I'm considering getting a Sonos setup, but already have some nice wired speakers I want to keep in one of the rooms. My questions is, can I connect these to the Connect:Amp along with some Play 1 speakers and have them all play together? I'm worried there could be some delay between the wired speakers and the wireless speakers.

Hi, this topic and question has been asked before and is a wanted request for the users or potential users of a Sonos connect. We want to have the possibility to trigger an external amplifier connected to the Sonos connect from standby to ON as well as back to standby then not playingi music so we dont have to run the amp 24/7. Is this function now in the plans for future development and to be released in the near future? Software solution or new hardware (new connect). A new hardware with a 12v trigger seem to be a simple 2015 upgrade? 🙂

I have a ZP90 bought in 2009.The main reason (initially) was it gave bit perfect sound and I found it is easily better than CD provided you rip with EAC. I now want a second one. However, looking on here for the first time in a while it seems the Connect isn't bit perfect. Seems strange, but it appears my old ZP90 is better than the current Connect. My question is this: If I buy a second hand ZP90 is it guaranteed to be bit perfect?

Have not seen this standard anywhere, it does not fit on usual suspects, PC mainboards pci-e, pci and it's way too big for any laptos, is it some industrial std or what, label do not give even partial hits. Maybe it's custom made card for Sonos, it's is possible but very expensive. One this interests me, how are they able to keep hackers out and users in, if they would use std computer parts, they be hacked within first 48 hours. Custom parts keeps huzzlers out and customers in because that is the hardest part, maintaining loyal user base that generates steady income and positive cash flow.

Hi, I'm planning on buying a Connect so I can use it with my current turntable setup. It occurred me that I can get rid of my Samsung HW-K430 (soundbar + subwoofer) if I connect my TV (Samsung KS8000) via optical input. Anything I should be aware of? Will this work or should I be looking for something else? Thanks!

I read that SONOS is concentrating their efforts on streaming instead of hardware. So I'm wondering from a hardware standpoint, is SONOS a dead end hardware-wise? The really havent released any thing new except for the Sonos Boost, mostly been hardware/software up dates. Although SONOS works flawlessly for me, other manufactures are developing their system, typically with improved loudspeakers etc

Where can i get a new power supply for my Sonos Bridge?

I am new to Sonos, I have purchased the 'Boost" and 5.1 system for my main audio video area, and plan on adding a Play 3 and Play 5 to other rooms, as well as a "Connect" at my turntable. Currently I have no drywall up so running wires are easy. I know the Soundbar needs to be connected to the tv & network. My question is should I hard wire the play 1's to the network switch with the Playbar, or do a separate small switch only for the playbar, and plays 1's, and future "Connect", that hooks up directly to the Boost that is connected directly to the router? I know not all speakers need to be hardwired, I just figured since its really no effort at the moment it would not be a bad idea. BTW I am not planning on wiring the sub woofer.

SONOS needs to make a new or additional version of their CONNECT model. Call it the CONNECT+ or something. It should contain better DA conversion, and much better AD conversion. A 12V TRIGGER IS A MUST so you can turn on an amplifier remotely and use the CONNECT+ as a simple preamp. With Denon now creating a near knock off system in regards to features (minus the separate mesh network) but with a 12V trigger, folks with more complex systems might choose their solution instead.

Hi there. So, I have an Nvidia Shield, and 3 Play:1's (one of them is being used in the kitchen only). I really want the sound from my shield (when using Kodi etc) to go out through the Play:1's I know this is not possible without another Sonos Product. This is why Im strongly considering buying the Connect. My question for you is: Will I be able to output sound from my Nvidia Shield, when the Connect is plugged into my Smart tv?

Hello, I use 2 play 1 at home et I would like to add a Connect, maybe a used one. I would like to know if there been different versions of Sonos Connect? If so, how do we recognize them and what are the risks, if any, of acquiring an old model? thank you in advance

I'm looking to add my B&W 805 speakers to my Sonos system. Currently I have a sonos connect and a independent Rotel power amp which I used to use to power the speakers from my old non sonos system. #1) Do I need the Rotel power amp to power my BW speakers or can I go from Sonos Connect direct to my B&W speakers. I recently got a sonos soundbar and sub. I am thinking about purchasing a project turntable to play my vinyl on, i am unsure if i need to purchase the sonos connect or will my exist amp suffice.

Hi, Sonos aside, what I'm trying to describe is how a song sounds when you listen to it with only 1 speaker (of a 2 speaker pair) activated and you can only hear one "half" of the song in that speaker. The leading instruments (as an example) sound muted, as they are supposed to be played out of the second speaker. This effect is happening on my solo Play 1 speaker, albeit only for certain songs. Hello. First post. Would appreciate some advice as I'm having difficulty finding anything online about this that isn't excessively technical. I'm streaming tidal via Sonos Connect, Sonlink arcam DAC, Arcam AR29 amp and KEF LS50s and Monitor Audio BXw10 sub with decent quality cables and stands etc. Would the modified Connect make an improvement in sound that would justify the expense?

My Connect Amp is flashing white and Orange. I submitted diagnostic information; Your confirmation number is: 7106534. I disconnected speakers and tried to play music with controller, still flashing even white.orange.white.orange. Any help would be appreciated.

I would really like some of the speakers and/or connect devices to have a display. I'm slowly replacing my Squeezebox components and really miss a display and local controls. I do not want to have to have my smartphone or ipad every time I want to change music. Let's get some serious kit made to be real HiFi components... I need a viable replacement for my Transporter.

I have only 1 digital out on my Sony TV, I use a fiber optic cable to connect with soundbar. I've purchased a Sennheiser RS195 wireless headphone set up. It has a optical input too. Since only output on TV, I guees I need a splitter 1 inpu, 2 output I also understand with using a splitter either my sound bar must be off or RS195 off. Any way around that? Any recommendations?

Why are there 2 ethernet connections on the soundbar. I don't use either one, but I could I do have a network connection I could use, any advantage of using that over wireless?

Hi, We are in the process of buying a house that has one set of speakers with control pad (called Systemline E50). We cannot add to the system so my plan is to take the pad out and use Sonos instead (but still use the speakers that come with the system in the ceiling. I would want to use a sonos to control what is played through these speakers (but I want to add some outdoor speakers). I believe I will have to find the speaker wire and plug it into a Connect: AMP. We apparently have wiring outside to connect outdoor speakers. My plan is to use the Connect: AMP for both of them and get a switch such as QED SS30. I want to play either the same music in the living room and outside but also have the option of playing them separately. i.e. A & B, A or B. My Question: I want to know that if I buy the following if they will work together and achieve what I'm looking for. I'm limited on space and for a cable management, I need to mount the Connect upside down in my desk. Any concerns? I'll be using the 10 lbs, super heavy duty velcro. Does the connect get hot at all? I'll be hard-wiring it.
