Good morning. I’m losing my mind trying to constantly reconnect ½ my system, almost every day. Recently, we bought 4 eero Wi-Fi extenders. They work great in an old house with lots of brick, old wood, (read petrified!) and mortar. I spent an hour rebooting our 12 speakers to the eero system. A couple days later, ½ the speakers are on our old WiFi (Xfinity) system, half are on the eero one. This happens randomly, and I only realize it after toggling back and forth between systems on my phone. Giant pain in the ass. Anyone have a real fix, because apparently the speakers are “remembering” the other system.
I just purchased Sonos1SL speakers set them up. Everything works correctly except the EQ is grayed out and won't allow me to adjust bass and treble. I am very frustrated by this and am ready to return the speakers and post this issue. I've tried everything in settings.
Smallish house, Sonos One stereo pairs in 4 rooms, plus ARC, 2x ERA300 Surrounds & 2x Sub in living room. Trying set up with/without Boost. Always Truplay tuned. On ‘just’ the Deco single router house wifi, everything is solid. Sonos works perfectly. The house has around 100 devices using the router. We get no issues with anything. On the (wired to the switch) Boost though, the audio drops in and out if you walk in front of speakers etc in all rooms apart from the one where the boost is. Tried EVERYTHING to reposition the Boost to no avail. By contrast, you can place the wifi router itself pretty much anywhere and everything stays rock solid. Why then, am I bothering with Boost you’re all asking? Surely this is the dumbest post in the history of Sonos?! Simple. The sound quality is much crisper and punchier on Boost than on just Wifi. It sounds soooo much better. Why is this please? Anyone? There is no info anywhere on sound being much nicer to listen to on Boost (SonosNet) than on
I'll do a measurement soon and post the ts parameters. I bought another pair on aliexpress. Will also measure those and see if they're legit.
After doing the sound pincode for pairing the Era 100 and my iPhone it starts connecting to my 2.4 GHz WIFI (While blinking green. After a while it stops showing any light and I get the message “Your Era has been added, but may not appear in your System. If so, unplug cord etc” But even after doing that nothing happens. The Era just stops showing any colour at all. I have tried the following: Factory Reset.Reset Router + Sonos Era 100.Set my router to only run 2.4GHz (AI suggested it was easier to set up than via 5GHz) After the setup is done my Era 100 just stops showing any form of light. During the setup it alternates between White and Green but after a few cycles it just stops showing any light.
Hi I have questions about the Sonos app as the Arc has stopped working completely after the upgrade within about 3 days. My partner has failed to get it working at all.I am also a little concerned about the quality of the HDMI connector on the Sonos, seems not to have brilliant cable to socket interference (yes, it is a technical term for engineers). However this has been eliminated from the investigation, it’s just not a high quality detail. Any experiences welcome of cable manufacturers recommended? The app, what is happening with this?
Has anything changed with regards to Sonos and Tical Connect support? It would need support for the specific Tidal Connect protocol, which Sonos would need to license/implement and certify. Qobuz is also about to deliver a similar offering.Hi-Res Flac streaming is a second priority for me. If Sonos has no plans to support it, then I would not be buying the Sonos Arc Ultra, which would really be a shame.Cheers - Gé
Maybe I’m imagining this but fairly recently, possibly since the new app, the fade in on the alarm doesn’t always work. Some (most) days the music fades up and isn’t too much of a shock in the mornings, but on other days it comes straight on at full volume. I wondered if this could be something to do with the fade in starting at the point of the alarm triggering, rather than when the music starts - so if the music takes a while to cache the fade has finished by the time it starts playing? Just wondered if this is a new bug or just me!
Cum pot da subscribe pt voice control?
I have a pair of Play:1 speakers I bought several years ago but never connected. Now, in a new house, I want to use them. However, I cannot get them to connect. I have tried “everything:” wirelessly, wired, after resets, the whole thing. Why? Who have I pissed off in the “-verse” so much that they’re messing with me? (obvious sarcasm here)Anybody with a suggestion, please and thanks?
Hey there. I use Deezer as my music provider on my Sonos setup. Everything seems to be working properly, e.g. I can listen to particular songs, albums, playlists, etc.My issue is that when I start s station from a particular song, I can see in the app that it tries to play songs but ends up skipping most of them. The weird thing is that if I start a station from an artist, all works well. Anyone experiencing a similar issue?
My office wifi has recently been changed and the security put in place will not allow me to use my sonos on the network. (UPnP disabled/Multicast disabled). My IT guy told me that the only way to use it in the office is with bluetooth. When I press the bluetooth button on the back of the speaker it doesn’t make a chime sound it makes a short “blip” sound and never starts flashing blue. I have unplugged, reset, done all of that but nothing is working. I set it up on the wifi network even though my app and speaker can’t talk to each other. I don’t know what else to do, any insights?
Ever since I set up my speakers...first my Symfonisk pair, then Sonos Roam pair, and most recently a Sub Mini, they all randomly turn on and off. One minute my Right Symfonisk turns off...30 seconds later it’s back on. The Sub Mini (paired with Symfonisks) is on one minute, then off and I can’t get it back on. Turn the volume up and down and sometimes it will turn back on. What’s the deal? Also, my Sub Mini will work with the Sonos App, but not when I play straight from Airplay/Apple Music.
Hi, I'm looking into buying the S.M.S.L PL200 MQA-CD Player. It has optical and coaxial outputs. will I be able top connect it to one of my Play 5 (Gen 1) speakers?
Hello everyone.A question about Sonos Era 300.The "Sonos voice Control" voice commands work well (I have those of ehco dot of Alexa but it doesn't understand anything and does what it wants) also on Tidal the voice commands work.Do I have any constraints if I don't have an Apple smartphone? As for bass performance, is the Five model or Era 300 better? (I can always add a Sub Gen3).Thank you very much for the answers.
When is the Sonos Five expecting a refresh? I am on the fence to purchase one. I want the latest model.
So, at the weekend I noticed that our Lounge (Arc, Sub & 2x Play 3) was missing from the App. As was the Port in our garden cabin. The rest of the house (Conservatory with a Sub & 2xOneSL, the Patio with 2xPlay1’s, a stand alone Play1 and the Kitchen with 2xOneSL & Mini-sub) were all working well. Note; one Play3 is hardwired, all other components work by WiFi. Port in Cabin is connected by Cat5 or 6 cable to a TP-Link router. Always worked fine.Back-story: Previously with Virgin Media - rubbish connection, drop outs etc. Tried with & without Boost, hardwired one Play3 etc to no avail. Switched to Sky Max Hub in September 24. Sky extender pod added to system in February 25 to help WiFi around house & get rid of black spots , all working great. Second extender pod added early March. We are now mid-March.I tried Factory Reset, re-adding the components, Rebooting each of the products and rebooting my Router, but none of it seems to work. The closest I get is that some pr
Hi all. Hoping for feedback for something on my mind. I am no audiophile and only just started to listen to music late in life. I mainly listen to jazz, instrumentals and easy going songs. My Sonos gear is in my open plan living area.Been using a pair of Sonos Play 5 Gen 1 and a Sub Gen 2 on S1 app for better part of a year. Very happy. Sub made a world of difference. Then curiosity got the better of me and I bought a Sonos Connect Amp Gen 2 and a pair of mint Polk TSi100 bookshelf speakers and on S2 app. No active sub at the moment although I am passively looking for one. What I really want to know is could I get better quality of music listening from the 1st setup or 2nd setup provided I match correct speakers/sub.Any feedback will be appreciated.
My system was working perfectly until recent update 80.19.21 (iOS) released 4/15/25 is dropping connectivity to 2xEra 100s and 1xMove 2. I’ve rebooted WiFi router, rebooted speakers and even factory reset them and still not solved connectivity issues. All other speakers on the system are connecting as expected (e.g. 2xArc, 2xEra 300, 5xSub, 4xFive, 2xBeam, 1xSub mini, 2xOne, 1xPort, 1xConnect Gen2). Anyone else having similar issues after the recent update?
Hi, I’m looking for some help. We have built a garden office and would like to extend our existing wifi down to it. It is approximately 40m from the house and so plan to run a Ethernet cable from the existing router, which is a BT Halo 3. We have fibre to the house so a strong link to the Internet. We have tried the BT wifi discs in the past but as documented elsewhere on this forum, they did not work well with our Sonos system. Ideally, we would like the WiFi extension to cover the garden area as well. I am not very tech savvie, and have got rather lost understanding what the best way to do this might be - mesh, bridge etc. I would be very grateful if somebody could offer a little bit of advice about how to do this without costing a huge amount of money and in a way that an IT numpty could follow! We currently have a mix of Sonos devices - 10 speakers in total, 2 of which are very close to the garden and so could pick up the new WiFi signal. Many thanks for your time and patience.
Hello, I am about to purchase a pair of Era 100 for my room in an shared apartment.I was wondering if I have previously stereo-paired 2 Era 100 via wifi ‘A’. Can I still stereo play them from my phone using bluetooth or line-in mode but whilst connecting to another wifi ‘B’?Are the speakers playing in true stereo mode?
My Sonos Roam s l has an Orange light.
Gone!Absolutely sick to death of my Sonos 1 speaker. It’s a pig to use.I got it as a free gift too and it WAS ONCE amazing, but since they RUINED the app it’s impossible to use.It now resides in the kitchen bin until Wednesday when it will be collected with all other recycling: empty tin cans, glass bottles, cardboard etc.Good riddance Sonos!!!!…ah, that feels better.
I posted some time back () but the thread is closed to replies. I was wondering given improvements to the app, whether people are still getting/hearing of instability issues. I’m keen to move to WiFi to see if my connection issues resolve (losing speaker, can’t stop/start tracks etc.) with moving away from SonosNet but don’t want to risk tanking my set up in the process. Also, if I ever buy any of the new products I believe they don’t support SonosNet.
