Hi When i installed my beam yesterday Alexa worked fine. Today I got round to connecting the Beam to my TV - a LG UK6950PLB and the Alexa capabilities have stopped completely. I can both play music via the app, and listen to the TV through the Beam but the Beam does not respond to any voice commands. I've tried deregesting the app and the device on my phone, and can control the the TV via a echo device in the my kitchen.

Hi Sonos users! Here a very happy Sonos user (customer). I've been using it for a couple of months. At first I had only one speaker. Because it's expansive enough, I bought at first only one. I listened it one month and because it worked well, I bought another and formed them stereo's pair. All works fine, couple times I've got updates. Our bedroom is not big and Play ONE Stereo pair is completely perfect. I often use a timer that is very useful. It make it quiet so when playlist plays it doen't make it too long when sleeping that woudn't disturbed. We'll basically use Apple Music family package, but also the Radio and my wife loves use via Airplay2 things. We're very pleased. Interesting, how lots of people have it in the bedroom? I think it feels very nice. I just share my good opinion. 🆒
Still can't access my computer library. I can through Ethernet cable but when it's just wifi the above message comes up. Does anyone know how to help? The Sonos guy who took hold of my computer said it was an service provider issue when he saw my computer listed as 'N/A' rather than its name. I am so stuck!
Hi all, Yesterday i noticed that the beam had disconnected from my Samsung TV. Its been connected via Arc for 3 months with no issues. Now, when using the remote to adjust volume, its displaying the volume level with "tv speaker" next to it. There must be a signal, because i can adjust the volume on my phone and over power the tv speaker volume. Ive cycled power on TV, Beam and cycled the ARC lead. Are there firmware issues at the moment that im unaware of? Streaming music fine so no issue with the hardware. Any help would be appreciated. Many thanks.
Hello Sonos Community! I have a Sony STR-DH790 multi channel AVR powering 7 built in wired speakers in my family room. I want to extend the same music/sound outdoors to play simultaneously, but don’t yet have an outdoor system. Do Sonos wireless audio solutions allow for this type of connectivity to an existing AVR? If so, what do I need to make this work?
I heard that you can install a Playbar ABOVE a TV, but that the Playbar unit should be installed UPSIDE DOWN. That can't be true, right?
My new set of Play:1's cannot stay syncronized .... (Paired as stereo pair) First of all I posted a comment here at this thread yesterday: https://ask.sonos.com/sonos/topics/speakers-not-synced-in-stereo Secondly: I tried changing the wifi channel (1, 6, and 11), factory reset and rebooting them individually. Nothing works. The Play:1's keep drifting into echoing after about 120 seconds of stereo paired playing. Is there anything I can do apart from all the above that was tried out to get my set of Play:1's to play in proper stereo without echoing i.e. playing syncronized? I would really appreciate a support response to this.
I recently bought a pair of Sonos Ones I have them set up as a stereo pair and if I play music through them using the Sonos Controller everything works beautifully. However, with the new AirPlay functionality I thought it would be great to use them as speakers for my Mac. My Mac OS is up to date and I can see the speakers in the sound menu and play sound through them. My previous set up was to use the speakers built into my monitor. Unfortunately the sound played through the Sonos Ones via Airplay is poor quality - I have tried playing things on YouTube and things on Spotify (not using Spotify connect) on the computer and the sound is rather "muddy" - it is much clearer when coming out of the monitor speakers. Since then I have read that Mac OS only supports Airplay 2 via iTunes and not through the system audio. So I tried playing through the Sonos speakers via Airplay directly from iTunes rather than choosing the system sound output to the Sonos. And when I did this the playback wa
Hi there, I've just bought a third play 1 to add to the two I currently have connected to my Bridge. For some reason the new component is not connecting to the system when I press the play and vol up buttons as requested. I'm confused as the other two play1s are working fine. I have tried connecting using both my Android phone and my Mac, and the result is the same. The new component is definitely within range of the Bridge/router. Any ideas? I spent three to four hours on the phone with SONOS trying to solve this to no avail, but managed to finally solve it myself. The symptom: All speakers play SiriusXM simultaneously just fine (I have seven rooms with a 5.1 setup, 2.1 setup, playbar and sub, play 5, and the rest are a single play 1), but if I use Spotify, Tidal, Amazon Music, etc the speakers in different rooms would cut out and come back at random. Even different components in the same room, for instance a rear speaker or sub might drop in my 5.1 room then come back, or a L/R speaker in a stereo set. If I kept the groupings to a minimum, for instance two rooms, things seemed to work okay. Once I got above that, things would go to hell. Also, this is a two story 1400 sqft townhome with a brand new top-of-the-line $400 Netgear router with gigabit internet. I get about 800mbps on my iPhone as far away from the router as I can get in the house. Before this, I was in a one-story 900sqft place and was only using speakers i
Am I the only one completely underwhelmed by the Beam's sound quality when playing music. TV speech quality good, but for music I don't think it even matches a Play 1.
Hi, I recently setup a system in my condo of five Sonos Play-Ones and two Sonos Ones. My condo is 940 square feet and I was having some drop outs with the modem/router that my service provider supplied me with once I went from five speakers to seven as I added the two Ones to replace Echo Dots I had in the rooms. I've always been told that the routers supplied by cable companies are not the best in terms of signal strength and I've had drop outs on my PC which in my office the furthest away from the router. So I bought a new D-link router that was supposed to have better signal coverage, but the performance of my system was worse. The cable router has two networks one for 2.4 and the other for 5G, and my new D-link router just has the one network but is dual band. I don't know if that is an issues as I've read that Sonos products run on 2.4 as it usually has a stronger signal then 5G. After this I looked into the Sonos Boost thinking maybe its an interference issue with the other d
Is Sonos developing waterproof speakers?
Should we be concerned? I think we should be. Yesterday owners of the Sonos Dock were emailed telling them that from October onwards, with their next software update, that the Dock will no longer be supported and made obsolete and no longer work within the Sonos system. Earlier in the year owners of the CR-100 controller were also told that their controller would no longer be supported and no longer work. Two Sonos products in less than a year have been made obsolete. Let me repeat that, in less than a year 2 Sonos components have been planned by Sonos to be made obsolete. You can understand if the product failed due to its age but a software update planned and intended to make the components obsolete is quite worrying. And where does that leave Sonos owners who were earlier adopters of the technology? And where does that leave all Sonos owners? Yesterday The "Sonos Support Team" tweeted that "Supporting the Dock within the modern Sonos system is no longer sustainable due to the
I can't get into my system because Sonos insist on downloading a download that won't download. We now have a music-free Christmas. I'm buying Bose and writing multiple newspaper articles about your system. Mod edit: Please follow our guidelines when writing a post.
Hi, Does anyone know if you can turn the Sonos One microphone light off? I'd like to do this without disabling the microphone. I have this in the bedroom and would rather there wasn't a light showing when I'm trying to sleep. I know you can turn off the LED light in the settings but there doesn't seem to be an option for the microphone light. If I have to disable the microphone, I'll be doing this every night and then turning it back on in the morning. Thanks
On black Friday after only owning the sub for < 8 hours - while watching TV it made a loud pop, started to buzz which was immediately followed by the "hot electrical smell" - then began to smoke. I unplugged and move it out of the house - but am sure it would have got to the point of catching fire as I almost needed oven mats to move it. Has anyone else had an issue like this?
Can anyone help, my Sonos 1 and 5 keep cutting out during a song or randomly at some point during an album (normally second song) I have contacted sky and had my WiFi bandwith changed to a different frequency as I heard that could cause an issue. This has only recently been an issue since I updated the app. Any help would be welcome.
Every time we play music from our phones it either pauses half way through or it will skip tracks. Apparently this Hs been going on for a while according to other comments I’ve read. Seriously, there’s no loyalty to customers anymore.
Is there any place where I can find the Protective Cover Replacement for Sonos One?
I have plugged my Essential phono turntable to my Sonos Connect which is broadcasting to my Playbar and two Play 3. Unfortunately I am experiencing serious cut out which render the experience quite irksome. I have tried changing channel of my router but to no avail. The only "fix" consist in compressing the audio but with the needle chatter and the sound coming out from the speakers out of sync this is not an option. My diagnostic report is referenced 2003800383. Any help appreciated.
Was working fine but now won’t play in one room. Will do so if grouped but not on its own. How can I fix this?
Hello. I have just bought a Sonos beam. I also have a play 5, play 3 and a play 1. When watching tv the beam works fine on its own. But when I group the other speakers to beam while watching tv the other speakers keep cutting out intermittently. It only happens with tv, while grouped and listening to music they are fine. I have tried changing from hdmi arc to optical but it didn’t help. I have reset the router and didn’t help. I have also tried watching video through the PlayStation and the tv itself (freeview) but the problem still occurs. Any advice greatly appreciated.
I've sold our Boost and Sonos speakers but they are associated with my email address. How can I delete my account so the new owners can create their own account? I don't want to just change the email to theirs because our usage data would be visible. I can't make changes via the App because I no longer have the Sonos equipment.
