What to get

I have recently bought a Sonos five for a large room (5 metres wide by 12 meters long) and will look at putting this up one end of the room (its a Kitchen / Dinner) and the other other end i was about to buy a second Sonos 5 but am now contemplating with having 2 x Sonos era 300 as well as the Sonos Five? Im not a music guru but just want to be able to play the music off my Phone and have great sound and wondered what others would do / consider? The room isnt ready yet but will be in a few weeks and happy to spend the money up to another £800 if its worth it  So to sumorise,2 x Sonos Fives or1 x Sonos Five and 2 x Era 300

When lyrics will be available in somos apps for Spotify ?

I have a Beam Gen 1 and a One  in my workout room.  Is the ERA 100 , ERA 300, or Move 2 compatible with this Beam?  I use it with my Peloton + bike (casted to my TV) and just want to up my exercise room.  Appreciate it 

Why is Sonos so protective of their stereo system? It's puzzling. Yes, I understand why. They believe they can. However, the market will inevitably demand a full surround sound experience from Sonos.One can endlessly praise Sonos for their streaming capabilities. They dominate that market. Unfortunately, that doesn't equate to true surround sound. At best, it's Sonos' interpretation of surround sound. They are betting that millions of people won't notice the difference. So be it.I'm frustrated because I have a beautiful Denon AV system alongside my Sonos setup. Integrating the two has been a disappointing experience. Yes, Sonos will point to their Port, but that's just a band-aid solution, producing stereo sound.There's no point in going on and on, but I wish Sonos would listen. HDMI is here, but they don't seem to acknowledge it. I don't know of any Sonos product that uses HDMI. Why? Perhaps they feel they don't need to.Maybe I'm just like Don Quixote, tilting at windmills.Disappointe

I have a three room set up , kitchen is an Arc, sonus amp and ceiling speakers for surrounds and gen 3 sub, Arcam Dac, iPad hard wired as controller. Small lounge Bose cinema 520 Arcam air Dac and Sonus port. My main lounge has a Denon 2200 AVR, Bowers and Wilkins in Wall front 3 speakers . Surrounds and height speakers in wall and ceiling . I am looking to make improvements to the main lounge as I am happy with the rest of the setup. I also have a single Sonus five and a move 1.I want to have the main lounge join the Sonus architecture and improve the sound quality too . Can a Sonus amp be used to power the front left and right speakers ?within the surround system ? Also could a Sonus subwoofer 4 then be connected to the main lounge ? Could I purchase another Sonus 5 and use a pair usefully within the main lounge too . If the amp option isn’t optimal , if a port is connected, could I then use a Sonus sub in the non sonus setup. 

Next year I am going to be living in a 6 person apartment. I’ve been to friends apartments identical to that of which I will be in next year and their JBL 1000 PartyBox filled up the apartment. I currently have three Play 1’s. I am looking to buy 3 Play 5’s (all older gens to save money). Do you guys think that those 6 speakers could replicate a similar experience to the JBL? What I liked about the JBL was that it filled the entire apartment when placed in the living room, even when there were 100 people throughout the apartment. I feel like even if I bought the three Play 5’s and even added in a sub it wouldn’t be able to replicate the experience I got from the massive JBL. I am also new to this space and know nothing about external speakers or how to use amps and adapters to connect those to Sonos systems. Which to buy for a 20ft x 20ft room, 2 x sonos 5 or two Sonos era 300?Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I’m considering buying some Sonos products for the main living area of my home. It’s a 20x40 space with ceilings vaulted from one story to two. There’s a TV on one side that I’d like to get a soundbar for - I’m considering the beam gen 2. We’d like to have a speaker on the other side of the house so we can have music fill the space - I’m considering an era 300 for that.  just looking for advice on whether that’s a good plan, or if there’s another setup I should consider.  Thanks!

Hoping the many experts here can provide me some guidance :)I want to add an outdoor zone comprised of four landscape speakers and an in-ground sub. Something along the lines of the Sonance PATIO4.1 or similar.My question is on the best way to power these as a single zone. Am I correct in assuming I could use a Sonos Amp for the four satellites plus a second amp for the passive sub connected to the sub out on the amp? And if I’m correct, is this the best option or, is there a better way?Also, if this is the ideal way, any amp recommendations for the passive sub? 

I’m wondering how to make a home theater with two 5s what would be the best way to do that? Then what soundbars are able to sink with both 5s if that is the only option. thanks :)

Hello - I am setting up my outdoor system and am having issues finding an outdoor sub that will work….  Does anyone know what sub I can use with this?  There are VERY few outdoor active subs out there.  What about passive?  Does that mean I need ANOTHER amp just for the sub?? thanks!G

I want to build a system with 2 groups.Group/Room 1 will have a tv, a turntable and two wireless 300’s and a mini sub.Group/Room 2 will have 2 wired in wall speakers on a different zone. It is alright if the turntable plays in this zone. So do I need 2 amps or 1? And which kind?Can the 300’s connect to the Frame tv wirelessly or do I hdmi the tv into an amp? I don’t have a place for a soundbar.Also is there an easy way to integrate radio?Am I missing anything? Thank you! 

My system Beam (gen 1) Sub (gen 1) 2 x ERA 100 as surround speakers also a Move. Happy with the music playback of my system but thinking of 2x Sonos 5 as dedicated front facing stereo focused HiFi audio -a more conventional sound stage (If that makes sense)I assume this will work but then would i have to deselect the other speaker components (Beam and ERA 100s) manually each time i just want to play music, and similarly when operating as TV home cinema would i then need to revert to the Beam/Sub/ERA 100s each time?Incidentally (i know these questions are asked regularly) are the Fives that good? thanks  

Hello everyone,We’re building a new home and want to set up a good audio system in the living room for our main TV.The TV will be mounted on the wall under the stairs (green box in the picture), and the sofa will be positioned where the blue box is. Our current plan is to place a Sonos Arc Ultra under the TV, a Sub on the floor next to the TV, and two Era 300 speakers behind the sofa on stands.What do you think of this setup? Do you have any suggestions?Budget-wise, we can’t exceed this configuration.Thanks in advance for any suggestions  TV Wall  

Ok, so right now I have two era 100’s and a sub mini and love the way they sound for music.  Using them for movies is good too, but I’m considering adding a Beam (gen. 2) to add that extra goodness for watching movies.So the question is, once I have all 4 units (the sub mini, the beam, and the 2 era 100’s) configured together, is there a SIMPLE way to disable the beam when I just want to play music through Airplay (or the Sonos app)Alternatively, if temporarily disabling the Beam is not possible, is there a way, when I want to listen to music, to have both the beam and the era 100’s playing full stereo - meaning the era 100’s aren’t acting as ‘surrounds’ for playing music?Thanks for any info!

I have a playbar and 2 move speakers that are connected separately.  It’s a small rectangular den and the move speakers are in the back of the room behind the sofa, but they often drop the sound for a second but it happens repeatedly.I am looking to get 2 speakers that I can connect with the playbar for home theatre surround sound.  (I also have a sub).Customer service told me that sonos 5, 1, 1SL, play 1, 3, 5 are compatible with the playbar.Which do you recommend?

After a lengthy foray into Echo Speakers I’m returning to Sonos.  Early set up is Beam Gen 2 in living room and 3 Era 100 (1 in Kitchen & 2 in dinning room), more will follow. Dining room doubles up as listening to music, light gaming and usually where drinks are consumed room. I need to be able to run TV, old CD player, old tape deck, Brennan B2 and Nintendo Switch.  Would I be correct in thinking I can do this with a AV receiver using line out to Sonos adapter into one Era 100 and everything else fed through receiver.  It seems to make sense in my head but wondering if I’m missing something obvious.  I’m no audiophile so don't need ultimate anything - just access to above and Apple Music (subscription and library for ripped cd’s) and old tape collection. Thanks in advance.

Hi, I want some advice as I will be new on Sonos and sound systems. I just bought a big TV (OLED 77 G4) and I want to put a system for the TV. I’m thinkin on the ARC ULTRA + one sub + 2 rears.These are some of the doubts I do have:How worth it it is to move to Sub 4 instead of Sub Mini? How worth it it is to move from Era 100 to Era 300 as rears?Apart from that, I’m thinking on getting also a Move 2 for moving it around the rooms… Opinions on that device?And last but very important point… I want to get benefit of the sonos system with a turntable… so I’m doubting which is the best way to connect it to them…Options I’m thinking:Sonos Port + Any turntable A turntable with BluetoothAre there others?
