I have a connect amp with connect wired speakers, what do I need to do in order to add wifi speakers - ac powered

I have a play 5 gen 1 that I bought a while back that wont turn on. Since I cant turn it on, its still connected to the sellers account, which means that I cant reset it. Is it still possible to use the trade up program for me even If I cant turn it on and connect it to my account?

Add an extra speaker for another room ?

Which combo would give the better sound given they would be the same cost - a move or two ONES (Or a ONE and a ONE SL) - I like loud and EDM.,Appreciating the portability benefits of the move of course. I have a large room to fill - 7x5m with vaulted ceiling. Will get a PLAY 5 eventually but for now which is the better of the two options above please? Can’t seem to find this answer anywhere! Thanks!Also, when I have the play 5, which combo would go best with it then - a move or the two ONES?

Hi,Currently I have 1 x Sonos Play 1 speaker but might be looking to add to that in other rooms.I also have an old CD / Cassette / Radio stereo which is on it’s last legs.Can anyone please tell me if any of the Sonos speakers / products have a BUILT-IN CD player?I don't want to buy loads of kit to play my CDs and if Sonos can’t provide a single bit of equipment I will probably buy something else. I also want it to be as small as possible to fit on a window sill!Any advice gratefully received. Thanks you. 

When wall mounted, the up down buttons are essentially reversed compared to the other units in the house, causing me to skip the wrong way or adjust the volume the wrong way. It would be great to have a setting that allows you to reverse the order.

Please excuse the incredibly nooby question, I’ve just started to make enough money to try and build a decent hi-fi system (edit: sorry I meant home theater).So I recently bought 2 One’s to work as a surround sound set up (as the rear channels). I’ve currently got 2 powered bookshelf and I want to sync it up to the pair of one’s that I just bought. Now I’ve been doing some research but I’m still not a 100% clear if I need the Amp or the Port. From what I understand the Amp is necessary for passive speakers and provides surround sound capabilities, whereas Port works with powered speakers but doesn’t(?) support surround sound with the One’s. Rather all it does is add multi-room streaming capabilities. So I just want to clarify whether or not the Port can enable surround and if it can’t, will there be a problem using the amp with my powered speakers?Bonus question: Currently my 2 powered speakers are connected to my turntable via phono preamp. Buying new tv. My old tv always worked in Dolby when sound was straight from tv but not with the PlayStation or virgin media.  I recall finding it it was a problem with that tv so want to avoid it this time .  Any advice on what tv to get ?

Hello I just purchased a Sonos Beam and I am having a hard time getting it to work with my Samsung Frame TV.  I used my own HDMI cable as the one provided wasnt long enough to fish through the wall to hide. So i have the hdmi cable plugged into the soundbar and into the HDMI ARC port on the connect box.  But on the app, it says that no HDMI ARC is detected.  I tried unplugging and plugging both the Sonos Beam and my TV and it still wont work. Whats weird is that if i play around with the volume on the app, the sound will play on the beam but will cut out after a few seconds and wont come on until I play with the volume again. Is there a work around or a trick to make this work?  I feel like its just not compatible and may have to return the beam but it just sucks cus of all the hard work I did to fish the cables through the walls. Please help!  Thanks!!   

My home has built in home-theater wiring already installed. Is it possible to power a Sonos SL using the pre-existing in-wall speaker wiring? This would enable me to mount the speaker on the wall without a power outlet close-by.

Today I bought the move model speaker and I received the email confirming my purchase. The problem is that the company didn’t withdraw money from me but just 1 euro, and also if I go in my account under orders, it doesn’t show my purchase but it says “no orders have been made” (something close).Does anyone know the reason of this facts? Please help me 

I currently have two non-sonos in-ceiling speakers above my TV that are wired into a utility closet no where near the TV.  My TV is hardwired into the same closet with Coax and Cat5e but no HDMI or anything else.  I was told previously that if I get a Sonos Connect Amp in the closet and connect the two speakers and then get a Sonos Beam to connect to the TV that I could then sync the Connect and Beam together and control the Connect from the Beam.  Is that correct?  Is there a cheaper way to solve this with non-sonos products(I know this is probably not the right place to ask this :/).  It seems like a relatively simple problem to solve and I definitely don’t need anything fancy, just looking for functionality at this point but I don’t have much audio knowledge to know how to approach the issue. Thank you!

Hi ,  I’m going to buy a Sonos system and I’ undecided whether to pair Beam sound bar with Sub or with a couple of One’s.My room is not so big (20mq) , usually I watch movie and listen music and I will install SUB or ONE near to Bean. I have had the opportunity to listen  the ARC with a Sub and it’s impressive, but I think that is to much for my room and my budget. any similar experience or suggestions?   

Hello, I’m trying to figure out if my Sony TV KDXE7096 (2017 model with HDMI ARC) is able to pass-through Dolby Digital Plus signal from Apple TV 4k. The manual says exactly the following “Dolby Digital Plus Out: Select [Auto] to pass through Dolby Digital Plus stream to ARC when Dolby Digital Plus is available through connected Audio System.” Has anyone tested on a similar TV and what are the results? Is lossy Atmos format in Dolby Digital Plus available? What about Netflix Tvs native app? Does it work with DD+ atmos? I haven't purchased the arc soundbar yet but I want to make sure that’s worth the investment. Thanks

Hi, Im planning on setting up a sort of home theatre in my living room, without it dominating the whole room. Plan is to have a motorized screen mounted to the beam going across the middle of the room (see picture), so that is not very visible while not in use.Since the scrren will be in the middle of the room, there will not be a wall or any furniture to place a sound bar or audio system. Any speakers / sound system would have to be mounted on the same beam, or in the ceiling. What do you guys think would be a good setup for this? I havent used Sonos systems before, so not familiar with the different products and wheter og not they work well together. We dont want the system to dominate the living room while not in use, so my thought is two smaller speakers on each side of the projection screen. - Can i use two “ONE SL" speakers and have them work together to provide stereo sound? - Would it be better getting a soundbar and mounting it in the roof or above the screen? I’m in the strange situation I have bought some Sonos equipment and not yet hooked it up. I have two Sonos 1 speakers - 1 with mic, 1 without - and the cheaper soundbar. The playbar was just too expensive and sounded like more than I need, I have a modest living room I’d guess is 200-250 square feet. Now the playbar is on sale for a more affordable $500, and I’m wondering, would it be worth considering buying that and selling the cheaper one?

Does the upgrade still brick the old product or did Sonos stop doing this and let the old product still work? I thought they had allowed the old one to keep going but cant find any confirmation of this?If it is bricked, at what point does this happen?I have selected one of my products to upgrade and don’t want to now. I would like to create a stereo pair with Sonos One Gen2 andanother Sonos One Gen2 Sonos One SLWhat do you think, witch option is better? I think 1 Assistant in a room is enough, but for the future, isn't the One SL a disadvantage against better equipped /memory, cpu/ Gen2?
