Have a chat with other Sonos owners. What's going on in the world of music and technology? What's playing?

Hi, The ability to play Spotify direct from the app is awesome. We have a Spotify Premium account - when setting up my other family members to play directly from their Spotify app do I use my Sonos account since it's tied to the 'system' or do they create their own Sonos account? Thanks in advance.
Hi, I just bought a second Play5 (Gen 2) for stereo pairing. I have the Echo hook to the (R) Play5 speaker via in-line connector. When switching to in-line I hear the Alexa audio coming out of the (L) Play5 speaker. Is there a way to set up L&R zones so my Alexa audio comes out both speakers?
As a long time Sonos user I have been following their development closely, especially in the last few years with the strong shift towards on-line services. The more I think about it the less sense this seems to make (it did make sense for a while). Isn't this a self-defeating strategy? I use on-line streaming services too but I am not likely to pay for more than one of those. So if I subscribe to one only why should I use the Sonos app to make use of it? Why not use the proprietary app (if there is one)? Of course there are some good reasons still because the Sonos equipment is pretty good, but it also shows its age and limitations and some of the reasons for using it in the past may no longer (fully) apply (Sonosnet). The number of mails on this forum in which the dismissive answer to a (new) user question asking for a specific feature is "sorry, no can do because the internal memory is limited and cannot handle that" is considerable and the answer, though true, is becoming somewhat s
I tried it. They let the phone ring one time and disconnected the call. I was sitting right by the phone and literally could not pick the phone up fast enough. Trying to fix the issue with exiting the beta program to correct the iTunes issue. Followed the steps, an now the upgrade/downgrade to the system kept failing. Error code 9, which I might add isn't listed anywhere on the support site. Come on Sonos we spend our money, say wonderful things about the products, can't you treat us a little bette than they do at Walmart???? 1 Playbar 1 Boost 2 Play 5 2 Play 3 Do I buy the other Player, 2 play 3's and sub I want?
Is the new community your idea of an improvement? It is anything but an improvement. Several important threads I started have lost content. When I try and type a response, I can't see the entire response I am creating--it only allows me to see a couple of lines at a time. I am a long-time Sonos user, and I feel that I have been slapped in the face. Sonos no longer has my endorsement.
Just seen a post on the Bluesound forum, their latest BluOS software will now index over 200,000 tracks.
Need to find the best pricing available. So my company can buy this product in bulk.
So what do I win? 😃
Hasn't worked for a week now, get "This page is not available /go to home page". Bog standard Chrome on bog standard Galaxy S5. Yet another InSided issue, sigh.
Never, repeat never get any feedback. Nor is there ever any thanks. I'm done reporting posts. This latest Spam attack and the COMPLETE absence of any visible actions, NO user engagement apart from 1 thread (not even STICKYED), ignoring user suggestions, allowing Spam over the weekends and when America is asleep has pushed me over the edge. I am thoroughly sick of it now and it is just capped off bu being ignored when reporting posts or threads. Sonos benefits a tremendous amount by the troubleshooting it's USERs does on its behalf - I reckon we save you at least 1 full time support agent in each time zone. I can't be fucking arsed anymore - why should I if Sonos don't apparently care?
Would anyone agree that the system of badges and all the rest of it that has been introduced with the revamped forum is actually a huge mistake? Now that I have started reading the forum a little again (largely because I am experiencing some difficulties that I would like to sort out) I have noticed that the new system seems to actually invite responses so users can "up" their totals and "score" new badges and such. As a consequence the actual responses themselves sometimes leave something to be desired. Don't get me wrong, I am not trying to cause offence to any individuals and I am also well aware that forums like this one have a social dimension in addition to a primary function of being a "help center". My point and/or question is more that the introduction/elaboration of a scoring system can undercut this primary function. Perhaps we would be better off if we dumped the badges and just stuck to "likes"? What do you think?

Right So I have already participated in the survey so why is it every time I come onto the board after I look at a couple of threads my screen goes opaque and the blasted survey comes up again? I know you're trying to improve things but honestly what with the Spam that gets deleted whilst America is awake and this dratted survey............ SURVEY, Not Surbey!!!
What will impress me the most ?? I know on the advert they say money by pink Floyd sounds amazing with all the coins floating around you... What would you recommend ??
The last couple of days there has been a lot of spam on the forum Obviously it's irritating but I'm also concerned that Sonos is dragging it's heels in removing the obvious spam posts. Many of these are multiple posts by the same users. What is being done to resolve this and cannot Sonos take advantage of some senior posters to help police/moderate this?
I used to enjoy visiting this forum. But lately, when I log in it seems the forum has always undergone a huge change. It has kind of a minimalist, unfriendly look to it now. I doubt if I will bother coming back.
Are there any plans to add the audiobook service Storytel (storytel.com) for the Sonos system?

I believe that the idea of saving multiple wifi connections to a single Sonos speaker Play:1 would be a great benefit to many Sonos users, because I would like to move one of my speakers to alternative wifi networks from time to time.
Something I've always been curious about, what's the average age of a Sonos owner? If you don't wanna share that's fine, I just thought it would be interesting to see how well me mix. Answer the poll anonymously and, if you wish, tell us your exact age. I just turned 31. 😃
