I have a play 3 that was on a surge protector, in the same room & never moved, was rarely used which is now not working. It has no power. I checked the power cord and it works on my other sonos speaker. I am disappointed because I was told by customer support that the only option is for me to pay close the purchase price for a replacement speaker because the product is out of warranty. I have 3 Sonos speakers and intended to outfit my next home with this Brand of speakers, because I liked the sound quality of my two play 1. At this point however, I am afraid to invest any more money in a product that has such a short lifespan and substandard costumer support for faulty products. Hopefully, Sonos will redeem themselves before losing more loyal and valued customers.
I have a Play 5 gen 2, and it fell off a shelf, fortunatelly on a sofa, but the cable tore apart. I’d like to see if I can repair it.
I just purchased my sonos system today and was excited to set it up. I downloaded the sonos controller from the App Store for my iPhone 5S. I have a bridge and a play 1. I started playing music through the "on this phone" option. I added one of my playlists to the queue and started listening, however, each song only plays half way through before it skips to the next song. Is there a setting somewhere that I'm missing? Not a happy camper right now 😞
New sonos play:1 user. had the speaker since december with no issues, playing songs from my spotify app to sonos wirelessly with no skips and stopping of songs. in the past week every song i play this is happening to all of a sudden. i’m aware of sonos current issue with auto lock and airplay feature, both have always been turned off on my phone and still same issue. have rebooted, redownloaded, reset etc. i have tried to change wireless channel on the IP address but can’t figure out how to do that yet? Have also been getting the notification ‘unable to play (insert song) - network connection speed insufficient to maintain playback buffer’. seems like an obvious wi-fi issue but i’m not great with tech stuff and my usual switch off switch on trick hasn’t worked, so i’m stumped. no other wi-fi related issues in the house and sonos used to play perfectly before last week. submitted diagnostic, configuration number is 696190640 any help would be appreciated!
I know I must be missing something really obvious, but how in the heck do you set up preset Groups? We can add and remove speakers on the fly from Groups, but having to do that each and every time is getting really old. There must be a way to set up a preset so that, as an example, in the mornings, we can select the "Downstairs" Group to play music on, while at night, we can select the "Master Bedroom" Group, and when people come over, we can select the "All Speakers" Group, without having to manually add/remove speakers every single time. When there are only one or two speakers, it's not that big a deal, but once you get to having 4, 5, 6, or more speakers, it's kind of a pain.
Well, Audible is working great. The Alexa skill is working great. I would love to see Trueplay added to Android. I know there must me a solution (e.g. add-on microphone).
Sort-of just for fun, but I am curious how many Sonos devices do you own, and what does your setup look like? I feel I have developed a bit of an addiction with more than 14 in my 4-bedroom home, ha! I tell my wife "some folks get tattoos, I get SONOS". Curious what the rest of the community has in their setup 🙂
I am trying to set up my PLAY:1 and can't complete the process. It can find my player and asks me to hold down the two buttons until I hear a chime, which I do, and then nothing happens. It doesn't move beyond that screen, and the flashing amber light eventually becomes a solid red. My computer app tells me it couldn't find it, even though it found it seconds before to identify which player I wanted to add. This is a new PLAY:1 that I was sent about 6 months ago when my other one did the same thing. I did do a factory reset once because it was my only remaining recourse. Any ideas? MY PLAY:3 is connected and works fine.
I have a Play 1 and recently the speaker cracks whenever lower bassier tones are played. Is this something that can be sent in for repair?
I purchased a sonos playbar and subwoofer 2 months ago and have be very pleased with the quality. Last week I purchased another subwoofer and it worked great for 2 days. It now has a solid white light and will not work. I've unplugged the sub and tried to reconnect and it does nothing. Can anyone help?
I had my Subwoofer for only 4 day until it quit working. Little disappointed. I noticed a hot electrical type smell for a few days then on the last day it just quit, would not connect. Is there any known issues with this type of failure? I bought it through ABT, they are going to exchange it for a new one.
I have mixed feelings about the music playing abilities of the Beam. Sometimes it’s quite impressive, and at other times I’ve been thinking something sounded off. Then I finally found a song where I could easily identify and reproduce a section where my Beam falls flat. With the song “Hope She’ll Be Happier” by Bill Withers at 2:37 in (this is the song in the Bill Withers Essentials playlist on Apple Music); When he hits a certain pitch and holds it for a while, the sound starts to get very distorted. I’ve played this section at about 50% volume. Do you guys hear this as well, or does it sound fine on your end?
Hi, I have 2 playbars for my tv’s, plus 3 Playomes dotted around the house. I stream a lot of music, and was wondering if I get a sub, will my music come from it, or is it just the tv sound?
Can I setup a PLAY:1 and a Sonos One as a stereo pair?
I keep getting error 1101 setting up a new Play 1. Update required, update error over and over. Restarted modem, restarted speaker , closed app restarted app. Tried wi fi tried Ethernet cable. Nothing works. Tried to reset from scratch, can’t seem to do that. Anyone any ideas?
A friend passed a Sonos play 5 to me and it did not work now. It does not power up, and no light. I searched the community topic. Seems it is a common problem. A lot of play 5 have similar problem either within warranty or several months out of warranty or a few years after purchase. The simple power cord check, reset won't work for almost all play5 no power issue though that is a standard reply by someone with Sonos. Mine neither. I contact Sonos on Twitter and got reply fairly quickly. The solution is return and fix with ~$350 + tax =~$380 due to out of warranty. Too expensive to fix it, the new one is $500. Someone on this community said they fix the issue by replacing a fuse and a rectifier. I opened it and found the fuse is good. Measured by a multi-meter. The rectifier seems is also good. Forward voltage 0.7V. No short diodes. Don't know what to do next. Sigh,
I've recently started getting a "Wireless Range Extender" with my Eero wireless network. Everything still seems to work through - I can play music to all of my Sonos speakers, and group them. I do not have a Sonos Boost or any speaker hard-wired to my router. Anyone else seeing this behavior?
hello, i was wondering if the new sonos connect i bought works hooked up to my Anthem MCA-5 external power amp? I know it would be better with a home theatre or stereo reliever but will this setup work and if so what do i need to hook up to make sure i don't blow the amp or the speakers (which are gonna be brand new)? thanks in advance!
Is it possible to connect the Play:1 speaker to a laptop to watch a movie, or does the audio only play music through the approved services on the app? Thanks.
Hi all, we recently moved from the US to Europe and took our Sonos speakers with us as well. Is there any possibility for us to switch powecords in our play:1 from US to Europe? Plan B would be to use power converters, but I just wanted to check. Thanks
I am planning on adding a turntable to my connect, if I connect via RCA (pre-amped obvs), then what bit rate and frequency will the connect DAC digitise at? If I use an external DAC what is the maximum bit rate and frequency that will played across my Sonos system if connected optically? I want to know in terms of whether its worth buying a better deck than using one of my SL1200's . . . Can't find any DAC specs anywhere
I am new to Sonos and have spent hours searching how to turn off the speaker when not home, the only way to stop the sound is to tap pause, must be a better way. Help
I noticed two different series A100 and A200 ( I saw this on the package) for Sonos one. What is the difference? Thanks!
Now that major companies have their software available as universal app in the Windows Store of Windows 10, I was actually surprised that I didn’t found anything from Sonos there and that I had to install the Sonos Controller for Windows 10 via the classic download from the website. So,I would appreciate to have the Sonos Controller for Windows 10 available in the Windows Store as well, just like Apple iTunes.
My microphone appears to be permanently disabled. If I press the button it does not stay on. Please help
