Voice control and smart home

Hallo,Ik gebruik de google assistent al jaren zonder probelem op mijn sonos beam maar sinds kort praat die half Engels en Nederlands door elkaar heb de assistent van de speaker verwijder en opnieuw toegevoegd hopend dat het opgelost zou zijn maar nu kan die helemaal geen commando's uitvoeren ik kan wel vragen "wat is de tijd" dan krijg ik in het Nederlands antwoord als ik vraag doe de lampen uit dan krijg ik in het Engels antwoord of als ik synchroniseer apparaten zeg dan krijg ik in het Engel dat alles opnieuw gesynchroniseerd is maar niks werkt meer iemand een idee Op alle systemen staat alleen Nederlands als taal geen 2e taal locatie staat ook op Nederland alle systemen ook geüpdatet

After lots of investigation and comparison, in January I decided to select Sonos for my whole-home music system speakers, to be controlled via my extensive Home Assistant smart home system via the Music Assistant subsystem (HA/MA). The purchase timing was influenced by IKEA discontinuing their Symfonisk line, with the remaining speaker inventory available for half-price, plus a Sonos 25%-off sale.I first bought a pair of Symfonisk Picture Frame speakers, and after onboarding them with the Android Sonos app, they were instantly discovered by HA/MA after adding the MA Sonos Provider. Aside from lacking the TruePlay feature, these speakers were everything I hoped they would be. Great sound for just $150 each.So I immediately bought a pair of Sonos Era 100 speakers (for BT and aux-in support) and a pair of Roam 2 speakers (for initial outdoor support), which also were onboarded via the Sonos app and were discovered by HA/MA.The system performance was even better! There is a service notice about this posted now by Sonos now under Support, and it has been discussed in the “Update on the problems with Google automation routines” thread, but it deserves its own topic.A couple of days ago Sonos speakers using Google Assistant stopped responding to any media playback commands from Google, including Play, Stop, Set volume etc., although basic Google Assistant commands like “Time?” and “Weather?” were still working. Only Google was affected - Alexa, Home Assistant and other services could still perform those functions through the Sonos api. Hello,I own a Sonos Beam. Over the past few days I’ve noticed that Google Assistant responds to “Hey Google”, but it ignores voice commands and nothing happens. I’ve tried several commands, for example:“Hey Google… lower the volume”,“… turn off the TV”,“… play song X”. None of the commands are executed. I therefore tried removing Google Assistant and adding it again. Everything works fine until I’m redirected to login.ws.sonos.com. When I click “OK”, I’m sent to a page that doesn’t exist (404). Since I can’t proceed in the process, I’m currently unable to add Google Assistant back to my Sonos device. How should I proceed? Could you please fix the link so I can complete the connection? I’ve attached screenshots showing what I see step by step before I’m redirected to the non-existent page

Hello,I installed Google assistant on my Beam Gen 2. When Spotify is playing music, I can ask google assistant to move to another song. But if Spotify is not playing and I ask to start it or just ‘play music”, google assistant answers he is not able to do this. Can someone help?ThanksCoco

For years i have used my Google Assistant automation routine “Hey Google, Local news” to play my local new radio station. I use a routine because every once in a while Google stops recognizing  the station name and needs a different name to work. I just change the routine so I can keep on saying “Local news” as usual.But a new bug cropped up today. Google Assistant running on my Google Home speakers still plays the correct station from the Play Radio Station command in the routine, but Sonos instead tries to play a Spotify playlist instead of a radio station. Something is newly being lost in translation between Google and Sonos.I have fixed it for the moment by changing the routine command to say specifically to play the station from Tune In.

Alexa show + stereo paired SONOS ones.I ask Alexa to play music, I have the SONOS skill enabled and music starts to play.I then tell Alexa to stop playing music and the music stopsAn hour or so later the music just starts again.   This can happen at random times as well as throughout the night.1. I should not need to enable or disable an Alexa skill.  This is a temp workaround, not a fix.2. There is no way in the SONOS app to clear a queue.  This is a SONOS feature request.3. Sonos would become the number one pick for all smart home users, providing options for cloud or local voice control of smart home integrations, plus high quality consumer sound systems. It’s your market to corner!Please, Sonos, consider working with the team at Nabu Casa to provide support for local voice control of Home Assistant using your smart speakers!

With Android phones moving to Gemini, this change interferes with using Google Assistant on Sonos devices. If Google Assistant is not already set up on Sonos, the setup process now redirects to Gemini, making it impossible to connect GA to Sonos. For those who have GA already activated, enabling Gemini on the phone causes GA on Sonos to respond with a connection issue, rendering it unusable. This creates a difficult choice for users either stop using GA on Sonos or avoid switching to Gemini on their phones. Given that GA is likely to be fully replaced by Gemini in the near future, how does Sonos plan to address this transition and ensure continued voice assistant functionality on its devices?  

Until recently this was working just fine.  So if I said ‘Hey google, turn on the lights’, it would ONLY turn on the lights in the same room as the Sonos speaker who heard the request. But now it turns on ALL the lights in the house!!! If I say ‘Hey Google, turn on lounge lights’ this does work - but room awareness was working before!I’ve looked at other posts but nothing suggested works for me.  Is this a Sonos or Google issue? BackgroundI moved broadband suppliers last week, and their hub wouldn't let me use the same wifi password, which of course resulted in the Sonos devices going offline.  Using the app I updated new network on one of my devices (which worked fine) but mistakenly didn't click do this for other devices so they were removed from my sonos setup.  For each of them I had to factory reset & re-add to the network - which means re-adding Google assistant support again. The Alexa voice volume is way louder than the music level. Anyone aware of a fix. I’ve read other threads without a working solution and mention of Sonos looking at a fix 7 years ago! 

Fgured out a weird bug with Alexa and Sonos: If using Alexa, you can group sonos speakers together, and using the correct setting in Alexa, saying “Alexa play music” will play on the correct group of speakers without having to name them. This feature is broken using Alexa+, and Alexa defaults to playing music on the Echo device. VERY annoying. Anyone figure out a solve?

I am trying to follow the instructions here to add a Google Nest Mini in a room which has an old Play 1 for voice control.I can’t for the life of me add it in the Sonos app. Basically I get to the stage where I go into my Sonos app, General Settings add voice assistant. One of the devices on my system is an Arc, which has the ability to install / have Google Assistant. So when I select Settings->General Settigns->Voice Assistants->Add a voice assistant->Google Assistant it comes up with a prompt ‘select a room to add Google Assistant’ and presents me with the room with the Arc in.There is no option to add my Nest Mini. I must be missing something but for the life of my I’ve got no idea what I need to do.

It has been mentioned a lot already but wanted to make a thread solely to say that all the remedies and work around offered by Sonos and Google do not work. My Sonos Move used to work flawlessly with Google Assistant. Recently it stopped allowing certain functionality like adding to shopping lists or find my phone stating that I had to set up voice match. The problem lies in that within my Google Home app, specifically the voice match setting, the Sonos speaker isn't found, even though it is part of my home and can be used for everything else. Then, 3 days ago, Spotify completely stopped working with Google Assistant and my Sonos. I can no longer control my music using voice controls, the speaker tells me "Sorry I can't do that on this device" I have unlinked and uninstalled all three apps (Sonos, Google Home and Spotify) re linked them and updated them multiple times. The Sonos speaker still isn't showing in the Google Assista

Why is voice control unable to play podcasts from integrated services? Just curious.
