What to get

Bad enough that you decide to wipe out our investment in sonos hardware, So now I got around to upgrade and my ‘legacy’ items shows as already upgraded, Only, I did not order  upgrade or receive anything. Does that mean that you are have decided to send me some new stuff for free?

I ordered a Sonos speaker from Sonos and DHL have emailed me to say it has been stolen from the depot help? Can’t get through on the phone or email 

I am trying to understand if the idea of using Sonos Outdoor Speakers inside is just ridiculous.  I want to put 2 on-wall mounted speakers and a subwoofer in my kitchen, which will be wired to a Sonos Amp.  It would be exclusively for playing music, not AV/theater.I had intended to buy 2 Bowers & Wilkins M1 satellite speakers. But they are only rated for 20W – 100W, and the Sonos Amp says “speakers’ power rating should be at least 125W for 8 ohm speakers.”The Sonos Outdoor Speakers would be ideal in terms of size, design, and compatibility.  And they would be easily mountable with the FastMount brackets.  They’d be the perfect solution for my setup, but I just don’t know if they would be any good indoors.  I’ve not been able to find a comparable set of on-wall speakers, and I don't want to put boxy bookshelf speakers on a wall-mount, like the Pinpoint AM-41.  Thoughts? Other recommendations?Thanks.

Hi All,I’m considering getting a sonos soundbar, but have a couple of questions.  I currently have an old Yamaha YSP2200 Sound Projector.  It’s a reasonable (if old) piece of kit, but it’s just so complex and has so many settings and i’m looking for something simpler.  The frustration with it is that it’s really better for a nice perfectly shaped room with a setup against the flat part of the wall in the middle.Therfore I have 2 hopefully simple questions.. It’s a medium sized lounge (certainly not big), but the TV is in the corner.  Is the ARCs ATMOS setup a little lost on a lounge format in this way or would the BEAM be good enough.  In other words am i diminishing the benefit of the ARC so may as well get the BEAM.  it seemed that way with the yamaha. Either way (from what i understand), you still do the trueplay setup.  With the yamaha, and it looks like it’s the same here, you set it up for a single seating position.  This means the result would vary if you were sitting in differe

I’m not seeing any wall mount offered on the Sonos site, so I wonder if anyone has a recommendation for a third party unit. Thanks.

My speakers are great but lack bass, can I pair them with the sonos sub? or do I require additional equipment. I guess my question is : do these little speakers work well with the sub or just not enough? thank you

Hiya guys , I’m thinking of upgrading my Sonos sound bar to the Sonos arc , I’ve the sub gen 2 and 2 play ones , will the sub and play ones all pair up with a new Sonos arc ? I’m fully aware I need to update my tv to get the full immersive sounds etc but for now thinking of getting the arc to eventually have the Dolby atmos . Cheers guys 

I considering Sonos for streaming music and home theater use.  Good sounding music a little more important than the home theater experience.  I would Wi FI stream Spotify to the Sonos speakers for music as I don’t have a receiver.  Home theater would come from the cable box or BluRay player.  Seems like there are different solutions for music and home theater.  Any suggestions?  

Hi all, Hoping to get a little bit of feedback about a couple things related to surrounds. I have a Beam and Sub in my living room and I am thinking about adding some Ones as surround speakers. However, I’m wondering if its worth it if I can’t place them in an ideal location. My living room is about 14 x 16 feet or so. I would likely have to place the surround speakers in the spots marked in the picture. I welcome any insight! 

I’ve just added surrounds to my Playbar and noticed that on most channels they don’t work. Upon checking on my system the Playbar is receiving PCM 2.0, channel 5HD seems to broadcast PCM 5.1 as do the movie channels and Netflix and then of course they work fine . My question is does the sub need a 5.1 feed or will it work on a 2.0 signal? Thanks in advance 

I currently have a Play 1 and Play 3, which I know are older and not compatible with the newest of apps for Sonos. I am considering getting a Sonos Beam.  Questions are, will my existing speakers link together with the Beam should I purchase one? Or will they require different apps to use them due to older ones age?

HiIs the HDMI cable supplied with the Beam the same as the one supplied with the Arc ?ie 2.1 Have upgraded and would save some hassle changing as cables hidden.Thanks

Hello, I have a pair of Sonos Five’s in white that I want to mount about 7 feet off the floor.  Would these Vebos Mounts angle them down enough or should I go with the flexon vertical mounts available on the Sonos site. https://www.vebos.co.uk/vebos-wall-mount-sonos-five-rotatable-white-vertical.html thanks in advance 

We purchased the new Sonos Brand speaker stands for our Sonos Ones.  We place them behind the couch for surround sound.  They are too low/short.  We should have bought the Sanus adjustable ones but we are stuck now.  I need about 6 more inches.  Can’t really find a proper looking riser the raid them.Does anyone know if Sonos sells a longer “pole” for these?  First world problems I guess but annoying either way. 

Hello,I have two Play:1 speakers (Sonos OS:S2, version 12.2.1, build 61183170, hardware version  1.20.1.6-1.1, series ID A200). I’m thinking about buying the current Beam that’s on sale for my TV. Would I be able to use the two Play:1 speakers as “surround sound” (i.e., place them on end tables on either side of the couch) with the Beam?Thanks!

I currently have a Connect as input to a Yamaha sound bar w/ sub with a Samsung TV. I’m thinking of replacing the Connect and Yamaha with a Beam. That means I have two fewer things to plug in and take up space in my small den. I thought I’d use the Connect to feed music to the Yamaha system but I just never do.I will keep my two paired Play:5’s in my kitchen and a Play:3 in my home office. Those are on WIFI.My Connect is connected to my router via ethernet and would do the same with the Beam. My TV has ARC. I don’t really think I’ll miss my current sub. I’m really after better voice clarity on TV (sucks to get old!).My question….Is this all a seamless setup...Beam, 5’s and 3? Does having the Beam on ethernet buy me anything?Thanks. 

Please assist :) Sonos AMP is pretty old but still very good.I can't move the amp due to the wooden custom made cabinet :\Also there is no ethernet cable there, all wireless… help me :)

We have a large Great Room (kitchen/living combo) that I am looking to get Sonos for.  My issue is that we host football on Sundays and when people get louder in the kitchen area I end up cranking my soundbar up and deafening the people in the living area so the kitchen people can hear.  I am looking for a setup that allows tv sound to be equally presented in all speakers. (I want to be able to have a soundbar and other speakers but I don’t want the other speakers to be “surround sound”) to summarize I want to know of options to have my tv sound be equal in all speakers in my larger great room, not picky with what the speakers are.

I want to ship Sonos as a gift, but there is not gift wrap option and I want to make sure the box doesn’t say what it is...

I need a 3m long hdmi cable for my ARC to replace the 1.5m one that came with it to reach other equipment. I think I've read somewhere that Sonos supply these or would an after market high speed one do just as well?

Hello,I’ve 4 Sonos Play1 and I’d like to buy a new Gen 1 o Gen 2 to use Apple Air Play, will I be able to play my music using Apple Air Play to all the the 5 speakers

Currently, I am connecting my PlayBar with TV via digital audio output  I am looking for brand new TV.  Is it a must that the new TV must have the digital audio output? Can I use the HDMI-ARC to connect my PlayBar with the new TV w/o the digital audio output? For assistance 

HiI am replacing my PlayBar with a Sonos ARC and have discovered that the mounting kit of the latter is much slimmer than the former.Therefore, once fitted, I am going to be left with holes in the wallpapered wall (this is a VERY bad situation for me to explain to my wife).I will be looking to get a slim strip of metal to fix along the top of the SONOS mounting kit to hide the holes, but will need to get it spray painted.Can anyone advise what the RAL Colour of the Black Sonos ARC is?Thanks

Hi- New to the community here.  My question:I have an older Connect Amp that currently powers 2 pair of wired outdoor speakers and 3 Sonos One networked speakers indoors.  I am looking to add a subwoofer and a soundbar.  Will my existing Connect Amp power these new additions?

Hi, I’m new to the forum. Thanks for fielding my question. I have a Beam for the tv and it works well. It’s not bad for music, but I’d like to improve its breadth and depth. I know a lot of people would say for music, two Fives would be the best combination. But, I already have a Beam, and the Sub and One SL is currently on sale in Australia, where I live. It would be cheaper for the Sub and two One SL’s to add to the Beam than to buy two Five’s.  I know a Sub with Ones would not produce the mid range for music that Fives would.  But, would the Beam do a good job at this role, while the Sub takes the bass and the Ones take the higher frequencies?In a Beam/Sub/One SL combination, would the Sub take over the bass frequencies from the Beam (leaving it free for midrange) and the Beam leave higher frequencies to a pair of One SL’s? Or, does it not work this way?Does anyone use this combination for music?Thanks.
