything through to it. Any ideas? Thanks Zak
Hi Sonos, I got the Play 5s from you guys last week. Love the speakers but due to some unforeseen expenses, I can't really afford the speakers right now. How would I go about availing your return policy? Cheers!
Ability to play 24bit/96 files (like the competition: slimdevices transporter)
I know, this has been asked before I just can't find the answers. What are the technical differences and how is the listening experience between the two?
I like to leave my Sonos on all day and when we leave out of town. It always stops playing after several hours. ( we listen to Pandora or tunein radio stations). Anyone know how to fix this?
I have just bought a Play 5 and wanted to add this to add some extra sound to the existing Playbar connected to my television. I have set this up and experimented with grouping and tried to use surround sound with just one speaker. But none of this works well and I end up with a kind of echo effect. If I stream music however using them grouped it sounds great. So I am thinking this is due to the connections being different. The Playbar is connected to the TV by cable. Can anyone offer advice? I could buy a second for surround sound but obviously expensive and a bit OTT for the room size. I struggle to hear the TV as a bit deaf in one ear so the idea was to boost sound near me at the back of the room.
Is there a reason that the audio output from a TV would not work as input into a Component Audio Analog input? Thanks
Just bought a Mac Mini, have it hooked up to my TV by a HDMI cable. Also have an Apple TV hooked up to the same TV through another HDMI input. And lastly, I've hooked up my TV direct to my Sonos Playbar. The Playbar is working great through Apple TV, but when I'm using my Mac Mini - no sound is coming from the Playbar (not from web browsing or stored music & movies from iTunes). Any suggestions?
Dear Sonos community, 2 days ago I bought a new sound system for my living room. I wanted to get rid of all the wires that came with my old surround sound system so I made the switch to Sonos. I got the Sonos playbar, Sub and 2 Play 1 speakers. The playbar is the only one connected to my router via cable, the other 3 are connected wireless. The night after installing everything I noticed that Netflix had to load during movies and series on my TV (never had this before). Wireless internet feels slower as well. Since it happened just after installing the Sonos system I think that has to be the thing that slows it down. I have allready changed the channel of my wireless internet to channel 1 (read that in another topic) but haven't notived any improvement so far. I would love to keep the system as is and get the old internet speed back (or at least an improvement so Netflix doesn't have to reload the movie every few minutes. My internet connection: 150 Mbit download/s 15
Hello, I got a pair of Play:1 is there a chance to find out the generation of my Prodiuct. Thanks
Hi, At home, I have a few different networks with associated WiFi SSIDs (e.g. trusted, guest, IoT). I would like the Sonos device to be on my 'IoT' network but I want to be able to control it from devices on my 'trusted' and maybe 'guest' network, which, of course, use a different SSIDs ``. Unfortunately, when I try to control the Sonos from a device connected to a different SSID the Sonos App gives me a message effectively saying 'sorry, different WiFi name, can't do it'. Now, I don't think there is a technical reason for this block, because if (for testing purposes) I placed the App in one network and the Sonos in another then allow the correct ports between them but make sure their connected to the same SSID - it works (I did this test by connecting to my home VPN, which puts the App device in a different network). Anyway, short story, can I just tell the App or Sonos to ignore the fact that the SSID doesn't match because I know it will work anyway? Tried to exp
Has anyone been able to daisy chain two Play1's together as rear speakers? I only have power outlet on one side of the room and I was told by Sonos support that this is possible. However, I can't find a female to female figure 8 power cord to connect the two. Anyone found one of these? Thanks!
My sonos connect amp is flashing white and amber, I have disconnected the speakers and power. turning it back on it reverts to the amber/white blinking without speakers. With speakers attached it mutes itself. Is this a faulty unit or is there a remedy?
Does anyone here know how to connect my SONOS system wirelessly through my network to my Pioneer VSX-LX101 amp so I can play music throughout my home? Or do I need to connect another SONOS amp into my Pioneer amp?
I have a Connect amp plus JPW minimonitors (£60 ish 1994). Would one new play 5 be better sounding than new speakers costing about £300 for the connect amp? Or how much would I need to spend on speakers to match 2 new play 5s?
