I’m considering buying some Sonos products for the main living area of my home. It’s a 20x40 space with ceilings vaulted from one story to two. There’s a TV on one side that I’d like to get a soundbar for - I’m considering the beam gen 2. We’d like to have a speaker on the other side of the house so we can have music fill the space - I’m considering an era 300 for that.

just looking for advice on whether that’s a good plan, or if there’s another setup I should consider.

Thanks!

Hi @Houst1, welcome to the Sonos Community!

Considering the vaulted ceilings, I think the Beam Gen 2 is the better choice of a soundbar here over the Sonos Arc and Arc Ultra due to their up-firing speakers. There is another setup you could go for, using Sonos Amps and architectural in-wall speakers, but it’ll cost a lot more, so I’d say stick with the Beam Gen 2 and Era 300.

If you did want to add another device, a Sonos Move 2 would be a good addition to your setup. This would be something you can take around the house with you, into the Kitchen or to the sitting area at the top of your image for example, where the Beam and Era might not fully reach.

I hope this information helps!
