Arc / mini sub / L&R Era100’s

Only the RH ERA100 signal was breaking up and stopping every 20 seconds or so for 1 or 2 seconds at a time off/on/off etc.

WIFI signal? Nope. switched channels. Switched access points. Strong signal.
Too close to a wifi enabled coffee machine? Moved - Nope.

Answer? Mixed wired / wifi across system

Arc was ethernet, sub was ethernet.
Switched all to WIFI - FIXED.

🤷‍♂️

Hello @cyclic412222, welcome to the Sonos Community!

I am sorry to hear you experienced audio interruptions on your Sonos Era 100 when used as surrounds, but I’m glad you were able to resolve it by switching the connection on your entire Home Theater setup to Wi-Fi.

If it happens again, or you are interested to see how your Sonos system is behaving on your home network, feel free to Submit Diagnostics and contact our Support Team.

Thank you for the post.

I put the mini sub back to ethernet, and that was still fine, so I guess the ultimate fix is make sure the ARC is in WIFI mode. No issues since.

If you’re connecting to surrounds and/or a sub, the WiFi should always be turned on on the Sonos devices. It’s the first way they attempt to connect (via direct WiFi between them, not through your regular WiFi). If you choose to turn off the WiFi on any of those devices, you must connect both via Ethernet cable, for them to be able to connect through your router.
