wired to wireless change not possible?

I originally set up my system (several Play 1, a Connect, One, and two Bookshelf) in a wireless setup with the Ethernet cable into the One. It has all been working well, but now, moving to no Ethernet access, I need to switch the system to wireless. It seems this is not possible without a factory reset of all speakers to enable wireless connection. This will obviously remove all my settings, including services and playlists, which would suck.
I tried just resetting the One and giving it wireless access, but once I did this it was of course no longer part of my system. Plugging another speaker into Ethernet I can add the One back, but now I am where I started. There seems to be no way to just connect the whole thing to my WiFi without factory resetting the speakers.

Yes, I can see the One with the option to update its network settings. Unclear whether it would still be part of my system after I do this, or whether it will want to create a new system.

If you are able to update the network settings for the One then do that.

It will still be part of your existing system. When you remove Ethernet, the One should then connect over Wi-Fi, you will then need to factory reset all your other devices. Your services and playlists will be retained as they will be stored on the One, but specific room settings/trueplay will be lost and need to be redone.

It’s no longer possible to add/update Wi-Fi credentials on some older devices without a factory reset.

See the support page https://support.sonos.com/en-us/article/connect-sonos-to-a-new-router-or-wi-fi-network

When you added the One back to your existing system, does the Wi-Fi network then appear in the Sonos app under Settings > Network > Manage networks ?

If so, then you should be able to factory reset your remaining speakers and add them back to the system with the One, which will then allow them to be connected over Wi-Fi
