I’ve just bought Beam gen2 so I can stream in the highest audio quality. However, the Plex app on my 2019 Shield seems to be struggling a little. The Dolby Vision logo keeps appearing every so often as if the video has just started although the stream is fine and lag free. This never happened when playing the 5.1 audio stream. Can anyone in a similar position recommend a solution? I’m using an LG B1

So I’m doing the setup for surround speakers but I just don't understand what the app wants here.It asks me to get Infront of my TV and select the speaker I can hear.But where am I facing? Towards TV or rear speakers?Im selecting as you would face to the tv but it feels the speaker levels are off after TruePlay.So what is meant here? Facing towards TV or towards Speakers? Sorry but this is just confusing and unclear since it changes the whole setup.Maybe I'm overthinking here..

we’ve moved from Spotify to Apple Music. It’s a shame the Sonos implementation of Apple Music is lacking this feature over Spotify.  we listen to the discovery and new for you playlists and would love to tap to add to a playlist.  It was talked about 6 years ago….Any updates?

Does adding other pieces to the ARC, off load enough of the the work to say a sub or 5 to make the ARC noticeably cleaner? More dynamic? More headroom?Is it ever going to get close to a studio monitor?Thank you.

Does anyone have a solid recommendation for a multi-device universal remote that works well with Sonos?I’ve used the Logitech Harmony Remote and Hub to control my AV products and Sonos for many years. It’s a great system. Recently, the remote stopped sending commands consistently to Sonos and Logitech has announced that they have discontinued Harmony, so updates and support will trail off. I’m done trying to get this to work correctly.

I just switched to Verizon wireless 5g ultra (not fios) and now can not get my sonos one (gen 2) or play bar to connect to wifi.  Can anyone help?

I’ve been running my system for 10+ years now, and one little feature always bugged me in the Desktop controller. I am predominantly using the Desktop controller to run my Sonos system, via a mini PC connected to my TV.The issue:The progress bar for any music I play is occupying only a minimal part of the screen in the top middle. There are miles of space to the left and right of it, space that is completely unused. I have used music players on my PC that will use the full width of the window for the progress bar, and adjust the size of the progress bar relative to the window size (i.e. Mediamonkey, MusicBee and others), allowing for much more precise control when trying to skip through audio files. Now on my 65” TV, the bar is just ridiculously tiny and skipping to a specific part of an audio file, especially in an audio book for example, is very tedious - and, imho, unnecessarily so.I have attached a screenshot, underlining in yellow the current progress bar. Is there any way to connect both to the SONOS Amp as there is only one line-in connection? Can I get a spliter of some kind.andCan I use wireless headphone with the SONOS Amp?Thank youDMB

I have a Samsung TV in my living room that I use an Apple TV on. I play podcasts on it and frequently stream SiriusXM through the TV. There are two wired speakers connected to the TV - just left and right - no surround.I would like to add wireless speakers in my office and bedroom that have the same audio from the TV so I can listen while moving around the house. I bought a One SL thinking this would work without really looking into it first. Now I’m realizing there doesn’t seem to be a way to connect it to the TV.Is something like this possible and what do I need to buy? I’m happy with my TV speakers and don’t necessarily want to replace them but I would be willing to add a soundbar if that would work. 

I will often search for an artist, and then browse their albums. I want to listen to their most recent album, but based the list of albums doesn’t show years published. Furthermore, as far as I can tell, there’s no way to sort by date published. Am I missing something?

The sonos amp is 250 watts maximum whereas each speaker is a maximum of 130 watts. If I add 6 speakers, the total for speakers will be 780 watts.  Will the sound coming from each speaker decrease as I keep increasing the speakers? (6 speakers compared to 2 speakers)

My Amazon Prime Music just stopped working.  Had been working for several years.  The account is not authorized.  I’ve tried to reauthorize, and seems to complete but it is not ‘authorized’ when finished.  Have tried deleting Amazon Music from ‘Music and Services’ and then re-adding it and seems to complete fine.  But then it is not authorized. Any suggestions?

I see that people have asked similar questions, but I can’t seem to find the right answer. I have today a couple of sonos:1’s and 1 sonos:5. The latter has a vinyl player connected to it. If I would like to also connect a CD player to the same sonos:5 I will need a Sonos Port or a sonos connect, OR can I merely buy one more Sonos:5 and connect the CD player directly into that? I realise that I would then need to locate the new sonos:5 right next to the existing sonos:5 and that may be silly. What to do? PS: I am using Spotity for conveniency, and vinyl for the best experience here but I do have a lot of CD’s with music that is not on Spotify so that is the reason behind it. Additional question: I don’t think the Sonos sound is very good, but probably just ok. Is there anything I can do to improve the sound apart from spending 2000$ to buy more speakers, a sub, etc? 

This is an old topic but all the answers that I find do not work for me.The only way that I can have synced sound and picture is by using the ‘normal’ setting in Sky q, the Dolby settings will immediately lose sync. I have checked my TV settings and there is no pass through switch but bitstream, I am told, will give me Dolby. No, it doesn’t.I connect my Sonos direct to the arc plug on my set. I have no idea what to try next.I need a genius out there to solve it for me!

I’m wondering how much of a difference it makes to connect some or all of my Sonos Speakers via ethernet instead of connecting over Wifi (for reference, I have an Eero mesh network that supports WIFI 6). It will take me some work to run cables to where my speakers are which is why I want to hear people’s opinions before making the effort. My reasons for asking are 1) I have a record player going to a latest gen Five and would like to stream to the rest of the apartment without echos. 2) Same issue with an arc when I’m watching/listening to TV through HDMI input (i.e. I want to hear the TV in my bedroom while doing chores). The apartment isn’t separated enough such that when there is a delay from one speaker to the next you will often here the echo. If you use ethernet, do you get any lower delay options in the app vs when connected via WIFI?  Another question (and I assume this isn’t possible but would be nice if Sonos would allow it)… is there a way to connect two speakers together wi

Hi There is a feature in Sonos AMP that disable RCA input when no input signal.It lead to an issue using microphone From a mix table as input. Its possible to use RCA input without Autodisabling option ?  

Received my Sub Mini yesterday. Installing it was a piece of cake. I connected it to my Playbar. Performed Trueplay. Heard no difference in TV sound, whether speak or music. Toggled Trueplay on and off. Heard a difference in sound of the Playbar, nothing from the Sub Mini. Toggled loudness on and off. Heard a difference in sound of the Playbar, nothing from the Sub Mini. Toggled Sub Mini on and off. No difference. Tried various combinations of these parameters. No difference. Tried all of this at 2 different locations; one underneath the Playbar and one abt. 3 meters away. No difference. Throughout testing bass and treble levels at zero.Then connected it to my 2 grouped Play:1's. Performed Trueplay. Once again: no difference in sound. Performed Trueplay. No difference. Hi all! I was hoping someone would tell me what I need to buy for a great home theater system.  Our family room is 22’ x 22’ (500 sq. ft.) and we have a TV and a bluetooth record player.  Can someone tell me what I need to buy and where I need to hang/place it?

I have a stereo paired set of Play 5s that work beautifully with streaming content from the app. I recently purchased a turntable with preamp. I have two cables running out from the preamp to the two speakers (L and R). When I set up the turntable in the Sonos app. I ended up with a configuration that looks like the image below. Which means I can only select one speaker for playing audio.  Both are working, but only one at at a time.  I’m confident I screwed up the initial set up, But I can’t even figure out how to delete the turntable from the app to start over. Grateful for any help.  (Be gentle with me.) 

Hello,I think I know the answer to this but I’m just wanting to be very sure before making an expensive decision. I currently have a very 1990’s hifi system - CD player, amp, passive speakers. I love this but want to be able to play my large digital stored music library too. So I think I have settled on using a NAS drive with a Sonos Port, which I’ll then hardwire to my amplifier, but also have some Sonos speakers around the house too. This way, I can still run my CD player and TV into my amplifier (something which is more of a problem if using e.g. a Brennan B3 due to lack of line-out!).Anyway, with regards to a NAS drive - I just want to check if all I will need to pay for/add to my system is the NAS drive (enclosure plus HDD’s of course) and the Sonos equipment. Am I right in thinking the free Sonos app will access the NAS and provide the interface to browse through the music stored on it? Or will I also need to use e.g. Plex (either free or paid subscription). From what I’ve gather

Hi all,I have a SONOS surround system for my living room that works great and recently purchased a surround sound system for the basement (Beam Gen 2, two One SL’s and Sub Mini), but I’m not able to get Dolby Atmos working via my PS5 on my LG OLED55B6P.I know there’s some tricks to get Dolby Atmos working on the PS5 and I’ve followed those settings.This are the setting I’m using on the TV while having HDMI connected to the HDMI 2/Arc port to my Sonos Beam.Sound Out → Audio Out (Optical/HDMI Arc)All Settings → Sound → Sound Out → Audio Out (checked)In a sub bullet of the Audio Out I have Digital Sound Out set to Auto and SIMPLINK set to On.Any help is appreciated.  Thanks.

I need to mount the Arc above TV due to fireplace, but in general will it still sound great on a room with 30' ceilings?  FP is on the left bottom.
