When stereo paired as left and right surrounds, can Sonos Five speakers be horizontal? The description on the product site almost infers that they can only be vertical when paired, so I wanted to confirm. Thanks.
I own multiple Sonos products and recently purchased the Move. Comparing the Move to the One SL's, the volume output of the Move doesn't seem to meet or exceed the volume of the One's. And before it's mentioned I don't have the volume limited on the S2 App (it's at 100%). Is this normal? Thanks in advance for any help.
Hello everybody, Is the Sonos move design to always be on the charger ring? Thanks in advance. Julie
Hi,I have a playbar attached to my TV (it’s actually a plasma monitor). Playbar is about 4 years old. This is not our primary viewing room (though it does get a lot of use) as I have a separate room for that.I’d like a little better audio than just the playbar. My question is which surround speakers would be preferable in this room which is approx 16’ x 16’.?Would it be a pair of the new Fives or is that overkill? What about a pair of the Play speakers?thanks in advance.
Hello,Before anything else I want to let you know that I am aware that the sonos products work through the sonos app and the best way to connect the Symfonisk lamps are through a beam or an arc and set them as surround.Getting that of our way, I trying to figure out a cheaper way of doing this. Does anyone on this forum own an apple 4k tv (5th gen) and 2 Ikea Symfonisk lamps? I am curious of 2 essential aspects:Can the apple 4k tv be connected to the TV and simply act as an audio out device to the Ikea Symfonisk lamps (in stereo)? (I am not interested in using the apple 4k tv to its intended purpose and to use its apps, but only act as the audio out to those speakers via airplay 2) If the answer is yes to number 1, is there any audio delay, de-sync with the image from the TV?A bit of an example for a more accurate visual representation: let’s say one owns an LG CX Oled display TV, an apple 4k tv and 2 Ikea Symfonisk lamps. I am wondering if I could watch TV and send the audio via hdmi
I have a split system - the old S1 is working fine but sonos 2 is not seeing either of my newer speakers. I have tried turning then on and off and resetting the router. I have submitted a diagnostics report. It is after hours. What is the next step to recover connection? Thanks
Hi I’ve just inherited my late father’s old Sonos Zoneplayer S5. I already have 2 Play 1s and a Play 3 on my system but note I have to use the old Sonos app to manage the Zoneplayer S5. Are there any plans to update the new app to manage the Zoneplayer S5 at all? Also is there any way to connect the Zoneplayer S5 to my Alexa system? Many thanks
I would like to turn off trueplay nag in settings on my appI dont use trueplay and never will
I have one group of speakers consisting of an Arc, Sub (Gen 3), and two One SLs as rears. I have another group of Fives running as a stereo pair. When listening to music I have both groups going and it sounds great, as you might imagine. :-) The system does play loud, no doubt about it! But I want it louder, and I can tell it’s definitely capable of more volume! I’m playing music via my iPhone on Airplay. I do *not* have the volume limiter enabled. I think I gained a few decibels by forcing “uncompressed” music rather than “automatic” switching for compression. The “loudness” setting is enabled. Any other ideas? Thanks!
bonjour, peut-on associer le caisson de grave (sub sonos) a 2 fives? est-ce que les graves sont alors de qualité Hi-fi? est d'un intérêt réel mélomane?. merci pour vos réponses
Trying to figure out why YouTube music doesn't see Move as a Chromecast device. Google Play Music saw the Move just fine but now Google Play music has be sunsetted and is no more. I'm curious if this is a YouTube music issue or a sonos issue or my issue? Anyone else use the native YouTube music app on latest Android and have similar issue? I have YouTube music linked to the sonos app but I'd rather use the native app to cast.
The cases on my two play 1's are cracking in the same place, on the top and to the rear of the speaker. No kid or pets to cause damage
I am so frustrated and have started carrying around my Bluetooth speaker now. How can it be possible that the Sonos app keeps stopping saying something about Spotify starting in another room. It is just me…. And my Amazon Music app always just stops randomly. I am fed up and hope someone can help.
I’m having problems with my play ones audio kicking out and sometimes the audio sound as if it is coming from a tin can. (mostly listening to internet talk radio). I’m wondering if it is because of how I have it set up. Also the audio sounds much better if I stream via the TV app (YouTube TV) vs playing through the apple tv app Youtube TV. Right now watching TV I have no audio from my play 1’s.Apple TV 4KLG smart TVBoost- ethernet to Linksys velop router not spectrum modemPlaybar-,ethernet connected to boost. Optic fiber to TVSub and 2 play 1’s wifi on sonos boost.I turned off trueplay because it makes it worse.Music playback fullI’ve considered disabling the whole system and start over, I don’t think I’m getting the great sonos audio. I realize this is not a real 5:1 but I expected better audio quality.
Hello,When I try to start music playing through the Sonos app nothing happens until I physically press play on the speaker. This occurs on all my speakers (playbar, beam, play1). Once pressing play it seems to work fine while I am using it. It seems to have issues in between uses. I do have Alexa, ring doorbell, etc connected up and it’s possible this occurs after a notification. Any idea why the speakers seem to go offline in between uses of the Sonos app like this?Thank you.
Can I use my phone as a wifi hotspot to connect 2 Move speakers in stereo away from home? Or does my phone also need to be connected to the same wifi, hence I would need a separate hotspot?I understand that a lot of folks don’t appreciate the benefits of the stereo experience as much as I do, but to me, the great sound coming from my solitary Move speaker over bluetooth is veritably drowned out by the lack of a stereo sound stage. As someone who has traditionally supplied the music, I have fantasies of carrying the joy of my (future) pair of Moves away from my own backyard when hanging with friends in the exotic locations we are wont to haunt. I enjoy my Move to extend the sound from my living room Sonos system throughout my home and yard, but the idea of the best portable speaker I’ve had (in a long long line of them) not being able to do stereo away from home is dismal.Do I now need to go buy a wifi hotspot along with my 2nd Move?
I have three Sonos Player 1s. I saw old posts with this same topics, but no resolution. I have not used these speakers in a week, yet my home Network with 3 Ubiquity APs running about 30 clients show the top 3 highest upload to network are the three Sonos players. Mind you, I have four professional adults working from home and two kids home schooling. Our work apps and video conferences should be eclipsing any other upload. Why the heck is Sonos showing at 140MB, 100MB and 98 MB upload each yet they are not even in use? What the heck are they uploading? I have ipad and iphone apps for Sonos, background refresh turned off, but bluetooth and local network turned on. Version 11.2.4, Build 57.4.83220, Sonos S1. use alexa, spotify...
I have a Sonos one sl and recently just set up a Sonos beam in the same room. But when I try to pair or bond these, it’s says I need to have 2x Sonos one’s in order to set up the surround. however I am happy with just the single Sonos one sl. Why won’t it simply allow me to bond/ connect with this one on its own. Would I need to buy another Sonos one sl simply to connect it together.
Hi. Every time ‘without fail’ I go onto the sonos app I get a different speaker dropped from my setup. Then sometimes it will not connect to anything. Then sometimes it takes about 30seconds then I’m in with all 3 speakers connected. This has only recently started happening and used to work absolutely fine, even with the S2 app. There is nothing wrong with the power connection to the sonos products, nothing wrong with the internet connection and I’ve even completely reconnected every speaker after rebooting the router. Is anybody else getting this issue?. It’s so frustrating and am running out of ideas. I’ve even changed the wifi router channel to be on the suggested 1 or 6 (2ghz). Still nothing. Thanks Ross
Last year I purchased a white speaker for my kitchen. The case is white but the grille is black. Is it possible to swap out the black grille for a white one?
Hey EveryoneSorry but i am a bit tech un savy but. i have a Sonos 5 that i have set up easily in my house with also two Sonos one,s. I can not get the small 3,5 audio input in the back to accept a device. ( well it does but ...) Whatever i plug in plays really really slow and muffled and volume really low. what am i doing wrong. I have plugged the out put earphone from my tv into it, plugged the cd player, and my ipod and anderoid phone - same result. I am sure i must be doing something wrong? The instructions say plug your device in with a 3,5 jacj and and other end into source with rca ( white and red outputs). I know this is a stupid question but perhaps i need a amp? ( tv out and phone no though?) The 3.5 will not go in all the way either.. sits out 3-5mm from back of sonos- is this normal? please help and thankyou

How do I connect a wireless mic to my sonos system? I have Sonos Play 1
Among all the units I have, I have two PlayBars. They're good, but I find there isn't much stereo image. I think this is purely because the L and R speaker sets are close together. My suggestion is that for this product and any stereo pair you have an option to enhance the stereo. This can easily be done in DSP by matrixing to L+R and L-R, increasing the gain of the L-R, then matrixing back to L and R.Maybe an option in the app - ideally with an ‘amount’ setting which would control the amount of extra gain applied in DSP to the L-R.There are cleverer ways of enhancing stereo, like only amplifying the L-R when there’s a peak, but I think for most situations, the simple approach would work well. Then we could 'widen' the stereo image.
