I hear a constant noise in the speakers when they are plugged into the Sonos. When plugged in my iphone or my airport express Theres no noise at all. What can be the problem? Regards Jesper

Hi, I have a problem with the artwork of playlists on my iPad Pro. My music is on a NAS and when I call up my playlists on the iPad I get a screen as shown below. Even when I wait 5-10 minutes it remains pretty much like this. What is wrong and what can I do to remedy this situation? Should I submit a ticket?

I live in a semi detached bungalow. Would a Sub be worth getting bearing in mind the room being next to neighbours ?

Hi all. I've owned and been using Sonos as my primary stereo brand for a year or so now. I seem to keep spending a pretty penny on building more yet I lack a lot of basic understanding and functionality which I need to figure out. I have a soundbar, sub and 2 play 3's for surround sound (overkill I know but I got a good deal from a friend to upgrade upstairs on 5's and I like to just play music a lot downstairs through that system). That setup works great and I think I am for the most part getting all I can out of it. Upstairs I have an old pioneer receiver which I run my TV, record player, and cassette deck through a Sonos CONNECT. The revceiver is connected via RCA cables, the CONNECT is on the wireless network and the PLAY 5's are hard wired to the CONNECT with ethernet cords (in an effort to reduce the constant drop outs). I've had it setup this way for a while now and I've always had issues with it, to the point where I just leave it off to watch TV it's so bad. Even listening

Hi everyone, I've got a few questions about connecting my Riga RP1 Turntable to my Sonos network. Ultimately, I want the best and most authentic sound quality from my turntable and want to know whether there is any difference in sound quality between the following: Option 1 (my current set-up) - Riga RP1 connected to a phono preamp then use the line out to my play:5 Option 2 - Riga RP1 connected to a Connect:Amp then out to a pair of speakers Option 3 - Riga RP1 connected to a Phono Amp then out to a pair of speakers (then perhaps incorporate a Connect so that I can access Sonos though this system) Presumably, playing vinyl through my current set-up is using a digitally converted signal which I guess a true vinyl aficionado would say is a no-go. Does the Connect:Amp also convert the analogue audio output to a digital output before pushing it out of the speakers? Does the Connect:Amp support a Phono input or will I still need to use my preamp? Are there any vinyl enthusiasts

We have just bought Sonos play 1 for a month and at first it was ok but then all of sudden the bass sound just dried up so now music sounds v flat. Not sure if it is just faulty hardware

When I updated the Sonos app it left a couple of my speakers disconnected and they won't reconnect. This is strange because, although our bedroom speaker doesn't appear in the list of available speakers in the Sonos controller, it still turns on each morning at 6am in line with our daily alarm. So the system must still be connected to this speaker. When I go through the procedure to connect the speaker again, I get to the point where you have to press the two buttons on the top of the speaker. At this point the Sonos app clearly instantly reacts to these buttons being pressed because it switches to the next screen. It then tries to connect the speaker but always fails to do so and invites me to try again. I have rebooted the wireless network too and also reset the Bridge. Any ideas?

When one room is actively playing music and i walk into a room which is not, i would like to have a way to click a button on an inactive speaker in the room to group the inactive room with the active room with out opening a controller. Could be three clicks of the play/pause or if commands could differ for an inactive speaker, then double clicking play/pause when the speaker is not playing.

When I am in the amazon Alexa app and it is searching for wifi and Bluetooth devices the sonos play1 speaker doesn't show up. The play1 uses Bluetooth I thought or does do both wifi and Bluetooth?

Hi, I have read somewhere that if you have a playbar wired to your router it will act in the same way as a bridge. I have both, and both wired to the router direct with Ethernet cables. Do I actually need the bridge?

Hi all I have a Connect that is connected to my HiFi. I also have a variety of 1s and 3s scattered around the house. If I use my Android controller to select radio or music from my library or phone, all speakers seem to play very well, uninterrupted, fairly indefinitely. However, if I try and use the Line-In on the Connect, the whole system drops out. All speakers stop except the Connect and I cannot connect to the Connect (jeez!) with the Sonos Controller on my phone. Eventually, the Connect also stops playing. I then usually need to wait a significant length of time (tens of minutes) before the Connect is accessible again (unless I power cycle it). Is this something that's been seen before? Does it sound like the Connect is faulty? It is about 2 meters away from the wireless router - could it still be network/signal strength issues? Thanks for any advice all, bit disappointing I can't use the Line-In on the Connect - it's one of the reasons I purchased it. BBz

I have an old HiFi system of which the only components still working are the turntable and the CD player. I have recently bought two Play1s and a Connect because I want to listen to my vinyl collection again – I bought a preamp too. I’d also like to listen to my large CD collection and I know I could connect the CD player directly to the Sonos Connect. I also know I could rip the CDs to a hard drive and ditch the CD player altogether, but I don’t really have the time to do that! So the question is – is there any way of keeping the turntable and the CD player both connected to the Sonos Connect at the same time and switching between the two rather than having to unplug one from the Connect and plugging in the other?

I'm wondering if I can play Youtube (or any other source) sound over the speakers from my laptop... I am a brand new user and concerned that I am limited to just the Sonos-ready apps...

Hello Sonos Community, We recently bought a play5 and a connect for my folks. Now i want to connect an old sony amp (ta-a200) to the connect so that i can play a cd or lp and can hear this from both the speakers connected to the amp and from the play5. The amp has input lines for phono,tuner,cd and aux and two tape inputs. There are also two REC outputs for the tapes lines. Off course there are also speaker wire outputs onwhich two speakers are connected. Now I connected the line out from the connect to the line in (aux). So that works i can listen spotify on both play5 and my speakers. Now i want to play a cd or lp and here is where i can get all boxes play at the same time. I have used the line out from the amp (tape rec) and connected this to the line in from the connect. This works but only the play5 produces sound. Apperantly the amp can only output speakerwires or tape rec. If I unselect the Taperec I get sound from the speakers but not the play5. I am thinking to use th

To use the Connect:amp as a complete living room audio solution, it needs a digital input with its next hardware update. For example I would like to hookup my passive speakers to my TV, without having to manually turn on my receiver. In that case I would need digital input in the connect:AMP for easy setup, and then I wouldnt need a receiver at all and be able to stream music through the connect:amp without having to turn on the TV. It could be done just with a fiber optic input port, or even better with hdmi pass through. Of course with support for digital audio content like DTS. (I know that the playbar will do the job, but want to use my existing speakers)

Any plans for integrating Echo Dot technology in Sonos? I'd like to tell (speak) my Sonos systems to play certain tunes.

Hi, I'm planning to purchase a CONNECT:AMP to power some outside speakers, and I noticed it has audio INPUT. If I connect a device to this such as a CD player or turn table, can I then stream this input throughout the whole Sonos system (I have 3 different rooms connected) or only to the speakers connected to the amp? Honestly, I have the darnedest time finding a good pros and cons of using Play 1 or Play 3 as the rear in a 5.1 Surround Setup. I have currently have a 3.1 Setup (for you noobs that's the playbar + sub), a "spare" Play 5, it's usually in the garage but I will set it up outside in the backyard when we have parties, and the boost. Obviously in the inside, it is the Sub and Play Bar. The Speakers will either be wall mounted or on stands. If placed on stands will be about 1 feet (to a max of 2 feet) behind the main/centered sofa. If I wall mount, I have a few more creative options, such as placing them up a higher (I have ten feet "vaulted" ceilings) and more in the corners of the room, so everyone in the room gets a more surround experience. However, I know that opens up another can of of worms, but from what I read I am confident the true play will balance it all out. If I wall mounted, my hypothesis is to get the Play 3's but then my brain says that's just my ego compensating. So I am c

I just bought into the Sonos Experience on New Years. The sales rep. said their was rumor of the playbar..which led to my decision to buy (2) play 5's, in hopes that in the near future I could also use them for Hometheater experience. What I have read thus far concerns me. No mention of Play 5 combined with Playbar.?? Will they work, or did I make a mistake....??

I have a 300 disc CD player and was told I could use the Sonos Connect to play music through my Sonos Speakers. I don't know how to connect everything to make that work. HELP

Hi, I have some power amps here that don't have any volume control as such they were originally designed to be used with a dedicated pre-amp/DAC for volume control. Now I believe the Connect has volume control? I know the pre-out (RCA) voltage I require to achieve full volume from my amplifier. But I can't find what the expected output voltage is from the Connect at full volume when it is for example streaming from Spotify? I need to know that it is going to be capable of achieving a decent volume otherwise I will need to purchase an additional pre-out booster which introduces its own problems. Cheers, Luke

Hi all, I am new to this forum and just received and set up my SONOS Connect to replace 10-year-old Squeezebox SB3 . Pretty easy setup with my existing audio system and ethernet /wifi system within 15 minutes. I have issue with low volume from Connect despite set the volume to maximum from SONOS apps/desktop, playing from both music library, Spotify and iphone music. Volume dial was set at 40 of Krell KAV 400Xi integrated amplifier. With same volume setting, my previous SB3 can play a louder music. Please note I am using Coaxial output (digital) to Cambridge Audio DacMagic then to Krell. Nevertheless, the sound produced from Connect and my current audio setup is much warmer, crystal clear than previous SB3, just the volume at Integrated Amp need to set higher. Not a big issue, just curious why... Please advise.

How do I adjust treble and bass?
