I searched the forum but cannot find an answer. Does the One (SL) have better WiFi/Sonosnet radio or antennas than the older Play1? Will it connect better/stronger to Sonosnet than a Play1 will do? 

I set up my second Roam to the first one and used the PAIR feature in settings. All goes well. Music plays in stereo, etc. But when I come back later to play music the two Roams have ‘separated’ on their own and assigned themselves new names.One is named the original Roam’s name (which was the name of the room it was in) and the new Roam just takes on a generic name like ala ‘Sonos Roam’.I relink them, they play. And then in awhile they disconnect on their own.Customer support says I’ve got to go into some crazy-a55 process with my Comcast router, and settings and what not -- but I have a feeling there is a simpler solution. Yes? \Any suggestions appreciated, thanks. 

Just opened my $169 Roam - and was shocked to learn it didn’t come with any kind of carrying case and/or a strap.  Seems that for this kind of money and a product that is meant to “roam” a case should be included.  

Is there a clear explanation of the Roam’s power modes anywhere? I have been experimenting with it and am confused by a few things when it is not being charged.Firstly there seem to be two ways of it sleeping: sometimes it sleeps about a minute after being full-on and idle, and other times it stays awake for a long time.Secondly the white light is sometimes on when it is awake, but sometimes the light is not on when it is awake. I can’t tell what the difference between these two modes is, or how it chooses.The red led does seem to be consistently on when charging, so that one I understand.There is also some weirdness with UPnP events during the sleep/re-awake cycle but that probably just needs more poking around on my part.

I just fitted the Sonos sub on its side, under my bed. I cant begin to explain to you how much more bass you actually feel and deeper tones. I guess the bed frame acts like an enclosure.This has absolutely transformed my experience. If you like the Sub now, you need to do this immediately.

A bit of preamble… I own a trio of Sonos One speakers and am considering buying a Sonos Roam.  After a recent move, I found myself with spotty Internet access.  I have a travel router that I use to make my own private WiFi network for my apartment, but it is not connected to the Internet (unless I turn my phone into a mobile hotspot).  Currently, if I want to use my Sonos system in this (admittedly janky) set-up, I need to use my phone as a hotspot - and even then there’s some lag time.Enter the Sonos Roam.  Obviously, I can play music from my phone over the Roam via a bluetooth location.  What I want to know is, can I use the Roam’s Sound Swap feature to play music from my phone onto my entire Sonos system (assuming that my WiFi network is not connected to the Internet)?  Feel free to ask clarifying questions if I botched the description of my jury-rigged WiFi...

Hi. I’m new here :) I was an audio addict years ago and had a big setup. This was when CDs and big DACs ruled the landscape.  fast forward 15 years, 3 different houses and now two children and my listening has changed dramatically. The CDs are gone, the big 2way setup is gone, and it’s all spotify and casting to different speakers. Yep I went for convenience over clarity!  Early this year I bought a play5 gen 2 for my living room. It sounded good but wasn’t that exiting. Just nice and clear. I came across another at a good price a few months ago so I grabbed it and set up a stereo pair. This sounded a LOT better. Since then I have changed to tidal, but learned that Sonos doesn’t like their hi res audio. (I’m steaming off my iPhone 12) So a week ago I set up a Qobuz account and started streaming their Hires gear. This sounded so much better, it reminded me a lot of my “old glory days” just with a fifth of the physical footprint!  Rhys has me wondering what people use to feed their 5s. I

I have two Sonos Play 5 paired for stereo plus the Sonos Sub.  Is there anyway for me to connect these to play as a stereo pair plus sub to my TV.

We recently purchased our 2nd Move. We love them.What are the chances that the charging bases will come with USB-C style chord?the move is positioned on our kitchen desk and the power outlet is inside a cabinet the accesshole is too small for the plug to pass through?

I wonder if anyone can help with a little matrix problem I have.  My Living Room device sends out to the Dining Room and Kitchen… both are the same distance away… the kitchen and dining room are also very close to each otherMy question is why is the living room sending out to the Dining Room and Kitchen, but neither the kitchen or dining room mesh with each other? They send back to the living room…. but not with each other and they are physically very close. Should it not create a complete mesh will all sending and receiving to each other? The dining room to the kitchen says it has an inbound and outbound value, but says blocked…  Thanks for any insight.  

Hey, does Sonos pro-ject t1 work wirelessly without any other equipment with Sonos one speakers dual set? 

Really annoyed the queue function is broken. For example... Add a song or two to the playlist. Say you have sonf ABC and song DCE in the playlist. You then search and add song ZZZ to the playlist and click add to queue or add next. It will add it and you will see it between ABC and DCE but it will play DCE not ZZZ. Will skip over ZZZ Everytime. We have tested this twenty times and it f's up Everytime. Please fix. Used to work exactly as expected.

Is it possible or via Bluetooth, the speakers cannot be paired?

Hi,  Does anyone know if I can exchange/trade-in my Sonos One for Sonos Five? If yes, how much lesser would the Sonos Five cost me?The Sonos One (Gen 2) I have is only 3 months old and I am looking to upgrade. 

Hi,I have an Apple TV 4K connected to my TV which is the connected to my Sonos Beam. I then have two Play:1 speakers connected as surrounds. I want to use this setup to listen to Apple Music lossless.  My Apple TV is setup to lossless and Dolby Atmos when available. When I play an album from Apple in Atmos it plays across all speakers as full surround. When I select an album that isn’t in Atmos, only the Beam works.  Is there any way around this? What I’d like is for the group to behave how it does when I stream Apple Music using the S2 app, which is the surrounds operating as one stereo source and the beam as the other, but in lossless quality. 

When connected to Sonos One using Airplay (via system sound setting), there is no sound at all. this works: Intel Macbook pro does not work: m1 Mac mini

How do I turn down the volume of these sounds? They are incredibly loud! Thanks! 

I just got a Sonos Beam today, with the intention of using it as a speaker for my PC. I plugged it in via the optical cable attachment, plugged in the power cable, but my PC isn’t registering that it’s plugged in. When I hit the test sound button, I hear nothing.To make matters worse, the Sonos app is completely bugging out as well. I connected it and paired the Beam, then it says that there’s a problem and I need to finish setup. But then it says that it can’t locate the Beam, even though it literally just connected to it about 1 minute prior.I’ve tried reinstalling the app and trying over 2 times now, but nothing worked. I tried changing the audio formats on Windows 10 in case the Beam can’t support a specific frequency, but no matter what frequency I choose, it doesn’t play anything.

My Roam that died about 1 ½ weeks ago and I immediately tried to reset/reboot by using troubleshooting steps on the Sonos website with no luck.  Then I tried the Sonos chat and, after asking me to try everything I had done before, they told me I had to call Sonos support .  After talking to S support at least 7 times over 5 days and having them require me to send a video of the reboot/reset steps I had taken multiple times, they finally sent me a RMA to replace the Roam.  To get S to send the replacement before they received the dead Roam, they required me to pay full retail (I got a discount by having an S Connect) which they promised to refund after they received the defective Roam.  After having not having the use of the R for so long, the option of waiting for a replacement until they received the dead R was a non starter for me. I received the replacement today and it seems to be performing well.  We’ll see how long it takes them to get the refund to me as they received the dead R

Hello!Every time I go to play music from spotify, I choose to output the sound on "Kitchen + 2" to get it to play on my Sonos speakers. After music is started on the rest of the speakers, I open the sonos app and add the Move to the group of speakers where I'm playing music.Is there any way to get the Move to stay among the other speakers so I can play music on them all right away? (I would also love to have spotify default output to sonos, but I guess that’s a spotify issue and not a sonos issue?)

I need a longer power cable for my Arc. I’d say 5 meters should do it. Can I use a generic non-polarized IEC C8 cable?

Wondering if I I have a Firestick 4K connected to TV with Sonos Arc,  could I play music on the Echo/Alexa everywhere group?  Thus using Sonos sound bar like an echo device for multi room music. 

I recently got the Sonos move in February 2021 but the battery drains really fast. After 6hrs of continuous use instead of the normal 11-14hrs. I’ve tried contacting customer service and after submitting a bunch of diagnostics, they haven’t responded back which is very disappointing and poor. Anyone with a suggestion to improve battery life? Is the unit defective?

I have a speaker in my shed that I set up to play and it may play a day or two and then it isn’t playing. So I’m wondering if Sonos shuts it down or is there a problem somewhere else like maybe my network.

When charging the Roam with the Sonos charging pad does it matter if it is horizontal or vertical? It seems like it should charge in any orientation.
