I had my Subwoofer for only 4 day until it quit working. Little disappointed. I noticed a hot electrical type smell for a few days then on the last day it just quit, would not connect. Is there any known issues with this type of failure? I bought it through ABT, they are going to exchange it for a new one.
I have mixed feelings about the music playing abilities of the Beam. Sometimes it’s quite impressive, and at other times I’ve been thinking something sounded off. Then I finally found a song where I could easily identify and reproduce a section where my Beam falls flat. With the song “Hope She’ll Be Happier” by Bill Withers at 2:37 in (this is the song in the Bill Withers Essentials playlist on Apple Music); When he hits a certain pitch and holds it for a while, the sound starts to get very distorted. I’ve played this section at about 50% volume. Do you guys hear this as well, or does it sound fine on your end?
Hi, I have 2 playbars for my tv’s, plus 3 Playomes dotted around the house. I stream a lot of music, and was wondering if I get a sub, will my music come from it, or is it just the tv sound?
Can I setup a PLAY:1 and a Sonos One as a stereo pair?
I keep getting error 1101 setting up a new Play 1. Update required, update error over and over. Restarted modem, restarted speaker , closed app restarted app. Tried wi fi tried Ethernet cable. Nothing works. Tried to reset from scratch, can’t seem to do that. Anyone any ideas?
A friend passed a Sonos play 5 to me and it did not work now. It does not power up, and no light. I searched the community topic. Seems it is a common problem. A lot of play 5 have similar problem either within warranty or several months out of warranty or a few years after purchase. The simple power cord check, reset won't work for almost all play5 no power issue though that is a standard reply by someone with Sonos. Mine neither. I contact Sonos on Twitter and got reply fairly quickly. The solution is return and fix with ~$350 + tax =~$380 due to out of warranty. Too expensive to fix it, the new one is $500. Someone on this community said they fix the issue by replacing a fuse and a rectifier. I opened it and found the fuse is good. Measured by a multi-meter. The rectifier seems is also good. Forward voltage 0.7V. No short diodes. Don't know what to do next. Sigh,
I've recently started getting a "Wireless Range Extender" with my Eero wireless network. Everything still seems to work through - I can play music to all of my Sonos speakers, and group them. I do not have a Sonos Boost or any speaker hard-wired to my router. Anyone else seeing this behavior?
hello, i was wondering if the new sonos connect i bought works hooked up to my Anthem MCA-5 external power amp? I know it would be better with a home theatre or stereo reliever but will this setup work and if so what do i need to hook up to make sure i don't blow the amp or the speakers (which are gonna be brand new)? thanks in advance!
Is it possible to connect the Play:1 speaker to a laptop to watch a movie, or does the audio only play music through the approved services on the app? Thanks.
Hi all, we recently moved from the US to Europe and took our Sonos speakers with us as well. Is there any possibility for us to switch powecords in our play:1 from US to Europe? Plan B would be to use power converters, but I just wanted to check. Thanks
I am planning on adding a turntable to my connect, if I connect via RCA (pre-amped obvs), then what bit rate and frequency will the connect DAC digitise at? If I use an external DAC what is the maximum bit rate and frequency that will played across my Sonos system if connected optically? I want to know in terms of whether its worth buying a better deck than using one of my SL1200's . . . Can't find any DAC specs anywhere
I am new to Sonos and have spent hours searching how to turn off the speaker when not home, the only way to stop the sound is to tap pause, must be a better way. Help
I noticed two different series A100 and A200 ( I saw this on the package) for Sonos one. What is the difference? Thanks!
Now that major companies have their software available as universal app in the Windows Store of Windows 10, I was actually surprised that I didn’t found anything from Sonos there and that I had to install the Sonos Controller for Windows 10 via the classic download from the website. So,I would appreciate to have the Sonos Controller for Windows 10 available in the Windows Store as well, just like Apple iTunes.
My microphone appears to be permanently disabled. If I press the button it does not stay on. Please help
Hi When i installed my beam yesterday Alexa worked fine. Today I got round to connecting the Beam to my TV - a LG UK6950PLB and the Alexa capabilities have stopped completely. I can both play music via the app, and listen to the TV through the Beam but the Beam does not respond to any voice commands. I've tried deregesting the app and the device on my phone, and can control the the TV via a echo device in the my kitchen.

Hi Sonos users! Here a very happy Sonos user (customer). I've been using it for a couple of months. At first I had only one speaker. Because it's expansive enough, I bought at first only one. I listened it one month and because it worked well, I bought another and formed them stereo's pair. All works fine, couple times I've got updates. Our bedroom is not big and Play ONE Stereo pair is completely perfect. I often use a timer that is very useful. It make it quiet so when playlist plays it doen't make it too long when sleeping that woudn't disturbed. We'll basically use Apple Music family package, but also the Radio and my wife loves use via Airplay2 things. We're very pleased. Interesting, how lots of people have it in the bedroom? I think it feels very nice. I just share my good opinion. 🆒
Still can't access my computer library. I can through Ethernet cable but when it's just wifi the above message comes up. Does anyone know how to help? The Sonos guy who took hold of my computer said it was an service provider issue when he saw my computer listed as 'N/A' rather than its name. I am so stuck!
Hi all, Yesterday i noticed that the beam had disconnected from my Samsung TV. Its been connected via Arc for 3 months with no issues. Now, when using the remote to adjust volume, its displaying the volume level with "tv speaker" next to it. There must be a signal, because i can adjust the volume on my phone and over power the tv speaker volume. Ive cycled power on TV, Beam and cycled the ARC lead. Are there firmware issues at the moment that im unaware of? Streaming music fine so no issue with the hardware. Any help would be appreciated. Many thanks.
Hello Sonos Community! I have a Sony STR-DH790 multi channel AVR powering 7 built in wired speakers in my family room. I want to extend the same music/sound outdoors to play simultaneously, but don’t yet have an outdoor system. Do Sonos wireless audio solutions allow for this type of connectivity to an existing AVR? If so, what do I need to make this work?
I heard that you can install a Playbar ABOVE a TV, but that the Playbar unit should be installed UPSIDE DOWN. That can't be true, right?
My new set of Play:1's cannot stay syncronized .... (Paired as stereo pair) First of all I posted a comment here at this thread yesterday: https://ask.sonos.com/sonos/topics/speakers-not-synced-in-stereo Secondly: I tried changing the wifi channel (1, 6, and 11), factory reset and rebooting them individually. Nothing works. The Play:1's keep drifting into echoing after about 120 seconds of stereo paired playing. Is there anything I can do apart from all the above that was tried out to get my set of Play:1's to play in proper stereo without echoing i.e. playing syncronized? I would really appreciate a support response to this.
I recently bought a pair of Sonos Ones I have them set up as a stereo pair and if I play music through them using the Sonos Controller everything works beautifully. However, with the new AirPlay functionality I thought it would be great to use them as speakers for my Mac. My Mac OS is up to date and I can see the speakers in the sound menu and play sound through them. My previous set up was to use the speakers built into my monitor. Unfortunately the sound played through the Sonos Ones via Airplay is poor quality - I have tried playing things on YouTube and things on Spotify (not using Spotify connect) on the computer and the sound is rather "muddy" - it is much clearer when coming out of the monitor speakers. Since then I have read that Mac OS only supports Airplay 2 via iTunes and not through the system audio. So I tried playing through the Sonos speakers via Airplay directly from iTunes rather than choosing the system sound output to the Sonos. And when I did this the playback wa
Hi there, I've just bought a third play 1 to add to the two I currently have connected to my Bridge. For some reason the new component is not connecting to the system when I press the play and vol up buttons as requested. I'm confused as the other two play1s are working fine. I have tried connecting using both my Android phone and my Mac, and the result is the same. The new component is definitely within range of the Bridge/router. Any ideas?
