(system setup description below).Fairly recently (few months) I started having issues with my system. Basically a device starts pausing, then playing, then pausing. The pauses start being a few seconds every hour or so, but become longer and more frequent until eventually the device is just silent. This happens whether playing music from a file share, streaming from Spotify or Apple Music or playing Radio. This happens to any one of the devices. The only requirement is that it's left playing until it falls over. The only way to resolve the issue is to power cycle it.It is a daily occurence that one device needs to be power cycled. If any support are reading (hopefully not as it’s the weekend!) I've taken the liberty of submitting a diagnostic report whilst this problem was happening:1673763072My setup is:I have a small house, but a large garden with two home offices in the garden and two Play:1 in the garden. Every building is well insulated with foil backed insulation. So Sonosnet does no
I have seen a lot posted on this but never an answer that works. I have two speakers in different rooms that I would like to group. The group function in settings is greyed out if you only have two rooms so that is not an optionI can group the speakers by pulling up the system and hitting the little square with an arrow next to the room I want to pair. However, I have to do that everytime I use the system. I listen to albums, so every time one side of an album finishes, the speakers disconnect. I flip the record, start the record, and then have to go into the app again to connect the rooms. This is annoying. How can I group the two speakers so I do not have to constantly go into the app and reconnect them every time a side of an album finishes?
Hello,I love my Sonos speakers, I own six of them and I plan on adding more. Whenever I listen to some music or TuneIn radio station it is always on the Everywhere group. I love how the synchronization is just perfect and that I can move from room to room without ever losing a single note. There is however one thing that I find a little annoying. Since there is no normalization of volume there is often cases where I need to increase of lower it. It’s unpleasant to have to pull out the phone, unlock it, launch the sonos app and change the volume level. What would be perfect is have an option to “link the volume controls” on the “Everywhere” group an all other group that we create. With such a feature enabled I could increase/decrease the volume with the buttons or voice control on any of the speakers in the group and it would be adjusted on all of them just like it does with the volume slider in the app.
I am resetting up a pair of Sonos One Speakers. I have reset them and they are connected to my wifi network. However, my phone does not show them in Bluetooth mode. What am I doing wrong
My Sonos PLay:3 gen 1 keeps failing the update process. The speaker has been reset multiple times, deleted and reinstalled S2 app, connected directly to my router with ethernet cable and nothing works. Update keeps failing no matter what I do. I’ve bought and added other gen 1 Play:3 speakers to my S2 system, but this one will not update. Any ideas or thoughts?
I recently changed internet providers. I have 2 speakers and I can only get one of them to connect. How do I get the other one to connect. When I plug it in, the light just keeps flashing orange.
I have a pair of Ikea/Sonos Symfonisk speakers that were working fine until recently. Now they will not connect my android phone Music Library via WiFi with the current S2 version app. I read online that S2 does not support WiFi connection to a local Music Library any longer, just to music services; is that true? I’ve tried to connect via bluetooth with no luck and I don;t see that the (2021) Ikea/Sonos Symfonisk speakers have bluetooth capability. Can I still connect IKEA/Sonos to V1 app? How do I roll back to V1?
This oval patch has recently appeared on the front 🤔 has anyone else seen something similar?
When using my era 300 in bluetooth mode, every minute or two the audio will briefly pause for a few seconds, then resume.Anyone know of a fix?
We have been using Sonos for 8 years now. We started with Play 1 and Play 5. At the moment we have about 10 Sonos devices, Move and play one mostly. Last year has been awful, disconnects, app wont see all devices etc. For the last two months it seems updates fails and need to be tried three to four times before they applies. We have a solid Wifi with two Unifi APs. Three sonos play one are connected using ethernet, rest is wifi.Any idea before I replace it with something else?
Je souhaiterais avoir votre avis s'il vous plaît Merci d'avanceCedric Moderator Note: Google TranslateHello everyone,I need your advice to add sound to my room. I specify that I only want to listen to music, not TVI have 2 era 300, which I placed on the sideboard in the center of the room (green arrows on the map)I
I have a pair of era 300 speakers. When i connect to them with bluetooth no sound comes out. Tried with several different devices both apple and android. You can see through the sonos app it shows connected on bluetooth. The sound is playing on my device. The speakers just wont relay the sound. They worked fine at the beginning. Then it got harder to get them to play. I would have to connect and reconnect. Then it would work again. Then it got worse. I had to repair them. Now no mater what i do the sound will not go through. Works fine on wifi but will not work on bluetooth at all. Tried with friends phones and same thing. They connect but will not play sound.
I have just been given the gen1 Play:5 from my father, as he bought it new, used it once and it has been in a cupboard ever since, he’s moving house and he gave it to me as he didn’t use it. I have tried to set it up using the Sonos S1 app and it comes up when i go to set it up but when i press the volume up button and the mute button at the same time when prompted, the chime plays and nothing happens on the app, what can be done about this? I can’t find anything online.
why is "home screen volume control" disabled? Can't there be a hint shown why the control is disabled instead of having the user browse in forums for the reason?
Connection with optical digital cable from my Hisense smart TV to Sonos Ray and keep getting massage "no signal detected". What else can I do?
I recently upgraded from xfinity blast (had no issue for years) to gateway for more bandwidth and now I can’t connect any of my Sonos speakers to my network. When I troubleshot through the Sonos app it says that Sonos only supports Open, WPA and WPA2 security. I found that the gateway was set to wpa3. I changed it to WPA2, reset everything and tried again with no change. After connecting to my beam through the Sonos app and hitting the button on the back it asks me to put in my wifi password, after doing this it gives me the error that there was a problem connecting to the network. Any suggestions ?
Sonos is the WORST speaker product i’ve ever used! It continues to drop and all support can say is “check your internet”. EVERYTHING IN MY HOUSE RUNS ON INTERNET AND NOTHING ELSE HAS SUCH RIDICULOUS LOGIC AS: “Short break in connection, stop running completly” . * RECONNECT after internet drops *Moderator Note: Modified in accordance with the Community Code of Conduct.*
Hi there,I have installed my XGIMI MoGo 2 in my apartment and tried to connect it to my two new Sonos Era 100s (stereo mode) via 3.5mm cable and the official Sonos Line-In adapter. In the Sonos app, the line-in is being shown as connected, however when trying to select the audio output on the projector the only two options are internal speaker or HDMI-ARC.Has anyone successfully connected their projector with Era 100s or knows what could be the reason that it won't work for me?In the Sonos app, I could change the source level from 1 to 10 but don't know whether this would change anything?Appreciate any feedback and support!Cheers from Austria
I just added an era 100 to existing sonos system. It took forever to get it to add, requiring multiple unplugs, etc. and once it finally added, it doesn't allow me to play music through it. There was an error message that said something along the lines of using a non-compatible app. I have the sonos v2 app, which is what I've been using for my two play 1 gen 2 speakers.
So long story short - have been escalated to tier. 3. tried to add the new era. 300 and it wouldn't add beyond the will not show up in systems, unplug BS. didn't work. Went through all the Sonos service calls, 4 hours, none of my products can now be found. everything. was working perfectly before I tried to add a single era 300. now I have nothing. zilch. app won't recognize a single component. any ideas? suggestion - DO NOT ADD new products to your existing system. I think its something with 2.4/5ghz but even SONOS doesn't know. any help would be appreciated. My system is now bricked and I have to wait. a week for a tier 3 appointment. 5000 of Sonos and I can't even reset my already working system. help. Sonos support is garbage. unplugged everything for an hour. deleted the app. reinstalled and reset everything. Everything vanished and no way to solve this. Please try again later. Did the forgot system. app is still asking about speakers not even plugged in - I
Hi,As the speaker lacked high tones, I checked the pcb for blown caps and changed a bunch of -probably- blown capacitors (with buldging tops). After the repairs, the issue is still there. The tweeters don't seem to work. Does anyone know where to look on the pcb for the tweeter capacitors/resitors? It seems unlikely the tweeters are both broken.. Or can it be?Changed capacitors:5x 35V 820 uF2x 25V 470 uF1x 25V 1000 uFThank you in advance!
Hi everyone,For some time I have had Arc, Sub3, and ERA 300s as surrounds. I also had a single ERA 300 in my office. All were absolutely fine and tuned with trueplay. Recently I bought a second ERA300 to make a stereo pair in my office and went to trueplay them. This is where the problems began. No matter what I do, they will not complete the advanced trueplay tuning. I have tried: disabling iphone bluetooth force closing all apps except sonos separating the pair and running trueplay advanced as singles - both fail factory reset and as above - same result - fail pair them again and run advanced trueplay - failAll of the above I have also run with another iphone - same results... Oddly, the quick tune version of trueplay does complete, but only perhaps 1 time out of every 3 attempts, so we can be sure that wifi is working fine. They also happily play music from the sonos app, so again no wifi issues. Even more oddly, the sonos site says ‘Note that quick tuning is not available when an
I have replaced a device in my system (which I have recycled). How do I remove it from my sonos account? So I can no longer reset the device ! Moderator edit; combined posts
Hi last night I was streaming audio from a Fire Stick to a pair of Era 300. Everything worked great for over an hour. Then suddenly the audio stopped for about half a second, and when it returned the two speakers were not in sync, there was a half-seconds lag between them.Re-pairing Bluetooth did not fix it. We only got it to work again by breaking the Era 300 pair and then pairing them to each other again. Can anyone suggest a cause and fix? Thanks Jim
I have a pair of TruePlay-adjusted stereo-paired Ones in my 12x10 home office on a built-in corner L desk setup in front of me and a little off to the sides about 6 feet apart and three feet away from me on the sides. I’ve felt the sound was lacking a bit in mids and bass, as expected from units of this size.I considered adding a mini-sub or replacing the Ones with a pair of Fives in the bookshelf about 10 feet behind me. I don’t think I have the room for a pair of fives there, so I decided to try one of the Fives horizontally behind me (center of the wall, ear level). Because it is behind me over my shoulder, I’m obviously not getting the full advantage of the sound from it. I’ve found that adding/grouping my existing stereo pair of Ones on the desk at a lower relative volume adds desired depth and front-sound stage, but a slight yet noticeable echo delay between the two sets.I put the other five in the family room for music down there. Would I be better off taking the office five
