Is upgrading to Arc from Beam worth the extra expense?Now I have a 5.1 setup with beam, Sub (gen 2), 2x Ones as rears.Recently I have upgraded my TV to LG OLED GX55 which supports Dolby Atmos through eARC. I mostly watch movies and series on Netflix, Apple TV+ or blu-rays, game on Xbox Series X (supports Atmos in trueHD) and listen to music a LOT.I created this topic because now that I have a TV that supports Dolby Atmos I feel like I might miss out on the experience having a beam instead of the ARC.Has anyone maybe upgraded already having full 5.1?Thank you in advance for all the answers.

I’m interested in purchasing an Arc but have read several reviews wherein owners of certain Samsung TVs are having issues with compatibility.  I have a 2019 65” Q80 TV.  It has no eArc HDMI port, but does have an Arc HDMI port.  Are there issues I should be aware of and can I be assured that I can experience ATMOS?Thanks,ZJS 

I have got a sonos home theater system with the playbase but I'm now thinking about replacing it with the arc.Will I be blown away by the difference or upset for spending £800???Please help  Simon. 

Hello guys, hello Sonos!I would like to ask you what I need to buy for my whises? I want to have 5.1.2 system (DolbyAtmos) but I will have everything connected to a smart installation (GIRA).WIHSES:I don’t want to have a rear speaker for the sofa (only in wall - see in picture - ‘’stenski zvočnik’’) I would have two speakers above the sofa (see in picture -‘’stropni zvočnik) I would also prefer to have speakers in the wall with the TV (see in picture - ‘’stenski zvočniki’’ but I do not know if it is necessary. what is the sound from the wall speakers? it is better? So over a couple years I have collected several Sonos products. My current setup is a Sonos beam (my first Sonos purchase) in front, two play 5s as rears and a gen 3 sub.  I want to upgrade my system again but I’m not sure if it would be better to replace the beam with the arc or just get 2 play 5s up in front with the beam. What do you guys think? What will sound better?

Can I buy longer mains cables for Play:3 speakers?  I need 3m cables at least. What types of connector goes into the back of the speaker?Can anyone post a pic?

Please see the attached blueprint of our living room. My plan is to acquire Sonos Arc and setup Sonos Ones as surround speakers next to the sofa.What I wonder here is whether it is a waste of money to get Arc as left to the tv there is no wall, just a corridor? Also the back wall is not straight. Any thoughts are appreciated. 

I'd love some Sonos planning advice. I have a Beam and two ikea speakers for the TV room and they work great. I would like to extend the sound into the outside this summer around the patio and pool area. In the past I had put a bunch of Alexa devices around and put them in a group - and put an alexa in the tv room with an input to the beam in the same group for music everywhere.To move my Sonos outside for the summer I could get 4 Sonos outdoor speakers ($2K) and amp ($800) plus wiring (not good) and still missing voice commands. I am wondering if getting 4 Sonos Roams ($920), keeping them plugged in and mounted is a good option. Can I put them in a group together, and then use the Alexa function from anywhere to play Spotify/Tunein etc. Also like Airplay/Bluetooth option if I can then play the connection on all four Roam speakers?I assume I could play outside as well as both inside/outside together. Would Alexa play nice with multiple Roam devices?Any other ideas/advice? Goal is to wa

I have a Sonos AMP connected to an in ceiling speaker in the Master Bathroom.  I wanted more power and sound out of it as it gets drowned out by the shower running.  I put up 2 Sonos Ones.  The option is for surround sound, but now the surround sound base doesn’t make it sound as clear.  It sounds heavier base, like the volume from the surround is stronger than the main AMP in Ceiling speaker.  So my thought was to have 3 speakers - like a center, and 2 bookshelfs.  Is there a way to create 3 speakers (and not surround speakers) so its the same quality that can produce higher volume and sound?  I would prefer not to have the speakers listed as 2 rooms in my app to get that result, or should I just deal with it?  I probably should have just put in 2 ceiling speakers but this is where I am at.  I can adjust - most important to me is the quality of the sound and not the cost.

hey sonos - when r u going to get your supply chain filled? ... making your customers wait two months is an opportunity for them to leave u behind.. given the number of substitutes available these days. Also, u are killing your custom installer market..  our distributors have no status on product shipments.. naddaI have 12 items all on  back order  now..ordering a SONOS AMP thru your own store shows a shiopment date the end of MAY- really? 

Completely revamping my home theater, formerly wired 7.1 Klipsch to Denon AVR- S730H supporting a 55” non-Atmos Samsung. Looking to go smaller and (as much as possible) wireless (minimal wired connections going back to a central location) --- and definitely want to go Atmos (at least 5.1.2, but optimally 7.2.4 or 9.2.4, with Atmos channels firing up rather than emanating from ceiling speakers or true height channels).So, do I even actually need a receiver at this point? If I were to upgrade to a 2019 or 2020 65” OLED/Atmos LG with a single Blu-Ray player, do I even need a receiver? Or can I just go full Sonos with the TV as the Atmos processor for itself and the Blu-Ray player? I’m currently looking to begin my outdoor landscaping project and that comes with installing my outdoor speakers. There is no doubt these speakers will tie in to my home system as it currently has 9 amps. 2 arcs, and a port powering various different areas throughout my home. That being said I am tossed up and quite frankly not educated enough to make the right decision. Best Buy is currently packaging and selling the Sonance MAG series with an Amp at some pretty great prices. My confusion comes with the pricing. To the naked eye, the Mag 4.1 system and amp is $2,700 while the 6.1 system is $1,500. My fear comes that the power on the 6.1 will not be sufficient and being that the yard is very large, and there are no neighbors nearby, I want some good volume. The 4.1 system is rated for 250W @ 8 ohms while the 6.1 is 150W @ 5ohms. Can someone shed any light and knowledge on this for me? Which is the best system for me? Should I forgo the amp and use a port with a more powerful amplifier?

I quite happy using my Playbar for films etc. and intend to eventually buy the Sub.Can i use a pair of Play Ones, placed either side of my TV for music or can i do better with a pair old 3’s or even a pair of 5’s?  I’m setting up a TV/HiFi system in my new Mancave and I’ve read that i can’t have the 2 music speakers playing when watching films etc as they will lag?  Correct? Not too bothered if i can't but just want the best music sound, bang for buck. Thanks 

Hello,I have two “Polk Audio Patio 200” outdoors hooked on a Sonos Connect. It covers one area of the yard really well. I have another area of the yard that I would like to cover, only a few feet away from the left Polk speaker. We can hear the music but I'd have to crank it up high, which is not cool for the neighboors.The simpest idea would be to extend the speaker wires out to a third speaker, but part of me tells me it's a stupid idea:I'd only get the left side of the stereo (which might be acceptable- I don't expect high audio quality there, I already have indoors for that). The sonos amp would have to power two left speakers with the same output vs one right speaker. I could also get 2 new speakers so at least it's even on each side. I am pretty much posting here for someone to confirm it is stupid…If so, then what are my options? I could get a standalone Sonos, but Sonos don't do outdoor speakers (It's out of the rain but don't know how long a Play One would survive outside) and

Hi all, recently moved into a house with the NUVO Concerto system and looking to update the source systems (currently runs off a computer CPU with music folders...). I just want to know if I can plug in a Sonos Port into the basic RCA source inputs or if this particular amp will be to out of date. Ideally I can control music and volume from the Sonos app rather than the NUVO control panels on the wall in each room for the in-ceiling speakers. Hoping I don’t need to update the multi-zone amp.

Hi guys,I am waiting to get my hands on the Sonos Arc when it becomes available on the 14th of May (Eastern Europe), looking to create a 100% Sonos Home Theater setup.My living room is 25sqm and the distance to the tv is 3.5m. Main use: 85% movies, 15% music. I was thinking of getting the ARC, Gen3 Sub and 2x One SLs; The surround speakers would sit to my left and right.I do have a few questions though:Would the Sonos Five improve the experience greatly in order to make it worth the extra money? Can I get and use also 2x Sonos Fives as dedicated front L/R speakers + the ARC in front of the TV + Sub + 2x OneSL for surround?  How many speakers can you connect in total to the ARC? can I make it 7.1.2? or 9.1.2?  How well does the speakers deal with bass? My room has poor acoustics and the bass from the subwoofers is amazing when sitting directly in front of the tv but 100% absent when moving elsewhere. I couldn't find a better placement for the old subs in the old HT systems I've had.Look

Does anyone know if their is a difference between the Sonance SR2-125 amp and the Sonos Amp?  I have the Sonance Mag 4.1 patio series speaker system and can see that they are sold with either the Sonos Amp or the Sonance SR2-125.  Can someone explain to me what the difference is?

Hi all, A client of mine has to install an audio system in the basement floor of his house where an indoor swimming pool is located. The room is aprox. 10 meter x 6 meter (32 ft x 16 ft) which part half is occupiedby the pool. My idea is to install 2 Sonos Five in the two corners and in the middle on Sonos One to let him to control the system by voice.What do you believe? I am trying to figure out a design that will work with primarily using line in for a turntable and music stored locally on my phone (occasional Spotify streaming too). I am new to the Sonos ecosystem and some things are still a bit opaque to me.For Sonos products that offer line in, I see there is the Amp, the Five, or discontinued Connect. I'm not sure what purpose the amp would serve for line-in though, since the Five also offers line in, is cheaper than the amp, AND is a speaker.Here is what I'm thinking for the setup: 1x Five (instead of the Amp), a pair of Ones, and the sub, and have this all be one group. May add a beam for the TV at some point. I'd likely get a $50 stereo mixer and have that go line-in to the Five. Phone with local files, turntable, maybe my DJ mixer, would all be connected to the stereo mixer that goes into the Five.Does that sound like an ideal setup or are there other things that I'm not considering? Listening environment is: Massive downstairs area, with kit
